If anyone knows how to watch the Tonys on the computer, do let me know.
HA!
Today is our matinee.....sold out. Doing the show twice in less than 24 hours is always a lot of fun....although I don't think theater is a DAYTIME activity.
The show as very good last night. Bryson and I shortened our Curtain Speech, we got big laughs, and set the night off to a good start....we shall do the same today....
Indeed DR CHAS SMITH....indeed.... I am sure it's what they are talking about in the their cars on the way home.....
I have to fill a humidifier and clean a litter box.
DR JOHN G...probably Best Featured Actor in a Musical....but of course, I would accept ANY of them....

DR FJL I am of course stealing "new spiel for Christmas...."
Mikhail Baryshnikov is presenting an award tonight. I have not seen him in many years.
They are presenting a special performance from last year's winner, DEAR EVAN HANSEN. Do they always do that?
I don’t want to clean house before leaving.

I suspect the producers are paying for it to push the tour going out.

Keith is finally done tweaking our planter and we are very happy with it.
Tonight we will finish the last two episodes of Major Crimes. It is sad that I won't miss this series. That last season was divided into two stories, 4 episodes each. So far I am enjoying this second story more than I enjoyed the first, in part due to the energy of a new character portrayed by Will Attenborough son of Michael, grandson of Richard.

If he is really done, I will send the neighbor lady over.

I have loved every season. I watched all but the last season on dvd. The last season I watched on tv a few months ago. I loved all the seasons.
Alli Mauzey and William Michals were the soloists. She was OK, he was really good with a bass baritone that suited Ol' Man River. There was also a choir of about 40 voices as a chorus. Too bad they didn't do the full version of All the Things You Are.
I didn't entirely mean for that whatever to be flip or flippant.

He's a piece of work!
Now trying to get into the office book club selection, the first in a dystopian sci-fi series called Red Rising.

I liked the beginning of the book very much and slowly was just ok with it. I didn't continue with the next book. I will be interested in your opinion.
A crappy useless opening number dammit.....
I heard tromboners DR FJL....not sure if it was an audio bleep on purpose....
That girl looked like she was miming her words....no changes in voice as she was being raised up and down....
Groban and Bereilles sang about losing a Tony then ensemble members from Broadway shows came out and paraded around the runway.....
Now we're be treated to Mean Girls.....
Tina Faye says ALL of the nominated musicals were based on MOVIES.....
WTH?
Costumes for Get Me to the Church kind of looked like western saloon girls....them what was girls....and there wuz guys in dresses and undies....
Right after the number they cut to a guy in the audience, and he stuck his tongue out talking to his neighbor....maybe it was someone in the show or the director....
I wouldn't have recognized Billy Joel if his name hadn't been announced.
I will watch the clips from the Tony Awards on youtube. The last few years I haven't been wowed.
I agree with BK about this being a bad allergy season.

When I got to Houston yesterday, I encountered a whole new set of things to be allergic to. I had a pounding headache. Couldn't dance as much as I would have liked.
I found a local store that always has a fine supply.

It all seems real clunky this year.
There have been some good winners and some left wing commie pinko winners who have to bring everyone down with their GD politics.....save it for Hyde Park!

While at the Pride parade, my friend Val took a picture of me:
And my friend Kyle, who started Broadway Olympia Productions (https://www.broadwayolympia.com), took this selfie of us:
Kyle was dressed as Frankenfurter because they're going to The Rocky Horror Show as their second show.

The hat looks bigger here, just the right size ;)
I think we can say winners - clearly the West Coast contingent doesn't care and won't be here. What won - Carousel of My Fairfax Lady?
Only 5000 more postings until something really monumental happens.
