Well, I won my Super Mario World game last night (actually, just a few minutes ago)!  Here's one picture I took of my TV:

And here's the very last screen shot.  You have to reset the game to get out of it:

There are still some areas that I need to complete, so I'm not entirely done with it all, but Bowser's Castle is the last big castle that I need to do. ;D

Vibes for DR JEANNE.

There was a new moon solar eclipse last week that is still causing chaos in certain areas of our lives....we need to view changes as new opportunities in our lives, as difficult as it may be...

Brent Barrett singing "I Wanna Be Like You" -  the whole show sounds fabulous, but that song sounds like it requires video, and a matinee idol type doing that song is a brilliant idea too begin with, as seen at the Triad Kritzerland show.  (although the idea of Brent wanting to be like anyone but himself is a stretch, which I think Kevin might also think, so he must be acting. :) )

OMG my back is killing me. Too long a day on the keyboard bench. But it’s not just the hours. It’s because my work posture when doing this stuff is ridiculous, and I’m definitely tensed up.

But... just two more songs plus Bows and Exit Music to go!

For those who are upset that they can't see Melissa Manchester, here's one of the weirdest mash-ups I ever did.  It might have been better if I'd sprung for Brent Barrett or Kevin Spirtas to sing it.  :)

Thanks, John G!  Sometimes, you look back at something and wonder whether the time you spent on it was even worth it, and other times wonder if it might have somehow worked better if you'd put moire work into it.  :)

I loved while Jan Horvath was doing those spontaneous bits as the Hugh-hungry waif.  Spontaneity - if you plan it hard enough...

This morning when I was doing laundry I ran into my neighbor downstairs. They've been repainting his place. He's been there over 40 years. He and his late partner repainted 25 or 30 years ago. Nothing had been done since. The paint was peeling off the walls. His floor needs to be replaced. He's thinking he needs to move out. He told me that once they did pay for him to stay in a hotel.

Watching on of Alain Resnais' last films, You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet. The man was certainly influenced by Folloiws, as we know because it was on the basis of that score that he hired Sondheim to do the Stavisky score.

In this film, two casts of a director's previous productions of Anouilh's Eurydice are called together after the director's death to watch a filmed version of a new cast. Soon, the actors of the previous productions take over the roles and relieve the show with all of the knowledge that they've gained in the intervening years. Roles of youth are played out before their eyes and then reenacted through the patina of age. Do we learn anything? Do we learn enough? Are the follies of youth the same follies of early middle and late middle age?

I had seen this at the movies and had forgotten about it, yet images just started coming back recently. For several weeks, I couldn't remember the name, the director, the cast (fairly famous French actors and Resnais regulars). Thankfully, the library had a copy.

To make up for being late, I worked parking garage duty. In this heat, no more than 10 should get into an elevator. There isn't enough air.

If we come that late to the Washington Center, the show has already started (we need to be there 1 1/2 hours before showtime), and we'd get sent home.

There isn't a public parking garage anywhere in town, just street parking, but at least it's free after 5 pm and on weekends and holidays.

Thanks for the good wishes on my trip.   I’m really looking forward to tonight’s show.  Both Melissa Manchester and Roz Kind!   Not to mention Mr. BB.

For those who are upset that they can't see Melissa Manchester, here's one of the weirdest mash-ups I ever did.  It might have been better if I'd sprung for Brent Barrett or Kevin Spirtas to sing it.  :)

"For Crying Out Loud" - The Les Miz waif hoping to see Hugh Jackman's high-priced SRO Bway show -

Very funny, Fred! ;D

Director’s choice apparently, but not the way I would have it played.

So there's a precedent!  Good luck, Jeanne!

I just watched PADDINGTON. I found it cute, very funny (LOL), and very well done. All-star cast. (BK's fave Nicole Kidman, too, but we'll overlook that.) I recommend it. Available on Netflix streaming.

I just cancelled Netflix at the beginning if this month. ::) I checked and my library has it, so I placed a hold.  I also placed a hold on PADDINGTON 2.  They actually  have the DVD+Blu-ray combo for that.

Back from dancing. There wasn't a huge crowd. The 102-degree weather probably had something to do with that. But the fans were working, and the dancing was fun.

That's great, John!

Christine Baranski was on Late Night with Seth Meyers on Wednesday, and I just happen to be watching her segment right now.

I'm curious about it, too.  I haven't read anything about it, so I don't know if it's gotten good reviews or not...not that that would affect how I might feel about it.
