Well, you've read the notes, the notes were easy and were listening, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're currently listening to their favorite Easy Listening music by MOOntovani and MOOlanchrino.
-
And the word of the day is: RESILE!
-
In case Jennifer misses the last posts of yesterday, I think she inquired whether the new book was available as an eBook on Kobo - yes - $3.49.
-
A Very Happy Birthday to DR Ann (a.k.a. DR TCB's "daughter" AND DR Jed's Wife)!! ;D

I preferred more classical "easy listening" music like:
CONCERTOS UNDER THE STARS by THE HOLLYWOOD BOWL SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA CONDUCTED BY CARMEN DRAGON LEONARD PENNARIO PIANO
My formative years were Kate Smith on Radio, followed by Eartha Kitt (I want To Be Evil - 1953), and Liberace on TV.
The Movie Blackboard Jungle introduced Bill Haley and "Rock Around the Clock" - and the worl has never been the same.
When I graduated from High School, Band Stand was a Local Philadelphia show hosted by a lech named Bob Horn and Dick Clark was doing silverware commercials on the Midnight movie.
In college, Connie Francis was our musical sweetheart and Chubby Checker gave us the Twist.
Nine years after Bill Haley changed the world, those Moppets from England hit The Toast Of The Town - and the world changed again.
The first Broadway Show album I ever heard was the 6-disk boxed set of "Oklahoma" on 45 RPM.
I entered College to the tunes of My Fair Lady, in a one night layover in NYC in 58 I saw West Side Story, and graduated listening to "Sing Out, Louise!".
Graduate school started with Hello Dolly and ended with Mame.
By the time of Woodstock I had three kids - now that's what I call OLD!
der Brucer
The families first introduction to "HiFi" was when I saved my schekels from my first full time, post HS to buy the newest and bestest o - a Webcor multi-speed changer housed in the very latest blond mahogany cabinet. (the audio trade show in town was showing something brand new called "Bi-Naural Sound" - then available only in tape machines. I spent all my disposable income on LPs (mainly classical). I didn't realize the influence I was having on the family until my father asked me to "Play the brown one" (Ravel) or Play the one with the snow on the mountains (Grieg).
The local audio show was featuring the latest "Binaural Sound" - then available in a recorder by Pentax - stereo LPs were still two years away!
By first experience with Stereo when I bought a Webcor reel-to-reel stereo tape machine in my Sophomore year in college

Morning all! A very happy birthday to DR Ann! Not much to say today. Toby the Terrible goes to the vet at 11:00. I hope he is going to be a good boy.
Vibes to all who need them!

Goodbye, March!!!
-
I liked Mr Johnny Mathis....and I like BEST his entire LP - a collection of Broadway songs. I can't find the title anywhere, because it's not any of the ones listed....not Broadway Ballads or Broadway Rhythms......because it had If I Had My Druthers on it, and there is no track listing for an album with that song.....also You Are Beautiful and Small World....very nice Broadway stuff.
I liked all of the albums MR BK mentioned in his notes....but I also especially liked Mr Billy Vaughn's albums on DOT....especially the stereo stuff!!!
-
This is one of my favorite CD's:
One of his last albums "Look What They've Done to My Song" is also outstanding.

Mr Vaughn's version of a popular song around these here parts.

Off to work. Oh well.

great weekend to all
I plan to read this new memoir that arrived at my door yesterday
-
Good morning, all.
-
I'm apparently going from a foie gras cooking demonstration this morning to a haggis-eating competition in the afternoon. That's heaven to hell in a quick jump.

TOD: Percy Faith's "Do I Hear a Waltz?" which has been packed with "Subways Are for Sleeping" on CD

I don't have a kobo, I have a kindle. But yes it was me who mentioned the kobo (when you asked if kindle, nook, sony were the main ereaders where the ebook could be sold).

Happy Birthday to DR Ann. Hope she shows up today to let us know how she's been!

Happy birthday, DR Ann
-
Good morning, all! I stayed uyp to late last night - again! - and now I am dressed and ready to face today's fresh hell. At noon, I am meeting an old friend I've not seen in years for lunch before he sees PIPE DREAM. I think I will then go down to Toyland and putz around until 3:30. I'm taking BK's new memoir with me. I want to be back at City Center by 4:30 to see Rob Berman's parents, who are in from Baltimore this weekend. I missed seeing them when they were here for MERRILY, and I'm very fond of them. I've also got a few CDs to give to Peter Lawrence, the stage manager.
I hope that between today and tomorrow I get a deluge of completed work from my DEAREST ENEMY boys. I yhought we'd have this score cleaned up in six weeks and it's twelve weeks now!
DR DerBrucer, I laughed at your comment around the 101 Strings albums. I always suspected the correct title was more like "25 string" in a studio. I usedto seet hem for $0.98 in supermarkets, and occasionally my well-intentioned but often clueless mother would bring one of them home for me. Occasionally it was one like Tschaikovsky's Waltzes I liked but there was a lot of dreck. I preferred the low-budget Camden recordings of shows, like Hill Bowen conducts REDHEAD or THE MUSIC MAN, but I'd have preferred the more expensive cast albums, which we couldn't afford then.

A Very Happy Birthday to DR Ann (a.k.a. DR TCB's "daughter" AND DR Jed's Wife)!! ;D

TOD:
My favorite Johnny Mathis number?
Read this short excerpt from my memoir, and you will see:
Paul [Francis Webster] and Jerry Livingston had been hired by Marty Melcher to write a
tune for Julie, a suspense drama that Doris Day was making at MGM in
1956.
“Her co-star, Louis Jourdan, convinced her that the song was all
wrong for her,” Webster recalled. “It didn’t fit her image.
“And, I was the one who suggested that Frenchman for the part.”
Rights to the song reverted back to the songwriters. They placed it
with a New York music publisher, who sent it on to Johnny Mathis. The
singer recorded the number, and it became a smash. Years later, it hit
again as a Country/Western entry, sung by Slim Whitman and, years
after that, my wife (#3) Sandy and I danced to it at our wedding.
Its title: “The Twelfth of Never.”
-
Saturday morning greetings! We are expecting a visit from our DD-i-L Mary Linda today. Paramedic Rob has to work and she will be shopping nearby with friends.
-
Just in from some overdue gardening. I need to get two cucumber plants I bought into the ground, but I forgot to pick up the manure and sandy soil mixture, so it's off to Lowe's sometime after haggis. maybe the plants will be planted tomorrow.
-
Well, BK is well aware I adore Percy Faith and have everything he ever did. Percy remains one of the few Easy Listening artists whose entire oeuvre is out on CD. I am next to positive he orchestrated Johnny's Twelfth of Never, he did most of the late 50s Mathis albums and received billing with Mathis on a couple of them, like Merry Christmas and Warm. (Interestingly, he probably would have arranged it for Day, too, had she done it, as she was also on Columbia).
I think Robert Farnon is another exquisite arranger, another one who, like Percy, would invent all sorts of beautiful interior lines and tie them all up in neat little musical bows.
BK, there are a LOT of Dutton Vocalion 2fers by a number of fantastic people available, including (umm.....) Edmundo Ros and Mantovani. They all feature great mastering. I have a bunch of Stanley Black 2fers which are fantastic.
-
TOD - Percy Faith Broadway Bouquet, which I still have on LP, along with Henry Mancini's Six Hours Past Sunset and A Warm Shade of Ivory. And I suppose a lot of the Cincinnati Pops could be considered easy listening - Rodgers & Hammerstein Songbook for Orchestra and their Andrew Lloyd Weber albums come to mind.
-
Percy's Bouquet series (there are three I can think of right off the top of my head, but there might be a couple more) featured his string section, without brass or winds (at least for the most part).
-
Good morning! The TOD led me to youtube, where I clicked on "Theme from A Summer Place," always a favorite. And somehow that led to videos by the group The Seekers (Georgy Girl, A World of Our Own), which I watched for about 20 minutes. There's a clip from 2010--the female singer, Judith Durham, sounded almost the same as in the 60's--just great!
-
Oh, yeah. I didn't come in to that money, after all.
Does anyone know if I win anything with two matching numbers?
-
Fingers crossed for Mr & Mrs Druxy or.....
NO MORE ACCIDENT VIBES!
-
For anyone who hasn't heard it, Percy's score for THE OSCAR is awesome.
-
And for anyone who hasn't gotten it yet, THE PEOPLE IN THE PICTURE is mah-velous. Touching and frequently laugh out loud hilarious. The lyrics are exceptional.
-
"He didn't have any talent, so we made him the director." ;)

Loved it!

TOD-- I love Easy Listening (and never liked the name for that category of music--even as a kid). One of my favorites was part of some Readers Digest 10 LP set. It had "Lazy Afternoon, " "September in the Rain" and "More than You Know" on it. I have a copy in the garage and must find it one of these days. My, those arrangemnts were lush and dreamy.
Another fave - which was re-released on CD, is a Bobby Hackett CD that has "Stairway to the Stars" on it. Bobby Hackett had some sort of contract dispute (with Capitol I think), and he was not allowed to record an album with another orchestra or band for awhile. They figured a solo trumpet album (or one with just another soloist) would never work. So Bobby Hackett hired Buddy Cole to play the theatre organ. They got the entire orchestra sound (with only one instrument) and Buddy's trumpet swimming around in an empty theatre. It's a great album.
-
Betsy was recounting her visit to the Holocaust Museum in Washington D.C. and was talking about how they had the graphic video hidden behind knee walls so that those with kids or who didn't want to see it didn't have to. Zach, ever the innovative thinker, asked, "What do midgets do?" Grandpa and Grandma were not amused. ;)

Great story. I think the song was meant to wait for Johnny to sing it.

In the '60s and '70s I only listened to easy listening music. I had various Frank Chacksfield, Stanley Black, Johnny Keating, Werner Muller albums and I loved those Decca (London) Phase 4 LPs - "The Sizzling Twenties" by Eric Rogers, which I still have, is a great fun listen.

After arriving back home I found that my splendid clematis which has been climbing over the garden fence trellis for years and used to look wonderful in the spring when in flower, has suddenly died. It had completely dried up in the space of a few days. I should have taken more care to keep it watered - we've had hardly any rain here for a couple of months.

So,Sunset Blvd was interesting to say the least. Norma sung the heck out of the score, so that was good. The ensemble was great, lots of variety of people, shapes, sizes, voices. The set design was good, some great projections, some not-so-great projections, but they seem to work well. Max, Betty and Joe were horrid to say the least. Max more than the others. Then there was the over all direction... bad character choices, blocking, bits, etc - I threw up my hands several times saying "what the HECK was THAT?". I know I'm being critical, and I'm not saying my direction was stellar either - oh and he was also the choreogrpaher... and it looked like a middle school production. Did I mention that the set was good? And Norma was awesome? Now that Sunset Blvd is out there to be produced by almost anyone, you'll have to remind me NOT to go to another local production.

Sometimes things "gang aft agley" and I did not get to Toyland after my wonderful lunch. After a walk to the 6th Avenue subway at 56th Street to find there was no downtown service - the MTA goes out of their way to screw up weekend plans - I had to determine how to proceed. There was a No 7 bus going uptown pulling in to the bus stop so I grabbed it and I am home. Tomorrow I will make the trek to Toyland.
I can putz around here until 3:45 or so, then catch a bus back to City Center to see Rob and his parents.

I'm up after ten hours of sleep. I guess I needed it, and it was easy since it's very gray out and that always helps me to sleep. But a jog is out now, and I'll have to go to Mystery and Imagination in about thirty minutes.

In the unbelievable department: I was preparing to get in the shower when the doorbell rang. I thought perhaps it was FedEx delivery I needed to sign for, so I pulled on some shorts and a t-shirt, but I still had my Plaque rinse in my mouth, since I expected just to sign and then close the door. Who should be there but two elderly Jehovah's Witness women thrusting Jesus pamphlets at me. I pointed to my mouth and swished the liquid around so they knew my mouth was full, vigorously shook my head no, waved my hands "no" and pointed to our mezuzah, at which point one of the women PUSHED PAST ME and tried to enter my home. I was gobsmacked. I put up my hands and REALLY vigorously motioned for her to back up and attempted to close my door. She stayed in the doorway and her long coat got stuck in the door opening between the jamb. At which point the other woman started wagging her finger at me and exclaiming "Oh my goodness, oh my goodness" as if I were doing something wrong.
Long story short: police were called, I don't think those particular Jehovah's Witnesses will be returning here anytime soon. Aside from the charges I could press for unlawful entry, Lake Oswego also has a very aggressive anti-solicitation law that they were in violation of.

We have frosted glass windows on either side of the door, so I can see who's there, albeit in a sort of diffuse, slightly distorted way. So I knew it was two women, I just didn't realize it was two zealots LOL.

No selling books today - the signing is booked, though - three weeks from tomorrow - April 22, the first time we'll do one on a Sunday, which they say is much better for them these days. I took them ten copies of the book so they can display it and such.

I still have eBooks to read from the library, with a few more expected any day, that must be read before your book. I couldn't completely wait & took a peek this morning & read your very nice dedication.

Loving the book!! (have I said that already?) My main frustration is that when I went the digital route and began to store all my CD's on a hard drive as CD's took up a lot of space - when you have as many as I (and many others here) do, I just uploaded the cast albums and not solo albums. So, the solo albums in question in the book are in storage and the time it would take to upload them would take FOREVER. If I won that damn lottery, I'd have the time!!

Matthew, no more local productions of Sunset Blvd. Imagine if the direction had been good but the Norma had been bad. That would have been a nightmare.

Thankfully, I missed the haggis eating competition. Instead, I went to an Asian market and found roasted pork belly on sale. I'm very, very happy.

I also bought some plants and put them in. Six zucchini, an oregano, a plumbago, purslaine. And it hit 90 today. Summer is here.

I don't think so--I just saw the policeman go down and stop them in the street and talk to them for a while, after which they scurried rather quickly to their car and departed. I stood in my driveway and glared at them as they passed. ;D

I don't think so--I just saw the policeman go down and stop them in the street and talk to them for a while, after which they scurried rather quickly to their car and departed. I stood in my driveway and glared at them as they passed. ;D
:D
-
It suddenly became very loud outside. It is hailing rather hard out there.
-
Hope everything is OK, Jane. The hail storms have been nasty here this year.
-
Interesting it went from pouring rain to hard hail & now the sky is clear.
-
DR John G I just saw your post. Thanks, we were nice and comfy inside. :)

Here is a wonderful interview with Tom Jones that mentions the College Collage recording. It also includes two simple, direct and beautiful new lyrics he's written for his Harold and Maude musical.

When I was growing up. My mom would tell us all to hide and be quiet until they left the door. She didn't even answer the door, we just hid.

Today I went to the community gathering to support BPI and their Lean textured beef, which ABC calls pink slime. I was told by a sheriff that they planned to make 16,000 burgers, but I heard they made over 30,000. It was really crowded. I am now the proud owner of a shirt that says "DUDE IT'S BEEF!" lol. We've been eating this stuff for 20 years. The process kills e coli, not really sure how anyone could be against that.
-
It was 90 degrees here today....way too hot for me. I hate this weather
-
I bought some spray for my apple tree, but it started blooming, so now I have to wait until the flowers fall off. We aren't supposed to have anything blooming yet. It's just bizarre
-
Well, at least I got us to page 4......dude, it's beef
-
I have no idea who made up that stupid slogan, but dude, it's beef

Here's the story of the rally and what the ABC news story has done to the company
-
Thankfully, I missed the haggis eating competition...
LOL - words to live by!
-
I do think it's really sad that one reporter can do so much to damage a company when in the 20 years they've been making this product, no one has gotten sick from it.

Gotta cheer for Kansas. I spent two years there

Where is everyone today? Was there a lottery pool I didn't know about?

Gotta cheer for Kansas. I spent two years there
Gotta stay loyal to the Big Ten and the state I live in - Go, Bucks (something I don't say often...)!

I am super happy my library got like 20 new dvds. And now we are allowed to reserve them. Some i really wanted to see. And some look interesting (have big stars but i was not familiar with them). Has anyone seen any of these?:
Breaking Dawn
Tower Heist
Reel Steel
Drive
Abduction
Courageous
Hugo
Pusss N Boots
Source Code
J Edgar
Limitless
Something borrowed
I do not know how she does it
The Ides of March
Friends with Benefits
Green Latern
Contagion
Hugo
Source Code
Tower Heist
Real Steel
Drive
Green Lantern
Contagion
How were they? Do any of them seem like my cup of tea?
I'm sorry, I did not mean to include Contagion a movie I want to see, not have seen.
I think HUGO is the best of them & wish I had seen it in 3D on the large screen. We gave it 4 stars on NetFlix.
IDES OF MARCH in my opinion is the least enjoyable of the movies on your list that I've seen. Craig decided not to watch it after hearing our comments the following morning. If you like political movies & are a Ryan Gosling fan than don't listen to me.
The following movies we gave 3 stars out of 5 on NetFlix:
I liked REAL STEEL & think you would. It has the feel of a YA story. The violence is basically between robots.
Keith liked DRIVE more than I did. I can't guess if you would like this one or not.
TOWER HEIST was ok & the actors did a fine job, sadly except for Eddy Murphy who couldn't do too much with his silly script. It is not really a comedy, IMHO, or a fast action or fast paced movie. It's a heist movie. We liked Ben Stiller in this so if you like him than watch it.
The GREEN LANTERN might be a weak super hero flick, however, if you like this kind of movie I suggest you watch it.
SOURCE CODE was a little disappointing to us all after they hype about it. You might like it though, just don't expect it to be fantastic.
Did that help? Hey, the movies are free for you. ;)

Evening all. Toby the Terrible did ok at his vet visit. He didn't bite anyone but he was very scared and cried the whole time he was in the lobby.
Thank goodness that's over for another year.
-
Poor Toby.
-
We spoke to Bryan this afternoon. He has been very busy with his Internal Medicine rotation, mostly doing paperwork. ;D
While I'm very pleased he was matched to such a fine program I wish he had been matched in Portland instead. Then I would try to convince Craig to move to Eugene & we could all live in the same state again. We haven't done that since we left Michigan.
-
I bought 2 of your books, Bruce on Amazon for my ereader on my Itouch. Looking forward to reading them. I bought "There's Mel, etc" and the new one "Album produced by"
-
Poor Toby.
Thanks, DR Jane. He has slept the entire rest of the day in my bed. I've even gone into check on him to make sure he wasn't having a reaction to the shots. He's been ok. Just traumatized.
-
I'm glad he is physically ok.

Sorry but I had to laugh when I read this because it reminded me of what happened to another friend of mine. She was really into doing costumes for the scifi conventions. Well, it happened that she was working on one that like a warlock for one of her kids and had a knock of the door by some JW's. What did she do? She saw them through the door and pulled on the cape and grabbed the walking stick she had made with a crystal ball type thing on the top of it. She opened the door and they couldn't get away fast enough! I think they thought they had come to Satin's door!
She said she had a really good laugh.
My method is to tell who ever comes to door that I am the opposite of what ever they are. If its a Baptist, I'm a devoted Catholic. If they are Catholic, I'm Baptist, etc. Don't argue with them just agree and send them on their merry little way. That is if I even answer the door.
-
Funny story from your friend DR Danise.
-
'night
-
I'm glad he is physically ok.
He's in very good health. A touch overweight but very full pep and vigor. I just felt bad because I had to go to the pound to get his tag (my vet never has them) and they were having an adopt-a-thon. Of course I saw several little dogs that would have gladly taken home with me. I just hope they all got good homes.
I felt bad about turning them away but like I told them, I would rather have 2 and be able to take good care of them with all of the shots /meds/food/toys/goodies/etc they need then to many and not be able to properly care for them.
-
I'm going too. 'night.
-
sorry to have been E & T its was a busy week ---
-
this weekend is our annual ICON convention that Vixdad & I have been attending for 26 years (this is the 31st annual convention)
-
monday through wednesday i worked late
-
thursday vixter and i went to the high school musical as several of her friends were in it so ihad to leave work on time
-
i had planned to be off on friday because of the convention but of course on thursday i got all sorts of panicky calls about closings that had to happen on friday
-
thursday vixter and i went to the high school musical as several of her friends were in it so ihad to leave work on time
What show did they do?
-
i agreed to schedule but advised that all info had to be to me early so i could get everything done before i needed to leave at 5:30 --I was prmiseed that I would have everything by 2PM --- of course 5 pm came and went and stioll I did not have what I needed
fiNALLY At 5:25 the info arrived far toolate for me to get anyting donr and since I was going to be out and we already had a fullslate I couldn't leave it for my colleague to handle
-
The comments about poor Toby made me think how much like people cats can be. Some just hate anything different. Others are just fond of affection from anyone. There was a chocolate brown/black cat at the gardening center today who let anybody pet her. She felt like silk and I wish I could have brought her home with me. She does belong to the owners, so I'm sure they wouldn't have liked that. Neither would the bird. ;)
-
One more.
-
Page five!
-
and I HAD to leave if I was to take Vixter (and my folks) to the musical which started at 7 - so I left at 6 with a couple of hours of work undone - flew home and collected everyone to see the show
-
LEGALLY BLONDE
-
the kids did a really good job with it
-
Signing off now to watch what looks like Ohio State handing tonight's basketball game to Kansas. Early wake-up call tomorrow - see you when we get back from Lima!
-
however as is always the case with this school district they seem to think its all about the orchestra
-
it is bad enough we have no pit and the orchestra is right i n front of the stage but they play so dang LOUD
-
I may not be a professional but for heaven sakes what is the point of drowning out the lyrics?
-
the sound guy was cranking up the actores mikes and it seemed like everytime he did the orchestra started playing louder
-
oh and some guy in the audience had a seizure or something and had to be carried out to an ambulance
-
any way we still had a good time
-
and then I brought everyone home and went to bed
-
and woke up at 3;15 AM and thought about the undone work
-
and that the Vixter ha dto be at xcollege at 9 AM
-
and I had a 9:30 doctors appointment
-
and the undone work
-
and tha I really really neede the sleep
-
and I laid there and thought
-
and tried tpo lseep
-
and finally at 4:15 I stopped lying there and got up and went to work
-
and got everything done
-
and left at 8 AM
-
then I drove the Vixter to college - picked up egg sandwiches to Vixdad and myself stopped home and ate and then ran to the dr
-
however as is always the case with this school district they seem to think its all about the orchestra
LOL. Sounds like a few high school productions I've seen.
-
I had a little something on my back that Vixdad didn't like the looks of - the skin doctor thought it was "probably nothing to worry about" but considering my recent history, he decided to err on the side of caution so now a little piece of me resides in a biospy lab awaiting comment
-
then filled the van with gas - had it washed and went to collect the Vixter from college and then we all got ready for the CON
-
and then the mail was delivered
-
YES!!!!!!! My new book AND a sparkling prize!!!
-
Well not My new book - my new copy of BK;s new book!
-
and I had to leave -- and I was driving so the book stayed behind
-
BY time we got home after 11 PM I was exhausted - having had virtually no sleep the night before so i was out like a light
-
then it was up early and off to collect a couple of the Vixter's friedns who were also ICON bound and off to another full day
-
We got home a short while ago and i sat myself down and started reading - I am up to page 96
-
I love it so far!!
-
I also seem to have done something to my ankle
-
Whew! Vixmom, it wears me out just to read your posts!
-
VIBES FOR VIXMOM'S ANKLE

Vibes for the biopsy results, Vixmom.

Watching "Vanya on 42nd Street" tonight. I've been meaning to watch this for awhile and just haven't seen it since it came out at the theater. I don't think Julianne Moore has ever been more radiant. Larry Pine and Wally Shawn are impeccable, and Brooke Smith breaks my heart, but it's George Gaynes, so self-centered and sanctimonious, that impresses me most this time. Just a great version of Chekov.
-
the ICON is held at a university and we need to do a great deal of walking so I do not know if it is just the fact that I spend far too much time sitting at my desk these days and far too little in any physical activity but I have a terrible pain in the front of my left ankle - Vixdad has me icing it right now - since I hate cold on my skin this is possibly more miserable than the pain in the ankle
-
and now I hope to have posted enough to avoid being slapped by BK and will try and ketchup a little
-
I'm reading The Immigrants by Howard Fast and really enjoying it
-
I started it before BKs book arrived. So when I'm done I'll read BKs book
-
Skin vibes to Vixmom~~~~~

Night, all.

you should have answered the door in your towel!! That would have stopped her!
We tend to hide in the house if we see the JW's coming - but I will chat with them if they come by when I am out gardening in the summers months - as long as they stay outside and make it clear that we are very comfortable with our church and faith and have no wish to be converted -

Rehearsal was really fun - a really feel-good show - we just had a few things to futz with and adjust. However, one of our singers has not done their homework and couldn't remember more than a few words of the first song they sing. It was embarrassing for everyone and the singer - I just don't understand people - this singer has seen two of our shows and knows what I expect. Learning songs can't be put off to the day before and we don't do these shows off-the-cuff - all the other singers knew their stuff and even if they flubbed they covered and went on. I'm hoping the singer got the point and is spending all of tonight and all of tomorrow until the song is in the singer's bones. I'm told this singer does this sort of thing - brings the music up and sings from a lyric sheet or paper - not in our show. If I'm not happy at tomorrow's sound check, out the number goes, which would be a real shame since it's an interesting song and needs to be where it comes in the show. We shall see.

Whew! Vixmom, it wears me out just to read your posts!
YOU should talk!! Everytime I turn around you've stripped out wallpaper, repainted - re-tiled - or built a new wing on the house singlehandedly!! and that on top of maintaining a law practice , being active in politic and local scoail aagewndas and playing ina band - If only you lived in Florida DR Danise's problems would have been solved long ago!
-
I feel that everyone who's reading other books should immediately put them aside and read MINE :)

Had a wonderful dinner in the Bank of Bur and am watching a motion picture on Blu and Ray.

Listening to an upcoming Kritzerland project - unbelievably fun - it's a 1950s genre film from a major studio whose score is completely tracked from other films. So, we've got a soundtrack to a movie scored by Victor Young, Hugo Friedhofer, Franz Waxman, Aaron Copland, Walter Scharf, Leith Stevens and others.

So the NCAA final game is UK v KU a palendromic championship. How cool is that?
