Well, you've read the notes, the notes had a heartbeat and pace, and now it is time for you to post until the paced cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: HENDIADYS!
-
First post after BK!

Second post after BK!

From last night: George, the problem with the lasagna is not making too much of it. The problem is trying to make the lasagna now that I am in the chair. It was a lot of work to make when I could stand up, but in the chair it would be impossible.

Oh. I'm sorry.
Don't be. Of all the things that I can never do again, making lasagna is probably one of the least important.

Well, time to go to sleep and dream about lasagna and other Italian dishes.
-
Good night, George.
-
Good night, Tom. Sweet (and savory) dreams!
;)
-
Well, I'm off too.
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning to all

TOD
At home:
Tuna
Out:
A steak and cheese (always on the look out for a good one)
Most Unusual:
The Gator
Sirloin steak, chicken, kielbasa, & provolone in "swamp sauce"
-
Good morning, all.

I've started listening to the Cole Porter set I bought yesterday. There's a reason I didn't know the two Porter songs: They weren't written by Cole Porter. One was by someone named Del Porter. The other was by Warren and Dubin.
Embarrassing.
-
TOD:
I had a very good chicken avocado club yesterday.
-
I guess it's time for a chorus of "Anything Goes":

Got to go to work.
-
T.O.D.
At home: peanut butter and jelly (It's easy)
Out: rare roast beef

Great notes! I can understand the frustration level that such behavior brings MR BK....I deal with it every summer....and when I finally say something, the fools looks around like: "Who are you talking to? I dint do nuffin'."
Although this is NOT a solution to that problem.....when I am directing - or suggest to the director if I'm in a show - is make a CLOSED Facebook group for cast, crew, and staff. They pay more attention to FB than emails. You can post your NOTES there and SEE who has looked at them, and you can be sure that everyone sees any notice you post if you want to change your mind about doing something at rehearsal...or remind them of what they should KNOW for TONIGHT!!!
It's a great tool!

TOD:
Home:
Chicken/turkey/bacon club....with CHEESE....
Out:
Hmmmmm....I am not very adventurous....but once I tried a Reuben because I heard people talk about it in the movies and on television....imagine my shock and horror when they plopped it down in front of me....and there was CABBAGE on it!
-
Good morning, all!
-
I read the chapters on "The Vamp" and "Ballet Ballads" in the Latouche bio last night, stayed up far too late, and - much to Annabelle's dismay - slept later than she'd like me to.
-
Now that she's had her Frisky Feast, she's allowed me to have some coffee while she waits for birds in the window.
-
I have to finish up "Ballet Ballads" this week and get it off to my copyist Scott. I'll work on that obce I tidy up and put Annabelle's toys away.
-
Yes, Robert Fairchild, who was in the Proms OKLAHOMA!, will play Harry Beaton in the City Center BRIGADOON.
-
DR JohnG, I am intrigued by this Cole Porter recording. Can you post the cover?
-
Good morning, all.

TOD
Too damned many to name, sandwiches of all stripes being one of my favorite types of foodstuffs in all of creation.
-
Another day at the piano is in store for the likes of me.
I need to get back to the fall cleanup outdoors, but it's just going to have to wait.
-
Had a most incredible dream, or pairing of a couple of dreams, last night. A true classic. There are a couple of scenes or settings I can't quite bring back now, sorry to say, but I was certainly at my personal best in the creation of the big scene.
-
I just sent Matthew McElligott a note asking if he wants to collaborate on "Annabelle of West 82nd Street."
-
DR JohnG, I am intrigued by this Cole Porter recording. Can you post the cover?
I will try to this evening. It’s German, I think and many of the recordings are excellent. My favorite of what I’ve heard so far is Mel Torme singing Get Out of Town with Artie Shaw’s orchestra.
-
Thursday morning greetings! I have a nothing-on-the-calendar day today, so will get busy on my crafty projects for next weekend's AAUW Holiday Bazaar.

TOD:
Home:
turkey with mayo, lettuce and tomato
tuna salad or chicken salad
Out:
Turkey club is my favorite, except I don't know why they always make it with three pieces of bread. Who needs all that bread? I always take the middle piece out.
I think the weirdest sandwich I ever ordered was tongue and fried egg at Carnegie Deli in New York. Not that a tongue sandwich is all that weird - I've always liked tongue, but I'd never seen it with fried eggs on top. It was good, but of course being a Carnegie Delli sandwich, there was no way I could finish the monstrosity.
A bit off topic - one of the first times Mark and I went to a restaurant together - it was Musso and Frank's and he looked at the menu and dared me to order the tongue sandwich. He was joking - he didn't think any sane person would eat tongue. He had no idea that was what I really planned to order, ha!
-
I rarely have bread at home. But nothing, in my mind, beats a tomato sandwich with the freshest tomato available, mayo and fresh dill on sourdough. And some great salt.
-

Why not have George over for a lasagna making event, then you can both enjoy it.

My mother cooked tongue and I always enjoyed it, after she sliced it. I never liked it cold or in a sandwich.
-
I rarely have bread at home. But nothing, in my mind, beats a tomato sandwich with the freshest tomato available, mayo and fresh dill on sourdough. And some great salt.
Yes to that. Amen.
How about an onion sandwich? My mom made these a couple of times. If I'm remembering right, just onion, butter instead of mayo or anything else, salt & pepper, plain old white bread for us back then.
-
TOD - My most unusual sandwich has to be what Marsha, the prop girl, made for the tray I carried on stage as Aunt Martha in my high school's Arsenic and Old Lace. Our director had told her just to stack up bread, but Marsha said, "Sandwiches have to have something inside," and made potato chip sandwiches.
-
Annabelle will not be happy. Her new collar and ID tag arrived in today's mail. She will hate it.
-
I'm up, I'm up - almost eight hours of sleep.

Onion sandwich sounds delish. I also like radish sandwiches with butter and Swiss on rye.

My Irish friend Sharon likes Chip Buddies, fries and mayo on a hamburger bun.

Topic of the Day:
I don't usually make sandwiches at home. But I recently got some (extremely expensive...not worth it...except to try it...once) low-carb bread and got some sliced turkey and chicken to make sandwiches. It wasn't too bad, just really expensive. :P
-
Otherwise, I like sub sandwiches. I like Subway, Quiznos, and Blimpies (the last two are no longer around here). A local place called Meconi's Italian Subs (http://www.meconissubs.com/) has some very good subs. Costco sells gift cards for Meconi's...two $25 gift cards (a $50 value) for only $39.95! A 20% savings! AND on the back of every Washington Center ticket is a $2 off coupon for a full sub sandwich (or $1 for a half) at Meconi's, so paired with the gift card, I can save about 40% on every sub sandwich!! I love that!
-
If you count hamburgers, I had a bison burger just last week. It was kind of dry (very low fat), but it tasted pretty good. That can probably be considered the "oddest" sandwich that I've ever had. I'm not a very adventurous eater, at all.

Just lost a bid on little Tom.

Awwww....
Hmmmm....tongue sandwiches.....onion sandwich....HHW'ers are certainly leaders in the world of sandwiches.
I also like a good fresh tomato sandwich, but they make the bread so soggy, they are difficult to eat!

If Annabelle gets out, someone can catch her and take her to a vet to see if she is chipped.
Actually, no one will have to catch Annabelle. It sounds like she'd just jump right onto somebody.
Joshie -- well, he wasn't chipped. No one would have been able to catch him.

I just put a bid on this 6 month old.
-
Aww.
-
Richard and I went for spaghetti at the Spinning Fork and wound up eating and visiting with our neighbor Julie and her significant other Doug. It was delightful to catch up with them!

When did televisions get so complicated? I can't figure out how to change the channel on the motel tv.

This past weekend, I found Ebonie's collar and put it on Neve. Neve didn't have a problem with it at all. Of course, I didn't leave it on for too long, so I'll have to try it for a longer period of time.

Annabelle is collared. It's red, and she has a little green ID tag with her name, my name and phone number.
I didn't realize you were getting her a collar so my question might be a bit late. Is it a pop off collar in case it catches on something? She also has a microchip-right? I believe you can't adopt pets these days without one.
I look forward to a photo of Annabelle in her pretty new collar.
-
Does she have a microchip, Elmore?
Yes.
That answered one question.

Joshie -- well, he wasn't chipped. No one would have been able to catch him.

If she can slide out of it then it also makes it easier for the collar to catch on something, including her mouth.
-
Aww.
Double Aww.

When did televisions get so complicated? I can't figure out how to change the channel on the motel tv.
I have no idea how to work our new tv ;D
-
We walked to the market this afternoon while it was nice outside. As we were leaving it began to pour and we were not wearing rain gear, in fact I was wearing my new coat I purchased this morning that is not even rain resistant, just light weight and warm.
-
Standing under the awning outside the market I mentioned to Keith it would be nice if one of the neighbors that always pass us on the road would come drive us home.
-
Two seconds later our neighbor and friend walked up, saw us staring at the rain and asked if we wanted a ride home. I stared at her in shock.
-
She only had a quick purchase and we were nice and dry in her car.
-
Thanks to the surprise rain I only walked 25,000 steps instead of the 30,000 I have been managing. I didn't expect the number to drop until after Daylight Savings ends. Oh well, I am happy not to have been soaked to the bone ;D
-
I figured out how to change the channels. I went through hundreds of channels. There's nothing on I'm interested in.
-
30,000 steps is incredible, Jane.

ONLY 25,000 steps?? Laura is right...30,000 steps are incredible!
-
And now, it's time for me to leave work. I'm going to stop at my sister's for a piece of pie that I should've taken home with me the other day, then I'll take it home and eat it. ;)
Be back later!
-
Thanks, everyone! I am really feeling very joyful and ready to move ahead now.....

I'm getting where I think I can do 5,000 in a day. 30,000 seems like a dream.

Aren't they?

Cat porn. It's what the Internet is for.
-
Off to bed.
-
Back from Levi designer run - not terrible and funnily the show ran exactly two hours even with the set change slowdowns, so that's good. Kritzerland rehearsal was fun. Never had time to eat all day, save for a small bag of chips. So, eating Gelson's junk now.
-
30,000 steps is incredible, Jane.
It is all flat which isn't good, and I do it in several walks.

Finally finished the damn commentary. A little too close for my comfort.
-
I'm sure I'll finesse them at some point in time, hopefully before we do the show.
-
Now I must attend to a few other things.
-
Good evening.
-
We are actually having snow flurries in part of Washington state.
-
Not in my neighborhood, but up north near the border with Canada.
-
And in parts of Eastern Washington.
-
We have just had a lot of rain.
-
I had no internet service today.
-
Which, also, meant no WIFI, so I couldn't watch anything on Netflix or Hulu.
-
Which, also, meant no WIFI, so I couldn't watch anything on Netflix or Hulu.
Oh, no!
-
So, I ended up watching THE CHEW(?) and THE TALK.
-
I guess it was better than watching soap operas.
-
I'm watching "The Orville."
-
I really like this show.
-
T.O.D.
HOME: Tuna with pickles and onion
OUTSIDE: Probably a clubhouse, Reuben, and a Hamburger.

Yeah, it is not bad.

I have taken my pain medication. I hope it kicks in soon.
-
How did it get to be Thursday? It seemed like a Monday to me.
-
I just put a bid on this 6 month old.
What a cute baby!
-
I really like this show.
So do I 😊
-
I am, seriously, becoming a Blue Bunny addict.
-
Blue Bunny Salted Caramel is the bomb.
-
I don't enjoy salted ice cream, regular caramel is good.
-
George and Jane have disappeared!
-
Jane is back.
-
I have been eating less ice cream to be healthier, only problem is I eat more chocolates.
-
Jane is back.
Briefly. I am falling asleep.
-
I need to try and get to see BLITHE SPIRIT with former dear reader and my cyber son, Jed. The show closes on Sunday.

I should branch out and try some of the other flavors.
