Well, you've read the notes, the notes slaved over a hot piano, and now it is time for you to post until the slaving cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: SUCCINCT!
-
First after Bk?
-
Wow, that hasn't happened for some time
-
And first on the east coast
-
Too bad I have nothing to say
-
Yesterday was mostly frustrating but ended ok
-
Good day to all.
-
I can imagine the "quote ad" for South Pacific:
NICE LIGHTING
Bruce Kimmel Kritzerland

Pictures of Paisley are coming.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Hmm. A day that feels like a Saturday, and it really is one. Imagine that.
-
And the second of our two (2) warm days. I must do a little something outdoors, get a small start on cleanup of some kind, something so as not to waste it.
-
Good morning, all.
-
This evening I must find my down to a college I haven’t been to, where I will see In the Heights. Their productions get high marks, a couple of friends are in the band, and I warm up a bit more to this show each time so what the heck.
-
BK, you wouldn’t consider the score for Welcome to My World to be your most recent?
-
I’m up. Time to check if there’s any storm damage.
-
TOD
The Girl Most Likely
Three Days of the Condor
Charley
-
I also want to support a friend who’s in a small regional production of It Shoulda Been You, of which I know nothing. I think that one will be next weekend.
-
It was so nice to have the heat turned off yesterday, and through the night. More, please.
-
Good morning, all!
-
My near-inertia continues. I got up at 6:30, fed the cats, and went back to bed until 8:45. Annabelle and Thatch both climbed into bed several times to check on me.
-
I am not remembering dreams these days, but I last night I dreamed of a friend of DR Ginny and me whose daughter and son-in-law are living in New York. Jim and his wife are flying from LA to Manhattan on May 9 for a week.
-
I have to give some serious thought to my Ohio trip in June.
-
This morning I held Annabelle up to the bathroom mirror to see her reflection for the first time. Her reaction was quite wonderful.

Oh, that's nice. None of my cats ever showed any real reaction to their reflection.

She seemed quite puzzled at first, then she kept stretching out her paw to touch the reflection. I wish I knew if she thought it was another cat.

DR Elmore: Yesterday on Facebook someone bumped a thread that was a couple of years old about musical copyists for shows. I never would have known it was there, and I was entranced, reading every word and poring over every example. If no one has yet put up a "museum" of sorts for this, that still needs to be done.

I wonder if DR John G.'s bird goes for his reflection. In my experience, parakeets and parrots can become practically addicted to them.
-
DR Vixmom that is crazy that the other driver took off. I sort of can't believe they did that. It's too bad that nobody else was able to take a pic of their license plate. :(

I posted on that thread. If I had a scanner, I could have posted examples of the copyists I recognized.

The salad dressing talk reminds me that I wanted to do a Piaf shtick called "Vinaigrette Rien" once I found out Jan Horvath did a glorious Piaf. (But when the "La Vie En Rose" YouTube got - to us - disappointing views, we did something else.)

I've got the scanner. I should capture a couple of pages each of whatever I have here and see what it amounts to...

JB loves his reflection, in mirrors, in windows, in wine glasses.

Oh good 😊

Saw this. Loved Hair and much of Ragtime.
-
Has anyone read Improvement by Joan Silber? It just won the PEN/Faulkner.
-
Unfortunately DR Jennifer this happens far too often. Last year our friend had her car totaled when a speeding car ran a light. She had plenty of witnesses stop to help, and watch as the driver ran away on foot. A few minutes later he returned and our friend thought he was getting his insurance info from the car. Nope, just grabbing his drugs before running away again.

DR elmore I remember Scarlett's story.

Is anyone familiar with Rowan University's medical school in New Jersey?
That's where my nephew goes (the son of my brother and his wife Lady Macbeth, but my nephew is a really good person), and I'm having no luck finding out its rankings among medical schools.
(I found the Rowan college's rankings, which look pretty good among New Jersey schools, but not the medical school.)

Oh, that's nice. None of my cats ever showed any real reaction to their reflection.
We rescued an older kitten that spent so much time staring at herself in the mirror we were tempted to name her Narcissus. Aside from the fact our cat was a female, that was a mouthful to say every time we wanted to call her. Good thing too since she outgrew the desire to constantly look at herself.
-
I've patrolled the halls with Annabelle, had some breakfast, and given the babies a treat of sliced turkey. I now have a pile of DVDs they knocked over to pick up and a pile of books and magazines to get off the floor by my bed.
-
Thatch is now browsing one of the the CD cases. I guess he and Annabelle want some music.
-
DR FJL, I don't recall exploring the school during Bryan's search. It has been awhile. One thing we learned to look for along with ratings was how well the students were matched for their residency.

Are you looking it up under the full name, Cooper Medical Scool of Rowan University?

Terrible news about the errant SUV and driver.
-
DR JEANNE Mars has indeed been in retrograde for quite some time...this will end early Monday morning....so much of the malaise and technical problems and money indecision will also end.
It will make the smaller annoyances easier to endure.

Today is my baby sister Molly's 47th birthday. Who knows what will happen?

It looks like I'll be in Redmond WA June 12-14. That way, I'll be able to see the Thurs. June 14th pay-as-you-can preview (I think that's what they call it) of Last Starfighter, and get to hang out for the last two nights of tech, which should be exciting.
-
Good afternoon!

Glad to hear the Vixter is okay.

Tonight I have to go see THE STARCATCHER'S PETER (or something like that),

I think I need a nap.

Enjoy the Peter DR TCB!

DR JANE - especially Charley!
-
I'm up, I'm up - almost eight hours of sleep.
-
I didn't get to bed until almost four due to horrible allergy attack and no pills.
-
Of course Welcome to My World - this is what happens when you're writing notes and sneezing every three seconds - the brain stops functioning.
-
Page three? Really?

Saturday afternoon greetings! I had to be outta here at 8:30 this morning to meet 5 of my DAR friends to carpool to Cincinnati. We attended the 125th anniversary of the Cincinnati DAR chapter at the very toney Cincinnati Woman’s Club. The program included performance of several 1890s dances by the Forget-Me-Not Dance Company and lunch was prepared according to 1893 dining standards.

All of May, the first half of June, and all of July we have nothing planned. The second half of June is crazy trying to accommodate dates to see people and attend events.
On the upside Fred, this new date offers a possibility of our getting there where your original date of June 22nd was the night before a Bar Mitzvah in Michigan.
Am I correct you do not plan to return at a later date, maybe for the last performances?
-
I didn't get to bed until almost four due to horrible allergy attack and no pills.
Have you ever tried using Flonase or Rhinocort to control your allergies?
-
DR JANE - especially Charley!
Do you like FLOWERS FOR ALGERNON?
-
I haven't and I probably should, dear reader Jane.

That's great, Fred! I hope a PNW HHW gathering can be arranged!
-
Well, the setting up of the PFLAG table and tent was a fairly easy process...a quite wet but easy process. It's been raining all day. Not horribly, just constantly.
-
I was just ketchuping on today's posts, and now that I have, I'm going to watch some more Star Trek Discovery before I leave and meet Margo for dinner.
-
Be back later.

A Very Happy 47th Birthday to Baby Sister Molly!! :D
Ditto!
-
I think today I saw my first bit of sibling rivalry. Annabelle was sleeping in her new favorite place, my computer chair, when Thatch climbed onto my bed where I was napping, lay down on my chest, and fell asleep. As soon as he was comfortable, Annabelle climbed on the bed, walked all over him until he retreated to the cat tree, then curled up on my lap and stayed there for the next hour.
-
Of course Welcome to My World - this is what happens when you're writing notes and sneezing every three seconds - the brain stops functioning.
All I can say is, welcome to my world.
:)

Let’s move on.
-
Four!
-
Ushering tonight for Beethoven’s 9th. I understand it’s sold out. Nice.
-
It was in the 70's today!!
-
After breakfast, chores, setting up the altar, banking and grocery shopping I came home and Vixdadtook me the beach where we flew his kite
-
Then we went to the ice cream parlor fir a treat
-
Very hot again today. Had the birthday lunch with Grant at Barone's - he wanted sausage only on the pizza - wasn't as good as the pepperoni, but still good - I was very good and only had three pieces, which is the equivalent to one and a half pieces of normal pizza. I had a salad, too, as did he.
-
Picked up some packages, got my Claritin-D and came home. I finished a lyric or at least a rough version of a lyric that I'm sure I'll finesse, but that's one more song down, once I set the three lines in the bridge that I hadn't set yet.
-
At the beach
-
It was low tide
-
This site won't let me post the picture of vixdad flying his kite

It can be found at the other place

All I can say is, welcome to my world.
:)
Do you use either of those sprays?
-
I had trouble with Rhinocort but was ok with Flonase. I used it on and off for years in Ashland. When I used it I found my allergies were not as bad. My allergies seemed to improve even without using it anymore, worse than on it but not bad enough I feel the need for the spray.
Keith goes on and off the Rhinocort as it does seem to help him.

Yum.

I will go look. I like to two photos you posted, especially the photo of the two of you.
-
Had a little work session and now to watch something.
-
I am so tired I would like to stick around but cannot keep. My eyes open
-
I am back from the Heights.
It was a pretty good college production, but I saw one at a high school that had a leg up on this one in some ways. The pro band was great.
-
But it was all too loud. I find myself complaining about this more and more. Every note, every moment, is turned up to eleven with no contrast, no nuance, no relief.
The Les Miz last month was even worse. But...it would be. :)
-
The concert was wonderful. Of course, the Beethoven was stirring but I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the guest cellist on Elgar’s Cello Concerto. His encore was a sternly beautiful Bach Sarabande.
-
The house was full. The patrons behaved. That made me happy.
-

It’s the same at the dance studio. Way too loud.

Jane, I'm just planning the one trip.
How far away are you from Redmond? also George? TCB? Are you near Redmond?
-
Finished with my viewing. I could stand not one minute more of Alice - really bad - so switched to a rather intense and unpleasant film but an awfully good one.
-
Listening to the soundtrack of Un + Une by Francis Lai

About 3 hours.

Has anyone else besides DR George seen THOR: RAGNAROK? We finally watched it tonight and it was just what we needed. The last few nights our viewing was not very cheerful and the book I was reading was sad. Thor was fun and entertaining. 😊
-
It did not rain today so we took a long walk just shy of 2 hours. Later it was even nicer out as the wind had died down so we took a short walk. About 10 minutes after we returned home it began to pour. We lucked out on our timing. The rain is expected through Wednesday.
-
PAGE FIVE DANCE!!

Ushering tonight for Beethoven’s 9th. I understand it’s sold out. Nice.
About an hour ago, I got back from ushering for the Masterworks Choral Ensemble's concert of music written by women. The group has both men and women singers, but they featured the women in several pieces.
-
There were a little over 300 people in the audience, and they loved every minute. A very enjoyable evening.

I think I'm about an hour south of Renton. Tom is half way in between.

No rain at all today for you?? It's been raining up here ALL DAY! :o
-
Not that I mind it...I like the rain. :D
-
But helping my sister set up the PFLAG tent and tables this morning was not the most pleasant experience.
-
Fortunately, there were enough people helping that it went up pretty quickly and I was able to leave after a half hour or so.
-
Then, I came home and did a load of laundry and took a shower.
-
I met my friend at the restaurant Well80 (http://well80.com/), where I went last week before a rehearsal.
-
Jane, I had the Impossible Burger (https://www.impossiblefoods.com/burger/) ["Zero meat, 100% all-natural plant-based Burger, and you won’t know the difference (thanks, science!)"] again, and it was still really good. Margo also had one and really liked it, too!
-
Page five? Really?
-
Where's TCB? Reading GEE?
-
I am listening to another Lee Hoiby opera and a beauty - A Month in the Country.
-
Doug gave me some rewrites and a new scene I'd asked him to do and they're really good.
-
GEE, where is everyone?
-
I'm wating SNL with host, John Mulaney.
