Well, you've read the notes, the notes were the first notes from the new house, and now it is time for you to post until the new cows come home.

If we are all going to continue to be invited into your living room every day, we really do need to see some photos of the place.

Looks like it doesn't like the apostrophe, because from there you have to copy and paste the rest in.  Or just copy and paste the whole thing in.

Not that the universe is going to thank me for that tip.

I must say, however, that while it's been years, I always loved Birds Eye creamed pearl onions.

It was a very quiet night.  Around 6:00AM, Annabelle left her amazon box to crawl in with me.  There were no fights between the two at all, which was an unexpected surprise.
Title: Re: THE FIRST NOTES FROM THE NEW HOUSE
Post by: elmore3003 on November 15, 2017, 06:07:34 AM
Between 8 and 9, I rearranged Thatch's new home, cleaned his litter, vacuumed the floor, and gave him new feeding dishes because the plate I had been using took up too much space.  Last night, he wouldn't eat in front of her, and this morning, he had issues with that at all.
Title: Re: THE FIRST NOTES FROM THE NEW HOUSE
Post by: elmore3003 on November 15, 2017, 06:09:30 AM
I also vacuumed the floor, fed Annabelle, cleaned her litter box, and washed out the large litter box Thatch had beem using while he was confined to the bathroom.  The bed is made, and I'm ready for a nap.

Post by: elmore3003 on November 15, 2017, 06:15:12 AM
Annabelle's attempts to pet him continue, but she's also busy with her birds, so that pleases me.  I wish I could let him out to play, but I am not in the mood for another round of kitty in the hole.

At some point this morning, I need to make a trip to the Petco where I found Thatch and pick up some kitty treats, although I could hold it off until tomorrow on my trek to and from my dermatologist for a paranoid melanoma exam.

After the three of us played fishie on a pole, I gave Thatch two mice dowsed with catnip spray and he's gone crazy.  Annabelle could barge through the door and devour him and he wouldn't notice.  She keeps approaching the cage - I think - to play, too.  Now she's looting through her toy bin for things to play with.

I lost my little reading glasses that were in my purse.  I have the case and must of left the glasses someplace.  I have the pair I keep next to my bed.  I tried to find a third pair for the computer and couldn't find this style again.  It only took me 10 years to find these two small enough to fit my face.

Glad to hear there's progress with Thatch and Annabelle, DR elmore!

Thanks, DR KevinH!  They are relating nicely.  There's been no screaming, spitting or hissing from him when she approaches him at the moment, so this is progress.  We've had two interactive games of fishie on a pole, my neighbor Judy came over to see Thatch and stayed for about 45 minutes.  She decided to cut Annabelle's claws, and she brought them another string toy.

I didn't cut Ebonie's claws regularly when I first got her, and her claws grew into her pads, so I had to take her to the vet to have it done. :-\ After that, I made sure that I did it regularly.  Neve hasn't let me clip all her claws at once.  I've been able to do a couple, then do a few more a little later, then finish them the next day.

Great bit of dialogue from the 1960 film, "The League of Gentlemen." Must be read with a proper British accent.

Man 1: Is that your wife?
Man 2: Yes
Man 1: Is she dead?
Man 2: No. I regret to say the bitch is very much with us.

But I'm enjoying Corbin Bleu. In the opening song, the lyrics say he's a dancer, not a singer. Then they give him Heat Wave and he tears into it vocally. I guess we're not supposed to remember all that.

I haven't been told yet what I am bringing to Thanksgiving dinner.

Last I heard, Sharry and Micheal are expecting 10 for dinner, but that will probably go up before the big day.

But I'm enjoying Corbin Bleu. In the opening song, the lyrics say he's a dancer, not a singer. Then they give him Heat Wave and he tears into it vocally. I guess we're not supposed to remember all that.

That doesn't matter in a musical.  Jelly Roll Morton was a pianist, but Jelly's Last Jam portrays him as a dancer.

That's a bunch of people!  I don't think I've ever been to a Thanksgiving dinner with that many people.

My question for ASK BK DAY:

Which new neighborhood did you say your new abode was in?

The Oaks of Sherman.

Back from another long day.  Unpacking, grocery shopping, etc.  Then a bite to eat, then recorded the pre-show announcement, then saw the projections, which add greatly to the look of the show, gave some notes on them, and then our small audience arrived for you final invited dress.  I'd say the average age of the thirty people was about 103 and while they obviously didn't make huge amounts of noise, I do know they really enjoyed the show because every one of them came up to me after and told me.  I think this show really resonates with Jews of a certain age, and I'm here to tell you that it's more timely today than when it was originally written.

I will immodestly say the pre-show announcement got a nice laugh, then the show began and immediately the first three light cues were wrong.  Great way to start.  And in fact 90% of my notes were for wrongly called cues - several were for more light but it is starting to look good, so that's progress.  I made it pretty clear that I don't want any more wrongly called cues and I went through each of them until what I wanted was made as clear as can be.   I had very few acting notes, most nitpicks - but we do have to put a button on one number (we asked for it but didn't get it - so we'll run that before tonight's performance), and the curtain call was excruciatingly long because few understand the concept of starting their entrance as soon as the people ahead of them hit their place.  We'll run that, too and cut the time in half.  Interestingly, every one of the old folks gave the show a standing ovation.

That's great, BK!  Hopefully, the audiences will get louder and younger!
