Well, you've read the notes, the notes were bloated, and now it is time for you to post until the bloated cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: IMPRESARIO!
-
And now - Dino at the piano.
-
First post after Dino.
-
I’m sorry, George, I must have misunderstood what you were asking.

At work, today is the first payday of the new times of the month that we'll be paid from now on. We used to get paid on the 15th and 31st of each month (or the last working days before those dates, if those days are on weekends or holidays), and now they've been pushed back so that we'll be paid on the 25th and 10th. It really shouldn't be any different. We'll see.
-
And now, to bed.
Have a good day, all!
-
Hello from the Souteast China sea.
-
Today we went to a meeting regarding our upcoming 2 night trip to Angkor Wat. I learned that I should attempt to purchase light weight pants as I will be too hot in my lighter weight jeans. I was tempted to buy some I saw in Hoi An, if only I had known. Very popular are the pants combination with an attached skirt that wraps around them.

Good morning, all!
-
Orchestra reading for Call Me Madam today! I will leave shortly before 10:00.
-
Last night Annabelle, Thatch, and I watched a wonderful PBS interview with Ruth Bade Ginsburg. Now I want to read a biography. She's amazing.
-
DR JohnG, I wanted to see Disney's Christopher Robin, but after seeing the much more factual Goodbye Christopher Robin, which is truly heartbreaking and wonderful, I decided to pass. I cannot recommend the British film highly enough.

I want to see that, too. Eventually.

I ignored Panda Express for years, then one rare day in the mall about a year ago I was hungry and decided it was time to try it. Had the Orange Chicken, and it was delicious. As was whatever I got to go with it, which I forget now. The Kung Pao is of interest for next time.

It's about time to head out to Carroll Studios.
-
If Keith stops coughing we both might get some sleep though that chocolate ice cream I had for dessert might be the real reason I am awake.
-
Oops. I took a deep breath and am now the one coughing ::)
-
No coughing vibes for DR JANE.
-
I am not surprised that MR BK got a royalty check for THE FACULTY - it is on some cable channel almost everyday.
-
TOD:
General Tsao's Beef......
-
Writing vibes for MR BK.
-
Carol review finally posted.
-
TOD:
I love the foods my personal Chinese chef makes for me, especially his dumplings. This week, he made a stir-fry of chicken, shrimp and tofu with plenty of celery, jalapeños and ginger. Made me very happy.

Thanks though poor Keith feels worse than I do.
-
I am on day 11 of this darn thing. At least I felt better during the day
-
I'm up, I'm up - barely - maybe six hours of sleep due to orange chicken not sitting with me very well - not going back there ever.

Every time I order the Kung Pao chicken, they say, "It's spicy with peanuts. Is that okay?" I guess they want to make sure that anyone with a peanut allergy knows that it's in there. I love it. :D

I am home from the reading. Around noon, I started feeling sick, and I left at the 2:00 lunch break. I feel bad leaving Joshie in the lurch, but he's run down from all the work to get this reading ready and he doesn't need to get sick.
-
I guess the stars were aligned because my work team went to Chinese for lunch. I had sashimi, which was significantly waterlogged. People weren’t crazy for what they ordered.

Aligned, and yet misaligned.

True.

Futzed and finessed, and then wrote four new pages. Need some sweet right about now
-
Had Taco Bell - exactly 1000 calories, and that is IT for this day and evening.
-
JohnG wrote a lovely review of A Carol Christmas.
-
Good afternoon.
-
Leonard has had the worst day: first I put him in the carrier. It got worse from there.
-
uh oh.

Leonard has been neutered?

The first thing I do when I get Chinese takeout is remove all the celery

Good evening!
-
Today I saw "The Favourite." It was entertaining and the acting was terrific but it was a little too long, IMO.

Gasp!
-
After all this food talk, I'm going to go pick up Chinese food. I hear chicken with sweet corn soup and bbq pork lo mein calling to me.

Poor guy. I hope he is recovering nicely.
-
I am up, now to get ready for our 9:00am bus to Saigon.
-
Thursday evening greetings! I went this afternoon to the library where my career began for the first Great Decisions discussion of 2019. Who had a great group and learned a lot about global migration.
-
We are in for a doozy of a winter storm over the weekend :P
-
TOD - cashew chicken

Leonard is home. He is resting quietly in the hidey bed in the bathroom.

I brought Thatch home from his foster's apartment a day or two after his neutering. He was so tiny at three months and so frightened.
-
Eight pages, so that's it until after rehearsal, when I'll try to do seven more. I'm in a dialogue-heavy sequence, so it's moving along pretty quickly.
-
I found an old David Cassidy LP in the garage. Thinking about selling it but don't have any idea what I'd ask. I just don't need this stuff anymore - too much of it and I know someone would treasure this. Oh, it's not JUST a David Cassidy LP, it's a promo copy that he gave me on the ship while we were shooting what would be my final episode. Oh, and that's not all - it has a rather amusing inscription from him to me - long and alluding to the two cast members everyone hated from the final season - they all thought they should have made me a regular - two people being Alan Bursky and Ricky Siegel. So, anyone have any ideas? I can put it on eBay, but there's a Cassidy page that someone added me to on Facebook and same with Instagram.

He is still woozy from the anesthesia. So we are wanting to keep him quiet for a couple more hours.

He can feel or act weird, just off and on, for up to a couple of days following the anesthesia. Keep an eye on him and don’t panic if he seems disoriented, doesn’t want to eat, throws up a meal, whatever. It’s all normal. (If you DO panic for any reason, of course call the vet.)
-
Fortunately the boys usually recover more quickly than the girls do.
HEALING VIBES FOR LEONARD!
-
We are waiting for an ok to get off of the ship as there was a bit of a problem with a strong river current and we arrived late.

We were out at a wake tonight, the father of one of the Vixter's friends. The girls gave been friends since they were about 8 or 9. He was only 51, he died of the flu.
-
His widow suffers from a disease that causes blood circulation issues (I don't know the details) but she had to have her left leg amputated above the knee about 2 years ago.
-
It's all very sad
-
Oh, so very sad, Vixmom.

Oh, no! My condolences to his family. :(
-
And now, it's time for me to leave work and eventually go home. I went shopping last night, but I feel like I forgot something, but I just don't know what it is. I hate it when that happens. :P
Anyway, be back later.

Double sad :(
-
We are on our “Highlights of Saigon” tour waiting for the shoppers to rejoin the bus. We stopped at a factory and saw them make eggshell designs, very pretty.
-
Such a sad story, Vixmom. Vibes for the family.
-
Vibes for Leonard.
-
BK, I wish I knew where to direct you on the album. I know several women of a certain age who would love such a treasure, but what anyone would pay is beyond me.
-
It's been a long, long day.
-
"It looks like a disaster. Why wasn't I invited?"
Great quote from Eeyore in "Christopher Robin"
-
We had our volunteer holiday party for the Tobin Center tonight.
-
Let's move on ...
-
Four!
-
It was a potluck. I brought an avocado tomatillo salsa. Five other people brought guacamole. Lots of avocado. Lots of leftovers for me. Oh, well. It'll taste great tomorrow.
-
There were several door prizes and I managed to win one. It included a bunch of barbecue tools, including an instant meat thermometer, as well as a $25 gift card for the grocery.
-
I'll take it.
-
I'm now at home, all too late, and watching the last 40 minutes or so of Christopher Robin.
-
In all the traffic I faced today, I managed to listen to the first quarter of Jack London's Martin Eden, which I'm enjoying thoroughly. It's semi-autobiographical, so there's a lot that rings true, in its way, from the biography I just finished.
-
Rehearsal is done. I'll take about fifteen minutes and then start writing - about six or seven pages to do, but it's all dialogue so I'm hoping I can get through it in ninety minutes and really have some relaxing time.
-
Loved the credits of Christopher Robin, with Richard Sherman singing two songs, more than I enjoyed the movie.
-
Went back to the Forty Guns disc to watch some of the extras. I'm now watching an interview with Sam Fuller's widow and daughter. Fun stuff. Their view of Fuller is very different from film critics'.
-
Good night, all.
-
Gratuitous Post #100!

Congrats, John! That's pretty darned cool.

Our last stop on the tour was the big market with lots of little shops. We were held hostage in side by side shops until we purchased a few items ;D

Good evening.

Seriously?
-
Page four at 11:22 p.m.?
-
Where is everyone tonight?
-
Lately we have been doing better on our posting, but the last few
days evenings, it has been like pulling teeth.
-
My condolences to the family of the vixter’s friend. How truly dreadful.
-
It was a very lovely day in Tacoma today.
-
Not warm, by any means, but certainly sunny.
-
A little over fifteen pages today - that's a good day's writing, presuming I like it tomorrow.
-
Now I should write some notes, because I haven't written enough damn words today.
-
I'll keep 'em short and sweet.
-
Sweet being the operative word.
-
Get me off this damn page.
-
This page has been here too damn long.
-
We need another page.
-
Someone's trying to gaslight me.
-
Page four? Really?
-
Page five? Really?
-
Did anyone watch that ABC “news” special on Monica and Bill? Wasn’t that like twenty years ago? It must be Sweeps Month!
-
Did anyone watch that ABC “news” special on Monica and Bill? Wasn’t that like twenty years ago? It must be Sweeps Month!
I didn't. What's the point??
-
I watched The Orville.
-
Last week, it was JFK Jr. and The Bobbitts. This week it is Monica and tomorrow night, Robert Blake.
-
Wasn’t Robert Blake found not guilty? They keep showing him in an orange jumpsuit that looks like prison garb.
-
I must get to bed. I am not well. Goodnight.
-
More hot posts.
-
Let's do this.
-
Let's do this thing.
-
Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA) is on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
-
I'd never heard or seen her in an interview.
-
She knows her stuff.
-
Stephen just asked her if she's going to run for president.
-
She said, "I might."
-
I have two DVDs that I checked out of the library.
