Off to the session! I'm drugged up and hoping all goes well.
And the word of the day is: AUREATE!
Wise move Ginny... There is nothing worse that taking down wet decorations
Question: do you have snow on the ground all winter or just parts of winter?
You know what surprises me? That your grass is green under the snow. Our grass (bermuda) goes dormant in the winter. It surprises me that our grass is dead in the relative warmth while yours stays green.
(Ok. Some people here do plant winter lawns. I wonder if they would stay green under snow?)
Excellent vibes for the HELPER this morning.
Recording vibes for DR ELMORE & Co.
Ginny, I have also noted hints of dormant green grass.. However it will be a LONG time before we see green. It is very white here at the moment with 50 inches of snow on the ground
JRand, how can you go without breakfast...it is the most important meal of the day.
One of the few remaining leading ladies from the days of the early talkies, Miriam Seegar, died last weekend at her home in Pasadena at the age of 103.

She debuted in films in 1928 and retired from acting in 1932 when she got married. When her husband died in the late 1950s she began working as an interior decorator, a job she retired from in 1995 at the age of 88.
She sure was purty!

UGH!
DR Ron why would the news need to report Elizabeth Edwards didn't leave anything to John? Is there anyone who would think she would have. Don't try understanding the stupid stories in the news. ;)
Tonight is the GoDaddy.com bowl in Mobile, Alabama, and one of the contenders is Miami University. Our niece/goddaughter Lauren is there with the team as a trainer and, apparently, has had a fabulous week. One of her heroines is Danica Patrick, who spoke at the Mayor's luncheon yesterday. Here is the autographed football Lauren received:
What is this insane obsession the entertainment media have with the Kardashians??????
Anyone?????

I have always said that & believed in eating breakfast, now I rarely eat it until I return from my morning hike. I get sick if I eat first.

I'm surprised that you can hike without eating first. I would never do exercise without eating first. Your body needs it. One time I tried to bike without eating first and I did not have enough energy to do it.
I have never had grits.
We had a fantastic day of recording! It went so well that I had to call our second singer tomorrow and ask her to come an hour early. Good work from Ron, Jeanne, and Marnie, and I think these recordngs will rock.

DRs, I have this peculiar memory that several years ago someone posted on this sight a link to chickens clucking opera. Am I making this up?
Casino Royale is getting some wonderful comments - people can really hear the difference between this and the other two CD releases and I think what's REALLY astonishing them is how great the first presentation is - the one from the damaged tape. What we did, that was apparently not of interest to Varese, was to compensate for the problems and fix the dropouts and the result, to my ears, is that it sounds better than the LP presentation, which is simply a flat transfer of the LP as it originally sounded. Ours sounds fuller and more detailed - that was even astonishing to me.

Whew! It looks like the possible MRSA was a false alarm!
That's good news, TCB!

phew......
Oh heck, I'll eat about anything for breakfast. I even like cold pizza
Oh and I got a subpoena to be a witness for the prosecution in a murder trial....
Go Red Hawks!
Oh and I got a subpoena to be a witness for the prosecution in a murder trial....
Laters!
Ok, I need to get back to work. I've had two cases that have really been bugging me. I knew there was something that I was missing. That piece of the puzzle I just couldn't figure out. I think I figured out both of them today. Now I have to write it all in a two separate briefs....one needs to be done tomorrow....so I've got a late night ahead. I just got home about an hour ago so I needed a breather, but now I better get busy or I'll be up all night
I was telling someone today that Tacoma is a very easy city to get around in because all of the avenues go north to south and all of the streets go east and west. They looked at me very strangely.
Now I know why; because that is the way New York City is laid out, not Tacoma! God, I am stupid!

Wait! What??
TOD - one of the best brunches I've ever had was at Sarabeth's Kitchen on Central Park South before our Central Park walking tour with DR Jose. I had the garden omelette, with broccoli, corn, carrots, and cheddar cheese - lots of veggies, very crisp.
I'm off to a band rehearsal for a production of The Wedding Singer Kind of sneaked up on me this afternoon. Haven't seen the part yet and I'm suppose to combine Key 2 and Key 3. I wish I could line up enough playing gigs so I don't have to musical direct! I know that sounds weird, but I'm almost to the point where I find it easier not being in charge.

I have always found it helpful to blame the other guy.

We just got some great glimpses of niece/goddaughter Lauren during the sideline celebration of a Miami interception that was run back for a touchdown. She looked so happy!

It is so wonderful that she is having this opportunity!
Haven't heard anything about the helper - am hoping our excellent vibes and xylophones were helpful.
This was posted on the Film Score Monthly messageboard:
Just recieved and listened to CASINO ROYALE today. Holy Kritzerland,
Batman! What a listen! You fellas really did a number on this one - and
an utterly delightful number it is! I never thought this one would sound as
great as this cd, but here it is. I don't how James Nelson got it to sound this
stunning, but it's absolutely crystal clear without those annoying dropouts
and flutter that plagued the previous cd. I absolutely LOVE the resequencing
of the cues. Not to take away anything that Phil Ramone did for the LP, but
the new track order just makes more sense in narrative musical sense.
I really anticipated how the editing would segue from Big Cowboys and
Indians into the vocal end title, and it sounds perfect - like it should have
always been there. Anyway...Bruce, James....BRAVO!!!
That booklet is a real eye opener. Gorgeous, beautiful color layout.
PS. The Keystone Kops snippet made bust up.
Den
I hope the weather clears up for you, Vixmom!
So, I wonder how long Cillaliz is going to wait before she comes back and finishes her story about the murder trial.
LOL, DR Ron Pulliam!
In other matters, do you have any South Carolina (specifically Charleston) tips for us?
Maybe. But I am interested to know how she is a witness in a murder case.
I'm SHOCKED, I tell you! SHOCKED!
I was not expecting anything like THIS (http://sports.yahoo.com/olympics/blog/fourth_place_medal/post/In-his-new-book-ice-skater-Johnny-Weir-says-tha?urn=oly-304440&print=1) to be made public.
Why, it will set the sport back many decades.
Who'd a thunk it!!!
:)
YAY - Miami RedHawks win the GoDaddy.com Bowl!

DR George, thanks for the link!
I'm praying Craig receives a call tomorrow with good news about the job he interviewed for.
