Sounds like a fun NY trip-- wish I were there.Me too!
And the word of the day is: HYPOCORISTIC!
Continued rehearsal & performance vibes to MR BK & Co.
I personally devolved into helpless giggles last night during TAR's crying jags. Having never watched Big Brother, I'm "new" to this couple. Were they like this on that show? How could a doctoral candidate be paired with such a whining loser?

am very happy to have a couple of more options to try.

Is Brendon a doctoral candidate? On his two Big Brother appearances, he was the dumbest cluck in the house...each time. How he and Rachel matched up is beyond me. She's beyond screechy, needy, whiny and "entitled."
Brendon may be a different person on TV and with Rachel. Do you know what he's studying?
As for Rachel, I do not believe she was more "well liked" by the public. When it came to the final voting by the ousted competitors, Rachel was the lesser of two evils. BB has been resolved that way a number of times...very unpopular competitors winning it all. The worst of all time was Maggie during Season 6. The final choice was her or Yvette and they were both allies. Yvette's girlfriend and parents liked "the other side", not Yvette's side. Maggie's friends were mostly silent. It was BB's worst moment, IMO.
DR elmore I completely understand your concerns about a fire & wanting to stay home.
I believe he is getting his PhD in physics and has a couple of degrees as well....he is working on some kind of cancer research....Brendan from TAR.....

This has been a day of many small events:You got the vibes and I've got "I Won't Dance" going back and forth in my head. Could be worse.
1, the Overture for EILEEN is being perfomed on March 17 in a Dublin concert; the Dublin boys needed copies of the clarinet parts sent, so I got in touch with Curtis and he sent off the pdf files
2. The evacuation of Toyland has begun. I had to send inventory of the office to the California office and now they want photos. Hopefully, Curtis will take care of that.
3. The Man from Philadelphia and i have been passing info back and forth about a new office space
4. I'm trying to make a dent in the orchestration for "I Won't Dance"
Keep them vibes coming!
...nice little breaks are necessary...

Happy to find that Jose and some friends will be coming tonight. Continually baffled by the absence of elmore, but that's just me. I think everyone here knows how busy I get, but you know what - despite having written a 530 page manuscript in three weeks while also issuing two CDs, writing their liner notes, and doing a Kritzerland show, if I needed to have a meal with a friend I always found the hour to do so. I'd think an hour off to dine or see a singer would be a nice little break, because nice little breaks are necessary. Surprised Ben hasn't even responded to the invite for tonight. It's an early show (7) it's free, and it's fun. Well, at least we'll have Jose and company and dear reader Iris. I miss everyone else but apparently they don't miss me - and now, I shall go eat some worms.

If anyone would like to volunteer to post my photos, I'll email them to you. I'm hopeless when it comes to this stuff!

Kevin, you can e-mail them to me. I set up a HainesHisWay Photobucket account and it can be used for just such a purpose. :D
Fast healing vibes to DD Sherlock's paw. Poor guy.
And in other news, if you look on the Angies List Facebook page, you might see a post or two about about someone you know. ;)
DR Elmore, I am very glad that the fire didn't spread to the fire escape...otherwise I would be forced to rent a hotel room next NY trip. And you know how cheap I am.
Thank you, DR George! I hope I can copy it when I get it because I've had a couple people as to see it but I wouldn't want to loan out my only copy!
Am I crazy, or did there used to be spell-check on HHW (not that I usually remembered to use it....)
I don't want to bother you. One is fine but could I pay you to do two more?Thank you, DR George! I hope I can copy it when I get it because I've had a couple people as to see it but I wouldn't want to loan out my only copy!
How many copies do you want? I can do them very quickly and send them all to you.

I am ever so eager to get started on Season Two of THE WALKING DEAD (on AMC)...however, by the time I caught up with season one, the first few episodes of season 2 were no longer available on ON DEMAND...I didn't want to start season 2 without seeing the first couple of episodes.
Now, the ON DEMAND episodes for season two start at episode 12 or something like that.
And season 2 isn't releasing on DVD until the fall!!! I can't wait that long to see it...guess I will have to watch the first several episodes on youtube.
Still on page four?

DR Elmore--remember when I had that fire here at the house? It took months before I could settle down. I got up a dozen times in the night because I was SURE that I heard that horrible crackle noise.

I dislike both of the Rachels on THE AMAZING RACE. However, I do like Ralph...and I hope he and (the non-Big Brother) Rachel last long enough for there to be a shirtless competition of some sort. ;)
DR JMK, believe it or don't, but Brendon and Rachel did not know each other prior to being contestants on BIG BROTHER....they met on the show and fell in love. What Brendon sees in her, I do not know.
My favorite team on Amazing Race is the two Alabama guys.

Where?
Now every time i go to pick up my niece she pokes her head in the baby room as we are leaving. And if the baby is there she screams out, "look auntie it's your favorite baby!"
I am excited. I just got approved on netgalley for the new book (coming out in april) called Mr. Broadway The Inside Story of the Shuberts, the Shows, and the Stars by Hal Leonard Performing Arts Publishing Group!

Maybe search Angie's list on facebook.

It is so funny. The girl's name is Kensie. And my niece screams at the top of her lungs. Apparently even when i'm not there she tells my sister "that is auntie's favorite baby". The kid is so rolly and cute. Today one of the ladies was holding her. And when i looked in the baby just laughed and smiled.
...nice little breaks are necessary...
When we find ourselves frantically patching holes in the dikes surrounding our professiona/personal lives, we often view the luxury of "a nice little break" as an invitation to an unwelcome flood. You are most fortunate that you can keep all your juggling balls safely aloft while you take an hour out for dinner.

Thanks. He also has a yeast infection in his ear we discovered when he yelped this morning while scratching it. Tomorrow morning he has to have a crown put on his tooth. Six months ago we barely avoided root canal & thought we had avoided the crown. Hopefully everything else is fine & he won't need root canal.
I'm the same way. I had nothing good to say and I just couldn't bring myself to really talk about anything. I just wanted mindless TV and games....nice little breaks are necessary...

Well said der B. When I am stressed and busy, the only thing i want is to be alone to either relax or get things done. I have turned down invitations many times when I was stressed and busy and more than glad I did just that. It didn't mean I cared any less for my friends, just that I needed to unwind or work
Lovely photos. :)
I just put Angies list in the find on Facebook and it popped right up!
Twisted Sister front Man Dee Snider duets with Tony Award winners Patti LuPone, Bebe Neuwirth, Grammy winner Cyndi Lauper and more on his new album of show tunes "Dee Does Broadway," which will hit stores May 8.
Snider, who played an 11-week engagement as nightclub owner Dennis in the Broadway production of Rock of Ages in 2010, puts his own spin on classics for the 12-track disc of Broadway tunes. It will be released on the Razor & Tie label.
The track list for "Dee Does Broadway" follows:
"Cabaret"
"The Ballad Of Sweeney Todd"
"Big Spender" (with Cyndi Lauper)
"Mack the Knife"
"Whatever Lola Wants" (with Bebe Neuwirth)
"Music Of The Night" (with guest violinist Mark Wood)
"The Joint Is Jumpin'" (with Jesse Blaze Snider)
"Luck Be A Lady" (with Clay Aiken)
"I Get A Kick Out Of You"
"There Is Nothin' Like A Dame" (with Priscilla cast members Will Swenson, Tony Sheldon and Nick Adams)
"Razzle Dazzle"
"Tonight"/"Somewhere" (with Patti LuPone)
Bob Kulick and Brett Chassen produce the album that also features orchestrations by Doug Katsaros and Rudy Sarzo on bass guitar.
Snider's autobiography "Shut Up and Give Me The Mic" will also be released May 8 by Gallery Books.
Is Dee Snyder the guy currently on CELEBRITY APPRENTICE?

It would help a lot more if I got a "see you next visit and good luck" instad of this. BK.
