Well, you've read the notes, the notes waxed enthusiastic about Kritzerland at Vitello's 97, and now it is time for you to post until the 97 cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: CEREBRAL!
-
And now - Dino at the piano.
-
Loved the notes and the What-Ifs and picture, BK!
-
What's new in Tumwater, George?
-
Nice photo and notes, Bruce.
-
And in Tacoma, Tom?
-
What's new in Tumwater, George?
Hi, jan. Not very much. Just same old same-old.
-
And in Tacoma, Tom?
Not much here, either.
-
And her majesty, Queen Neve?
-
How's Nicky feeling, Tom?
-
Nick seemed to be better today. Of course, I gave him his pain medication this morning, which seemed to help.
-
Did you give him a treat in apology?
-
Did you give him a treat in apology?
Oh, you bet.
-
And her majesty, Queen Neve?
Neve is doing well. She's sleeping next to me, right now. :)
-
Good night, my friends.
-
Good night, y'all. :-*
-
Good night, Tom and jan.
-
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, all.
-
First in the east!
-
Congrats to BK & Co. on their hitting-it-out-of-the-park show last night!
-
Good morning, all!
-
My Mac had updates and I did not get to bed before midnight. Then I slept poorly for half the night. Around 5:00 I slept soundly till 6:30. I reset the alarm for 8:00, but I didn't drag myself out of bed till 8:20 or so.
-
Cpongratualtions to BK & Co. on a very wonderful evening!
-
As soon as I was dressed, I cleaned the dishes and litter since Annabelle was itching to get on patrol. Little Thatch was waiting at the door, and as soon as I opened it, he dashed out into the hall. Annabelle strutted out and headed down the hall on her usual promenade, and I carried the litter to the compacter. Coralling two cats will be interesting, I thought, but if Thatch was hot to trot to explore. I thought it was time to confront the situation.
-
Well, the baby ran over to explore the bike of the Class-A jerk across the hall, and I headed around the hall corner yo follow Annabelle when Thatch awkwardly walked back to my door, then started throwing himself at the door, and scratching to get back inside. I opened the door and he ran inside, when Annabelle came running from sown the hall to join him at the door. I would swear she heard his panic telepathically and came to his rescue.
-
I've got the Percussion and String parts of How To Succeed . . . to work on. I hope to finish it all by tomorrow.
-
T.O.D.
I don't think I've ever had a "midnight snack".
Certainly never as an adult.
You think I want to be up all night?
-
Congrats to MR BK & Co. The show sounds great!
-
I would rather see OYKLAHOMA! than the new "rethinking" of the show that is currently on Broadway.....it sounds awful.
-

Good.
-
And her majesty, Queen Neve?
Neve is doing well. She's sleeping next to me, right now. :)
Sweet.

Poor Thatch and I expect Annabelle did run to be with Thatch. We had a cat that always checked on the babies when they cried. She was very protective of them.

-
I enjoyed the notes.
-
When I still lived at my childhood home I recall a few late night snacks at the kitchen table with my brother & sister or my sister and her friend. It was either cookies or ice cream.
-
After I was married late night snacks were at our home with friends who stayed late. Those snacks would hsve been something I baked.
-
I have never gotten out of bed for a midnight snack and agree with DR Druxy.
-
Monday morning greetings! It's a busy AAUW week - branch meeting tonight and book sale Thursday-Sunday.
-
I would rather see OYKLAHOMA! than the new "rethinking" of the show that is currently on Broadway.....it sounds awful.
I would rather see the glorious revival that DR Elmore and I saw together in 1980.
-
I am rather rushed this morning as I have the good fortune of having a lovely lady come clean for us today. I am very grateful as my right arm has been extra bothersome, most of all my shoulder but it extends to my elbow and then to my wrist. I pray I never mess up my left arm.
-
TOD:
Ice Cream.
I received a book in the mail today....which I shall soon read.
-
I don't remember if I ever had a "standard" midnight snack, either when I was a kid at home or in later years.
Nowadays, if I'm hungry late at night, it could literally be anything, including some kind of leftovers. Most often, though, I guess it's some kind of chips (usually tortilla chips) or, when I'm being bad and have any in the house, cookies. The problem, of course, is that there's no such thing as an actual snack portion. My brain might understand that concept, but my stomach doesn't. Just gimme the bag.
-
Good afternoon, all.
-
Congratulations to BK and company.
-
TOD
I used to eat anything on hand. Now I shouldn’t eat after 7 because of my diabetes. But i loved ice cream or cold, leftover fried chicken best of all.
-
A book sighting! Read on, MacDuff.
-
I'm up, I'm up - I was up at eight after five hours of sleep, then finally got another two, so seven hours.
-
Good afternoon.
-
TOD: Ice cream.
-
I am not having a good day.....it deals of course with doctors and insurance and my ostomy supplies dealer....
I talked to them last week when they called and they told me one thing.....they called today and told me another thing....
And I am afraid I went from 0-60 in a very few seconds....and was IRATE....
A few calls later.....I may have things corrected to their satisfaction....maybe....but I am still at about 45 mph.
-
It's always good to get IRATE out of your system and then slow back down to zero for book reading :)
-
I thought I would never get through the Percussion 1&2 books. Only the strings to go.
-
I guess I'll mosey on over to the mail place shortly. I was thinking of making spaghetti here, 8 oz, which is about 800 calories and maybe 1000 with the red sauce, and that's probably all I'd eat so we'll see. The option is Subway, which is right next to the mail place. IF I do that I get a foot long Subway club at 640 calories, and a six-inch spicy Eyetalian at around 450 so it's basically the same calorie count.
-
elmore is drumming along and now he'll be stringing along.
-
Where in tarnation IS everyone?
-
Got a lovely review from Rob Stevens: http://www.haineshisway.com/2019/04/april-fooled-me-reviewed-by-rob-stevens/
-
That is what I am working on MR BK....
-
...still waiting on a telephone reply.....to almost wrap things up....
-
Back from picking up packages and getting the Subway twosome. Unfortunately, I got a brand new gal and rather than supervising her the other workers couldn't be bothered, so getting the sandwiches done was a trial, as she simply had no clew as to the how. I got everything on them, but there's an art to making Subway so that things don't fall out and get messy - she hasn't learned that art yet. And the only "dressing" I get is red wine vinegar and I kept saying more for each sandwich and "more" ended up only being a few drops, so I gave up on that.
-
That was an enjoyable review to read.
-
A book sighting! Read on, MacDuff.
And here's another! Murder at the Magic Castle (http://www.kritzerland.com/castle.htm) has arrived in Tumwater! Thanks for the gifts, BK!

Sorry for vanishing yesterday. I had a glass of wine with dinner and that was all she wrote
-
TOD
These days generally ice cream
-
However assuming I have the ingredients my absolute favorite midnight snack is to slice some extra sharp cheddar onto seeded rye bread, , melt it in the toaster oven, and eat it while it is hot and melty

Did you sleep all night?
-
Eating at midnight is very fattening ;)
-
Well, I need to leave work early, so I shall.
Be back later.

I am aware

;D

Did you sleep all night?
Yep
-
I think it is extremely uncomfortable snacking that late and don't get the appeal. I do understand being hungry at that hour just not eating knowing what I will feel like later.

I am extremely comfortable eating late
-
Also eating early, middle of the day and anytime I am hungry
-
Congratulations to BK on another successful Kritzerland
-
No book here yet
-
I keep getting kicked out of HHW
-
What the hey?
-
Home from a very long day.
-
And I arrived home to find the latest novel from Guy Haines's doppelganger.
-
Thank you for the nice mention in the acknowledgments, Mr. Kimmel.
-
I finished Where the Crawdads Sing (satisfying conclusion) and can now get back to Hotel at the Corner of Bitter and Sweet, which I'm really enjoying.
-
I'm also listening to the overlong The Overstory in the car. I'm hearing the halfway mark and am really enjoying it.
-
Four!
-
The Overstory is a book in which trees play a central part in each of the revolving stories. In some instances, it overlapped with Crawdads in its descriptions of nature.
-
The rains yesterday have stirred up the mold, which is making my allergies kick in.
-
I can't take a Benedryl tonight because I have to be at work an hour early tomorrow.
-
So I hope I can sleep.
-
And I should be headed to bed.
-
Good night, all.
-
Finished with my viewing and listening to music.

I also found it satisfying. I do hope you enjoy Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet even more. From the title alone I had to read this book.

Those were beautiful.
-

I hate mold. I hope it doesn't make you depressed. It can do that.
-
I can't take a Benedryl tonight because I have to be at work an hour early tomorrow.
Have you ever tried taking just half of a Benadryl?
-
DR John, feel better.
-
Tonight we watched the first to episodes of annother old show, new to us, Justfied. I think we are hooked.
-
Um, page four? REALLY?
-
Has anyone here done NutriSystem?
-

Not everyone experiences undesired consequences from eating late in the evening. I've never had any trouble because I ate something late at night. I'm sorry that you do, Jane.
-
Has anyone here done NutriSystem?
I did around 15 or so years ago. I probably lost about 20 pounds but didn't love it. I'm a picky eater and at the time, I got it through Costco and couldn't pick and choose what I wanted to eat. Most of what they offered wasn't appealing to me, at all. :P I know that things have changed, so it's probably a lot better now.

I didn't when I was young but now I can't sleep well on a full stomach.

So, at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts where I usher and work concessions, they instituted a policy that any regular concessionaire who wants to serve alcohol (beer and wine) has to have the Cast 12 Washington MAST Permit (https://aacea.com/wa6/).
-
MAST stands for Mandatory Alcohol Server Training.
-
DR Jennifer I am reading Never Tell.
-
Good evening.
-
T.O.D.
Ice cream is a good choice, but normally if I want to whip up a midnight snack, it would be scrambled eggs or a cheese omelet. Of course in the days when I was out and about and wanting a snack; you can’t beat four tacos from Jack-In-The-Box!
-
Actually, in those days I would probably order six tacos.
-
For some reason, I have been getting a ton of emails regarding this year’s Gay Weekend at Disney World. Good grief, do they have any idea how old I am??
-
We must get off this page.
-
We are way behind for 11:30 p.m.
-
One more post.
-
Page five

All of those sound good, Tom!
-
MAST stands for Mandatory Alcohol Server Training.
The training/certificate costs $21.79 ($19.99+tax) and is estimated to take three hours.
-
It just took me about three hours to go through the on-line "class," and now I need to take the actual test.
-
For the class part, you can leave and come back later, but once the actual test starts, it has to be done in one sitting.
-
I was debating if I wanted to take it now, or review the entire class part again and take it later.
-
Oh, what to do??
-
;)
-
I wasn't hungry 'til you guys started talking food. Now I want everything!
-
Well, speaking of talking food...just a few minutes ago, I had to go "down the hall," as my sister says (but it's actually downstairs for me), and afterward, I went downstairs to my kitchen and had a late night snack. ;)
-
I had a cup of (vegetarian) tomato soup, but I added some sour cream and black pepper and red pepper flakes. Yummy!
