Well, you've read the notes, the notes were cast, and now it is time for you to post until the cast cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: RIANT!
-
Which is what I'd like to be this day.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I am home today while Joshie works on I Married An Angel at City Center. The "Honeymoon Ballet" is quite long, and I will proofread it in sections as he finishes them.
-
So, this morning I will call my barber for an appointment tomorrow, do the laundry, work on the Piano-Conductor score of How To succeed . . . and see what Annabelle and Thatch insist I do for them today.
-
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Vibes for our DR Vixmom, just because! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Annabelle and I have assured the neighbors that the building is safe. She was excited to ride the elevator with our neighbor Mark and the pretty girl who lives in Apt. 5C.
-
My neighbor Mark teaches jazz at Manhattan School of Music and plays all over the world. He and his wife Judy have three cats. She is Annabelle and Thatch's Auntie Judy. Mark was the neighbor who was afraid Annabelle and Thatch were really missing and offered to help me look for them on Sunday.
Whenever I hear him warming up at the piano, he plays Mozart and Bach 2- and 3-part inventions. He's quite good.
-
Vixmom Vibes!
Casting vibes for MR BK.
-
I just put the laundry into the washers.
-
Last night was our last rehearsal in the Rehearsal Center....beginning Monday we will be in the theatre!
All of our furniture is here and it looks very nice....I spent $768, but it looks as if it MIGHT have come from Bloomingdale's and not Miss Susie's garage sale....like it did last time.
I believe I met him on one of those days we were schlepping file cabinets! :)
I'll bet those piano warm-ups sound beautiful.
-
Good morning, all.
TOD:
I try not to eat a lot of fried food. It's very high in calories and gives me heartburn. That said, everything fried tastes great. As the saying goes: "fat is flavor". That's why you find so many weird deep fried things at state fares these days, like deep fried Twinkies. But probably my favorites are fried chicken and curly fries.
-
Tuesday morning greetings! I have my semi-annual dental check-up at noon today - hoping for no surprises.
-
Good morning.
-
~~~~~Pray for BK to have a very necessary major miracle!~~~~~

Continued vacation vibes for Jane and Keith.

More Vibes for DR vixmom!
-
Laundry is finished. Now I have to put it away.
-
Some photographic evidence is past due, so here's a little ketchup.
First, lest we ever stop talking about ANNIE (heaven forfend), here is the rather rustic outdoor venue. I think you can see how Monsoon Season can put a damper on the proceedings.
-
That's the "back yard" of an old mansion adjacent to the grounds of a beautiful public golf course bearing the original family's name. The house itself is used for rehearsal and certain artsy events, and is up for a hugely expensive but very necessary renovation. That's where we're able to sort of move a performance indoors for a special occasion like a rained out closing night. I'm sorry I had no way of capturing the actual action in the large living room that served as stage and audience seating, but I'm asking around to see if anyone took any photos. So instead, here's the band setting up in the foyer, starting with mine and the MD's stations...
-
A couple more, then we'll move on.
-
Most interesting DR CHAS SMITH! Thanks for sharing.
-
Moving onto Page Two with dental visit vibes for DR GINNY.

And here we ARE.

which always makes me think of Allan Sherman's song "Shake Hands With Your Uncle Max...."

-
You're quite welcome, DR Jrand67.
And now on to the closing performance of SHE LOVES ME, at which I finally thought to get a picture taken with my latest close personal friend. The woman on my left is the show's director.
-
Finally, these are for TCB who might enjoy the hugs and attention she seems to be lavishing on MR. MARACZEK.
-
I'm up, I'm up - eight hours of sleep, but the alarm didn't go off. Did not awake to a miracle, major or otherwise. I was hoping for a favor that I'm told can't get done this week - big ol' problem.

Here's today's Mego report from Magnificat Cat Rescue:
Mego's feeding tube is out - finally! He is one very happy little cat, even if he does have a small hole in his neck from the tube. It should close on its own in a few days.
Peter Mego, to give him his full name, is bouncing around, so relieved to have that annoying collar and tube off. Kathleen and Mike [His foster parents] call him Petey and delight in his antics. They are keeping careful watch over one paw, the one that became swollen in the ICU from the IV needle and the vasopressors. It doesn't seem to bother him in the slightest, but the skin on the bottom of the paw is sloughing off. Just the superficial skin and the flesh underneath is pink and healthy looking, so not too concerning.

Moving onto Page Two with dental visit vibes for DR GINNY.
Thank you, DR JRand! No dental surprises for me, but the sad news that it was my last appointment with hygienist Sharon because she's retiring in December.
-
Thank you for the great photos, DR ChasSmith!

Gorgeous set, ChasSmith. Thanks for all the pix.
-
Nice close personal friend there, DR Elmore.
-
Well, I didn’t like fried cheesecake, but then again I don’t like cheesecake under any circumstances.
Otherwise, it’s all of the above.
I’ve loved fried butter, fried Oreos, fried Twinkies, fried ice cream, fried chicken, fried lobster, fried clams, fried shrimp, fried scallops and fried squash blossoms. If you can fry it, I’ll try it.

Continued vacation vibes for Jane and Keith.
Thank you. We had a lovely day in spite of rain the first half and Keith not having slept the night before, making it 2.5 days since he had slept.
-
We have a nice view of the center of town from our room. We were told people leaves the bars and party outside. If Keith hears them tonight after 1:00 he should call the front desk to tell the party goers they past the sound curfew.

Gorgeous set, ChasSmith. Thanks for all the pix.
Ditto.

DR elmore thanks for update on Petey.

AARRGGHH!! This week at work, I am having to have more meetings than ever! I had to schedule one today with my staff (just got out of it...it was otherwise relatively painless), then I have one more today at 4:00 with my supervisor, then another with my staff tomorrow at 12:30, then another with our whole department tomorrow at 3:00, then another with my supervisor and a couple of other people on Thursday at 3:00.
-
:P I say, :P !
-
We have to do a little Indiegogo thing for A Carol Christmas - basically to pay for the musical director and all the tracks he's created, and the rest for a sound package, always the most expensive thing. I have a sound designer coming to check things out on Thursday.
-
Off to shoot the video for the Indiegogo thing.
-
Break a leg at the shoot, BK!
-
Thank you for the vibes today was bearable and I was out by 6:30

And now, I need to be going. I want to stop at rehearsal for a moment. They're rehearsing at the local college, so I don't need to be there, but I bought a new ring for Emmett and I want to have him try it on. The original ring that I brough was too small. After that, my friend Margo are going to a movie.
Be back later.

MAJOR VIBES FOR THE VIXFAMILY!

I tried making cookies that look like sunflowers. Sandra is happy, because she has a box of failures to take to work tomorrow. Lots of failures.
-
I slept for an hour, then finished the box I was reading.

I am curious what failed sunflower cookies look like.

Brilliant.
-
Like a seven-year-old decorated them.
I could easily do that ;)
-
I think I need a smaller piping tip.
-
There's something I never thought I'd say.
-
Four!
-
There's something I never thought I'd say.
I actually got some piping tips in the mail this week and they all appear too small to use. Perhaps I can send them to you, Laura.
-
I finished Time Regained, a rather long but fascinating attempt to film Proust's last volume (with a chunk of the previous seven thrown in for good measure). I think the effectiveness of the film depends on whether you've read the book. But Catherine Deneuve, with bee-stung lips, was her usual goddess-like self.
-
And now back to Women in Love. The scene of Glenda Jackson dancing for the bulls is beyond words.
-
But enough of all that.
-
It's time for bed.
-
Good night, all.
-
Gratuitous post No. 99!
-
Vibes for vixdad's Mum from us also.
-
Shoot was quick and fun and then we all went to the Coral Cafe and I had the chicken fried steak again and it was every bit as good as the night before. But I'm satisfied with that dish for awhile now.
-
Where in tarnation IS everyone?
-
Since returning home, dealing with all sorts of merde, but catching up with stuff.
-
Good evening.
-
I have been locked out of my iPad all evening.
-
It demanded my WIFI password for the first time this century.
-
I didn’t know my WIFI password!
-
It has never asked for it since I connected it.
-
So, I have been trying all evening to break the code.
-
Fortunately, it didn’t lock me out after 3 attempts.
-
Damn, I have a buttful of possible passwords.
-
Finally, I got it right!
-
And now, I need to be going. I want to stop at rehearsal for a moment. After that, my friend Margo are going to a movie.
Be back later.
Well, the larger ring that I bought today was still too small. I need to go back to the silver store and get another one.
-
Either that, or it got so sick of my attempts, that it just gave up.
-
Finally, I got it right!
WHEW!!
-
Hi, Tom.
-
Hi, George.
-
Tonight after stopping off at rehearsal, I went tomsee the latest Mission Impossible movie with my friend Margo.
-
Wouldn’t hackers love it if they could just wear down the computer, so it would go ahead and let them in.
-
Page 5
-
It has a 97% at Rotten Tomatoes (https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/mission_impossible_fallout).
-
Of course, now it running as slow as molasses.
-
What has a 97%?
-
Oh, that Tom Cruise thing.
-
Oh, that Tom Cruise thing.
Yes.
-
Is that MISSION IMPOSSIBLE 13, or 14?
-
I’m sorry. Did you enjoy the film?
-
Time is running out!
-
APPLESAUCE!
-
This computer is so slow!!
-
Underpants
-
George, did you leave?
-
Page five? Really?
-
What is this page five malarky?
-
Is that MISSION IMPOSSIBLE 13, or 14?
Six...and the first one that I've seen. For some reason, Margo wanted to see it.
-
I’m sorry. Did you enjoy the film?
It was okay, but it would've helped if I'd have seen the first movie because they brought back his wife. I don't know any of their history, so I didn't really care about their emotional connection. ::)
-
George, did you leave?
Nope. I was checking my e-mail.
-
I’m sorry. Did you enjoy the film?
It was an action packed story with not a lot of actual story. Tom Cruise and Henry Cavill are nice to look at, so that helped. ;)
