Well, you've read the notes, the notes were HELLish, and now it is time for you to post until the HELLish cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: TOOTLE!
-
And now - Dino at the piano.
-
First post after BK!
-
Today is my family's weekly family dinner...I think. Wednesday is my niece's birthday, so we may skip today's family dinner and just go to the restaurant for her birthday dinner. I'll find out later today.
-
Is George ever going to read a book?
-
Yes or no?
-
Page one? Really?
-
Must go to bed within the hour.
-
I should go now, actually, but I'm enjoying listening to music and I'm about to take some aspirin.
-
Malcolm Arnold's music is so interesting - tuneful, lovely, much like his film music. And I never don't get tickled when I hear A Grand, Grand Overture for vacuum cleaner and orchestra. It's brilliant.
-
You know, I just might get to this milestone today, certainly possible. Someone be ready to screen shot, because it's only about fifty-three posts away.
-
What am I, don't a monologue?
-
Is George ever going to read a book?
Yes, of course! I'm currently reading one book, but have already started on ...Magic Castle.
-
I'm not a fast reader and I don't make time to read for long periods, so it takes me a while to get through everything.
-
That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
;)
-
Don't let him bully you, George, he's just had a crappy day.
And you, Bruce, I know you can be nice so try it.
-
Bruce, how's your head from it kissing the cabinet? No more headache from that?
-
Has anybody tried the wraps at Subway? Are they any good?
-
Don't let him bully you, George, he's just had a crappy day.
And you, Bruce, I know you can be nice so try it.
BK didn't bully me. ;)
-
Has anybody tried the wraps at Subway? Are they any good?
I like them. You get double the regular meat (if there's meat in what you choose). The problem is that when they try to wrap it, there so much stuff that it's difficult for them to keep all the stuffings in the wrap. It's like they try to squeeze it into a smaller wrap area that what's possible. Of course, it all still tastes good, but it tends to be messier than it needs to be.
-
I don't bully. It is not in my nature.
-
I haven't tried the wraps but I know they are more calorie friendly.
-
Head was better until HELL day.
-
I gotta tell you.
-
I think I'll let the aspirin do its job while I finish listening to the second symphony of Malcolm Arnold.
-
I am sorry to hear about your hell day, BK. Vibes today will be better
-
FJL...yes my memory of Lestat is the same, I remember Jose being on the third floor and watching the conductor through a video feed
-
When I was in my early 20's for a short period of time I dated a young man of Italian heritage
-
We used to go you his moms every Sunday for dinner
-
She made homemade pasta... her manicotti was so light and lovely...
-
I dated that fella about a month longer than I should have because of those manicotti
-
Vixdad does not care for Italian food and absolutely refuses to eat any form of pasta so I do not cook it
-
I dated that fella about a month longer than I should have because of those manicotti
Sometimes ya just gotta do what'cha gotta do. ;)
-
Well, Vixmom, I
need want to go to sleep, so I'll say, "Good night."
Have a good day, all!
-
Well, Vixmom, I need want to go to sleep, so I'll say, "Good night."
Have a good day, all!
Good night George
-
We watched THE MULE last night.
It was okay. Not great.
It could have lost 20 minutes.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Indulging in an extended stay in the recliner this morning.
I do, however, have to get up to make a slice of toast or something.
-
I’m afraid I have little else brilliant to say at this juncture.
-
Good morning!
-
I see I have a milestone coming up too. I bet I'll get there within a week.
-
I dated that fella about a month longer than I should have because of those manicotti
Funny, DR vixmom!
-
Good morning, all!
-
DR George I didn't pay attention to the mixed drinks. I saw people with sand buckets and shovels but never asked what they were.
Ok, I found photos of the cool looking lava lamp. I would be willing to take a sip out of curiosity though vodka is not my drink, even with rum in it.
-
Annabelle and Thatch let me sleep really late, with no pestering. Annabelle stayed with me and slept at my knees, and Thatch came and went to and from the cat tree.
-
She made homemade pasta... her manicotti was so light and lovely...
It must have been difficult giving up those meals.
-
I dated that fella about a month longer than I should have because of those manicotti
I was right ;D
-
I had lots of dreams, most of which I no longer remember, but I do remember a long dream about remaking "Father Knows Best" and something about working at Barnes & Noble. I also had a strange dream in which I was in a porn shop looking for a deck of playing cards!
-
You could probably buy such a deck from Ali Hakim, DR Elmore.
-
In 1997, when the New York State Theatre Institute had the release party for the DVD of A Tale of Cinderella, there was a huge party and tons of Italian food from the Italian community around Albany. The musical may have been set in the canals of Venice in some fairy tale time, but the show owed more to the nostalgia of Italian Americans. Every show I worked on for NYSTI involved lots of really wonderful Italian meals. It was a great place to work.
-
You could probably buy such a deck from Ali Hakim, DR Elmore.
I'm not sure I want to go near this new production of Oklahoma!
-
Since I detest this administration and the fat orange slug squatting in the White House, I refuse to be docile about his complete lack of humanity and humility!
-
No more HELL DAY for MR BK.
-
Seeing the condo vibes for DR TCB.

If anyone has a link to the Hardcover version of MAGIC CASTLE, please post it here so I port my review over.
When I search for it on Amazon, only the Kindle edition shows up, so that's where I posted my review. I click on "Show Other Editions of this book" and nothing comes up - it just changes to "Hide Other Editions of this book." Strange.
-
One of my friends from my dinner theatre days is a producer for Come From Away. He's now involved with the new Open Jar rehearsal space at 1601 Broadway:

-
What a great space DR ELMORE!
-
We enjoyed TROJAN WOMEN last night.....it is a thought provoking piece...and the set, costumes, lighting, music, projections, etc were excellent.
Then we had a talk back and I felt preached to - but that's okay....I will be very glad when this current generation solves all of the problems we have since it seems simple for them to do....and I was certainly not aware that when we see a number that represents folks displaced or killed because of conflicts, etc....that those are not MERELY numbers....those are PEOPLE...and we need to think about that!
I am WOKE!

Well that is BIZARRE, DR Jrand68.
I just tried to Tiny it, but something weird happened so never mind that. Here's the full URL:

-
I'm up, I'm up - six and a half hours of sleep.
-
When I search the title the Kindle comes up first but about the hard/soft cover also comes up, just a bit further down the page. I don't know how to tie them together - I think I'll call Amazon later today.

Facebook is having one of its HELL days. the kind in which my news feed seems entirely broken.
It either shows a limited number of posts before reaching the bottom of the scroll, or it shows exactly one post and stops, or it doesn't show anything at all and instead says "Welcome to Facebook, etc."
-
Ha thanks for the links....and indeed it takes me to the HARDCOVER....I scroll down on the Kindle edition....but no other ones show up on my page....weird. Usually the hardcover comes up first in my search, but for this book....nada.
Technology.
Don't bother calling MR BK - I'm sure they will say it's something we're doing.
-
Review is now posted on the hardcover edition. Strange.....maybe it's because I didn't purchase it from Amazon, but that's never been a problem before.
-
Good morning/afternoon.
-
I shall now be on my way to do a workshop.
-
Good morning/afternoon.
Well, hello, Handsome!

Possible new condo home.
-
Good morning/afternoon.
Well, hello, Handsome!
Why, thank you, sir!
-
I did not sleep well last night.
-
Or perhaps I should say I didn't sleep much.
-
Nice new avatar DR TCB!
-
That's a nice design DR TCB - it seems that it would have a lot of privacy.....
-
Workshop vibes for MR BK.
-
Living room with gas fireplace.
-
Yes DR CHAS SMITH - Facebook Hell Reigns today.
-
I must go for Thatch's turkey, and then I have no more plans for the day. Annabelle and I may watch more of Hercule Poirot.
-
Good luck with the condo, DR TCB!

It worked with this link and has been submitted.

Great new avatar DR TCB.
-
And nice new looking condo. It is the downstairs and all one level, correct?
-
Nice new avatar DR TCB!
Thanks, Jack.
-
Great new avatar DR TCB.
Thanks, Jane.
-

That is correct.
-
I must jump into the shower.
-
One more post.
-
Page 4
-
Good luck on the condo selection, TCB!
-
Well, it is stunning outside today. The populace seems to have taken the weekend off. The buses are empty, the traffic is nil, and I guess everyone has gone off to the country for the weekend.
-
Nice photo, TCB!
-
Nice condo too!
-
It is lovely out niw
-
This morning it was raining like crazy
-
I got up around 8:30 got dressed and ironed the church linens
-
Saturday afternoon greetings! I’m home from today’s shift at the AAUW book sale, where we had more workers than customers. And I skipped a paper crafting get together because I thought the book sale was going to be shorthanded. Oh, well.
-
Then I went to church where I was quite pleased to find 4 ladies waiting tohelp me strip the palms
-
Possible new condo home.
Very nice!
-
Once that was done and they were separated into bundles for each of the four services and the ladies left
-

DR ChasSmith, I’ve been having that same trouble off and on for a while now. Glad to know it’s not just me...
-
Then I polished the silver and brass chalices and set the altar for tonight's service
-
The bell choir was just finishing their rehearsal so I had some lovely musical accompaniment
-
Then the brass choir had their rehearsal while I polished the brass altar railings
-
So more musical accompaniment which was very nice
-
Then I headed out and filled the car with gas
-
Vixdad mentioned this morning that he thought I needed a new set of tires
-
It occurred to me that except for one, these were the original tires from when I bought it in 2009
-
BJs has reasonable tire prices and a free repair and or replacement policy for fiats
-
Plus they had a $100 off a set of 4 coupon
-
So I wentto BJs and $596.00 deeper in debt I called Vixdad to pick me up and take me to lunch since I was quoted 60 to 90 minutes for installation
-
Plus I hadn't eaten yet
-
We went to the new Red Robin that opened a couple of miles away a couple of months ago
-
We had never been to one before
-
I was expecting something along the lines of McDonalds or Burger King
-
We'll be back on salads tonight
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Very nice new avatar, TCB! Great photo.
-
Condo-buying vibes to TCB. I hope you find someplace where you'll be very comfortable.
-
Vixmom, I think $600 for four tires is very reasonable.
-
I like the repair/replace benefit, too.
-
DR Ginny, do you find yourself compelled to buy books at these book sales?
-
Last night DR John G asked if he'd like WINTER SOLSTICE.
All the characters have suffered major losses and are often forced to make significant changes, but they meet new people and make new friends and come through it all. It's a story of great warmth. Ms Pilcher is a fine writer, the characters are well drawn, and the story moves along nicely.
Do I think you'd like it? Yes.
-
I did some laundry and will soon begin some cleaning.
Brian is busy working two jobs and doesn't have time right now to help me.
-
DR Ginny, do you find yourself compelled to buy books at these book sales?
Yes, we’re our own best customers ;)
-
I'm sure I'd be buying, too.
-
Good luck with the condo TCB
-
Lovely new avatar, Tom
-
Have a good weekend, everyone.
TTFN.
-
I was expecting something along the lines of McDonalds or Burger King
You thought it was a drive through restaurant ;)
-
I’ve been good this year - only 4 books and 2 pristine jigsaw puzzles. And I might make cards out of one of the puzzles.
-
So, we’re about to go admire the progress Mary Linda and her parents are making on the house and to take them out for dinner.
-

I have read a few of her books. I don't recall if this was one of them.
-
DR Jane, to answer your question from last night, yes, Adam and Linda are staying here - upstairs with the kids.
-
I was expecting something along the lines of McDonalds or Burger King
You thought it was a drive through restaurant ;)
We did
-
I thought about getting the impossible burger
-
But in the end decided to get a possible one instead

Don't expect me to achieve it today
-
Much church work for DR VIXMOM today - you would think there was a holiday coming up or something.
-
Switching back and forth between tennis and hockey - watching that is - not Playing!
-
Back from a fun workshop - eight or nine folks, so better than last time. Some interesting breakthroughs today, always fun.
-
No mail or packages - new delivery person who hasn't gotten the message that he needs to do the UPS Store early, not late. I may go back later if there's anything there.
-
Stopped at Gelson's and got ingredients for my faux chicken stroganoff over rice.
-
Came home and rustled up the food and am currently eating, listening to music, and writing liner notes and the blurb for our announcement.
-
Page five? Really? Shouldn't we be on page 105?
-
Only thirty-seven more posts until the milestone. And that will happen by this night.
-
I has spoken.
-
Very full.
-
Page six? Really?
-
Tonight's viewing - the B'way musical entitled King Kong. I'm sure I'll LOVE it so much :)
-
VERY full.
-
Thirty more posts to the milestone.
-
I wouldn’t be able to capture it till midnight or later, eastern.
George?
-
I was expecting something along the lines of McDonalds or Burger King
You thought it was a drive through restaurant ;)
We did
Funny. There is a Round Robin here we have never gone to. In one of the various towns we would stop for the night, during our many drives to Los Angeles, there was a Round Robin a short walk from the hotel. We ate there several times.
-
Red Robin
-
But in the end decided to get a possible one instead
You might have eaten less if you got the Impossible burger ;)
-
Even if you hadn't eaten less, "a quarter-pound beef patty has around 290 calories, 80 milligrams of cholesterol, and 23 grams of total fat, the quarter-pound Impossible Burger has 240 calories, zero cholesterol, and 14 grams of total fat. ... "
-
King Kong The Musical.....I was hoping I would never see such a thing in my lifetime......
-
I am leaving in a few minutes to go with two of my sisters to hear my brother's bank 4Score play at the Greencastle Elk's Club.....
It is the least I can do.....I hope NOT to have a terrible time....I may enjoy the company anyway....and hopefully this time I will hear some of the music.
-
We had the Beyond Burger in Hong Kong. Keith liked it and I could barely eat it. I don't know if I would like a beef burger anymore. Still I would like to try an Impossible burger and compare.
-
At least I am still WOKE from the TROJAN WOMEN talk back.
-
Good luck tonight DR Jrand.
-
When we walk along the river there are a few tall poles with platforms for the Osprey to nest. There is only one along our section of the river and it gives everyone great joy to watch the Osprey nest and to see the babies. Today a huge log took out the pole :(
This year two Canada Geese had nested in it. I guess it is better that eggs and not babies were in the nest.
-
I'm still full. The mail guy never got to the UPS Store today and now they are closed. You can bet I will make a call on Monday morning, oh, yes, you can bet. Is not acceptable that some moron doesn't get to a place of business by five.
-
Keith fixed our annoying screeching toilet. :) :) :)
-
Every time we flushed it there was a terrible high pitched screech.
-
I kept meaning to Google the problem but once I left the room I would forget about it.
-
Today when I mentioned that Keith kind of chuckled to himself, and then went and googled it. To his surprise he found the fix.
-
Our water level was too high. He just kept reducing it until the screech was gone.
-
I will no longer have a painful high pitched noise, kind of like fingernails on a chalkboard, in my sensitive ears :)
-
Wasn't that exciting.
-
Good evening.
-
I had a lovely day today. Lots of butterflies out.
-
King Kong The Musical.....I was hoping I would never see such a thing in my lifetime......
That would be a great Outside the Box episode.
-
Speaking of flushing and high-pitched noises, I have finished act one of King Kong.
-
Jane, I hope you get the screeching problem fixed.
-
And I also am in awe at your so effectively getting that to work so well over eight posts.
-
I'll be studying that all the way to page 7.
-
Back.
Just one more. Tomorrow's matinee is all that's left.
-
And BK still has 28 to go, so I'm calling it a night! :)
-
Twenty-seven to go.
-
I have to take a break before watching the final tweny minutes of Kong. I can use one word without giving anything away: Relentless.
-
Well, to make a long story short; the condo was near perfection.
-
So, the offer has been completed and sent.
-
Wow ,Tom! That's exciting!
Sending Offer acceptance vibes, my friend!!
-
Now I need to buy that cookbook, “400 Top Ramen Recipes”
-
Wow ,Tom! That's exciting!
Sending Offer acceptance vibes, my friend!!
Thanks, my friend.
-
Good evening, all.
-
Exceptionally busy day. First Fiesta event was selling beer at the Fiesta Oyster Bake. No oysters, however, because the refrigerator truck broke down and the contents were destroyed. By the time I left, they hadn't received a new shipment from the coast.
But I had bacon-wrapped quail on a stick and chicken on a stick as well as an ear of corn.
-
They had lots of things on sticks: steak on a stick, sausage on a stick, shrimp on a stick, even chocolate-covered strawberries on a stick.
-
Excellent new avatar, TCB.
Many vibes on getting the condo.
-
Watching a creaky old thing called When Irish Eyes Are Smiling with Dennis Morgan. it's billed as Warner Bros.' Jubilee of Joy. In the first half hour, joy has been greatly lacking.
-
Kong est mort. And so is the musical.
-
Went to Gelson's - needed a sweet - really needed a sweet.
-
Did Kong get a solo number?
-
Listening to music and having a sweet. One thing about Mr. Sarde - he does recycle - I mean I'm listening to a theme from some French film - great, except he used it all over again for The Manhattan Project.
-
I need some sleep.
-
Good night, all.
-
Sweets have been eaten - a few too many and I may have to throw up on the ground.
-
Thankfully this was not a HELL day.
-
Where in tarnation has everyone got to?
-
Under twenty posts to the milestone. I suppose I'll have to look up how to screen shot it, but I think I'll just make it right around when I post the notes - someone is usually here to do it.
-
Let's get some late-night postin' goin' on.
-
Red Robin
Yes, Red ;D
-
I spy a George.
-
I spy a BK.
-
I spy a Jane.
-
I spy a milestone.
-
I had a lovely day today. Lots of butterflies out.
Nice 😊
-
I spy page eight.
-
I spy.
-
Speaking of flushing and high-pitched noises, I have finished act one of King Kong.
;D
-
Jane, I hope you get the screeching problem fixed.
All fixed though with less water pressure the tank takes longer to fill.
-
And I also am in awe at your so effectively getting that to work so well over eight posts.
Thank you ;D
-
Tonight we watched an episode of JUSTIFIED. I wish we had watched it when my brother kept taking about. On the otherhand we really didn't need more shows to watch back then. The timing is better now.
-
We then watched THE ORVILLE. There is only one more episode this season.
-
DR TCB is there an update on the condo?
-
Does the condo have an attached garage?
-
CONDO VIBES FOR DR TCB!
-
I am afraid I cannot stick around for BKs momentous milestone
-
It's already been tomorrow for an hour and a half and I have a busy day and early start tomorrow
-
Goodnight
-
Thirty more posts to the milestone.
I wouldn’t be able to capture it till midnight or later, eastern.
George?
I'm ready and able!
-
All right then, let's take this home.
-
Eleven posts.
-
Ten posts.
-
Had a nice telephonic conversation.
-
And then I wrote...
-
Heard from the David Cassidy people - they loved my little video, so that's good. There was some pretty amusing stuff in it.
-
Are you ready George?
-
What a momentous moment.
-
I think I ate a few too many sickly sweet sweets.
-
And here it comes.
-
Right about now.
-
Look at that milestone. That's what I'M talkin' about.
-
Are you ready George?
Captured it! Just have to format it. Hang on. I'm on my tablet.
-
When you click on it, it's huge!
-
PAGE NINE BK's 99000th POST DANCE!!
-
Congrats, BK!
-
Good! Now we can head toward the biggie of biggies.
-
How can it be eleven o'clock already?
-
King Kong, sans intermission, is just under two hours but it seemed longer than Ben-Hur.
-
I do love that Ann Darrow in 1932 is a "woke" woman of color who spouts "woke" things, sings a lovely ballad about Kong being in chains and her understanding what that's like - I'm not making this up. And she ends the show with a power ballad that is one of the worst things I've ever heard. And the songwriter is named Eddie Perfect. I rechristen him Eddie Anything-but-Perfect.
-
King Kong, sans intermission, is just under two hours but it seemed longer than Ben-Hur.
Yikes!
-
And now, to ketchup on the posts.
-
This has been what we in the show business call a healthy posting day.
-
Good evening.
-
I doubt I will be able to sleep tonight?
-
The Seller has to respond by 9:00 p.m. on Sunday night.
-
So I guess, one way of another, I will be able to sleep tomorrow night.
-
DR George I didn't pay attention to the mixed drinks. I saw people with sand buckets and shovels but never asked what they were.
Ok, I found photos of the cool looking lava lamp. I would be willing to take a sip out of curiosity though vodka is not my drink, even with rum in it.
Jane, the sand bucket with the shovel is The Bucket (https://www.therockwfp.com/menu/#beverages). The Classic version has five different kinds of rum and is Margo's favorite drink from there. And the Lava Lamps are available with either vodka or rum, not both.
-
When I first heard of them, they only had one kind of Bucket (with 5 kinds of rum) and one kind of Lava Lamp. I don't know which was the original Lava Lamp, though.
-
So I guess, one way of another, I will be able to sleep tomorrow night.
Good luck, Tom!
-
Does the condo have an attached garage?
No garage. I do get a covered parking stall.
-

I have that DVD! :D

That's nice.
-
When you click on it, it's huge!
Congratulations!

No garage. I do get a covered parking stall.
I have a garage, but I don't can't park in it. It's just storage. ::)
;)

Nice new avatar, Tom!
-
Possible new condo home.
That's great, Tom! As are the other pictures!

Where is it? Is it very far from where you live now?
-
Good luck!!

Well, it is stunning outside today. The populace seems to have taken the weekend off. The buses are empty, the traffic is nil, and I guess everyone has gone off to the country for the weekend.
It's been raining almost all day, here in Tumwater.

Vixmom, I think $600 for four tires is very reasonable.
I paid about $360 (on sale) for my Michelin 80,000-mile tires at Costco. ::)

Does the condo have an attached garage?
No garage. I do get a covered parking stall.
I have a garage, but I don't can't park in it. It's just storage. ::)
;)
Storage? That is why I am getting a condo with three bedrooms.

Thanks. I thought vodka & rum was a steange mix. I saw 2 buckets on a table and watched to see if the people were going to drink or eat out of them. I didn't see either. I saw they were aready done with those huge drinks.

Covered enough to stay dry while getting in and out of your car?

And you get to bring the bucket home with you. They'll rinse them for you, too. I have six of the Lava Lamp cups!

Three bedrooms! What do you have now, 1 bedroom?

When we walk along the river there are a few tall poles with platforms for the Osprey to nest. There is only one along our section of the river and it gives everyone great joy to watch the Osprey nest and to see the babies. Today a huge log took out the pole :(
This year two Canada Geese had nested in it. I guess it is better that eggs and not babies were in the nest.
That's too bad. I wonder if they'll replace the pole. :-\

As the crow flies, it is closer to you; but it is on South Hill Puyallup, which you said you don’t where that is.

Heard from the David Cassidy people - they loved my little video, so that's good. There was some pretty amusing stuff in it.
Cool!

I did wonder as the buckets looked very clean.

Probably not if the wind is blowing the rain sideways, but normally, yes.

We hope so. First the need to know and we don't know who to tell.

That darn wind is a nuisance.

I currently have two. My bedroom and Nicky’s bedroom bathroom.

And if worse comes to worse, they are just finishing a new storage place right across the street from the condos.

The last time I lived in South Hill Puyallup (at the end of the last century), the area where the condos are was just farm land and forests. Now, the whole area is built up out there. I would be about two blocks away from Wendy’s!!
-
Hi, jan, I didn’t know you were here.
-
Just got here, Cutie. Nice picture. Didn't recognize you at first.

There are areas around here that were just empty land a few years ago and now are nothing but housing. I guess that that can be a good thing. And we need a Wendy's here in Tumwater!

George, if you so many lava lamp cups, when's the party?

Thank you. Funny thing, I always hated my senior high school picture because I looked like a 50 year old insurance salesman. This new avatar is from my 50 year high school reunion; and now I look like a 68 year old insurance salesman.

Have you ever gone to the
Puyallup Washington State Fair?
-
If you have a party, I'll bring lots of food.
-
When is the state fair? I love fairs but ours has gotten too commercial. It's all sales booths.

The state fair is 21 days in September.
-
The Fair used to have really big names for the grandstands shows, but now it is almost all rock groups and country artists. Usually I have never heard of most of them.

We're so close we may as well go all the way.
