Well, you've read the notes, the notes found the flow, and now it is time for you to post until the flowing cows come home.

Happy Anniversary to HHW!
-
A Very Happy 16th Anniversary to Our Very Own HHW!! :D
-
This is my life, ladies and germs - I no longer have a clew as to what day it is. Oy and vey. Notes and topic have been adjusted - so check out the topic and share.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Happy anniversary to HHW!
-
Good morning, all.
-
The happiest of anniversaries to HHW and every one of us!
-
And as I have a very busy morning, I have to be off — right now. Back in a couple of hours to ketchup and enjoy the merrymaking.
-
Good morning, all!
-
And a very happy 16th anniversary to HHW!
-
Well, the tension and mess continue. Annabelle was locked in the bathroom until 1:30am, and she did take it apart in her efforts to open the door. Thatch has run under one of the bookcases next to my work table and refuses to budge.
-
So, Annabelle and I had a quiet night, but around 6:30 he began crying. I went to market and got him some food; he has to eat and I hope I can lure him to come out.
-
Annabelle's curiosity picks at him like a scab and I cannot keep her away. He won't come out from under the bookcase to fight her, but he screams and hisses something awful. As long as she's frightening him, he won't budge. How I wish my apartment were larger than a big studio! I have no way to keep them in separate spaces.
-
So, once I make the bed, I have to work on these orchestrations for London.
-
In 2003 I got a phone call from Liz Callaway, who was doing a pops concert gig and trying to organize the charts she had, mostly mine, to determine exactly what needed to be done in setting an orchestra and number of orchestra parts she needed for strings, etc. We met at the Cafe 82 around the corner from my apartment, took a large table, and started inventorying and gossiping.
I had been working with the Packard Humanities Institute since 2001, and I hadn't spoken to BK in a couple of years, although I had received a very biased call from a major (reed) player in the disaster that befell BK and the label which shall not be named. My story didn't jive with Liz's report and that gave us much to discuss, including something I did not know since i was still very much a computer moron. At that point I could do email and eBay, and eleven years later, i can still do very little.
-
Happy Anniversary to HHW!
-
DR Jane, I hope you feel better!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
-
What I did not know what that BK had begun a website, HHW, and when my meeting with Liz was over, i got on the Mac and found the site. My memory is that this was around Thanksgiving 2003, because I sent BK an email congratulating him on the site and sending my sympathy and support over the mess and nasty rumors I'd heard.
I told you to fire him!!!
BK sent me back a very wonderful email and asked me if at some point i'd do an interview for the site. I said yes and thought no more about it. Then the questions arrived, and at some point in early 2004, the interview went up online. I lurked for several weeks out of pure ego: I wanted to know what response my interview got. Well, very little, actually, but by then I had come to knw all the current DRs from their posts, and I signed on.
-
Happy Anniversary to HHW!!!
-
Great notes.....
Vibes to DR CHAS SMITH on his show! Christmas is coming!!! Which always reminds me of "I Brought My Harp to a Party - And Nobody Asked Me to Play!"
-
I love the magical vibes here that are patented and always work....I love reading about everyone's work, vacation, and show business/play/musical adventures!!
I love seeing the animal photos and the exotic places that are visited.
I love when the vibes work for us and we get reports.
I was pointed in this direction by former DR JMK - the old site when sparkling prizes were given for answers to Trivia Questions....I think I won once.....
-
Good morning to all
-
Of ALL the good times I have had here - and continue to have - I must say that my fondest memory....and saddest....will always be the joy and love that was Miss Susan Gordon.....
She is still missed. Her kindness and fun spirit epitomized the joy that is HHW!
-
I found this site a few weeks after it went up. I've had up and downs here. But have come back.
-
Happy anniversary to HHW!
-
I'm pretty sure I was doing the Trivia contests for a while before I even found the postings.
-
I don't usually post personal stuff here but last night I got a phone call on my cell. It was from a hotel in Yoesmite. (Confirmed the phone did come the hotel.) The front desk was calling on behalf a guest. They called me by last name only (Mr. Shayne) and said Mr. So and So would like to speak with you as cell service is bad at the hotel. He's in room XXX.
First I never heard of this person. I looked up the name and he had the same last name as a famous pianist. I know he would never call me. I very intrigued by the call but not enough to call back.
I don't give out my cell phone # to everyone. If I don't recognize the # I don't answer. I'm on a do not call list, but doesn't always work.
-
Thursday morning greetings! It's a clear, crisp day in SW Ohio and I have to deliver my homemade goodies to the Holiday Bazaar venue. Then, on to a secret errand in preparation for Richard's birthday, which is next Monday.
-
Back.
This was the morning the insurance adjustor came out (postponed from Sunday), and they're going to be doing more extensive repairs than I would have thought were needed, both inside and out. That tree falling might have been a blessing. Of course, we'll know more when they get back to us with the estimate and the plan.
-
And then this afternoon the heating people are coming out because the furnace hadn't restarted itself in the middle of the night so I had to go down and kickstart it. They'd actually fixed something in that starter/igniter area last year, but apparently it's time to address it again. At least the little red RESET button works! :)
-
For now, I am presently eating a breakfast burrito, a jelly doughnut, and enjoying a second cup of coffee. I believe there's a third cup, and perhaps even seconds in the form of another doughnut, in my near future.
-
It's odd, because jelly doughnuts are far from my favorite kinds of doughnuts, but I probably haven't had one in years and I'm enjoying it.
What happened was late last night I stopped at the supermarket to pick up, like, three things, and I just happened to walk past the bakery section. The next several minutes are a blank, and I might have to undergo hypnosis to get them back. I have no idea what happened. Next thing I know, I'm paying for my stuff, and lo and behold -- there was this variety pack of six of the day's doughnuts for a steep discount in my bag. Now how did that happen???
-
Joshie called to ask how the cats were doing. I told him I was feeling as though I let little Thatch down - he's still under the bookcase and the food is untouched - but I hoped that by next Thursday I could report this was one of the best things I'd ever done and not have to admit defeat and give him up.
-
Looking back, we've had it easy here in this regard. We'd put the new incoming cat in the basement (aka Ellis Island) with food and litter, and they could literally hide from the world there for a couple of days until that magic moment when they've somehow divined the lay of the land. It's amazing how they do that. We could never have found where they go down there. But after a period of time, they've always been able to let us know they're ready to come upstairs and get to know us and the other cats and the house.

Having been on Home Theater Forum for a while and finally putting two and two together as to who BK was (duh!), and then having looked at this site, I finally made my way here and I felt at home from my first day. For a while, though, I just lurked and followed along - probably for a couple of months - prior to deciding to officially come aboard. But from my first post I was made to feel truly and completely welcomed.
Then after I'd been settled in here for a few months, BK came to NYC for the launch of "Album Produced By...", and I went down to Drama Book Shop for that. (Which, oddly enough, was also my first time in the store.) I even canceled a small musical gig -- something I virtually never do -- to free up the day, because I wasn't going to let anything stand in the way of meeting y'all.
From the moment I walked into the store and said hi to BK and Ben and Elmore and FJL, and finally everyone else who showed up, I knew that being here was the best thing I'd accomplished in a while. That afternoon, and the evening at Joe Allen, was one of the most enjoyable and rewarding days ever.

Back from the doctor with no answers. Will have a CT scan tomorrow, results next Thursday.
-
But the doctor didn’t see anything on the kidney.
-
True DR TCB, no Chanukah parties here. We might have an early get-together with friends before we leave.

This is my life, ladies and germs - I no longer have a clew as to what day it is. Oy and vey. Notes and topic have been adjusted - so check out the topic and share.

DR Jane, I hope you feel better!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thanks. Not having taking my 3rd trial pill yet I feel just fine. The question is how will I feel in an hour or so.

Thank goodness for the reset button.

Really, nothing yet! I suppose that is good news. If something urgent had popped up you might have received a faster response.

Annabelle is sleeping in her favorite Amazon.com box, and all is quiet here at Casa Moore. I'm working at my desk right above where Thatch is hiding. I can't tell if I'm smelling poop or the chicken paté at my feet, but I am worried that he can get to no litter box as long as he's hiding under there.
The food remains untouched. The poor baby must be starving.
-
But the doctor didn’t see anything on the kidney.
Excellent!
-
Does Thatch have access to water?

More health vibes for John G!
-
Thank you, Fred and Jane and everyone else.
I see my primary doctor about the pain tomorrow morning.
-
It was poop. It's now cleaned up.
Val came up, tried to lure Thatch out with treats, and discovered the poop. Thatch ate the treats and only would come halfway out. He clearly will not come out for his litter box. Annabelle adds to the problem because she is friendly and he fights back. As long as she keeps approaching him and frightening him, he will not come out. Locking her in the bathroom is only so good.
I also worry about whatever crap may be under those bookcases to injure him.
-
Then, to add to the mess, Annabelle got out of the apartment and I had to go from floor to floor looking for her. I found her outside Apt. 2C, directly below mine, crying to get inside. When I picked her up, she damn near clawed me to death trying to get away. It was a painful trip up to 3C. Now that she's back inside she's sleeping in her amazon box.
Now I know why my mother was crazy dealing with Randy, Macbeth and me.

The bathroom was worth a try to give Thatch a break. Did he come out at all when Annabelle was in the bathroom or when you were out looking for her?
Is it possible to talk to his foster parent's, find out if it took him awhile to adjust there and if they know anything particular he likes. I am wondering if he didn't play with the other cats. He is so young, he should be playing. Often it just takes time for them to adjust.

I'm up, I'm up - alarm didn't go off (iPad going into trash). So I was awakened by the helper at nine-thirty and have been on the run since. All boxes are now in the garage of the new house and we're boxing up the last of the CDs. I'll go to the new house after rehearsal to shelve books because we need more empty boxes.

No, he's not coming out and if he did, I was asleep. At his foster home he was with his sister and anther cat. I think he needs to adjust.

Wishing Thatch a very short adjustment period.
-
Good morning / afternoon!

I am so sorry to read about Thatch's adjustment issues.

My first cat, J.C. (Julius Caesar) spent his first three days with me living under the cupboards in a crawl space between the stove and the sink.

Meetings. Nothing more than meetings. Trying to forget my meetings all day.

My first cat, J.C. (Julius Caesar) spent his first three days with me living under the cupboards in a crawl space between the stove and the sink.
Surprisingly, I thought Annabelle would be a problem of another sort: I thought she'd not want him in her space. Since it's the opposite, I worry that she will continue to scare him into places where we can't find him; the longer he's in hiding, the more I will worry about his safety and health.

I hope I can lure him out with food.

It is the most common scenario. I am wondering now if he was especially attached to his sister. I too am concerned. Hold on to the thought that some cats take longer than others to adjust.

HHW is sweet sixteen
-
Thank you Bruce for inviting us all into your livingroom. I have made friends here I would never have met otherwise, I have learned things I would have never known.
-
And I will never forget the kindness and support during periods of personal crises
-
Celebrating us!!!

I will toast to that.

HHW has been a wonderful respite from all the craziness that is the Interwebs! Thanks, BK, for making it all possible (even though how it became possible was a bad thing). It's been a great pleasure having on-line friends that became in-person friends...even if we don't see each other in person very often.
As Sondheim wrote, "Here's to us. Who's like us? Damn few (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k1SeVASNM8M)."

Hello, everyone.

Adjustment vibes to DK Thatch!

Pain-begone vibes to John G, Elmore, TCB, and anyone else who needs them.

Feel-better vibes to Jane.

We've now scheduled all of my dental procedures. Something opened up in a few weeks, so about half the work will be done this year and half next year. The calendar at the dental office doesn't really open up much until February and neither the dentist nor I wanted to wait that long.
-
No mention had been made of a gum graft, so I specifically asked about that today. No need in my case, I was told. Laura, that's the procedure you had, wasn't it?
-
I've had another busy day and have hardly stopped. Where does all this stuff come from?
-
Happy Birthday to HHW. Well done, Bruce!
-
A question for our DRs:
If someone had Hollywood memorabilia--in this case, clothing and other possessions from some rather famous 1940s and 1950s stars--that they would consider selling, which websites would you recommend?
-
TTFN.
-
As Sondheim wrote, "Here's to us. Who's like us? Damn few (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k1SeVASNM8M)."
Perfect :)

Good to hear there is something you don't need ;)
-
Thanks Jeanne.
I ate breakfast late today and the 3rd pill was not as bad, still don't like it though. I won't have to take one again for a month.
-
Meetings. Nothing more than meetings. Trying to forget my meetings all day.
Sing it, JohnG!
I sang it until 7:30 p.m. Considering I started at 6 a.m. and took time off for a doctor's visit, that's just a little too long.
-
Jeanne, do you know if there's a season four for Brokenwood Mysteries?

I got my flu shot today. When I got there at 5:45pm there was a one hour wait. But luckily the lobby for the sports arena (where they were giving the free shots) was right across the walkway from the pool's lobby. So I ran across and watched one of my niece's swim team practice. Then ran back when it was time. The only problem is that it is getting super cold out. I am not looking forward to tomorrow. It is supposed to be freezing.

Oh, no! :(
-
Jeanne, do you know if there's a season four for Brokenwood Mysteries?
Yes, there is a season 4. Whether they've completed filming and when it'll air in the US or release on DVD I can't say. I did read that the show is quite popular worldwide and, of course, that bodes well for additional seasons.

BK, what are the postcards you referred to?

He is actually off tomorrow as a Veterans Day holiday
-
amongst others Sylvester McCoy will be there

Pain free vibes for everyone but especially John, Jeanne, Jack, Tom and Larry
-
Well I need to be up in about 6 hours so goodnight all
-
He is actually off tomorrow as a Veterans Day holiday
The library observes Veteran's Day on Saturday, but since most everyone in my building doesn't work on Saturday, we can either add the extra hours to our vacation time, or get paid for the extra hours. I chose to add the hours to my vacation.

I can't imagine waiting an hour for a flu shot. At least you were entertained. Do you know which one you got, the newer quad or the old standard of 3?

Back from another really long day. Made house runs, packed up the rest of the CD closet, grabbed lunch, did a paper tech although our lighting person had yet to give or SM a cue sheet, so that was stupid. Run-through went pretty well and show, run-time wise is in very good shape.

We watched the first half of "Our Souls at Night`. Within 2 minutes I realized I read the book in August. It seems to be very close to the original story.

Hi, Tom.

Thank you, Bruce, for opening your living room to all of us. I have so many cherished memories of the people who are here now; as well as those who have been part of this site over the years. Here's to 15 more years!

Thanks Tom.
