I had a dream just before I woke up in which my sister in law reluctantly slapped her dog for doing something wrong and the dog turned into a monkey and then another monkey began comforting the one which was slapped. Make what you want out of that!I was going to make some comment about spanking a monkey, but I thought better of it. ;D
And may your week be anything but blue!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Good Week Vibes to everyone! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

And the word of the day is: PROROGUE!
DR CHAS SMITH - I think Merman was a week long guest hostess on the Mike Douglas rather than the Merv Griffin show, but I could be wrong.....I have been before, many times.
I read spoilers a couple weeks ago. I was very happy to watch Lisa Lampinelli go home and will be happy when the next one goes home too. I don't really think the final two are the strongest players, but it will be fun to watch them do the final challenge
DR Ginny, what did you think of the HUNGER GAMES?
You Can't Make This Stuff Up Department: in this morning's Oregonian, an AP story tells of the lawsuit filed by some survivors of a capsizing of a small boat who are suing a cruise line for not stopping to help them. They were stranded in the ocean for weeks and two of them died. The man who ultimately found them? A Portland man named (wait for it) Gilligan.

Thank you! As I typed that, I had the nagging feeling that it might have been another show, but my brain came up with Merv Griffin's name and decided to take the rest of the night off. Mike Douglas sounds EXACTLY right.
I remember week long gigs with Mike Douglas for Lucille Ball, Phyllis Diller, and Tony Bennett. Some were better than others....DR CHAS SMITH - I think Merman was a week long guest hostess on the Mike Douglas rather than the Merv Griffin show, but I could be wrong.....I have been before, many times.

DR Ginny, what did you think of the HUNGER GAMES?
DR Jennifer, I think the premise is pretty sick and I was depressed throughout my reading. Both of my book groups are reading it for May, so we'll see if my friends can enlighten me this Thursday or on the 30th.

I'm guessing you did not see the movie?
I just loved the Hunger Games. I am a huge fan of dystopia. So the premise didn't really freak me out or surprise me. But I could see how it could be upsetting/depressing if you are new to the genre.
Saying goodbye is so damn hard. :'(

Some of our sister in law's sisters were here and they were recounting odd and disturbing tidbits of their mother's family's history, which led me to state that I was suddenly feeling like my family wasn't that dysfunctional after all. :)
In happier news, we had a huge family gathering yesterday and the house again proved that it can handle large swarms of people quite easily. The weather was about as perfect as you could have hoped for. It's actually going to be hot here today (90).

Just a rehearsal for the two weddings that will be happening someday.
Mine, too.Saying goodbye is so damn hard. :'(
Sending you my strongest sympathy vibes.......

Vibes to Jane and Keith.
I have a program from Miss Carroll Baker's GENTLEMEN PREFER BLONDES that she did in LA....she also did the show here in Indy....I can't imagine that her type of METHOD acting would be advantageous to the comedy of Lorelei Lee....

Those had better be on the brides' families' dime. I already paid for two stinkin' Bar Mitzvahs. ;)
Office vibes for DR ELMORE.
My thoughts are with Jane & Keith today.

Last night DR CILLALIZ wrote this re: LAST NIGHT's CELEBRITY APPRENTICEQuoteI read spoilers a couple weeks ago. I was happy with one of the finalists. Have really enjoyed Clay this season. I do not at all think that Arsenio should be in the finals. I just don't get it at all. I understand if Trump does not want Aubrey to be his apprentice. But to say she is simply too young ... that was not a reason to me to get rid of her. She was so much stronger than Arsenio. And to fire Lisa because she cried in the boardroom? If he wanted to fire her because she yelled at Dayana that would have been acceptable to me. But to me the 2 women were the strongest players this season. I really hope that Clay wins. And to pick Aubrey last? And to pick Adam first?
I've been there, too. Too many times.
(((((Jane)))))
Tonight is the SMASH season finale - and the GOSSIP GIRL season finale - and several other season finales.....it must be May.
I'm looking forward to SMASH tonight.
Neither Aubrey nor Lisa have the right temperment to be the apprentice. I think that's the real reason they are gone. I like Arsenio's style. Sometimes the best leader is the one who delegates to the people who can do the best job and doesn't micro-manage what they are doing. I think that's more his style. I like Clay, but he's a little too wound up for me.

My mom thought that dancing with the stars was over. She even put away her folder with all her notes and stats and scores since DWS began. I had to convince her it was the final 4. She started to believe me when she had no idea who won, but since she forgets a lot these days, she said she just thought she forgot.
I have no idea in hell how this office megillah is going to end, but I am sure sick of the stress! It continues, and I am so hoping it doesn't end badly. Some fresh Hell, no doubt.
What's next?
I've been there, too. Too many times.

I'm sure with all your multiple pets at one time, just like us. Sherlock is the first only fur child we have ever had.
DR Jane, reading that you said goodby today brought tears to my eyes. I am so sorry. My deepest sympathy to you both
I just read about Dear Dog Sherlock on Facebook. I can't even think of any words to express my feelings. I'm just so very sorry for your loss.
Here is something that hopefully will make DR Jane smile.
Jadie's 3rd birthday is on Thursday (but she doesn't really understand the concept of time).
So she wakes up today and says to my sister, "Happy Mother's Day!". My sister tells her that it isn't Mother's Day (that was yesterday).
So my niece says all happy, "does that mean I'm three then?" :)
Elmore, I do hope your office problems get worked out for the best.
Also, I got new glasses. I like them.Sometimes new glasses give me a migrain. Vibes you are better tomorrow.
Sorry to hear the Jane news, too.
