Well, you've read the notes, the notes were rested, energized, and ready to go, and now it is time for you to post until the rested, energized, and ready to go cows come home.

And the word of the day is: IRASCIBLE!

Which I occasionally am, sorry to say.

That is all.

Good morning, all! Yesterday I thought I wasfinally on the new time change cycle, but by 4 pm I could hardly open my eyes, much less get motivated to accomplish anything. Around 7 pm I turned off the lights and slept until 7am this morning. Hopefully, this is the end of this nonsense. I'm tired of this zombie-like behavior.
I'm still on edits of the scores to EILEEN, about halfway through Act Two. In about an hour I will call and book tomorrow's appointment with my barber, then schedule a time with my colleague Curtis to get the edited scores to him.
-
Wednesday morning greetings! My mom is having some company from Arizona today and they've invited me to join them for lunch.

It actually is sunny and relatively warm (50) out so I am off to work and for once not wearing a turtle neck sweater
hopefully the idiot building maintenance co will not react to this "warm" weather by activating the air conditioning

And The Song Of The Day Is: SHOW ME
This one?
"Show Me"
I realized as I lay down to sleep
We haven't spoke in weeks
So many things that I'd like to know
Come have a talk with me
I need a sign, something I can see
Why all the mystery?
I try not to fall for make believe
But what is reality?
Where do we go?
What do we know?
Life has to have a meaning
Show me the light
Show me the way
Show that you're listening
Show me that you love me
Show me that you walk with me
Hopefully, just above me
Heaven's watching over me
Guess it's funny how I say thanks to you
For all you've given me
Sometimes the price of what you gave to me
I can't stop questioning
O God of love, peace, and mercy
Why so much suffering?
I pray for the world, it gets worse to me
Wonder if you're listening
When people go
Why do they go?
Why don't you choose me?
But someday I know
I'm gonna go
I hope you're waiting for me
Show me that you love me
Show me that you walk with me
Hopefully, just above me
Heaven's watching over me
Maybe we'll talk
Some other night
Right now I'll take it easy
Won't spent my time
Waiting to die
Enjoy the life I'm living
Show me that you love me
Show me that you walk with me
Hopefully, just above me
Heaven's watching over me

And the word of the day is: IRASCIBLE!
And The Song Of The Day Is: SHOW ME
or this one?
Freddy
Speak and the world is full of singing
And I'm winging
Higher than the birds
Touch and my heart begins to crumble
The heaven's tumble
Darling, and I'm...
Eliza
Words, words, words, I'm so sick of words
I get words all day through
First from him, now from you
Is that all you blighters can do
Don't talk of stars burning above
If you're in love show me
Tell me no dreams filled with desire
If you're on fire show me
Here we are together in the middle of the night
Don't talk of spring, just hold me tight
Anyone who's ever been in love'll tell you that
This is no time for a chat
Haven't your lips longed for my touch
Don't say how much, show me, show me
Don't talk of love lasting through time
Make me no undying vow
Show me now
Sing me no song, read me no rhyme
Don't waste my time, show me
Don't talk of June, don't talk of fall
Don't talk at all, show me
Never do I ever want to hear another word
There isn't one I haven't heard
Here we are together in what ought to be a dream
Day one more word and I'll scream
Haven't your arms hungered for mine
Please don't "expl'ine", show me, show me
Don't wait until wrinkles and lines
Pop out all over my brow
Show me now

Show Me lyrics
Show me the meaning of the word.
Show me the meaning of the word.
Cuz I've heard so much about it.
They say you can't live without it.
Welcome to the human race,
With its war, diseases and brutality.
You with your innocence and grace.
Restore some pride and dignity to our world in decline.
Welcome to the special place,
And our heart of stone that is cold and grey.
You with your angel face,
Keep the despair at bay, and send it away.
Show me the meaning of the word.
Show me the meaning of the word.
[ From: http://www.elyrics.net/read/p/pretenders-lyrics/show-me-lyrics.html]
Cuz I've heard so much about it.
I don't want to live without it.
Oh,
I want love, I want love.
I want love.
Welcome here from outer space,
The Milky Way's still in your eyes.
You find yourself a hopeless case,
One who is seeking perfection on Earth, some kind of rebirth.
Show me the meaning of the word.
Show me the meaning of the word.
Cuz I've heard so much about it.
Don't make me live without it.
Oh, love.
I want love. I want
Love.
-
And the word of the day is: IRASCIBLE!
And The Song Of The Day Is: SHOW ME
or thisone?
You say that you really love me
I'm always on your mind
And you say I should be your lover
And we should spend some time
But I'm not persuaded that quickly
My heart has been broken before you see
So if you want to be my lover
You have to prove your love is true to me
Cause it's easy to tell me you love me
Easy to say your thinking of me
Words are so easy to say
Chorus:
Show me, Show me, you really love me
Actions speak louder than words
Show me, Show me, you really need me
Cause all those lies I've already heard
Show me, Show me, you really love me
Let me believe that it's true
Show me, Show me, you really need me
And I'll get together with you

This is the first song that popped into me head, DR Vixmom:
Show me
Show me
Show me
How you do that trick
The one that makes me scream
She said
The one that makes me laugh
She said
And threw her arms around my neck
Show me how you do it
And i promise you
I promise that i'll run away with you
I'll run away with you...

BREAKING OF LEGS FOR CAST, CREW AND CREATOR OF KRITZERLAND AT THE GARDENIA VIII!
-
I decided to do the laundry, which is now in the washers, and I've booked my date with the barber for tomorrow. I have to deal with a Toyland problem next.
-
Page 2?
-
Cranberries!
-
Good Morning!
I'm up, I'm up... And I think I may head back to bed for a few more minutes. Or, at the very least, just sit on this couch for a spell.
-
*I fell asleep last night on the couch with the lights still on and still in my clothes. I
hatedon't like when that happens.
-
DR Ben - FYI: Today's ScoutMob deal is 50%-off Pita Joe (http://scoutmob.com/new-york/today/2011-04-06).
-
DR Cillaliz - It turns out that today is the first day of rehearsal for A Time To Kill at Arena Stage. -If I run into Rupert later... ;)
-
Good morning.
-
good morning, all.
-
BK,
Looking forward to your report on THE MOUNTAIN.

Broken leg vibes for MR BK and cast and crew of the 8TH show at the Gardenia!!!
Remembering vibes for the "guest star."
-
Vibes for Gardenia VIII!
-
THANKS THANKS THANKS to my birthday twin!
WOW!
That was fast!
*And it was probably more like $30, I think. -Which, actually, was more like $0 for me since I used a credit that the USPS issued me as a result of an error they acknowledged. -Even if it did take almost six months to process the reimbursement. In any case... Happy Reading!
-
*And I have to say that I really got a lot of bang for the buck using that Large Flat Rate USPS box!
-
And now...
A haircut.
Laters...
-
Yes I always use the FLAT RATE boxes.
-
My question for ASK BK day - do the Gardenia Shows have printed programs?
-
Vibes for Gardenia VIII!
Yes! From me, too!
The laundry is finished, thank God.
-
DR Jane, I was wondering if something is wrong with your email. I got 3 messages from you without subject headings. I didn't open them yet. I was just curious if you actually sent them.
-
It looks like Laurie Mitchell and I will be in NYC in April of 2012. That is all.
-
Off to do a couple of errands before heading to my Mom's for lunch - bye for now!
-
It looks like Laurie Mitchell and I will be in NYC in April of 2012. That is all.
Hurray!
-
It looks like Laurie Mitchell and I will be in NYC in April of 2012. That is all.
That means I have a year to relocate. Or die.
-
Relocate
-
Coming soon: Jason Statham in FLAT RATE!
-
Or Jason Statham in Flat.
-
Page Three Flat Rate Dance!
-
My question for ASK BK day - do the Gardenia Shows have printed programs?
Nope, we don't do programs.
-
I was up at eight, thanks to a symphony of garbage trucks, lawnmowers, tree trimmers - that abruptly ended at eight-fifteen as if a conductor had cut them all off with a baton - it was really amusing. I fell back asleep and then the doorbell awakened me at ten - I forgot someone was coming to pick up the material for an upcoming release.
-
Garbage Trucks, Tree Trimmers, and Lawnmowers by Leonard Bernstein.
-
Good Afternoon!
My hairs are cut. I've lunched at one of my favorite in-supermarket Korean-Chinese restaurants. And now I'm heading down to Arena Stage for my first pre-production meeting for Oklahoma!. :)
Laters...

Garbage Trucks, Tree Trimmers, and Lawnmowers by Leonard Bernstein.
I thought that was by Elmer Bernstein?
-
Although, from the "instruments" involved, it would be more like something John Cage would have written.
-
One of the Bernstein boys - or maybe it was Frankenstein.
-
or Phillip Glass.
-
If you relocate, DR Elmore, please leave me a pillow and blanket on your fire escape.
-
I also have plans of being in Burbank, California this coming October. You have been warned.
-
No programs means all of the songs are surprises!
-
Hello, all.
Harsefethuhs!
-
Busy, busy, busy, busy, busy! Don't these folks know I'm sliding toward retirement?
-
Yes, I don't like people to know in advance what we're doing in these shows.
-
I'm on the Act Two Finale: 268 bars and I'm at m. 115. It's a long mother!
-
What's for lunch?
-
Just reading and watching about the eight year old boy the police pepper-sprayed because he was threatening them, his teachers, and his classmates. The comments on the roadrunner page are hilariously disgusting - what do you suppose the police should do when an eight year old is standing there with a large, sharp piece of wood saying "I'll kill you motherfu**ers," which is what he also said to his teachers. He has "emotional problems" this poor child and is in a special class for kids with emotional problems and this is the THIRD time the police have been called. I think they did exactly the right thing. Of course, the mother then exploits the situation by taking the child on ABC News - where, when the smarmy interviewer asks "did you mean it" the kid admits, "sort of." The mother, of course, is blameless, according to her, and her angelic child never NEVER has these problems at home. Yeah. Right. Sure. This will happen more and more because there is simply little parenting going on where children learn they CAN'T have everything they want, CAN'T do everything they want, aren't coddled and stroked and led to believe they are entitled to everything and I guess that includes wielding a sharp piece of wood at police officers and saying "I'll kill you motherfu**ers." But mommy coddles and blames the police and says it was unacceptable to pepper spray an eight year old, that they should have talked to the child. Yeah. Right. When the kid is wielding a potentially harmful sharp piece of wood and screaming and cursing like an out of control maniac, I don't think talk is the order of the day, do you? The pepper spray worked, was not injurious, and it stopped the little child from being insane, however momentarily, and allowed police to gain control of the situation without endangering themselves, the teachers, OR the child.

I haz spoken.

or Phillip Glass.
LOL!

I haz spoken.
Amen.

Good Afternoon!
My hairs are cut. I've lunched at one of my favorite in-supermarket Korean-Chinese restaurants. And now I'm heading down to Arena Stage for my first pre-production meeting for Oklahoma!. :)
Laters...
I love those in-store Korean restaurants, except I don't like all those solid silver platform shoes hanging over my food.

Ask BK: Speaking of "Solid Silver Platform Shoes," this is essentially the arrangement you used with Alice Ripley and Emily Skinner, isn't it?

DR Cillaliz - It turns out that today is the first day of rehearsal for A Time To Kill at Arena Stage. -If I run into Rupert later... ;)
Tell him hello!
-
DR Jose, I sent Rupert an email and told him if he happens to run into you, to say hello ;)
-
Totally insane day....time to get back to work
-
Hello, Rupert!
A new musical by Jerry Herman!
-
We'll take any new musical Jerry Herman has to offer.
-
I need a nap, but the bird is screaming too much for that to happen. (And I'm not even playing Ethel today.)
-
One more.

page four!

I know a kid like that. He has Asperger's.

It is raining. Not very much.

The New York Philharmonic's starry concert production of Stephen Sondheim and George Furth's Company, which will play Avery Fisher Hall April 7-9, will be filmed live, according to The New York Times.
The production, which co-stars Emmy winner Neil Patrick Harris as perennial bachelor Bobby and Tony and Olivier winner Patti LuPone as the cynical, boozy Joanne, will hit select movie theatres in June.
A spokesperson for the Philharmonic told Playbill.com, "The details of this are still being worked out, and it is in fact not confirmed yet."
??? It's not confirmed?

Whatever happened to Up with People?
-
Back from a lovely lunch at Lebanon, Ohio's Golden Lamb Inn with my mother and her Arizona friends. I also dropped in to see my aunt, which is more depressing each time I do so.
-
Evidently Mr. BK is not the least bit interested that I will be just blocks from Studio City in October. Or perhaps he is hurridly making plans to be out of town that whole month.
However, my one big desire (one of them, anyway) while I am in town is to see your collection of orignal paintings that were used for paperback book covers. Please to allow this and I will treat you to lunch.

Well, I'd like to say it can't be as bad as the John Doyle production, but this one is directed by the inept, maladroit Lonny Price who brought us the Philharmonic abortion of CAMELOT. Why they continue to hire him is a mystery.

I do believe it is.
-
270 bars - that sounds like a typical Larry Moore chart.
-
270 Bars - that's the title of my next novel.
-
MBarnum, of course you're welcome to peruse the paintings.
-
Back from sound check, picking up packages, and doing a mile and a half jog. Contextual commentary is printed and in the car and shortly I'll shave and shower and ready myself for dinner and this evening's show. I haven't had anything to eat today, so I'm ready for food.
-
Hello, everyone.
MEGA VIBES FOR THE GARDENIA SHOW TONIGHT!!
-
I believe that DR DAKOTA CELT's computer may have gotten some sort of virus--or some "clever" emailer has tapped her email address directory to send out ads. I received an email with her name on it earlier today, but it was really an ad for drugs by mail, including...can you guess?? Of course, it was Viagra.
-
270 bars - that sounds like a typical Larry Moore chart.
270 bars - Sounds like me before I quit drinking.

That is all.

Drive very carefully this evening, BK!

~~~Additional Break Leg Vibes for BK and the Gardenia Cast!!~~~
-
I've shaved and will shortly shower or shower shortly. The Singer, who attends all the Gardenia shows, will be here around six thirty-five. She lives in the Hills of Woodland so it's easier if we drive to the club together.
-
I know a kid like that. He has Asperger's.
Every time I see the word Asperger's; the first thing that comes to mind is Hollandaise sauce.
-
Page Five!
-
I sure wish they could have filmed all of these Gardenia shows.
-
I have now finished my entire bowl of tuna pasta salad.
Maybe it is time to make another one? Not.
-
I'm getting very very sleepy, but I want to catch the TOP CHEF reunion.
-
They are calling for possible snow showers this evening, Welcome to Spring!
-
Well, it's time for rehearsal. Tonight is an added rehearsal because tomorrow we're having three reviewers see the show...even though a couple of people will be gone tomorrow (and tonight, too). I don't think that they're actually going to "review" the show, as much as write about and announce the show. Hopefully, they'll like it.
Be back later.
-
I just finished reading this truly tragic story about a 42-year old, father of two, paramedic who was savagely beaten last weekend leaving a Dodgers vs. Giants game in L.A. His crime was that he wore his Giants' colors to Dodger Stadium. I hope they are able to track down these thugs.
Because he and Miss Patti Lupone have worked frequently together and maybe they hired him to get her.
-
And now to work. I don't know what I've done all day, but I haven't done enough work.
-
I just finished assembling a silent auction item for this weekend's Ohio AAUW convention. Here's the inventory list:
-
Great prize! I would bid on it.
-
G'night!
-
I hear thunder! I hope it rains!
Good Evening!
Today, I picked up my score for Oklahoma!
DR Cillaliz - By the time I got to Arena, Rupert was already on the way to the airport. -Maybe next time...
-
Good Evening!
Today, I picked up my score for Oklahoma!
:)
Does the wind still come sweeping down the plain?
-
Why could Rodgers and Hammerstein have written "Oklahoma!" in 1959 instead of "Sound of Music." I'd rather not write about a dancing Nazi boy, singing nuns and too many children.
-
Good Evening!
Today, I picked up my score for Oklahoma!
:)
Does the wind still come sweeping down the plain?
Well... It will starting June 21. Although, that may have to wait until it's tech'd the following week.
Well, I finally gave in and filed my federal taxes. I just don't want to think about any of that for another year or so, lol. We've been on a roll at work this week bringing in new cases. Hopefully this will continue and things will be fine. I have to mail in my state taxes because I have a $3 penalty for not paying my quarterlies on time....the goofy thing is, I get a refund. Whatever.
