Well, I need to get to bed. Even though our upcoming A Christmas Story rehearsals will be an hour earlier than previous rehearsals, I no longer need to work extra hours at work, so I can come in at my usual time and leave as early as I need.

Around 5:30 this morning, Annabelle was hacking and carrying on so badly I was convinced she had a major congestion problem and I wouyld be fighting her all morning to put nose drops up her nose. At 6:30 she was fine and ate her salmon with no complaints.

Hopefully, by the end of the week, I will be caught up with my 2018 bills. I will have no money for such extraneous items as gifts or food so I'm having a Bleak Christmas. I must admit a miracle of some sort would be really nice.

Watching the coming attractions before we saw A STAR IS BORN, I kept thinking - who is making the choices to MAKE these things?
Some movie with Kevin Hart - who makes me laugh - and Bryan Cranston - an actor whose message I DO NOT GET AT ALL - Hart is hired to care for Cranston, a parapeplegic....I think Nicole Kidman is in this as well....
Mary Queen of Scots - in which Mary who was raised in the French court as a Scottish accent....maybe so we can tell the cookie cutter actresses apart....
Some girl gets hit on the head and her life becomes a romantic comedy - with Rebel Wilson...

I bought some deli roast beef this morning....I buy from the already sliced and put in a package so I don't have to deal with the deli ladies.....when I got home it was Pastrami....so now I have pastrami for this week....

So BK is doing The Man Who Came to Dinner? That's great news. I love that play. And I love the movie, which I just happen to have watched via my recently DVR'd TCM broadcast.
One of our best local theaters did a smash-up production of it some years back. I'd like to get ahold of some videographic evidence of same. I don't know if it actually exists, but I shall ask around.

There's too much happening at the outset of the week for you to get a handle on anything. Sometimes being busy is fun, but you're a little too busy for your own good. Sink a needle into all the madness and let the tension out. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are productive but pleasant -- as fine a time as ever to chart plans and discuss ideas (and, if you have spare time, to tidy up). Shopping figures into your day on Friday -- shopping for something with a partner, likely -- and Saturday has you thinking about money. Sunday, your intellectual curiosity may lead you to the library.

WalMart has a nice BIGGER tv for a very good price.....but I have five televisions, and nobody in my family needs one....so should I buy one that has a 5" larger diagonally screen? I am torn.....if I really wanted to pass, it wouldn't be on my mind....we shall see what we shall see....as the week goes on.

I have my show rehearsing every night this week, AND we open and close this weekend, AND at work I have to make sure that the end of year invoicing is done WHILE the finance office is getting new accounting software, AND I have to pay invoices and get our budget down to as close to zero as I can, AND THEN do the fiscal year roll-over with no time because I have performances ALL WEEKEND! :o

The Kevin Hart movies sounds like remake of a French film that BK and I liked way back when called The Intouchables. Do not see a remake. The original is too good to miss.

I went to another Christmas market today. This one in Wurzburg and with my Uncle Herman, who talks a mile a minute. Somehow I managed to understand him most of the time and we had fun. I ate a pickled herring sandwich was very happy.

The stress is manageable. The beer is a help.

It is all mind boggling. Keith was shocked when I told him about Tom not getting an invite for dinner. Of course he has also heard of some of the other ridiculous stories. He also wondered if it is because of the age difference, not that that should matter.

This is fun. DR Matthew I was rather surprised when you took out a pot to melt everything. A glass bowel and a microwave, tried it once years ago and never used a pot (actually I used a double boiler pot when I could) again.

Screeners are sent to guild members at the end of the year for them to see performances, directors, writers, etc. They're DVDS, they're watermarked so they can tell if you sell them, the majority of them are for films that haven't even been released yet, and they have occasional text come up on the screen while you're watching, reminding you that the screener is under copyright and not for sharing.

Making my way through a new 55-CD box of all of Andre Previn's Columbia and RCA albums. It's pretty great so far. I haven't heard most of these recordings.

One of the most interesting pieces on one of the piano only albums where Mr. Previn plays is some piano pieces by legendary record producer Goddard Lieberson. I had no idea he wrote music. He also wrote a novel. Go know. Sadly, the music isn't very interesting.

Now playing, Rachmaninov's first and fourth piano concertos with Leonard Pennario on piano - he's amazing - and Previn conducting. Really spectacular.

I have found out that a girl that played one of my reporters in YES VIRGINIA has been going through a very tough time (news to me). The entire cast (?) gave her a jar yesterday with good wishes written on pieces of paper by the entire cast of our show. Guess who was never told about any of this? It was apparently put together by our stage manager.

Rehearsal went well. We worked some of the transitions between scenes before we ran the show, and we got through it without many goobers. :)

I have two costumes...my regular ensemble outfit, and my Santa costume. That has a little matching capelet.
