Well, you've read the notes, the notes had the Morricone macaroni vibe, and now it is time for you to post until the Morricone cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: ENTHRALL!
-
First post after BK!
-
From last night (actually, just a couple of minutes ago)...
What was the name of the restaurant?
State & Central (https://www.stateandcentral.com). It's literally on the corner of State Avenue and Central Street on the east side of Olympia.
-
First post after
BK George.
-
A Very Happy Birthday to DR Ron!! :D
-
Good night, George.
-
Good night, Tom.
-
Well, today is going to be a day. I get to sleep in, so that's a good thing! But I need to go to my sister's and put up another shower curtain rod in her new house. Then the family will get together at my parents' house for our weekly family dinner, then I'll need to leave to go to the theater for tonight's performance of Silent Sky.
-
And that'll be my day.
Good night, and have a good day, all!
-
;D
-
Happy birthday to dear Ron!!!

TCB - How long would the run of GIN GAME be?
Re your post yetserrday: LAST STARFIGHTER in Seattle area (Redmond, WA) at SecondStory Repertory is June 15 to July 1.

-
Happiest of birthdays to our dear Ron.
-
I hope he pops in to tell us how his move went
-
Last night we watched we DVD I borrowed from the library, Smiles of a Summer Night
-
Since it was in Swedish with subtitles I couldn't be here while watching it
-
By time it was over I was ready for bed
-
Today I must get the oil changed in my car
-
Stock up the churches communion wine
-
Stock up the churches cake freezer
-
Set up the altars for tonight's service and for. Tomorrows service
-
Go to the post office and arrange to have the mail stopped during our trip
-
Return the DVD to the library
-
Have my doctors appointment
-
The doctor is insisting on a physical before she'll allow any more renewals on my thyroid neds
-
Bring my mom the be alarm clock I just bought her from Amazon
-
It's made for the hard of hearing or profoundly deaf. She can't hear the Big Ben style alarm clock I bought her without her hearing aids. This one is supposed to be especially loud plus have some sort of tuning device to make the alarm tone change to a lower or higher tone to accommodate whatever part of your hearing range you may have lost . It also has flashing lights and a bed shaker that you can put under your pillow of mattress I assume ( I haven't opened the box yet)
-
Do laundrey
-
Start packing fr the trip
-
We're bringing more of thevixters stuff down to her
-
VixBF is teaching middle schoolers American history this year and will be covering the civil wAr period. My dad had a lot of books abut the civil war so we are bringing those to Him for his classroom
-
I also gave to line up a substitute for me for altar guild next weekend ( I already have someone lined up for the weekend after that)
-
Lots to do
-
So if I'm not around much you know why
-
Good morning to all

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, RON!

Last night, we watched one of the best, most honest, movies about the theatre ever made.
It's really a "coming of age" story. I've seen it 2-3 time before, but it still brings back a lot of memories.
Terrible title: THOSE LIPS, THOSE EYES.
Set in 1951, Frank Langella delivers a masterful performance as a New York actor who stars in Ohio summer stock productions, but who will probably never make it to the big show. Tom Hulce is also in the cast.
Well worth your time if you can find a copy.
-
I have 4 different audio editions of my one-person stage plays currently in production.
I'm still looking for somebody to do my Errol Flynn one-person play.
If you know an actor who might be right for the role AND he has his own audio set-up, please ask him to contact me and/or submit an audition via ACX.
The title of the play is (Big surprise!) FLYNN.
-
T.O.D.
ONCE UPON A TIME IN AMERICA is one of my all-time film scores.

I should probably get there, and hope someone preserves the millstone!

Is this Saturday, for real? It's my third one in so many days, due to activities going on around here. Three Saturdays in a row. It's been a wild ride!
-
Chas - Thanks so much for preserving that!!!
-
Good morning, all!
-
Yesterday was a lovely day. Even if it rained.
A lot.
-
I had a good day. After breakfast with Randy & Jo and a few errands, I sat around with Randy watching TV and talking until my friend Carmon DeLeone showed up and we went out for a 2-hour catch up and talk about the overture on tomorrow's concert.
-
He dropped me off at DR Ginny and Richard's. where I spent a fantastic evening with them. Around 9:45 they drove me back to Randy's and he and I were up till 11:30 watch the Tom Hanks film Captain Phillips.
-
This morning I slept in. Just before breakfast my niece Corby and her daughter Riley stopped by with doughnuts and we had a nice visit. Randy's friend Mark Hahn, whom I've known for the past 50+ years, is stopping by this afternoon to say hello, and I look forward to seeing him. I haven't seen him since he was at my dad's funeral ten years ago.

I knew that ALNM was inspired by this but. Didn't realize how it wS truly a musical version of the original

A hoot!

I first saw it when I was a teenager, maybe 13 or 14 and obsessed with ALNM. It was playing at a museum in Louisville some Sunday afternoon and my dad took me. He was not pleased with all the adult themes, but he still seemed to enjoy the ending.
I loved every minute of it. Still do.

Thanks so much, John G!!

Waiting in line for gas at Costco. It's not too bad, just boring
-
Got the new Michael Connelly, The Late Show, on CD.
-
Four!
-
I'm up, I'm up - I think I got nine hours of sleep or thereabouts.
-
It's already seventy-nine in the house - but I really don't like having the air on, so I'll wait just a bit.
-
No gas lines here but it has jumped 40 -50 cents a gallon depending on the station
-
Cool here today. 68 this morning
-
Costco was $2.15 a gallon. Everywhere else is $2.39 to $2.59. I filled up on Sunday for $1.99. All in a week.
-
Waiting for a massage. The New Age musical goo in the background is actually better than usual. It's Gentle Shepherd from Peter Pan.

Saturday afternoon greetings! Richard and I did some errands, had a nice lunch at First Watch, and got home in time for Michigan's kickoff against Florida - Go, Blue!
-
Randy's friend Mark Hahn is here, and it was nice to see him. They are now looking for the source of a basement leak
Jo and I went shopping for a bit and it's chilly, lazy afternoon.

Congrats to DR FJL on his millstone!

Thanks so much, George! (twice!)

Hello, everyone.

Happy Birthday

It's hot here. Ugh! 83 degrees in the apartment, with both AC and fan on HIGH.
-
I did a load of laundry this morning. It wasn't too hot out then and I wanted clean sheets.
-
I've been wearing my new back brace. It's from Old Bones Therapy (gotta love the name), designed by a software engineer who, like me, couldn't sit at a desk in comfort. I haven't tried the desk-sitting yet, but it's helped with laundry and cleaning.
-
I'm looking forward to Kritzerland's new classical release.

Thanks DR JEANNE.
Those SHAKER alarm clocks were very common for students/staff when I worked for the Indiana School for the Deaf.....I am sure the low tech shaking is still the most effective WAKE UP device.....
-
To avoid the heat we took a beautiful drivet hrough the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. We crossed the Bridge of the Gods over into Oregon, stopping in Hood City. We only walked a little bit. I stopped in a store that sells Oregon made huckleberry licorice only to find out they were out of it. Instead I got yummy huckleberry jelly beans.
-
We then went to a highly rated winery, Marchesi Vineyards, where we had Pinot Grigio that was delicious. I purchased 3 bottles. It reminded me of excellent Italian Pinot Grigio, but then the winemaker is from Italy.

It is hot as blue blazes here in Oakland CA today (and yesterday). It got up to 102 at one point, but now seems to be hovering at 99. I am not fond of this kind of heat, but at least it is a dry heat and not humid, as well.
-
The packing is nearly done. Nearly, but not quite. Sigh.
I have to do something with my car and book a hotel and a flight. I have a move date of Sept. 12th, and then on the 14th, I have a recycle outfit coming to pick up stuff I'm not taking with me.
Fun, fun, fun!

Thanks, Jane. Some people don't recommend braces, as they feel their use makes you weaker, but I do my stretches faithfully every morning and there's a good chance that those in the nay group have never had these problems. I'm glad to have it.

Ron, I hope you had a nice day, despite being in the midst of the move.

Had a very good stumble-through save for one of our performers had car trouble and couldn't get to us - we mushed on and they'll come early tomorrow so they get to run their songs twice.
-
We have a liitle more than half the house filled. The theater holds 100, I think. So far, it's going well. :)

The run will probably only be two or three weeks. I just threw that idea out. I doubt the timing would work for that period.

Greetings, 1 Guest!
-
Think I am running a fever tonight, but no working thermometer.
-
Could just be the heat in this bedroom.
-
I know Nicky didn't want to stay in here.
-
The high was 90 degrees today. 90 again tomorrow.
-
Is this really September?
-
I thought maybe I could work THE GIN GAME in around STARFIGHTER, but it was just wishful thinking.
-
Oh well.
-
This afternoon I watched THE LAST OF SHEILA. I thought I had seen it before, but it didn't seem familiar. I enjoyed it, I guess.
-
Had some Cheetos extra crunchy for my evening snack. For dinner I had a philly cheesesteak sandwich and a side Caesar Salad, so I needed something else and Cheetos was it.
-
Happy Birthday to DR Ron P.
(Sorry this is so late)
Thank you, Tom!
