From last night: The Artistic Director didn’t seem to think it was any big whoop?? :o WTH??
I have been trying to get a photo, but kitty won't get far enough away from the camera. It is all over me, like Annabelle on Elmore.
He is all black, and his name is Leonard.
If he's only around three months, that's too young to have been altered.
I hope he is chipped. I just keep thinking a little girl cried all night because her kitten is missing.
I cuddled him during the night and told him a didn't want a black male kitten. He just purrred and kneaded on my shirt.
Sneaking a TOD in here:
Columbia. I got used to them because we were in the record club and I was getting a pretty good taste of their popular (Mitch Miller, Andy Williams), Broadway (South Pacific, Kismet, West Side Story), and classical (Bernstein conducting this 'n that - including, of course, WSS Symphonic Dances).
When I joined the RCA club myself to broaden my choices, I certainly liked all the music and the performances I was getting, but I never quite got the warm and fuzzies from the sound quality like I continued to get with Columbia. I was particularly thrilled with the Earl Wild/Fiedler "Concerto in F" album, no question about that.
Finally, I got to know London Records through the D'Oyly Carte stereo recordings from the late 50s and early 60s. I thought those were the Cadillac of record albums and lush sound. The only other one I had then was Sutherland's "Lucia" because that had just become a phenomenon.
So, with those qualifications, Columbia wins the TOD.
TOD:
Capitol Records....the Beatles and the Beach Boys
Motown....
I also liked the RED Columbia label.

What he said.
I also loved Angel recordings for Gilbert & Sullivan and Maria Callas.

Will you call him Lenny? like his Bernstein namesake?
It is best to wait until about 6 months, but the shelters discovered that people often don't return to get them fixed. So they started doing it before adoption.

Not here; the shelters do it at 2 pounds. A private vet would wait.Do they register a chip before adoptions?
Congrats to TCB and George ! George, you mentioned a PNW get-together. I would love to go if it works out.

Right.
And as to Columbia classical, I should have included Ormandy. I'm thinking the likes of "Finlandia" and "Grand Canyon" back then, with the eventual grand prize being his "Carmina Burana".

Ormandy and Bernstein were Columbia's fair-haired classical conductors, but I preferred Ormandy, and I learned a lot of pieces from Ormandy's pops compilations. That "Carmina Burana" is still one of my absolute faves.
Ormandy's right up there on my list with Fiedler, Reiner, Munch, and Monteux.
The vet opens in a half hour. I really hope we find his owner. He belongs to someone. He is so friendly and loving.
I am not sure all adoptions require a chip. I hope so. I know many good dog breeders who require it, sometimes the contract says the new family does it and others put them in first. Of course just because something is in a contract doesn't mean it will be done.
No chip.

You don't know if that little baby was deliberately abandoned. He clearly needs affection and protection. Just don't get too sentimental about his being a little girl's lost kitty and let that cloud your judgment. I think his coming to you was his selecting you to be his mama.

Sadly, keeping found pets is the reason many don't make it back to the people missing them. I have always made some kind attempt even when I knew the odds were against it.
Last night I tried to watch the original talkie of The Front Page with Adolph Menjou and Pat O'Brien, but the sound was so poor that I turned it off after 20 minutes and watched His Girl Friday. I sorta liked it, but I found it exhausting and I was amazed at the inside jokes. I thought Ralph Bellamy was wonderful as Rosalind Russell's sadsack fiancé but I prefer The Front Page. Lincoln Center Theatre should give us a first class revival; their Dinner at Eight was fantastic
I got sun burnt on my hands and neck. So, my paws look like lobster claws.

I'm getting to work on a parody timed to TCB's show, called "Yes, Virginia, We Do Have Lobster Claws."
Hi, Jane.
How are you doing? I imagine you're quite relieved and feeling more optimistic.
I've been cleaning out my food cabinet. (It's not grand enough to call a pantry.) It had reached the avalanche stage. I no longer get hit in the head when I open the cabinet door. More organizing to do, but not today.

TOD:
Columbia had everything from A Little Night Music OBC to Bruce Springsteen, so it was an important label to me. Plus, they eventually got Neil Diamond.
UNI had early Neil Diamond.
Motown had the groove.
For Ginny:Go BLUE!

Were the special deals in magazines (much cheaper than in the store) based on all being from the same label?
Yesterday, as I was waiting for Paul McCartney to take the stage, I saw on Facebook the sad news that my friend, Bob, had died. I have written about him in the past. He was a chef who had both Parkinson's and Lyme diseases. He had just turned 50 a few months ago. Word is that he had a heart attack.

When I was looking for a brother for Annabelle, my two choices were a creamsicle or a tuxedo. This morning one of the cat rescue agencies was looking for someone to foster this baby, 4-week-old Emma (my paternal grandmother's name). I almost said yes, so I'd get my tuxedo, but I'm terrified to being another cat into our lives without knowing its FELV/FIV status, and I'm not making enough at the moment to support another.

So would I but the odds are against it at the moment.
No chip.
I guess you are Leonard's mama now! Did he get his shots? Send photos.
Yesterday's concert was wonderful. Paul McCartney plays for 2:15. While his voice was ragged, his stamina was incredible. He's 76 and acted decades younger.

I was until it took so long to get my PT appointment which made me a little nervous the delay effect the final results. I hope the therapist is excellent. I keep telling myself it just give my bones more time to mend. It all takes a long time. It will take 4-6 months for the swelling and discoloration to be gone :o
Yes, I am extremely relieved and feeling more optimistic :)
Congratulations to both TCB and George for getting cast in your respective shows.

Laser surgery vibes for TCB.
George, when do you start rehearsals?
Wow! When do you open?
Actually, we close our run before you even open.
I know we won't rehearse every night, but having that much time to memorize lines will be MOST helpful!
