Well, you've read the notes, the notes stumbled-through and hoax-slayed, and now it is time for you to post until the hoax cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: SCINTILLATE!
-
And now - Dino at the piano.
-
First post after Dino.
-
Second post after Dino!

George, I hope your audition goes well tomorrow!
Thanks, Tom! So do I! ;D

Actually, BK, it is not always a “hoax.” In the past ten days I have gotten friend requests from three different people who are already my friends. They were quite grateful when I notified them.
-
But before the audition, I have a union meeting to go to. I'll need to leave early from that because the meeting starts at 1:00 and is expected to go a couple of hours, but I need to be at the audition at 2:00. It's no problem for me to leave early from the meeting. There will be notes sent by e-mail afterward.
-
Possible topic of the day. The new season on TV. Have you seen any new shows, and did you love them, hate them, or fell asleep watching them?

Do you know yet when your show (if you are cast) opens and closes?
-
Well, I guess I will sign off and go throw some darts at my Mitch McConnell poster!
-
Good night, George.

It runs December 20th-24th, 7:30 pm, with 1:00 matinees on December 23 and 24.
-
Good night, George.
Good night, Tom.
-
Well, I need to be going to bed now. I really need my beauty sleep to be prepared for both my union meeting and my audition! I don't know how long it'll take, but hopefully long enough for them to decide to cast me. ;)
-
Have a good day, all!
-
Quite right - not always a hoax when you get an actual friend request. That's not what this is. What's happening now is a hoax.
-
I gotta tell you.
-
Good morning!
-
Good morning, all.
-
I see it rained at some point. Doesn’t matter to me today, but I’m hoping for a couple of good clear days starting tomorrow.
-
OMG, this is a breakfast sandwich morning.
Now here’s the problem with that: I don’t have a breakfast sandwich.
-
Maybe I’ll leave early for my little gig and get one.
Yes, that sounds like a plan.
-
Oh. Wait. I have eggs, cheese, and buns. I’ll make one here. No meats, but I’ll survive.
-
Show vibes for BK & Co.!
-
Everyone else have a delightful Sunday, too, please. I know I intend to try having one.
-
SAD NEWS THIS MORNING:
Actor Scott Wilson has died.
I got to know Scott when I did publicity for a Los Angeles production of Tennessee Williams' THE TWO-PERSON PLAY, which the playwright attended and oversaw the rehearsals.
Scott co-starred in the play with my then publicity client, Dorothy Tristan.
He was a friendly fellow and a fine actor. He will be missed.
-
Good morning, all!
-
Oh. Wait. I have eggs, cheese, and buns. I’ll make one here. No meats, but I’ll survive.
Mission accomplished.
-
I slept quite poorly last night, so I slept in. I had two strange dreams about Steve Sondheim, and a dream about my mother's sister Jean's house, a piece of huge luggage, and travel.
-
This morning, my left leg is acting up and it's an effort to stand on it. On top of that, my lower left back is killing me. I had planned to clean out and vacuum the linen closet after I washed the litter box, but I'm not so sure at the moment.
-
My sleep and dreams were very unsettled, too. The main dream is but a wisp of memory now. I only know it was trying to be something good, but there was negative stuff creeping in. When that happens, forget about getting any real rest. Might as well wake up.
-
Venus is in retrograde - anything can happen....and will.....until next Thursday.

Show vibes for MR BK & Co.
Audition vibes for DR GEORGE
Get the Part vibes for DR TCB
-
The episodes of The Partridge Family that are now on Antenna or ME Tv are the last season with that horrible little kid who was adopted or whatever....and he sings a stupid song every episode while the family sits around smiling and approving - and Shirley "plays" the piano....
-
Wedding was nice. No champagne.....but OTHER things to imbibe. My camera did not come home with me, but pictures will happen....sooner or later.
-
Break a leg tonight!
-
Actually, BK, it is not always a “hoax.” In the past ten days I have gotten friend requests from three different people who are already my friends. They were quite grateful when I notified them.
This is different as it is one of those cut and paste warnings.

Excellent audition vibes for DR George!

Druxy, sorry to hear the sad news.
-
Good afternoon, all
-
It’s been hectic so far and promises to be more of the same later.
-
But there is time for a nap.
-
I'm up, I'm up - eight hours of sleep with the weirdest dreams EVER.
-
Old Larry Moore - this hoax was insidious because it "looked" like a friend was sending you a message personally. You have no idea when I first began taking this on how many people would argue and say "But I got two or three messages from friends saying I'd been hacked." I said, "Do they all say THIS" and post the link. Some never replied back, of course, and some finally admitted it, and you are, and I'm serious about this, the ONLY person who was smart enough to actually remove the post.
I discovered the hoax instantly when I got the first one of those. I Googled, then typed my name in the search box. And long before anyone else was warning people, I was all over it posting the link. But what's truly amazing is that smart people fall for this stuff every MONTH. Last month it was the "no one is seeing my posts" hoax, and the month before it was something else. It's truly baffling. My old saw is, if you see it on Facebook assume it's fake. It's how this Russian bots and trolls stuff skewed everything in the election - people believed everything they were seeing on Facebook and Twitter, stuff that was provably and blatantly false.
-
Had allergy issues in the middle of the night and am hoping my voice will be okay in three hours.
-
Vibes for Elmore.
-
The nap was wonderful.

This morning I received one of those messages on messenger >:(
-
We met a friend for breakfast this morning and my hot chocolate was served with homemade marshmallow and whipped cream. Bruce the whipped cream was delicious and I actually ate several big bites of it plain.
I added a wee bit of the marshmallow to my wonderful hot chocolate which I didn't feel needed any additions.
-
Had allergy issues in the middle of the night and am hoping my voice will be okay in three hours.
Good luck!
-
I received THREE identical messages from three friends....
-
Same here. Three or four today.
Here’s what I’m confused about, sorry to be dense...
Does the message indicate that these three people fell for it and followed the so-called instructions, thus perpetrating it? Or is it a more random thing, and they might well have not actually sent the message at all?
Also, is it possible to delete messages from Messenger?
-
Interestingly, mine so far are from people I friended out of politeness for one reason or another, but otherwise pay no attention to. None of them is someone I’m friends with on any real level.

They fell for it and shared the message.
I went to my hoax message on messenger. To the right of it was a little happy face and to the right of that little lines I clicked on. It gave me the option to delete the message which I did.
-
Catching up with the first episode of the new season of Poldark.
-
It's really humid here. Sticky and wet.
-
I wish for either dryer heat or fall weather.
-
Three!
-
I doubt either will be here in the near future.
-
I think it's Musicals in Mufti will be doing Lolita, My Love. I hope they get someone to work on the book. The score is largely wonderful, as BK has proven with recordings of several songs.
-
They're also doing Dance a Little Closer, another Lerner show with a terrible book and really fine score.
-
Finished Anne Tyler's Clock Dance today. Really enjoyed the ride. It fits nicely with her other books.
-
So, I'm casting about for some good reads. Anybody read anything outstanding lately?
-
Finished Anne Tyler's Clock Dance today. Really enjoyed the ride. It fits nicely with her other books.
My book group is reading "Back When We Were Grownups" this month. I sure hope it comes in from the library in time for me to read it. I hate having to purchase a book when I am next in the queue. Other books have come in that I didn't expect and the one I need just sits there.
Actually perfect timing would be for it to check out on the 8th or 9th giving me 21 days until my meeting and my forced return of the book.
-
DR John have you ever read any of David Rosenfelt's books? If not I suggest beginning with Open and Shut, the first book in the Andy Carpenter series.

I received one yesterday and one today.

I find all of these "forwarded" messages on messenger an intrusion. I realize people feel they are passing along important information, often for some cause they believe in. I may agree about the cause or that there is value to the information, yet I still find it an intrusion. I never pass them along and I have yet to receive anything that is new information.

I loved the novel as well as the TV movie, which had Blythe Danner and Peter Riegert.
-
I'm trying to get through a children's movie called The Hideaways, which has Ingrid Bergman and Madeline Kahn in it. It's not very well directed and it's far too long. An hour into it and Ingrid hasn't; even show yet.
Plus, the score is far too '70s.
-
Maybe it is such a big intrusion for me because for each message sent I receive it on my phone, Keith's phone, my tablet, and my computer. Fortunately only the phones beep but my tablet pops up the face of the person messaging over the book I am reading. Beeping in public can be embarrassing.
-

I have placed a hold on a copy. Thanks.

I like both of them and wonder if I saw the movie. If the books seems familiar I will know why.

I will be curious if you like it. I think Andy Carpenter is very funny and seems to have the same sense of humor as David Rosenfelt ;) I follow Rosenfelt on facebook and, except for the rare occasion he is being serious, the guy always makes me laugh.

I received several messages from numerous people that they were hacked and not to accept any new friend requests but I did not receive any messages that anyone had received friend requests from me

Well...first, the union meeting wasn't today, it's is next week. AGAIN, I got a union meeting date wrong. At least (like the last time), I went a week early instead of missing it.
;)
-
Second, I totally goobered the lyrics on my song at the audition. AARRGGH!! :P
-
I'd never been to one of their auditions before, so I had no idea what to expect. Today was just the song. I went into their space at the mall. Kyle and Lexi (the managing and artistic directors of the theater company), the director, and the music director were there, and no one else. I sang my song (and goobered it) and then left. The call backs are on Tuesday, so they'll call or not before then.
-
It's been a VERY long time since I'd had an audition this formal. Now that the worst part is done, I know I won't choke at the call back.

Thanks, Jane! On to Tuesday (potentially)!

What song did you sing?
-
Show vibes for BK and company.
-
I received THREE identical messages from three friends....
I feel kind of left out. No one wants to spam me. :(
;)
-
Ingrid Bergman finally showed up and the movie got much better. George Rose played her butler and was his charming self.
-
Let's move on.
-
Four!
-
Second, I totally goobered the lyrics on my song at the audition. AARRGGH!! :P
What song did you sing?
The last verse and chorus of "No Time at All" from Pippin.
-
So, I'm casting about for some good reads. Anybody read anything outstanding lately?
I just started Lethal White (https://www.amazon.com/dp/0316422738/), the newly released fourth Cormoran Strike book by Robert Galbraith (aka J.K. Rowling). I'm reading it on my Kindle.

I just got my third friend message beginning Hi....I actually got another friend request from you yesterday...which I ignored so you may want to check your account.

It totally figures that these very people would have fallen for it. I shall take a little satisfaction in that. :)
And I don’t have those options on the iPad. Will check on the browser when I’m on the laptop.

I guess I was underwhelmed with the second book and stopped reading these. The 3rd book, Career of Evil has more stars on Goodreads. Maybe I will give it a try.
-
DR Druxy my condolences on the loss of your friend.
-
Watching Doris Day and Louis Jourdan in Julie. It's a lot of psychobabble, with Jourdan as a criminally obsessed husband. But parts of it are fun.
-
Did anyone watch or record the season premiere of Doctor Who? I liked the episode and am looking forward to the season.
-
There were also pre-show and post-show segments that are (to me, at least) kind of lame.
-
Totally unnecessary. ::)
:P
-
Uh-oh. Doris Day has to land the plane.

Maybe they just thought you were taking the liberties of the Bing Crosby recording's re-write. Yeah that's the ticket! :)
Bing's "No Time At All"

It was still the era when pop covers of Broadway show tunes were the norm, right?
Here's Michael Jackson and "Morning Glow" (1973)

The "Pippin" cast album was on Motown, IIRC.

I never knew that Bing had recorded this!

Five minutes before the end of the movie, my friend Deborah called and we got all our plans worked out for ACL and Paul McCartney on Friday.
-
You have to wear a wrist band, which had to be activated. I could also tie my wristband into a credit card, so I don't have to carry any cash or card, if I don't want to. That's a first.
-
I didn't know Bing recorded that, either.

Good night, all.

Cool but I would still scary a credit card just in case.

Page four? Really?
-
Back from a really great show - so many laughs and a great audience who were totally with the show. My allergy attack last night practically did me in but I got through the show and the two songs I was involved in, so that was good. Some lyric flubs in the title song from The Brain and then later in another song, but the singer got through it and the audience was with him. Our newbie did really well. More in the notes.

Wonderful 😊

Terrific that it went so well (even with the flubs; it sounds like the audience ate those spontaneous moments up.)

I had four more of those idiotic things in my PMs and I'm not being nice about it anymore - in fact, I'm letting people know if they share anything like this again and I receive it it's an immediate unfriend. And then I get ANOTHER one, this one the usual "if you get a friend request from Lucia Fernandez (the name changes but the hoax remains the same) don't accept their friend request - share and forward to all your friends." I was even more vicious when responding to that one.
-
Good evening.
-
Hi, George.
-
I have not heard a single word from anyone, so I am beginning to think that I was not cast in YES VIRGINIA.
-
It is actually bothering me more than I would have expected.
-
I have not heard a single word from anyone, so I am beginning to think that I was not cast in YES VIRGINIA.
Darn.
-
It is actually bothering me more than I would have expected.
I know what you mean. I started thinking about it and realized that if they had wanted, they could've asked me right after my audition to come to the call backs...if I hadn't goobered it.
-
I guess I am just not familiar with being turned down for a role in community theater.

I wouldn’t think they would hold a goober against you.
-
I guess I am just not familiar with being turned down for a role in community theater.
I know that sounds really egotistical, but it is true.
-
I have been extremely lucky over the years.
-
I have always been in demand.
-
Perhaps it is time to hang it up.
-
I guess I am just not familiar with being turned down for a role in community theater.
It wouldn't be the first time I didn't get cast.
-
I was probably, at least, thirty years older than the next oldest actor auditioning.

I hope not, but we'll see. Since the call backs are Tuesday, I'll find out (or not) pretty soon.

I know that they've put out several announcements for more actors who are adults to sign up, so there may still be hope!

Perhaps I should be auditioning for a production of Methuselah!

NEVER!!

Did you know Lexi before LEGALLY BLONDE?
No. Have you known her for a while?
-
I don’t believe I have ever met her. Everybody seems to know and really like her, but I guess our paths have never crossed.
-
Sharry adores her.
-
Moving right along.

One more post.

-
Goodnight, George.
