What I did learn is that I should have booked a ticket regardless if I had electricity or not and if not cancelled it within 24 hrs and then rebooked and kept doing it until I had a confirmation of power. Prices were lower and available further out.
I now have friends staying with me as they are not supposed to have power until next week.
OMG, anyone who was going to drive into Florida -- I'm hearing such horror stories about traffic backed up for MILES with people returning home or just traveling there. I daresay those Vixes, and my own friends here, have dodged a major bullet.
My wife is fine. She's walking around with a special shoe for the next 3 weeks, but...
Thanks for all the good wishes.
I am moving quite slowly this morning.
Wednesday morning greetings!I am moving quite slowly this morning.
Me, too, DR Elmore. I slept until almost 8:30, which is very late for me.
No Kick the Can, either?

I just discovered at the back of one closet two storage boxes of scores from 1984-2000. Won't the Miami U Library be happy.
Good news! I will be working on an edition of another Frank Loesser show!
In other news, the Rodney Dangerfield Back to School reading that I had been asked to do (to play the Ned Beatty role) and then unasked a week before by the idiot director who thought he got himself a bigger "name" with Paul Rodriguez - he then asked if I'd play a bunch of smaller roles and I said, of course, no because I thought the way they handled it was disgusting. Apparently not a sellout, and apparently Mr. Rodriguez was a four-star disaster. So, karma, folks.
DR Laura, I saw this article and thought you might enjoy it.

I have TWO Monarch butterfly cocoons on the stonework of my house.....I will be watching them with interest over the next few weeks....you can see the EYES.
It is nice when karma works.
Couldn't Even Get to the Second Breast - that's the title of my next novel.

Are they at your place now or waiting until you return home?

Did anyone else watch the telethon for the hurricane victims last night? There were a lot of stars answering phones, including Ms. Streisand. I called and called and finally got through after the show ended. The woman who answered took my information and credit card number and then asked if I wanted to be connected to a celebrity. I said "sure." I was transferred to Charlie Wilson. He was very nice but I had never heard of him. I looked him up and he's a singer, songwriter and producer. I guess it wouldn't have been okay for me to ask him if Barbra was nearby and could talk.

Well, I must be off. I just found out that when I checked to see if my personal information may have been potentially impacted by the Equfax breach (https://www.equifaxsecurity2017.com/potential-impact/), I got the message, "Based on the information provided, we believe that your personal information may have been impacted by this incident." :o
:P
Hillary has power and is at home.
Watching the Orson Welles' Macbeth. Very stylized, very bleak, very beautiful.
George, see paragraph 5;

I'm watching a new Australian drama called NEWTON'S LAW. It's from the creators of MISS FISHER. It's good, but IMO doesn't have the magic of MISS FISHER.
DR George I was going to compliment you on your nice neat writing until I looked closely at the purchases, followed by the fact it is not yours ;D
I have zero plans for tomorrow, and I plan on keeping it that way.
