Well, you've read the notes, the notes were homeward bound, and now it is time for you to post until the homeward bound cows come home.

The callbacks for Cannibal! The Musical! went well.  We'll all be told sometime Saturday if we're in the show.  They're planning on having a pot-luck and read-through on Sunday evening, but I'll be working concessions at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts.  Normally, I'd get out of it, but the performers are Kathy Najimy and the Seattle Women's Chorus!  Fortunately, Pug, the director said that it's okay for me to miss this one read-through.  I mean, come on...it's Kathy Najimy!

I think I managed to get three hours of sleep which is better than no hours of sleep.  At the airport gift shop I got some Afrin, as recommended, and just squirted two shots in each nostril and hopefully that will help for the next twelve hours.

For the first time in ages they went through my overnight bag - I never take out the toiletries and never have a problem but in Ft. Myers they're very persnickety about the toiletries.  They went through it quickly and that was that.  We should board in about thirty minutes.

Morning all.

I'm looking forward to the next fews day for relaxation and sleep. I don't have pain but I'm sore and sitting down and getting up puts pressure on the spot so I have to be careful how I move, otherwise all is progressing well.

Good morning, all! I slept well last night, and that was a novelty.

This morning I will drag myself to City Center and spend some time with Joshie and WHERE'S CHARLEY? I have no idea how long I will be there. When I get back, I have somne notes from yesterday's NYPL trip to transcribe.

I hope the four DRs have received their requested CDs of  ONE TOUCH OF VENUS!

BK, am so glad the Linda and Greg show went well....I am so looking forward to Linda's show in April...wish Greg was going to be part of it...I would very much enjoy hearing him sing...actually, just looking at him would likely be enjoyable...but with singing, doubly so.

There will be a guy with Linda at her show in Salem, but I am not familiar with him. Len Lessack is his name.

Looks like he is ignoring the non-Broadway stuff in his career, or at least the title suggests that since "Evening Primrose," to cite just one example, is before that. Wonder if "Singing Out Loud" will be included, too.

I'm hoping it will be available on home video in the near future.   I well remember that plane crash.  I had watched my first Winter Olympics in 1960 on ABC television, channel 13, out of Asheville NC.  It was a mesmerizing experience.   It was really devastating that the U.S. figure skating team was lost in that crash. So many lives, hopes and dreams lost forever.

There will be a guy with Linda at her show in Salem, but I am not familiar with him. Len Lessack is his name.

He's done some albums on the LML label.

Didn't he start the LML label?
You could be right.

Thank you.  I didn't watch the video when it first hit the news.  I realize now I should have simply to be educated.

DR Ginny has DS Rob commented if he has learned what to do in a situation like this?

Turns out, I did remember correctly (http://lmlmusic.com/about/):

Quote
LML Music is an independent label dedicated to distributing the finest in Cabaret, Jazz and Broadway vocals. All of the artists on LML have produced their own recordings; some independently and others with the incredible support of their friends and fans. Here you will discover some of the most incredible and heartfelt voices you shall ever experience.

Founded in 1995 by award-winning recording artist Lee Lessack, LML now distributes for over 65 vocalists in the US & Canada. We have also recently signed distribution deals in Australia, Ireland and the United Kingdom. In addition we have expanded our catalogue to include some of the finest LIVE concert recordings produced by the Actors’ Fund of America and the S.T.A.G.E. organization. In 2004 LML also signed distribution deals with two other boutique labels, Midder Music and Ducy Lee....

End of March or early April--you can preorder on Amazon...lots of people already have!

For some reason I didn't think there was going to be a video.  I'm going to purchase the DVD & wait to get the local ticket.  That way if the weather keeps me home, or any other reason, I won't take a seat someone else would have used.  I know Craig wants to see it and it looks like he can't go on the night it is showing in town.

I got home early this afternoon.  I had to go to see my doctor this morning so that he could slice open my armpit.  Yes indeed, it is the return of not one, but two MRSA attacks.  Both of them in my right armpit.  I had planned to have this procedure today, and then I was going to take tomorrow off, so that I would have five days off in a row to heal (and not to have to worry about not using deoderant on one side of my body).

Well, my co-worker, Ken (who has Fridays off) told our other co-worker that I was going to be taking Friday off.  She flipped out and said that she was not going to get stuck working alone.  So, she got her leave slip in early, and approved, so I guess I will be going to work tomorrow no matter what.

He's baaaaaack! It's been a long, but good, day. I had a good time with Joshie at Encores!, and then I had to run to an audition. In my quest for young singers for this project begun with the Herbert recordings I heard a young baritone, Kasey Marino, who sang for us "On The Street Where You Live" and "If I Loved You." I have to confer with my musical guru, Mr Hicks, but I was very happy with what I heard and I hope we can add Kasey to our roster. My next audition will be with a young comedienne I think is wonderful, and I need to set that up soon.

TCB - Is there some danger to a woman being there by herself?

Actually, none whatsoever.  For years it has been an inside joke that we have to have one person there in case of IV-E emergencies.  That started years ago when one of our former supervisors refused to let us all have Christmas Eve off.  Her reasoning was, "What happens if there is a IV-E emergency?"

There are no IV-E emergencies, period.  But now that she went to our acting supervisor to request the day off, I feel somewhat stuck.  Basically having one of us there is just a courtesy for our three hundred social workers.

She is kind of a wack-job anyway.  If the weatherman says there is a possibility of snow showers, she stays home.  When we had our minor little snow storm around Thanksgiving, she stayed home for four days.  When 9-11 happened, she stayed home for a week.  She said she was terrified that our building was going to be blown up.  I told her, "Oh yeah, that is how these terrorists operate.  First the World Trade Center and the Pentagon; and the next day the Social & Helath Services building in Tacoma, WA.  It is all part of their giant plan!"

She didn't speak to me for a month.

Then send her down the river. Sell her out. Make them dump her.

What do you do when your assistant tells you she won't tell you if she knows you're making a mistake

Did she explain her reasons?

Oh she was all mad about a bunch of things yesterday. I think she was letting off steam, but it was this comment that bothers me.  I don't know what is going on with her.  I do know I seem to be working a lot harder and she seems to be doing a lot less

I hope you get the old Edith back soon.  It doesn't make sense not to let you know if you make a mistake unless you are, which obviously you are not, the sort of person who doesn't want to be told.  Mistakes have the potential to hurt your clients.  Does she understand this?

Do you still plan on getting an intern?

Finally!  In the amount of time Craig could have driven to San Francisco he has finally arrived there.  I hope the airline can put him on the early morning flight tomorrow.  Unfortunately the only non-stop flight to his destination is at 4:00PM which is too late.

Right now, I have no idea.  I'm exhausted.  My shoulder has been hurting and I've only had about 4 hours of sleep every night this week, then she did this yesterday, plus the money still hasnt' come from the feds, so I don't quite know what I'm going to do.

I feel like crap and I'm suppposed to go to the lake tomorrow to see some friends for a couple days.  I don't feel like going anywhere, but I have a feeling it's just what I need right now

Maybe fun time at the lake is what you need for everything.  Relax, have fun, have a few drinks (might relax your shoulder) and de-stress.

Have you tried ice on your shoulder?  It helps me.  I alternate it with heat which feels good.

He's done some albums on the LML label.

He owns the LML label. And releases many other artists on his label.

And "Ack-Ack"!

For some reason, burgers and chocolate seem horribly mismatched.

I'm not sure the peanut butter/burger pairing would be high on my list either.

I had a peanut butter burger in New Orleans. It had a kind of Thai flavor to it. Wasn't sweet, but it didn't quite work, but that thing in the photos just looked nastry.

Well, I didn't exactly do nothing all day - holy moley on rye.  Not just answering and dealing with over a hundred e-mails, but returning telephonic calls, and since I finished proofing the book I entered all my corrections save for a few I want to run by Muse Margaret.  And I entered the easy ones from proofer number one, but the other eighty percent I have to also run by Muse Margaret.  Then I finally managed to watch a motion picture and now I'm writing notes, posting them early and hitting the road to dreamland.
