Even with two fans blowing on me, the apartment is too damned hot. If I don't go shopping for a portable AC this afternoon, it will happen tomorrow morning.

So, in 10 minutes I put the laundry into the washers, and I should be finished and on my way to Toyland by 9:00am.

I have nothing else to report for the nonce.

And now I am a bit overextended......in the next two weeks I have the THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE rehearsals concurrent with the SEE HOW THEY RUN rehearsals. A consultation for the wedding I will be presiding over, and the wedding itself on August 10...two weeks from today....taking individual cast photos for TMM and building the slide show for the production in addition to getting the news story for the show written and sent out.

At least once TMM is over, I will only have SEE HOW THEY RUN to deal with until rehearsals start for the USO "radio show" and THE CRUCIBLE.

I sound like DR JOSE and MR BK with this schedule.

Good morning, all.

Slept weirdly, and got up early to put the trash out feeling run over by the proverbial truck. I was going to go right back to bed for a while, but was enticed by the prospect of a fresh cup of cuppa, so here I am, and I will perhaps grab a nap later. Yes, that shall be the ticket. A nice nap.

I am very grateful to add that the weird sleep at least took place in some rather cold air-conditioning.

Hmmm, guess it is just me.

Something's wrong with my place holding functions on HHW, and I've messed up the thing that tells me what I've read and what I haven't read. :( So I have to go back and try to catch up as best i can. Oy! I hope I haven't screwed up my HHW settings in some way. They seemed fine for years. Or at least I'd gotten used to them.

Riedel once more proves what an asshole he be. It's one thing to dump on a show in it's first preview (like future auto show spokesmodel Morgan James), it's another to do so when you weren't even in the audience to witness it yourself. What a dick!

I am puzzled by the whole thing and a bit pissed that of all the various and sundry people on this project with me, only the one in North Carolina has volunteered to come up and help me clean up this mess. I thanked him and I continue to open cartons. Alone.

Color me rather miserable. At least there's AC.

Depending on your Toyland schedule today, you may want to walk over to their location on 14th Street just east of Union Square. It's a larger location than the one on the UWS, and because of it's proximity to NYU, they tend to carry more of the reasonably priced models there. -And they offer free delivery too.

Good morning, all! I slept poorly and I know that at some point this afternoon I will fall over in a daze. Even with two fans blowing on me, the apartment is too damned hot. If I don't go shopping for a portable AC this afternoon, it will happen tomorrow morning.

Last night during our final "Titus" rehearsal, the projector kept turning itself off! At first, we didn't know what was happening, but we figured that it was just too hot in the little theater. After the show, one of the actors noticed that the thermostat was turned UP! :o That got changed very quickly! I said that I had a little clip-on fan and that I would bring it to help keep the projector cool, but I couldn't find it. I'll go to the store and buy a new one. I know I'll want another one if I've lost the first one.

The Canadian station here that shows the Olympics has halted all of their regular programming. They have pretty much 24 hour a day live coverage, minus 6pm-7pm for the news. And I guess the evening when it is overnight in the UK they will be repeating stuff.

Pug (the director) is going to have an opening night party at her house after the show...it'll be a long night! But at least, I'll be able to sleep in in the morning...but not all day, though. A woman who lives in the condo complex where I live (she's also the condo board president) invited me to a barbecue tomorrow. She's invited a lot of her gay friends! Maybe I'll meet someone. ;) One never knows...do one? (a Fats Waller and Ain't Misbehavin' reference)
