Well, you've read the notes, the notes were like a big bowl of soup, and now it is time for you to post until the soupy cows come home.

And the word of the day is: LARRUP!
-
From yesterday:
On Long Island we have "The Big Duck"
So, which came first...the duck or the World's Largest Egg? :D

Morning all.
That is all.

Here are a few more pictures from May 23rd. Click on them to make them a bit larger.
We are signing the license with our witness
-
Here is our City Clerk officiant performing the ceremony
-
This is after the ceremony with our witness, Alfred
-
Here is the cake (with our friends Frog and Toad) before it was cut
-
This is the first slice so you can see what it looked like inside, yummy chocolate cake with cream filling!
-
Anthony had our neighbor put this sign on our door so that when we returned to the apartment we had a greeting.
-
And finally, here is a shot of everyone who was at the ceremony.
We have Anthony, me, Anthony's parents (next to me), one of Anthony's cousins (in red/maroon), his uncle, our witness (next to Anthony), my friend from college of 35 years and another of Anthony's cousins.

Great photos. Thanks for including us on your celebration

Good morning, all! I am listening to KNICKERBOCKER HOLIDAY and smiling broadyl; what a great score! And Barbara is the real name of the dread 3D Diffusion? The things one learns.
DR Ben, great photos! I wish I'd been there.
Last night was another strange evening of dreams: the one that woke me at 1:30 was terrifying, and I had to tunr on the lights: it had to do with a corpse coming back to bury me alive for doing the same to him. God knows where that came from; I usually inflict psychological violence over physical and have never, to my knowledge, ever buried anyone alive. My last dream had to do with contemplating pushing a drug addict to their death or helping them down and I chose the latter option; my friend Karen was in this dream as well.
So, i am off to Toyland to tape orchestra parts, print masters for the piano-conductor score, and deliver a carton of toner for the printer. I will check in from there.
DR JRand61, did you see my friend Dominic's comment about the Rex Harrison story?
-
Today is going to be fun!
I swallow a camera so the doctor can look at my upper colon and hopefully find something to explain my problems I have been having for he last year and a half.
-
Good luck w/the medical procedure Michael!
Larry, wow, you're in Dreamland but not the good kind. At least you're able to wake up.
-
Glad you like the pictures.
My friend from college did run the camera so we have a DVD of the occasion.
-
Good like to DR Mike! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
-
Prayers for you and vibes to you, Mike. I hope the test gives them a reason for your problems so you can get treatment.
-
Thanks for the photos, Ben.
-
Good morning, all.
Great pictures, DR Ben, and vibes to DR Mike's upper colonic regions.
Me, I woke up to: NO WATER. Plumber has been called. I think the problem is the water pump, which doesn't seem to be doing anything or responding to its switch or its circuit breaker being turned off and on. Won't know for a couple of hours, but I have horrible visions of great big dollar bills flying about...in the wrong direction.

Anyone interested in Sharon Farrell? This was in todays Sioux City Journal

MEDICAL VIBES TO DR MIKE~~~~
-
This is week three of jack-hammers on the street below my office window. I could not live somewhere where there is construction all the time
-
Here are George's instructions from 2004. They might be a bit easier to follow
Type WITH NO SPACES WHATSOVER:
an open bracket [
then "url=" without the quotes
then the actual URL
then close the bracket ]
then type what you want to show, in this case "CLICK HERE" and you can have all the spaces you want at this point
then another open bracket [
then "/url" (again without the quotes)
then a close bracket ]
I added spaces here so that it won't work and you can see the construction:
[url = http : // www. the-url-goes-here. com]Type what you want to show[ / url]
And what I usually like to do is make it bold so it stands out, or you can make it bold and change the color
And all this has to be done in the Reply box, not the Quote Box.
Thanks, George!
-
Luckily "Ruggles of Red Gap" was finally issued on DVD (non Blu Ray for us regular non-Blu-Ray-type folks). I had seen the movie years ago and had waited to see the "Pretty Baby" scene again. After 20 years of waiting, the scene did not disappoint!

Today is going to be fun!

Greetings from Toyland! I have installed the new toner cartridge and printed the Trombone part that Joshie forgot. All is good so far down here. Now, to the taping.

More lovely pictures from DR BEN!!! The cake looks so good!!!
-
Yes, I did read his comment DR ELMORE.....so who knows....there is no type of authentication in the other book.....so....
The dreams posted by DR ELMORE today and DR JMK yesterday blew a fuse in the Dream-O-Matic, so there will be no interpretations until it is replaced....if they still manufacture them.
Oh....also loved the photo from DR JOHN G.
-
Vibes for DR MIKE.
-
Last night I watched THREE motion picture entertainments.
COSMETICS SALES COMPETITION a Japanese movie from Japan. Unfortunately the DVD froze at the very end, but I can assume that the leading lady became the leading man's wife and not his mistress, that Swan Cosmetics and Saduko Cosmetics merged and that the other couples also merged.
I then watched THE GOLDEN IDOL starring Bomba the Jungle Boy.....
AND The Scavengers - a 1958 movie made in Hong Kong and the Phillipines by director John Cromwell and starring Vince Edwards and Carol Ohmart.
All three courtesy DR MBARNUM.....and all of more than passing interest.
-
DR CILLA LIZ - that's a sad interview from a deluded "star."
-
TOD:
The Awful Truth - although that might be 1940.
-
Darn, the COSMETIC SALES COMPETITION froze at the end for me also, but the seller sent me a duplicate which I thought worked fine. Maybe I made a copy of the wrong one :P
Well, I am certain that it all ends happily...I still haven't seen anything past the freezing point, myself.
THE SCAVENGERS was kind of interesting, sort of. At least it was fun to see Vince Edwards and Carol Ohmart. I like them both, as actors.
And of course THE GOLDEN IDOL features my interviewee Anne Kimbell, best friend of Sally Fraser, who will be spending another summer at her theater in Colorado. I believe both she and Sally will be getting together there in a month or so to show a couple of their movies to raise money for the charity.
-
Nice photos from DR Ben.
-
That would be a fun event with Anne & Sally!!!
-
Oh DR GEORGE.....the score for CLUE: THE MUSICAL might generously be called average.
-
The novelty is the big seller.....and it is a lot of fun....with some audience participation....since they get to play along.....

TOD:
The Awful Truth - although that might be 1940.
If we're going into the 1940s, then TO BE OR NOT TO BE is at the top of my list.

Thursday morning greetings! Today there's nothing on my calendar, so I'll putter and get back to the Y. Haven't been since Monday and last night I finally bought a new pair of athletic shoes, so I'm looking forward to trying them out.

Medical diagnosis vibes to DR Mike!

DR Ben, thank you so much for sharing the wedding photos!

DR ELMORE here's a pic of the dressing room at PCPH, so you know what I mean about that pic of Dominic a couple of days ago.
It seems Dressing Room decor is about the same everywhere. ;D
-
Of course that is the men's dressing room - there is a Dressing Room Inequality scrap going on on Facebook since the ladies decided to fix their room up a bit.... ;D

More great photos from Ben and Ant!

From DR Vixmom:
I am very jealous that BK and Jane knew him personally ---
I doubt he remembered me from meeting to meeting. :)
You didn't say if you hurt yourself from the hot coffee spill-hope not.

I'm up, and have learned that we now have only two slots to fill for the Kritzerland show - Kim Huber has joined us.

Ahh...thanks for the info.
A question: do you think that it could be done with a lot of blood...I mean a LOT of blood and gore? Real campy and over the top??
Because that's what Theater Artists Olympia (http://www.olytheater.com/) is known for.
;)

DR JRand61, thanks for the photos. The PCPH dressinhg rooms look just like my friend Dominic's officeat the Umiversity in Sheffield, England.
I am home, the check arrived, all is good.
I have bills to pay. Not so good.

DR GEORGE.....no I don't think blood would work with CLUE:THE MUSICAL.....there is no real onstage mayhem.....although I suppose it could be done that way.

Samuel French suggested that the audience be given sheets of paper and pencils to keep track of the clues.
We bought pencils, but I suggested we make the Playing Sheet part of the Program so that we don't have to pick up 200 pieces of paper every night.
Fortunately, this was one of my suggestions that was heeded.
-
Back from a sandwich and fries, picking up one little package, and having to deal with something that is truly beginning to irritate me - and since it concerns some folks I really like, it's very difficult, but I've just written a to the point e-mail and we'll see what the response is.

One of the better flashmobs that I have seen recently.

Sorry to have disappeared so abruptly earlier. My mother called about 12:30 - she was having kind of a meltdown. Nothing major, but a lot of little things. I threw on some clothes and went to her place to 1) make a phone call for her, 2) find the mate to one of her favorite left shoes, and 3) get the child-proof cap off her new bottle of Advil. Got her calmed down a bit and finally came home at 4pm to have my own lunch and call my sister.
No trip to the Y for me today, after all, but I'm about to put on my new shoes and try them out with a walk around the basement.

What a day, again, for so many DRs!
Well <-- (ha ha!, a little humor there), the regular plumber couldn't get the pump running so he called in a Specialist, and $180 later I have water. An electrical starter box and shorted out and I'm grateful he had a replacement on the truck. HOWEVER, it's a sign that there's a $2K job on the horizon, in which they replace the pump that's actually 300 feet down in the well. And the wiring. And something. Anyway.........

DR Chas I'm glad you have water.

Took a day-long cooking class with a couple of side trips. Very intense and a lot of fun. At the restaurant where the class was held, Bili proved to be most entertaining. (He was out on the patio, not in the restaurant itself.)

Well, when someone calls, in tears, and says, "I just can't cope!" even a not-so-good daughter would find it hard not to respond.

Good. If you open a new bottle once is it easier for her to open it later when the pills in the easy open bottle are gone?

Great photos, Ben!

Have been loading CDs into iTunes for hours now - so boring. Also have had several e-mail volleys, none of which has thrilled me - I've sort of pushed it far enough now to see where it will all go - the next response, if there is one, will tell me all I need to know. If things deteriorate from here it would be a real shame for all involved, but when I'm made to feel weird I just don't like it, even though I'm being told it has nothing to do with me at all. But that's not the way it feels, frankly.
-
Hello, everyone.
Lovely photos, Ben. I'm glad you had someone to take all the snaps.

I'm glad you got the problem fixed for only $180 and hope that the next "installment" is a long way off.

As for the review by the former DR, it is indeed strange. I read several of her reviews of other books. She often says little about the book in question and a lot about her own likes and dislikes--mostly dislikes. Her reviews are often rated as not very helpful. Based strictly on the reviews I read, I would say she has some very strong opinions and is not inclined to keep them to herself.
-
On more pleasant topics, DR MBarnum, have you ever watched COVERT AFFAIRS? There is some "scenery" in it that I think you would like.

Clearly, someone needs to design caps that are easy to open for some, but not for kids. A combination lock, perhaps?

The woman is 50 years old and says she's an "aspiring writer?" When does one stop aspiring and do it? I have also been reading her reviews but when I got to this comment, I decided she had shit for brains:
So, I know of Balzac, though I had no desire to read his works, any more than I want to read Trollope or Dickens, Classics all. But just because I dont' want to read the books they wrote (all literature is too darn depressing, that's why it's literature) doesn't mean I don't find the lives of these authors fascinating and worth reading about.
Here it is in a nutshell: all literature is too darn depressing, that's why it's literature right from the horse's . . .
She is the Cliff's Notes for aspiring 50 year-old writers. I never liked her and I think much less of her now that I know how tiny her mind is.

e-mail volleys continue, but I'm done now - I will not allow myself to fester and go to a really negative place about the people involved. So, I've written one last response and basically said "Let's take a break." It will mean I lose a regular cast member from the Kritzerland shows, but that's life in the big city. I could not have been more loyal or supportive to these people and that's that.

Good luck Bruce.

Getting perilously close to an early Good Night here.

Thanks.

DR CILLA LIZ - that's a sad interview from a deluded "star."
I thought so too.

Tonight I crashed a party at a prosecutors house. It was a great time! Today I was telling him we almost neighbors but I didn't know his address exactly. He told me and I drove by on my way home tonight and saw people I knew on his porch. So, I just stopped and told him I was crashing his party. It was me and almost all the local federal prosecutors. I knew everyone except their intern and we sat on the porch and drank some beer (many drank harder drinks and smoked cigars- I stuck to my beer). It really was a good time and they were very welcoming. I'm glad I did it

I'm just sitting here like so much fish listening to most of our new master, which sounds amazing.

That is ludicrous.

You know what I like? Consistency. That's what I like. Music has it, many people don't.
