Well, you've read the notes, the notes had a bit of turmoil, and now it is time for you to post until the turmoiled cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: ALFRESCO!
-
And now - Dino at the piano.
-
First post after Dino.
-
BK, challenge yourself and try the recipe. it's mostly opening cans and packets.
-
Gee, I hope that George is okay.
-
Well, jan and I managed to get thru pages four and five.
-
Tom, thank you for sharing, now i owe you.
-
Good night, BK.
-
Goodnight, jan.
-
shows what determination can do.
-
'night, Bruce.
-
Okay, maybe I'll be adventurous.
-
Gee, I hope that George is okay.
I'm fine. My mom asked me to order a Jitterbug Smart2 Smartphone (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GS1V652/), and it arrived on Tuesday. I was trying to set it up last nighf, but there were some problems, so it took longer than I expected. I finally got through most of the set-up, but something else went wrong and I'll need to call during their open hours, which are 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., central time. :P
-
Well, jan and I managed to get thru pages four and five.
Thanks, Tom!
-
Well, even though I got the error message during the set-up, the new phone works! I made a call to the phone and it rang! Whew! I'll still call later today, though. I'll need to find out what that's about.
-
CD has been ordered!
-
And now, I'm off to bed.
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, all!
-
My alarm did not ring this morning at 6:30. Or I slept through it. Little Thatch became so frustrated that he woke me by leaping onto the bed, onto me, and then up to the shelf above me, chattering furiously all the way. Then he jumped down and sat in the window, pissing and moaning to the pigeons on the fire escape. I thought it seemed awfully bright outside, so I checked the clockL 7:30! No wonder he was fit to be tied.
-
Last night my colleague Jason sent me the new How To Succeed . . . orchestra parts, so I need to check them out for page turns and other problems over the next couple of days.
-
Good morning, all.

We've made our patrol. Frisky Miss Annabelle had a great time: her tail bristled and she purred at a high decibel. I was going to take her with me to get yesterday's mail but she preferred to dash about the third floor. As soon as she ran to the apartment door, I let her inside and went down for the mail.
-
Thatch has decided that he likes receiving affection, so he's currently climbing all over me for pets and back rubs. He really loves leaning in for neck scratches, and then he runs away. Don't get too close!
-
Annabelle is turning into a lap cat. Every night at 8:00, she crawls into my lap and lies there while we watch whatever we watch. Then she climbs to the top of the book cases to her aerie or to the cat tree for her nightly snooze. As soon as I start getting ready for bed, Thatch jumps onto the bed and picks his sleeping location, although by two or three in the morning he will be curled up next to me. Around three, when the apartment temperature has really cooled down, Annabelle will jump ointo bed so she can bury herself under the blankets with me for warmth. It's a happily crowded sleeping arrangement.

I had a strange dream last night that was partly a TV thriller and partly real. It's vague now, but I was part of a team on Skull Island, which was a shelf of rock that Druids or some early group had hollowed into the shape of a skull, with its eye sockets looking out of the water. The interior of this skull's dome had some power for collecting evil natures of humanity, and it was something like a museum-mall: one area was Nazi, one was Salem witch trials, etc.
The team part of this dream dealt with a young boy and a bomb. Inside this museum-mall was a pit, one side of which was dinosaurs relics and the other side was early weapons and instruments of torture. I had climbed down to the bottom and could not get out. The team had to rescue me and help me climb out. Then we were all assembling in the Salem area and I could see the ghost of a hanged woman. That's when I woke.
-
Good morning, all.

T.O.D.
I don't really go to concerts, but years ago, I did see Neil Diamond at The Forum in Los Angeles.
-
I'm glad it's DR Elmore having the wild dreams this week, and not me.
Mine from during the night is gone, but I fell back asleep for an extra hour this morning, something that almost always results in some kind of weird dream. In this one it seemed to be a tech rehearsal of God only knows what kind of show, and we were on the last page in which the show (or maybe just the act) ends in a very quiet moment with the soprano and a taped musical effect. I was at the keyboard which was set up in the house seats, and I was fumbling with the device that would fade the music, over which I would play the dramatic (but quiet) closing E major chord. It had worked well the first time, but this time I was just fumbling it.
-
Best concert ever! Bette Midler, November 1973, Cincinnati
2nd best: Cleo Laine, 1976, Miami University Artist Series
-
Facebook has been screwed up for two days now. I've got five dogs on the euthanasia list and nothing can be done to promote their rescue, since FB is fucked up royally.

TOD:
Neil Diamond

Elton John
-
It has been many years since I have attended a concert.....the last one was one of the most miserable.....Paul Simon & Bob Dylan......
-
I had the window open yesterday since it was 71 degrees....DR JOHN G - Birdy Barnum loved sitting on the perch at the top of his cage and feeling the warmth and seeing and hearing the birds outside....today it is a bit cool but he is insistent that the window be opened NOW!
Wind is too cool....but now and then I open it for a few minutes....he is pacing on his perch nearest to me giving me hell about it.

Good morning from Las Vegas!
-
I arrived yesterday. Last night I saw the Cirque du Soleil show "Love," which features the music of the Beatles. It was my first Cirque show and I liked it a lot. There was so much going on it was easy to miss something. Some of it is silly, but overall very good. The acrobatics are incredible. And of course it's always great to hear those Beatles recordings.
-
My friend Todd is arriving today. We're seeing Terry Fator tonight. He's the ventriloquist who won America's Got Talent some years ago. I've heard he's great so am looking forward to seeing him.

We just left Ashland after a very enjoyable breakfast with friends.
-
Our trunk is a little fuller for the trip home. We found a few items in the shops that we needed and hadn't found to purchase near us. Shopping is easier when all you need to do is go for a short walk in a small town.

Congratulations, Jane. I’m still adjusting to Daylight Saving Time. I woke up at 1:30 also and managed to get back to sleep.

I just saw peach pie at a rest stop but am too full from breakfast to get it.

I'm up, I'm up - actually I was up just before eleven when the doorbell rang - flowers for li'l ol' me, from Julie Kirgo - what a sweet thing to do.
-
My five free hardcovers arrived - with the matte finish covers but it actually doesn't look terrible. The new stuff will be here next week.
-
Oh joy. We have hit the Portland traffic, 12 miles from home with an ETA of 53 minutes.
-
That's slower than a covered wagon DR JANE.
-
Congrats to MR BK on the Arrival of The Books.

Good afternoon.

Yesterday my new credit card arrived as promised and I spent some time updating all my imbedded accounts. Hopefully, all of them. My new card number should now be well and truly memorized. I used the new card today to buy lunch and it works. Hopefully, that is the end of it.
Oh, my old card had a cute photo of a marmalade cat on it. The new one does, too, but a different marmalade cat and a different pose. Different cat model, I guess. Much more fun than the standard blah card.

Yesterday, from DR Elmore:
DR Jeanne, I think you should write off your credit card charge as a charitable deduction.

An excellent idea! :) I wish my accountants were so creative.

Vibes to all.
TTFN.
-
DR Elmoore, your dream sounds like the beginning of an interesting screenplay. Better get busy!

Well, as seems to always be the case, there's a problem with the book - hopefully they haven't printed or shipped my real order - we send them a LOCKED PDF so they cannot change anything or add anything save for the copyright and ISBN information. And yet some moron added the subtitle on the cover of the book "An Adriana Hofstetter Mystery" to the title page - it was not there on what we sent and yet they added it - and MISSPELLED Adriana with two n's. So, not having THAT. Hopefully, they'll correct in the morning and get the new files where they're going.

I am being driven bonkers by Amazon it won't let me sign in unless I give them theexpiration date of my Amazon credit card. But since I have it linked to my Amazon account and don't use it for anything else I didn't retain the physical card.
And every time I try to use the help or contact us button it insists I sign in

I guess they don't want my money

I guess they don't want my money
That'll learn 'em! ;)

And on that note (F#), I'm outta here.
Be back later.

Amazon should not be requiring any such thing. Vixmom, call their toll free number - you'll get someone from India, of course, and then say immediately without answering anything, "Please transfer me to someone in the United States." They will do so immediately then go from there.

Reading the reviews of the latest revival of Kiss Me, Kate has left me scratching my head. OK, so Kelli O'Hara can't do farce and isn't a natural comedian. Will Chase is a tenor in a baritone's role. And the original was too PC to revive, so they've toned it down. None of which sounds great.
So, why are the reviews all over the board. Some are raves and some mixed to lackluster. I doubt I would see it. I'm not an O'Hara fan.
-
Started Riverdale. I'm enjoying it.
