Well, you've read the notes, the notes kept a low profile, and now it is time for you to post until the low profile cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: SENECTITUDE!
-
From last night:
Vixmom, I'm so sorry on the loss of Vixgranny. My condolences to you and your family. :'(
-
On a happier note (E-natural), last night's performance of Legally Blonde went much better than the opening night! The mics were much better (the timing of them being turned on in time) and the actors are settling in their roles. The door count was 272 (opening night was 281) and the audience really loved it! Two performances down! There are two performances today, and two tomorrow.
-
Also today, the Olympia chapter of PFLAG is having their annual garage sale. I donated my old 27-inch cathode ray tube TV, which still works really well. I'm sure it weighs more than 100 pounds and I CAREFULLY brought it down my two flights of stairs during my lunch time. It wouldn't fit into my car, so my sister came over to my place with her Honda CRV and it fit very easily. Hopefully, it'll actually sell and make PFLAG a little extra money. :)
-
And now, I'm off to bed.
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning to all
-
Dear Vixmom
I too would like to say I'm so sorry on the loss of Vixgranny. My condolences to you and your family. You're going through a rough patch right and I'm sure the loss doesn't make it an easier. Please be stong and thing will get better. I always thought that listening to your favorite song on repeat helps.
-
Good morning.
-
Hugs, Vixmom. I'm sorry for your loss.
-
Condolences to DR VIXMOM and family.....
-
BLONDE vibes for DR GEORGE & Co.
Tonight is the closing night - at last - for Beauty and The Beast....
Today at 4 p.m. is the read thru for SISTER ACT which I will attend and hopefully meet a lot of new folks....and see some others that I know....
I suppose I will go ahead a print out my scenes since I still don't know if we will get librettos....I can assume we will....but there you are.....
-
Good morning, all!
-
I fed the cats and returned to bed. My morning is now two hours behind schedule, as Annabelle reminds me.
-
DR vixmom, I am so sorry to read your news.
-
DR TCB, you were a real champ last night with all those posts.
-
My condolences, DR vixmom.
-
Saturday morning greetings!
We I had a great time at last night’s reunion. Richard was a little bored, I’m afraid...
-
Condolence hugs to all who love Vixgranny...

Not surprising Richard was a little bored but the important thing is that you had a great time.
-
We are at the airport waiting for our flight to Greenland.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Yesterday evening's thunderstorms were beyond belief. Thankfully, very thankfully, they didn't quite achieve the "violent" category around here. Today there will be more, but they're winding down for this region of the country. Uh, more or less. I think...
-
Indoor activities for me, today. In fact, I'm actually going to work on some music. Imagine that!
-
Vixmom, I know this is a very sad time, and it doesn't help that it's also a difficult time in other major respects. I also know that you will get through it. Vibes to you and the whole family.
-
Thankfully DR Chas
-
Sitting on the plane waiting to take off, soon I hope.
-
We've had our patrol so Annabelle has calmed down. I tried out a new cleaner with the litter box this morning, and I hope it works as well as they claim. Little Thatch has been creating a lot of stink these days.

Thank you all for always being there and allowing me to vent and always being supportive and not judgmental
-
We will be off to MensWearhouse shortly to get Vixdad a new suit
-
We need photos from DR GINNY.
-
Finding a nice suit vibes for DR VIXMOM.
-
Last night we watched Viscous for a bit of light entertainment and Derrick Jacoby's Mum died
-
Good morning, all.
-
I slept 11 hours. I needed it.

TOD
Too many to mention probably, but I’ll offer the first few that come to mind.
One Wonderful Sunday, which I still think would make a great musical
Dersu Uzala
Seven Samurai, turned into The Magnificent Seven
Rashomon, slightly turned into Les Girls
Hidden Fortress, stolen by Star Wars
Ran, stolen from King Lear
Madadyo
-
We need photos from DR GINNY.
I didn’t take any, DR JRand. My friend Chris had her husband take one of the two of us and she texted it to me, we thought. I never received it, so she may have misheard my phone number (it was very noisy). Tomorrow my sister and I are going to the big picnic for 50s and 60s classes and l’ll try to clear that up with Chris. Wonder who received our photo?
And I’ll try to take some tomorrow.
-
Good morning.
-
I am still tired.
-
Nick got me up a little before seven.
-
He ate, and then went back to bed.
-
But, I remained up.
-
Don't ask me why.

A: Iceberg

I rest my case.

The Bad Sleep Well
-
I shall soon be on my way to Philadelphia.....well....Greencastle....and SISTER ACT which is set in Philadelphia...
-
I spent four hours on How to Succeed . . . Then Annabelle abandoned her bed in the closet shelf, where she hid back in October, to climb all over my work and help me edit. She's really bad at it, but I love watching her.
-
I'm up, I'm up - about nine hours of sleep, I think.
-
Channel 21 is dumping Midsomer Murders - damn! - for Murder in Suburbia, which I've never seen. I guess I will give it a try tonight. Has anyone watched this series?
-
Q: What kind of lettuce did they serve on the Titanic?
A: Iceberg
That's pretty good/bad. But it's no worse than -
Casting director: The Invisible Man is here for his audition.
Director: Tell him I can't see him.
-
I shall soon be on my way to Philadelphia.....well....Greencastle....and SISTER ACT which is set in Philadelphia...
Philadelphia can be anywhere you want it to be.
I really liked the musical a great deal, and (don't tell Elmore) I cried a lot during Victoria Clark's performance of the Mother Superior's big second act number.

ROTFLMAO!!

Page 3? Seriously?
-
I am not sure that I will be home before midnight tonight, so you may all be on your own getting to a respectable post total.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
More vibes of comfort to the Vixfam.
-
I enjoyed the companion photos that Larry posted from Catster.
-
Last night we watched Viscous for a bit of light entertainment and Derrick Jacoby's Mum died
Isn't that always the way?
-
DR TCB, you were a real champ last night with all those posts.
Thank you. It is nice to be appreciated.

Channel 21 is dumping Midsomer Murders - damn! - for Murder in Suburbia, which I've never seen. I guess I will give it a try tonight. Has anyone watched this series?
Yes, several years ago. I found it rather mediocre, but worth a try.
-
Hi, Tom.
-
Oh, he's gone.
-
Like DR John G, I have a low-grade fever. I've had it all week, but between the paint fumes (which still smell) and sinus it's hard to tell just what's going on. Feeling angry over what was once again a total lack of consideration for the tenants doesn't help.
-
Next Wednesday is the housing inspection. I really hope the inspector signs off on our modified repair. It doesn't look bad at all. I think it was quite a reasonable compromise. But if he's a sticky sort he may say that the ceiling has to be ripped out, in which case I have to look for another place to stay. I've been in limbo for a couple months now, not knowing whether I'll need alternative housing or not. I really feel strongly about this. I need lead time to line something up and I should NOT have to pay out-of-pocket expenses for any of it. The owner's neglect caused the problem, but I'm caught in the middle.
-
I've spent much of the summer having to adjust my schedule to accommodate the handyman and plumber, to stay away while the building is being painted, and so on. I suspect that a last-minute decision to paint the outside of the building, which didn't really need it, will mean very little money spent on the units themselves, some of which really do need it.
-
Vibes that things quickly get better for us all.
-
I used to be a huge fan of YOJIMBO, but haven't watched many other Japanese films. One day I'll have to rectify that.
-
Time for lunch.
TTFN.
-
Happy belated birthday to DR Vixmom!
Also I am so sorry for your loss. :(

elmore - Did you work on the 2015 Encore production of LADY BE GOOD?
No. I had too much reconstruction work on Paint Your Wagon in the same season.
-
Ushered for a production of Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus.
-
I was not its target audience.
-
I laughed once or twice.

Just had a very nice conversation with the CEO of this new Broadway streaming channel that's debuting on Monday, I think. Alet is involved with them and she'd put me in touch with this nice fellow. Turns out they all love Outside the Box and so I've just licensed the two seasons to them for three years. And Alet, who's in charge of the creative stuff, will talk to me about doing new episodes, although that's not quite a simple as it once was due to the SAG New Media contract changing - where once actors could do New Media for no money on the front end, they now have to be paid - $100 I think is the fee, but if on top of that you have to add pension and welfare and payroll taxes, which I'm not sure you have to, then it becomes undoable unless you have two people in every episode. Of course, I can use only a couple of SAG actors - that works, too. But we'll see how it does and if they want to produce new episodes that's up to them - I had season three ready to film six years ago or whenever we finished season two.
We're also talking about a few other things I own that they could license. I'm hoping this will turn into a fruitful relationship.
-
Bk, could you make part of the conceit that the "theater group" will only do shows with a cast of 4? It could be timely since the Trump law makes contributions to non-profits less attractive for taxes?
-
$100 a day or an episode?
-
$100 per day per actor if they're SAG. Or maybe it's per episode - have to research it - it just changed this year. I liked it better before because 99% of people who do web series lose money on them. The actors had fun and got nice exposure and if new perhaps something for their reel.

That's just a good joke, isn't it?

What did the Budhist say to the hot dog vendor?
Make me one with everything

But you know it's inappropriate to make a '"dad joke" if you're not a Dad
-
It's a faux pa

But how do you know a joke is a dad joke?

It becomes apparent

Gratuitous post No. 100!

Great jokes, Vixmom.

Went dancing tonight. I needed the exercise.
-
But it's still hot. too darn hot.
-
I just saw a tv documentary about beavers
-
It was the best dam show I've ever seen
-
Found a couple of movies on clearance I wanted: Strictly Ballroom (don't care for the plot, but I love the dancing) and Woody Allen's Sweet and Lowdown.
-
I also bought the Matthew Broderick version of The Music Man for $2, which is probably $2.01 too much, but I haven't seen it, not matter how horrible it is.
-
Watching the rest of Leon Morin, Priest.
-
How do hens dance?
-
I also want to finish Edith Wharton's Custom of the Country. I have about 40 pages left. Can't do it all tonight, though.

Good night, all.

Finally some bad jokes! Good job, Vixmom. Others should learn from you and post their own, but noooo.

Good evening.

Finally some bad jokes! Good job, Vixmom. Others should learn from you and post their own, but noooo.
Hey! I was the first one to post a bad joke today.
-
Followed by FJL.
-
I have returned from a Youth Theatre production of INTO THE WOODS.
-
I can’t believe I was ever as bad as some of these young actors.
-
Not that they were all bad.
-
Some showed a lot of promise.
-
I blame the director for a lot of the problems.
-
They totally missed a lot of great laugh lines.
-
I don’t know if this was the Junior version or not.
-
There was nothing in the advertising or the programs that identified it as such.
-
However, there was an added sub plot that I had never seen before.
-
It was still fun to see this show. I always enjoy it.
-
Thank you to vixmom for filling in for me this evening.
-
I hope George’s show went well.
