Well, you've read the notes, the notes were a treasure trove, and now it is time for you to post until the treasured cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: SITOMANIA!
-
First post after BK!
-
Today should be a fairly normal (meaning sedate) day at work. We'd had a trainer/consultant from our library's computer system this past week, and yesterday was his last day. We learned a lot. Now we just have to figure out what to do with what we leared...but that's for another day. :)
-
Good night, and have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, all!
-
In another hour I will head for a bus to the orchestra reading of Me and My Girl. It will be fun to see everyone and hear what I've done.
-
My alarm did not ring at 6:30. I luckily woke up around 6:45 when Thatch jumped onto my bed to tell me he was ready to eat.
-
I have much to accomplish before I leave.
-
Hope everyone has a great day
-
Have a good day all
-
Good morning, all.
-
Too little sleep and weird dreams of working on an assembly line in India. The work at least was easy and fairly productive.
-
Looks like Bette Midler is coming back to Hello, Dolly!
-
Bed made, litter emptied, food dishes washed out, and Annabelle and I made our morning patrol. Things seem nice and quiet on West 82nd Street.
-
I remember one strange dream from last night. I was working Miami University Summer Theatre in the old theatre at Fisher Hall, only the basement was more a cavern with stalactites and grottos than the basement of a building built around 1860. The people in my dream were a combo of friends from the summer theatre and Middletown Lyric Theatre.
-
I generally don't remember my dreams these days, do I'm amazed at how vivid this one and the one from the night before were.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Following a few nights of prime dream material, last night's was but one long irritating abstract thing that wouldn't stop repeating, that wouldn't be worth the price you paid for it if I were to charge everyone a nickel for hearing me tell about it.
-
Tonight I'm seeing a local production of It Should Have Been You.
-
Good morning.
-
Friday morning greetings! The sopapillas were a big hit last night, as was the Edy's Slow Churned Caramel Delight Ice Cream. Based on RSVPs I'd expected 8 people, but actually had 12. Good thing I'm an over-buyer...
-
DR VIXMOM is correct - the Dream-O-Matic is indeed much like Emerac....later used in THE FLY.

It was hidden under many piles of clothing, books, CD's, and scripts....
DR CHAS SMITH your first dream indicates that you wish to be more organized with your many projects and that your goal would be to finish one project before undertaking another - but that is unlikely.
Your second dream reveals some unresolved conflicts with those at your former job - and a curiosity about what would have resulted if you had not changed circumstances, although you are completely satisfied with your decision and current circumstances.
-
DR ELMORE your dream from yesterday tells us that you, too, have a few unresolved issues from previous circumstances, but it is unlikely that those will ever be resolved. You are fine with the effort you made to do so, but others made it impossible.
Your dream from last night indicates a desire to return at times to your first flush of enjoyment of working in theatre, but that at times now it seems just a job to you. HOWEVER, the times that DO please you make all the other times worthwhile.

DR CHAS SMITH and DR ELMORE please deposit $35 in my PayPal account.
Thank you.

Just for fun -

George - confirming that you do want me to reserve you a ticket as one of my two on June 14th.
TCB - could you check your email re June 14th? (something I don't want to chat about on this here google-able HHW site, since we never know who the "Guests" are)
Jane - are you thinking seriously about dinner and the show on June 14th? (if so, the "pay as I can" for your two will be on me, but the theatre recommends all people being there by 6 to pick up the actual tickets, then lots of convenient places to eat in the shopping area which is really right there. But I likely should secure the seats in case the wildly-unexpected happens and that preview/final dress gets unexpected demand. PS Embarrassed to admit I forgot :) - Could you PM me or email me your last name?
-
I haven't caught up on Thursday yet, so sorry if I've missed vibes for anyone!
-
Five hours of sleep and have been on the phone since nine. I just happened to open a copy of the new fixed book before I went to bed and happened to flip to part two - and in so flipping see that the Part Two page says Part One again - in a locked PDF that can't be changed, in fixing the minor problem they screw up a page that supposedly cannot be screwed up. So now they have to fix that and replace the replaced books - this is a joke and there will be consequences now.

Tonight is my 50th High School Reunion, which is odd because I only graduated from high school ten years ago.
Leaving in a few minutes to help set up the venue.....hopefully most of it will already be done....as promised....
-
DR Jrand, have a wonderful time at your reunion.
-
T.O.D.
We've got a couple of movies recorded that we will probably watch this weekend. One is a Michael Douglas movie I've never heard of, but it looks interesting. Also, a CHICAGO FIRE.

DR George, we shall way as we pass Olympia
-
DR JRand, have a great time tonight! My 50th is August 17 in the Detroit ‘burbs.
-
Thanks DR GINNY - I expect at least one fist fight and few drunken recriminations.
-
After I do that, my brother will probably take me home.....
-
Ba dA BUMP!

Ba dA BUMP!
:D
-
August would be a GREAT month to have a reunion, folks can plan it around their vacations!
-
Thank you DR JANE!

That's screwy MR BK......kind of like how Neil Simon became Neal Simon in our Season Ticket Brochure.....and last year's credit for CURTAINS - based on a original idea by Peter Stone - ended up as a credit on ANNIE.....
HOW??? DOES???? THIS???? HAPPEN????

It’s kinda like Peter Pan and Tinkerbell. People just don’t believe in copy editors anymore and as a result, a copy editor just died.

Ba dA BUMP!
;D
-
No waving as we did not go past Olympia.
-
We are about an hour from our 1st destination, Lake Quinault.
-
DR JOHN G - that explains a LOT of things.
-
Thanks DR GEORGE. If I don't have fun, it will be my own fault.

DR JOHN G - that explains a LOT of things.
Ha!
-
What is this page two malarkey?
-
I want to go home.
-
But I can’t.
-
Three!
-
What is this page three malarkey?
-
What is the derivation of that word, malarkey? And why is it yekralam spelled backwards?
-
And I am home! The babies were waiting to let me know their dinner was 30 minutes late, and now they are happy.
-
And I am home! But leaving now, to scare up something to eat, and to find this country theater where I'm seeing It Should Have Been You.
-
Had a very nice lunch meeting, a nice antidote to the annoying morning. They're fixing the book, but now I have to get another test book, approve it, then they'll send me the replacement books and I'll toss the mistake copies in the trash.
-
The band reading went well. I can't say I'm crazy about the orchestrations. I thought there were a couple of beautiful charts, but i felt much of te rest sounded as though the music team thought, this 1930s stuff is so old-fashioned, we'd better tart it up, and they went too far.
-
Picked up one package and within a minute of my leaving, another arrived.
-
DR JRand67, that Dream-o-matic is amazing. Thank you.
-
A couple of friends asked me if we could brave the TDF waters to see Hello, Dolly! with Bernadette. I'm certainly game, so we just paid our money and took our chances for Wednesday, May 2.
-
Thank you DR ELMORE.
Ugh I hate tarted up music.
-
I shall now be on my way to relive the tribulations, humiliations, and joys of my high school years.
-
What is the derivation of that word, malarkey? And why is it yekralam spelled backwards?
It's just another one of life's mysterious and imponderable mysteries.
;)
-
Thank you DR ELMORE.
Ugh I hate tarted up music.
So do I. :P

Hello, everyone.
-
Vibes to DR John G's friend Cecil.
-
I'd like to find a treasure trove. I threw out so many things years ago, influenced my all those anti-clutter folks. Then ANTIQUES ROADSHOW came along and showed me what a mistake I'd made. :P
-
But I'm glad BK found his. His stuff is worth far more than mine would have been, I'm sure.
-
Vibes to Jrand for a fun high school reunion.
-
Re editing errors:
I've found that in many cases someone went in to fix a mistake and inadvertently created one or two new ones in the process. I've seen this sooo many times.
I've also found that very few people proof their work.
-
TOD:
Maybe REILLY, ACE OF SPIES
Maybe something else instead.
-
Weekend vibes to all.
TTFN.
-
We had a nice hike today and are now in our hotel room with a little view of the lake.
-
As soon as I am done freshening up we will go to the lobby for drinks around the fireplace.
-
After I do that, my brother will probably take me home.....
:D
-

Well that's not a mistake I've ever made.
And when I'm famous my 1st grade spelling test is gonna be worth a fortune !
-
Today I decided to make a phone call for dinner
-
Pizza and wings should be here shortly
-
I wouldn't call the book problem an editing mistake or proofing mistake. In fact, all I've tried to do is get a straight answer as to how they can manipulate a locked PDF in any way, shape, or form. When this is all made right, that conversation will happen.
-
I'm exhausted.
-
Good evening!
-
Page 4 malarkey!
-

I'm sure a lot of people realized that, too.
-
Reunion vibes to Jrand!

Vibes to DR John G's friend Cecil.
He’s got to have surgery and they want to do it as soon as possible. That means it’ll be while I’m on vacation. I’m worried for him. His wife Pam tells me he’ll be in the hospital for three or four days and then in a rehab center for several more. Their insurance company is on board, which is good.
-
A 73-minute Lear with an amazing Orson Welles. Peter Brook directing. Virgil Thompson composed the score.
I’m surprised TV then let the actors use words like whore and bitch.
-
More vibes for Cecil.
-
I am looking forward to hearing about Jacks adventure at high school tonight
-
Prayers and vibes for Cecil
-
I am looking forward to hearing about Jacks adventure at high school tonight
Me, too. I hope he’s having a great time.
-
Gratuitous Post #100!
-
And now, I'm leaving work. My friend Margo are going to go somewhere to eat, then we're going to see "A Quiet Place." She's seen it before, but wants to see it again. I haven't seen it yet, but I have a pretty good idea of what it's all about. :o
Be back later! :D
-
Enjoy the movie, George.
-
Welles’ eyes as the mad Lear were wonderful.
The extras include an episode of Omnibus with Walter Kerr on Shakespeare.
-
Maybe tomorrow. I must get some sleep.
-
Keith is answering the person talking on her phone outside our room. She keeps asking "can you hear me". ;D
-
I am tempted to sleep wearing socks. It might warm me up.
-
Good evening.
-
More vibes for Cecil.
-
My Birding Buddy was back in the hospital this week with pneumonia.
-
So many unsettling deaths and illnesses this week...
-
The show tonight was delightful, and I was very happy to discover this (old, but new to me) venue. I shall look forward to seeing more there, and perhaps to working on a show there sometime.
-
I guess DR Jrand67 and the rest of the kids are staying out late tonight!
-
What is this page four malarky?
-
This is rather nauseating.
-
Is page five in sight?
-
Apparently not.
-
Listening to some Debussy after watching Trigger, Jr., an Outer Limits episode, and a movie on the Flix of Net.
-
Oh, dear, this is really quite unacceptable.
-
Enjoy the movie, George.
Thanks, John.
-
PAGE FIVE DANCE!!
-
I really liked it, but I don't know if "enjoy" is quite the right word.
-
It was really good and very well done. Highly recommended.
-
Just DON'T bring anything (food or drink) that makes noise! :o
-
A lot of people walked in with (sometimes large sizes of) popcorn and sodas.
-
Fortunately, most people figured it out and tried to make very little noise.
-
The woman right next to me brought a blanket and at one point, got under the blanket and was on her phone!
-
WTF?? ???
-
At least the light from her phone wasn't too bright and didn't make any noise.
-
She and her boyfriend (husband?) bought an EXTRA LARGE popcorn, but actually stopped eating it before the movie started.
-
After the movie, they left and I could see that they only ate about half of it!
-
Why get that much and leave so much behind?
