Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of the Robby Awards, and now it is time for you to post until the losing cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: RIGMAROLE!
-
Wow first after BK?
-
At 8:12 in the am?
-
I have nothing to share
-
I am sorry that you didn't go home with any awRds, but happy you had a good time nonetheless
-
Nice picture from a lastnight, George, it was nice to see a picture of Margo, after all we hear about her she's practically a HHW member herself!
-
Welcome home, vixmom! No burst pipes?
Going to the dentist today to take the final impression for my new lower teeth to join the uppers.
"Are those all your own teeth?" Sure they are. I paid good money for them.
-
Good morning, all!
-
Good morning, DR William F. Orr!
-
I fed the cats and went back to bed for an hour. The pains in my left leg make sleeping difficult. I've been waiting for Annabelle to complain about my restlessness, but she and Thatch seem happy to put up with it.
-
I'm not sure of all my plans for today, but I will definitely go into City Center for the afternoon dress rehearsal of Call Me Madam.
-
BK, I'm happy you had a good time hosting the awards.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Sounds like a thoroughly enjoyable awards show was had by all.

Good luck! Did you go for dentures or implants?
-
Luckily, no burst pipes and a clear driveway

Leg pain be gone vibes for Elmore

I've been debating getting a ticket but my theatre funds really need to be sent to the state of North Carolina
-
While I slept Keith pulled the car up the driveway at 5:00am to be sure he could. I am now safely at the short stay section of the hospital, all checked in and waiting for a nurse. I hope my doctor arrives on time and is ready tp begin at 8:30. At least I am her first patient of the day. I see her name on the board.
-
Our upstairs neighbor offered to take me if we needed 4 wheel drive. I’m glad we didn’t have to wake her.
-
BK, I'm happy you had a good time hosting the awards.
DITTO 😊

The best way to return home.

TOD: Rum raisin ice cream seems to cleanse the palate pretty well, no matter what's been eaten.
-
vixmom: implants all the way. Well, the lower ones are a bridge, because I didn't have enough bone for implants. But I don't have to take them out at night. That's the important thing.
-
Procedure vibes for DR JANE.
No I didn't have to do the prep....they kept forgetting to send the prescription, so I just did the Miralax/GatorAde mixture....it worked fine....but I don't have a full length colon.....
-
Sounds like MR BK had a good evening and made it fun for everyone else....except the TABLE.....
-
Vibes for DR ELMORE.
DR TCB I hope ya get the house!
-
TOD:
Ice Cream......butter pecan and/or vanilla peppermint.....
-
I broiled my hot dogs into submission yesterday. They turned into ten Black Charred lumps....which I ate with cheese. Well not all of them....six are in the refrigerator.
-
Page Two.
-
Maybe I've been away from Hollywood too long to remember, but:
What are the Robby Awards?

That sounds bad enough. Thanks for the vibes.
-
I am home 😊
-
To my very pleasant surprise I did not have any polyps. The doctor complemented me on my colon-lol
-
I am now warming up on the heating pad wanting a nap which I don't think is going to happen.
-
Keith is so sweet, he went to the market befor pucking me up and had a banana, just the way I like it, in the car for me to eat on the way home.
-
Our planned company, driving up from Ashland, wisely postponed due to the weather.
-
Almost done at the dentist. My dentist is cool! He rides a Harley to work.
-
Nice picture from a lastnight, George, it was nice to see a picture of Margo, after all we hear about her she's practically a HHW member herself!
Thanks, Vixmom! I'm glad that the picture came out so well!

Very good news, Vixmom!

Ditto, Two!!

Good afternoon, all.
-
TOD:
I don’t care what they say, I say it with gin!
-
Can i go home now?
-
Good afternoon!
-
I'm not sure of all my plans for today, but I will definitely go into City Center for the afternoon dress rehearsal of Call Me Madam.
Looking forward to seeing this Sunday evening.
-
Just done listening to Beauty and the Beast (Polish sound track) in the car. Stopping at the pharmacy and switching to the German OC of same.
-
I'm up, I'm up - maybe eight, maybe nine hours of sleep.
-
To my very pleasant surprise I did not have any polyps. The doctor complemented me on my colon-lol

Thank you. I thought once you start getting polyps you continue to do so. Often it is nice to be wrong.
-
Now that I have tested the new doctor Keith booked his in March.
-

I am sorry about the section you couldn't do implants but glad the bridge doesn't need to come out.

I meant before your colon surgery, not the last test. Since that prep worked I expect you will continue to do it.

I really wasn't up to looking at them last night. They are nice. I'm sorry there are smudges on the one. The group photo is fun, especially that both you and Margo are in it.
-
I am home from the dress and the babies are happy, not to see me but to be fed as soon as I walked in the door.

Call Me Madam is going to be good, but I wish I liked the show more. I remain apathetic about the score as well; it's no Annie Get Your Gun!
I do like most of Merman's numbers, as well as "It's A Lovely Day Today" and "You're Just in love," but I really dislike the two ballads and I detest "The Ocarina." The young man playing Kenneth, the secretary, is totally endearing. His ballad "Once Upon A Time Today" is really lovely, and it's a song that never registered with me before. I saw the Encores! production 25 years ago with Tyne Daly, and the Goodspeed production around 2000, and I sat through today's rehearsal, thinking I remember nothing about this show!
-
The one time I've seen Call Me Madam was also the one time I saw Merman in the flesh.
This would have been around 1965.
-
.
-
Oh! And look what's coming!

I am not feeling great, mostly due to a sensitive stomach and back pain. We returned early from our walk. Normally I would just live with it but considering the morning figured it was best not to push it.

~~~Feel Better Quickly Vibes for Jane!!~~~
-
Thank you.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Our rain ended and we now have a glorious day! Cool and somewhat windy, but it's always so nice after the rain.
-
I worked on tax prep today, then went to Staples for copies. A number of other people had the same idea. When I got home I realized that I'd missed some things, so I'll have to return tomorrow. Sigh.
-
Lots of people were out, pleased, I think, to see the sun again. Restocking the pantry, I suspect, too.
-
Glad to hear that the Vixes returned to no problems!
-
Glad that Jane's procedure is OVER!
-
Dental vibes to DR Willam F Orr.
-
Glad that Jane's procedure is OVER!
Thank you. I am relieved delaying it over a year didn't matter.
-
TTFN.
-
Getting to the mail place was a nightmare - signals out all over Sherman Oaks and idiot drivers completely unaware of how to deal with it. I had to go out of my way, but I got around all of it.
-
And here you have it. Of course, they don't say what the cause was, which is disgusting.
SHERMAN OAKS, CA — A power outage affected thousands of people in the San Fernando Valley Tuesday afternoon, and authorities don't expect the power to be returned until after 9 p.m.
The power outage is affecting Los Angeles Department of Water and Power customers in the areas of Sherman Oaks, Valley Village, Van Nuys and Valley Glen. Utility officials did not say what cause the outages, and it wasn't immediately clear exactly how many customers were affected.
-
Vibes for Jane.
-
Thanks John. I am starting to feel a bit better. I found out why I take longer to bounce back after a colonoscopy compared to Keith. It seems I have a torturous colon ;D
-
When we lived in Ashland we would call the power company to report our power was out. If they already knew about it the recording would often say why it was out.
-
Happy New Year of the Pig (or boar) the birth year of BK and little 'ol me.
-
Dr Jeanne does this include you? Anyone else?
-
Almost done at the dentist. My dentist is cool! He rides a Harley to work.
Even in this weather?
It was actually quite nice today. Like a Spring day, no wind, sunny and in the high 50s
-
Much nicer than here.
-
Little wind here and the sun shining made for a nice walk. I wish I could have finished it.
-
I can't believe no one has reviewed the new book on Amazon. Oh, wait...
-
Well, I must be off. Tonight is the first of two rehearsals to prepare for a reading of a new musical by one of the writers of Cinder Edna that I was in last year. We'll see how it goes.
Be back later.
-
I forgot I have to go see a little staged reading of some play at the Group Rep.
-
I can't believe no one has reviewed the new book on Amazon. Oh, wait...
;D
-
I am going to read for a few minutes before we watch episodes of "Star Trek: Discovery". We have a few more days to watch it for free.
-
If I don't fall asleep I will return later.
-
I shall now be on my way to see some thing I'd prefer not to see.
-
Wow! That's pretty darned cool!
I'm quite envious -- and glad, for your sake, that it wasn't Happy Hunting.
-
Oh, joy. Inner peace and distraction vibes for BK.
-
Better than a torturous semi-colon.
That's grammar humor. It should go away.
-
Watching That Forsyte Woman with a great cast of Greer Garson, Janet Leigh, Errol Flynn, Walter Pidgeon and Robert Young.
Great source material in Galsworthy's novels. Why is the movie so stodgy?
-
I won't finish it tonight, and I won't care.
-
Surprises me. Shortly after I graduated college, I read all nine of the novels in the Forsyte Saga. I couldn't get enough of them. I might have even gotten involved in a minor car wreck while reading one volume and trying to drive in the rain. The details are slightly hazy.
-
Good night, all.
-
I find it "intetesting" my other two doctors didn't mention it.
The read-through for The Alpha Bet Caper went well.
-
Tonight, we just read through the script, and the composer and the lyricist sang through the songs.
-
Page FOUR? Really?
-
We've been having such lovely posting days, and now THIS?
-
Back from seeing a thing.
-
I have all of five lines.
-
...which is fine.
-
The script is what it is.
-
I wonder if young kids will get it, though.
-
The story is kind of detailed, and (to me, at least) sort of convoluted. :-\
-
But I'm sure that the experience will be fun.
I imagine this is a comedy. Is it a mystery or a heist, or what?
-
It is really cold here again tonight.
-
Tacoma is currently down to 19 degrees.
-
We are expected to drop a few more degrees before morning.
-
Now they are calling for another major snowstorm on Friday.
-
And if that isn’t enough, there is the chance for more snow next Monday night.
-
That is what we get for having an early Spring in January.
-
Page 5
-
Very cold here, too.
-
The play tonight was a staged thing on another play's set - kind of a trial run for a play the theater won't do. English play called Otherwise Engaged - I wish I'd been otherwise engaged, frankly.
Well, it's kind of convoluted, but basically the main character of Halonah is in the fourth grade. She loves letters and imagines that they are a music group called The Alphabetastics (I play the letter P). I don't remember exactly what happens or how, but the letter H disappears, and all the words that have the H sound are affected so that the other letters (the characters) can't say the H sound, so "that" becomes "dat," "hokey pokey" becomes "okey pokey," etc. Anyway, the mystery of where's H has to be solved. Also, Halonah's mother is pregnant and Halonah is eventually going to have a baby sister. That figures into the mystery.
-
Here's the description of Halonah from the script:
Elementary-aged, inquisitive, imaginative and smart, with a vocabulary beyond her years, prone to anxiety and a strong need for order. The Alphabetastics are a performing group that lives in Halonah’s imagination. Letters and their shapes, music, sounds, and words are her bliss, and a source of comfort in her highly desired, well ordered world, and comfort when she becomes anxious.
It's 22°F in Tumwater right now.
How have you not turned into a block of ice yet?
Fortunately, I turned up the thermostat on my bottom floor. Then the heat rises up to my third floor, where I am and have my plug-in fireplace "burning." :)
-
Do you have a big cozy chair, an afghan, and a good book in front of the fireplace?
-
Night.
