I am listening to Anthony Newley’s SCROOGE on my iPad, and at the bottom of the page it has a “you might also enjoy.....”. It has CHRISTMAS STORY (THE MUSICAL), the original soundtrack from A CHRISTMAS CAROL, music from the film SCROOGE, and my personal holiday favorite, ME AND MY DICK (A new musical).
And from the album cover that is what you thought they meant.

Well, Tom, I need to go to bed. Rehearsal starts at 9:00 in the morning. I hate that. :P After rehearsal, I'm going to meet my friend Shelly for lunch. She used to be the property manager here at my condo complex, but the board didn't renew her contract. Shelly told me that it was time to leave anyway, so it's not horrible for her. She's wanted to go back to school, so this is the kick that she needs. She's making lemonade.

My best friend (since we were 14) and her husband have just returned from Germany where they was visiting their "daughter by heart" , a woman who had lived with them for a year as an exchange student and became part of their family

Annabelle ate this morning, so it might be a good day. Last Sunday was hell with those two trips to City Vet.

DR Matthew, you asked about nose drops. They must be saline, nothing else. The vet recommended this:

I fed the cats and slept in, so now I must deal with litter, making the bed, and foraging for breakfast. I don't think I'll go on patrol with Missy; I don't want her running around the cold halls until I know she's coping with her congestion issues.

Annabelle has graciously agreed to help me clean the litter. I should have never told her I was going to make tuna salad later, because she will want to help with that, too.

Sunday afternoon greetings! Richard and I are back from Lima (Ohio, not Peru), where he conducted an Advent mass for his former parishioners. We met in one of the common rooms at Mr. L’s assisted living facility. He’s a lot frailer than when we saw them in August :-\

Kristkindlmarkt in Nuremberg was beautiful and fun. I will try to post some pics on Facebook tomorrow. Up now are some pics from a small markt in a tiny town called Diespeck.

Liam's previous human was here to show us some ways of grooming that he thought might made Liam look even better. Andy's been seeing the photos of Liam on Facebook and had some ideas that were helpful and will be easy to keep on doing, and Andy seemed very happy with the care Skip's been giving Liam, with me trying not to spoil him. Andy also did some extra work on Liam's toenails, too, which he seems much better at that we are.

The next grueling part will be getting up and gussied up tuxed and out of here at 6:30 in the morning.

Back from a mostly fun matinee. We finally had a responsive Sunday matinee audience (in terms of laughs - some really big ones today) - completely sold out, about eight chairs added and for the first time I had to stand in the back. One cast member, instead of taking care of herself and getting better, did the opposite, and so she was sicker today and I wasn't sure she'd even get through her song. That's just who she is - not one to stay home and get better - out every day and night. I'm having Alexa bone up on that role in case the gal continues to not take care of herself and gets worse - we hope that won't be the case, but I want Alexa ready to go on if need be. And one other actor just has no idea what consistency is - last night, got a great performance, today back to no energy and so I had to write the actor a very strong e-mail.

It is time to find out what we are watching tonight. Keith popped corn earlier today so no snacks for me. I prefer eating my popcorn during the day and I really need to be good about what I eat right now.

No. We have six performances in five days over one weekend: Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, and Saturday, Sunday and Monday afternoons.

We had a four-hour rehearsal today, too, but it wasn't grueling at all. Fortunately, this was our last 9:00 am rehearsal. Starting tomorrow, our call is 6:00 pm (and only 11:30 for the weekend matinees)!

So annoying! I wish the area where I had the minor skin cancer removed would clear up already. At least it doesn't bother me during the day anymore but it gets to me at night when I want to sleep. No vibes needed cuz it is healing just fine and will calm down in a few minutes.

After my rehearsal, I had lunch with my friend Shelly.
-
I went to her house and she ordered pizza from Brewery City Pizza (https://www.brewerycity.com).

We had a Cool Ranch Chicken pizza (very good) and a Brewmaster.
-
I told her that I am not a fan of olives and mushrooms, so since she does, she had all the mushrooms and olives put on her half of the Brewmaster pizza.

We both were happy with the way that that turned out. ;D

She used to be the property manager here at the condo complex, but her contract wasn't renewed. :o

She told me her side of the story and we talked for about four hours.

It was a shock to lose her job (it was only part time, but still), but she's not really sad to be leaving.

She told me earlier, "It was time," so she's good.

She lives with and takes care of her father, and her niece is living with them also, so she's not completely alone.
-
She also has some plans that to me sounded pretty exciting.
-
She certainly was excited at the possibilities that she now has.
-
Shelly has some plans and is already on her way to making them happen.

I was talking to the Artistic Director of the theater after strike when two different cast members came up and hugged the A.D., thanked him for everything, and then left without even a nod to me.
