Well, you've read the notes, the notes were written in December, and now it is time for you to post until the December cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: MERRY!
-
Welcome forty-two GUESTS.
-
First post after BK.
-
42 Guests!!
-
First post after Tom's first two posts!
-
Colbert had a nice interview with Michelle Obama last night.
-
I forgot my T.O.D. the other day about Hugh Jackman. I would also say THE BOY FROM OZ.
-
I wasn’t crazy about him in LE MIZ.
-
Oh, I guess George left.
-
Colbert had a nice interview with Michelle Obama last night.
I just watched it. Class and intelligence. Two things missing these days. ::)
-
Oh, I guess George left.
Not yet...but soon.

Exactly!

Are you working tomorrow?
-
Tonight my three favorite cousins are all coming to the show.

Are you working tomorrow?
Yes. I'll be working from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
-
Tonight my three favorite cousins are all coming to the show.
Nice! I hope they enjoy it.
-
It will be the first time all three have seen a show of mine.
-
All three have seen me in shows, but never all three together.
-
All three have seen me in shows, but never all three together.
Cool!
-
These three are sisters and they were raised in the Seattle area, but one spent most of her adult life living in California and Florida. She was a bigwig with Pan American Airlines and then a motivational speaker. She saw me onstage for the first time in IT’S A WONDERFIL LIFE. The other two have seen me in several shows.

Just remember that family always loves your performances so don't slack off for the rest of the audience!

Just remember that family always loves your performances so don't slack off for the rest of the audience!
LOL! I will try to remember that.
-
Well, I am going to go get ready for bed and try to pretend that I am tired.
-
Goodnight, jan.
-
Goodnight, George.
-
Good night, Tom.
-
Well, good night, jan. I need to go to bed, too.
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, all!
-
Good morning, all.
-
Two!
-
62 years ago today, Lillian Hellman's and Leonard Bernstein's comic operetta Candide opened on Broadway.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Nice Candide pics, sir.
-
I’m definitely partial to dark chocolate — even while there are many traditional milk chocolate based candy bars and such for which the blends of flavors and textures are so damned perfect that I will always love them, too.
M&Ms? Bring ‘em on.
Snickers? Always a favorite candy bar.
Mounds? YUM!
Reese’s? Yeah baby.
Raisinets, of either persuasion? God yes. Especially the dark, though.
See’s? What BK said. But I also love the non-nuts/chews stuff.
Godiva? Why certainly. Dark, please.
-
Good morning
-
Tod
Godiva, especially the dark chocolate with soft orange filling and the milk chocolate with toffee
-
Those Rochet hazelnut in the round gold wrappers
-
Chocolate oranges... A Christmas staple in our home since vixdad introduced me to them in 1986
-
Girl Scout chocolate covered raisins . I don't know where the get them but those raisins are huuuuuge
-
Chocolate oranges!

Dancing vibes for DR JOHN G.
Performance vibes for DR TCB. It has been my experience that telling the PTB what you think is good for YOU but meaningless for them, because they are convinced that THEY ARE RIGHT.....but it's fun to tell them.
Continued vibes for the CAROL run for MR BK & Co.
-
DR George thank you for posting the photo while I slept.
-
I ate 2 of the cherries, most of the ice cream, and all of the happy birthday. Most of the whipped cream was left untouched. I am still full from a larger than usual dinner.
-
Bruce, nice compliment from the head of the L A branch of the Actors Fund.
-
DR TCB yes, screw the notes and do what you do best. I expect it helps knowing you are not alone in your displeasure of these.
-
The worst theater experience in 63 years is sad. I look forward to hearing about your exit interview.
-
TOD:
See's dark chocolate nuts and chews are my favorite too! I really detest creams - especially the fruity ones. I love anything with nuts and caramel in it, and I prefer dark chocolate over milk chocolate too. The toffee ones are also good. Speaking of toffee, I love almond roca. I can't say that I have a brand preference between Russell Stover, Whitman's, and See's. I think I'd have to try them all at the same time to really compare.
A bit off-topic, but speaking of desserts Bruce loves, my neighbor friend served me a dish of Trader Joe's soy ice cream that was cherry chocolate chip flavor last night, and it was amazing! It had big chunks of chocolate chips and cherries in it. It was definitely the best soy ice cream I ever had and I'm sure it was many less calories than regular ice cream, so that was good for me.
-
I'm up, I'm up - maybe six hours of sleep.
-
Nice birthday celebration photo from DR JANE.
-
Ok boys and girls: get those super duper extra strong vibes going... I just returned from a job interview
-
He called me and asked if we could meet Monday, I suggested over the weekend. He said he was in the office but would be leaving in 1/2 hour, I said I could come right over
-
I dressed did makeup and hair in record time and was there in 10 minutes
-
Interview seemed to go well. I explained my need for time off in January and June for the Vixters wedding and he was receptive. He's asked for references which I am in the process of setting up
-
Only he wants me to start before Christmas
-
Saturday afternoon greetings! The beef shanks are simmering to form the stock for the vegetable soup I've promised Richard for this evening.
-
I was hoping mid January so I Coukd get my Christmas bonus before saying anything...
-
Mega job vibes for DR Vixmom!!!
-
I suppose getting out of there should be bonus enough

Wow, while I love See's I am not tempted one bit by Russell Stover's or Whitman's.
-
Nice birthday celebration photo from DR JANE.
Thanks. I am paying the price today as I gained a pound and a half. Keith only had one bite of the ice cream and declared it tasted like coffee which he doesn't like at all. I kept assuring him it tasted nothing like coffee, which I eat all the time, but couldn't convince him. He could have helped me out just to save me from myself ;) He kind of did by getting up and leaving while I was taking one last bite for the road-lol.

You got the interview, and on a Saturday. Wonderful!

FINGERS CROSSED FOR DR VIXMOM!

MEGA GETTING THE JOB VIBES FOR DR VIXMOM!

And then wanting the position and to work at the business after the job offer vibes!

I dressed did makeup and hair in record time and was there in 10 minutes
Impressive.

Then do it if this is what you want. Others did it to you at the office and your boss has not taken care of the situation there as he should have.

Absolutely.

Yes because you want it so very much and need it.

Good luck DR Vixmom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This only comes out once a year now and the box it too big for me. I miss the days I could walk into a See's Candy store and buy a hunk of it.

I really must stop eating and go to the gym.
Laters.

This is very encouraging and exciting news from vixmom, and I am hoping for the very best outcome!

After Humphrey Bogart, James Cagney is my all-time favorite actor.
Last night, I watched a 1934 film of his (JIMMY THE GENT) in which he was, surprisingly, so annoying that I turned it off thirty minutes in. True, the script was not that great and director Michael Curtiz was not up to his usual standards, but Cagney rattled off his lines so fast that they had virtually no expression at all.
I guess even the greatest of stars have their turkeys.

Cool! I'm pretty sure that I've never seen any pictures of the original production, unless there are any in a CD booklet, then I don't remember those.

The worst theater experience in 63 years is sad. I look forward to hearing about your exit interview.
Tom, they actually have exit interviews? I've never heard that for a theater group. Good luck (to them ;) )!
-
Back from a light breakfast and picking up no packages, then banking. I am currently in very deep doo doo and must get out of it pronto.

Jane, could you break it into pieces and freeze them? Then, you could have it throughout the year, or however long it lasted. That's what I'd do. :D

Cagney must have been in a hurry to get through the bad script.

This is so funny I am choking on my piece of See's dark chocolate butter chew. Right, like it would last long enough to make it into the freezer ;)
Actually that is an excellent idea. I didn't imagine it would taste good from the freezer.

Candy!!!

Super Job Vibes for DR VIXMOM!!!
-
I love CANDIDE..... I think MR BK would have been wonderful in the lead a few years ago....and now he would make a glorious Pangloss...
-
I was told that the EPIC Browser was the BEST browser of all time and that it kept your searches, etc, secret.....not that I search for anything that couldn't be placed in Macy's Window....AND that it blocks all ads!
I downloaded it went to my ProtoPage homepage and what do I see? ADS..... So much for EPIC.
-
Another shitty day. The check that was mailed from Miami FL on Tuesday hasn't arrived and there's been no word on that Music Theatre International check from anyone and of course it didn't arrive today.
-
Great gobs of check vibes for DR Elmore.
(Not to mention the rest of us who could use some damn checks!) :)
-

I've never heard of this either. I don't think it's necessarily a bad idea.
In this case, though, I wager they're going to get the Riot Act read to them...
-
Super Duper Extra Strong Vibes for DR vixmom!

Had a really fun and good stumble-through. I wasn't sure whether the really brief What If variation would work but it got screaming laughter.
-
Screaming laughter is a good thing.
-
Yes it is :)
-
I'm up, I'm up - oh, wait. Have two-and-a-half hours before I mosey on over to the theater. Listening to music right now.
-
And now for something completely different...don't forget that today is World AIDS Day (https://www.worldaidsday.org/) AND Bette Midler's birthday. :D
-
And on that note (B-natural), I'm leaving work and will do a little shopping.
Be back later.
-
I was hoping mid January so I Could get my Christmas bonus before saying anything...
Oh, and I thought you were being overly nice-lol
Heck I've more than earned it and he certainly won't give it to me if i give notice
-
I had very nice conversations with my former manager and former attorney. They both were happy and excited for me about the interview and agreed to act as references. My Pastor also agreed (I took charge of the selling of our old parsonage send purchase if our current one)

Yes, you have more than earned the bonus you wouldn't get. I meant overly nice by not wanting to give too short a notice.
-
It is very quiet here.
-
Back from a fun show - not quite as sharp as the night before, but a VERY good audience - half a house - very vocal and certainly the most laughs the show has ever gotten.

I'm home and watching Doctor Who from two weeks ago.
-
When I've watched that episode, I'll watch last week's episode.
-
Then, I'll be all caught up for tomorrow's episode.

:)

And now, since we're so close...

-
Good evening.
-
Whew! A rather long evening.
-
My tablet just had a systems upgrade.
-
We started off the show like gangbusters.
-
Hi, Tom.
-
We started off the show like gangbusters.
That sounds encouraging.
-
Half way thru Act 1, a woman (and long-time friend) in the audience collapsed.
-
I have known Lynn for almost 40 years.
-
She was supposed to review our show opening night, but we were told she was ill.
-
So, I was surprised to see her sitting in one of the handicap seats on the side.
-
Half way thru Act 1, a woman (and long-time friend) in the audience collapsed.
Oh, no! :-[
-
Well, I guess she went down and out.
-
Fortunately, one of our cast members is a nurse, so he went right out. Plus, one of the ushers was also a nurse.
-
One of the problems is that Lynn is a very large woman.
-
Anyway, we stopped the show, called 911, and waited.
-
It was probably a good 10 to 15 minutes for the fire department to arrive.
-
The audience was amazing. They sat there in their seats and stayed very quiet. They didn’t pull out their phones or anything.
-
Finally, the paramedics arrived go , they worked on her, and then stubborn Lynn re-emerged refusing to go by ambulance to the hospital.
-
They got her to the lobby, where she announced that she was going to drive herself home.
-
They got her to the lobby, where she announced that she was going to drive herself home.
What?? :o
-
By that point, all of us actors had been asked to return to the backstage, so I had to miss the rest of it.
-
They had gotten her to sit on the gurney, but she refused to
lay lie (oh Hell) become horizontal.
-
By that point, all of us actors had been asked to return to the backstage, so I had to miss the rest of it.
So you finished the show?
