Well, you've read the notes, the notes were in the key of B, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they refuse to sing it in the key of B - they like a bouncy C.
-
And the word of the day is: BUOYANT!
-
First post after BK!
-
So jan, what are your hobbies and interests?
-
I was just about to post this but the day got locked:
George, any comments?
I've never travelled by myself. I'd never say never, but I don't have a great interest at this point in my life.
-
I enjoy cruises by myself. You can be as social or as anti-social as you like, because you can always retreat to your cabin.
-
A Question for BK: do you have an idea of about how many commercials that you made over the years?
-
Why not go visit your friends who moved to Utah?
-
Why not go visit your friends who moved to Utah?
That sounds like a plan.
-
Hobbys: reading, needlework, crossword puzzles, mostly solitary pursuits since I'm usually alone.
Interests: various ethnic foods, languages tho I'm completely failing at learning Thai from my sister-in-law (I only know 2 words).
I like learning about other countries and customs. Trivia.
-
I would but they've only been there a couple of weeks and I don't want to intrude.
-
What cruises have you been on, Tom?
-
I'm falling asleep so I will say good night.
-
What cruises have you been on, Tom?
Wow, I have been on a lot of them. Several Caribbean cruises, a South America cruise, a 28 day Oient cruise from Singapore to L.A., a couple Mexican cruises, a Panama Canal cruise, two transatlantic cruises; and my most memorable cruise was out to the site where the Titanic sank.
-
Good night, jan.
-
I am fading, too. Good night, George.
-
Good night, jan.
-
Good night, Tom.
-
I'm off to bed. Today, my sister's boyfriend and I are finally going to pick up a desk that my mom bought from a friend of hers. We'll meet at my parents' house, get the desk, move it, then I'll go back to work.
Have a good day, all!

Lookie I found! I've been trying to find this for years but tonight I searched it a different way and it came right up. Shot in 1983. Anyone who knows me knows I HATE milk - so you can imagine what the final shot of this must have been like for me - six takes, and at the end of take six I turned to the camera and said, "Holy shit, I've topped off." Luckily they had it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fiZtVmjwC8k

DR TCB thanks for the welcome home. Now to deal with the most difficut part of traveli g through time zones, readjusting.
-
I feel like I am coming down with a cold. The air on tne last flight home bothered both of us.

I don’t think i ever saw that one. Thanks for sharing.

Good morning, all.
-
Not ready to face the day.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I may have a lunch date with my friend Terry, if his work schedule permits.
-
Otherwise I will work on the Act II scores of How To Succeed . . . Yep, it's almost finished.
-
I have no other news this morning. Maybe later.
-
Good morning, all.

At the end of take six I would have turned to the camera, and before I could get a word out, projectile-vomited those six glasses of milk over everything and everybody.
(As a kid I loved the sweetened milk on cereal, drank milk with cookies (providing there were enough cookies for the amount of milk), and I generally liked chocolate milk. But neither my sister nor I could stomach the taste of plain old milk...from day one to the present.)
-

Terry Lee?
(He was so damned nice, and helpful, the one time I spoke with him on the phone, that I look forward to having a good reason to call again sometime.)
-
Darn, I never went back to sleep.
-
DR Jan I have never traveled alone except to visit friends or family. I know many si gle people who travel alone, either completely on their own or with small group tours. They meet people and enjoy themselves very much.
I suggest looking into a few options to see if they appeal to you. What trips have you done in the past with friends?
-
No cold vibes for DR JANE.
-
Fun commercials!
I could not drink the milk either.....could not.....
-
Ah Isuzu stopped selling cars in the US in 2009....I hadn't seen any around or commercials for awhile.....
-
They still make trucks and light commercial vehicles.....
-
So.....did Emma win last night on Jeopardy?

This evil bitch should be forced to watch Au Revoir Les Enfants in a continuous loop for the rest of her miserable life.

Came into work to learn one of colleagues at work died yesterday. No news on what happened or why. I worked with him on several projects, including one biggie currently under way. Big shock.
-
I’m hearing it was a motorcycle accident.
-
And I just got enlisted to play a funeral on Friday. (No one related or known.)
-
Sorry to hear about your coworker, DR JohnG.

I'm so sorry!
That's always an awful surprise. Around 1990, I got a call one morning the The Drama Book Shop to tell me that our 74-year-old cashier Page Edwards, who had not shown up for work that morning, was found dead in his apartment. I cried the rest of the day. He was a wonderful gentleman.

No cold vibes for DR JANE.
Thank you. I cannot be sick this month.

:(
I hate that Bryan has a motorcycle. At the same time I am proud of him for restoring a classic motorbike.
-
Because I was too fat ::) my mother forced me to switch from whole milk to non fat. I hated it. My father would help drink my glass of milk down when my mother wasn't looking ;)
Eventually, by slowing reducing a milk of whole and non fat to all non fat I got used to it. Now I can't tolerate drinking anything but non fat, unless it is hot chocolate.
I am grateful to my mother as I loved drinking milk and the amounts I drank would have been rather pound producing.

Seconded!

Emma did indeed win her second game last night....again I shall be at rehearsal so I will not see her play tonight....

We got some photos of the 92nd Street Y show. Chase Brock recreated David Winters' choreography from Hullabaloo for the Batman theme.

Round Two!

Wednesday afternoon greetings! Today I had an intense shopping experience at Talbots, but came away with some nice things for our upcoming trip to Washington, DC. I just with the sizes we’re smaller...
-
DR John G, I’m sorry to hear about your co-worker.
-
Isn’t this what I said yesterday?
-
Good afternoon/evening.
-
John, what shocking news about your co-worker. My condolences.
-
George's (and my) friend, Chris who is Artistic Director just found this photo in the archives. It is from Noel Coward's HAY FEVER, which opens again at TLT on Friday, minus me.
-
Nice photo, DR TCB!
-
Hello, everyone.
-
Glad that Jane and Keith's trip went so well. Very nice anniversary present!
-
Congrats to DR Ginny on her new car! Is it blue as in the picture?
-

I quite agree. I used to do a lot of business travel and am quite used to traveling solo. I've taken a number of cruises alone, too, and meet some very nice people. In fact, it's a great way to meet people. Everyone's on vacation! (Well, passengers, anyway.)
You needn't live in the same town as your travel companions. I used to have a friend who lived in Canada. We would meet up in Ft Lauderdale and take cruises. I met her on a cruise and we became great friends.

I hadn't seen this, either, and really enjoyed it, especially BK The Ham at the end.
You do like ice cream, right?

So sorry to hear about your work friend, John G. Yes, I'm sure it was a shock.

Back to cruises:
You can often ask for a roommate or to be seated with other women. Many women travel with sisters or female friends. There is often a table just for women.
On one cruise, aforementioned friend and I took a woman who was traveling alone under our wing. We'd meet up for the various shows in the evening and also say hello and make sure she was welcome to join us. She and I stayed friends until her passing.
She, in turn, met a boyfriend on that cruise. They were both in their seventies. We later learned that he had a wife who was ill and thus stayed in the cabin for several days!! That cruise gave us a lot to talk about for a long time!

No sense of loyalty to her students? Makes you wonder why she became a teacher.

I went to the hairdresser today. Another senior who I've met there before was there today and we were swapping stories of how to cope with the many "joys" of aging. My hairdresser admitted that he schedules people according to who gets along!
-
As soon as I walked in, Diane said, "I wanted to tell you..." I didn't even realize it was her in the chair. Last time I'd recommended Closys mouthwash. She and her husband tried it and were both impressed. Much better reports from the hygienist.
We seniors do like to talk about our health issues!
-
Then on to my favorite food store. No almond croissants. But they had the Daiya ice cream that I so love. I'm going to suggest that the salad bar near me stocks it. They have a freezer case.
-
I met with my tax accountant yesterday. I think I may have finally resolved this very troublesome tax issue, but it took a LONG time and a great deal of time on my part. Gawd!
-
TTFN, folks.

Of course, the definition of "fat" is quite relative. ;)

Well, I was busy today, but now get to leave work.
-
I don't get to go home right away, though.
-
My sister wants me to come over and go shopping with her to get some stuff for her daughter's new chicken coop.
-
My niece is raising chickens for eggs.

The chickens, however, will NEVER be eaten.

They will live a normal life, then hopefully die of old age.
Be back later. But before I go...

For someone who has never been fat I sure was told that I was often enough. Kind of funny, my same stomach that people felt it ok to comment on as being too fat suddenly received loads of compliments for being small after having children ;D

We just watched THE LONGEST DAY.
Hadn't see in for about 10 years.
Still a terrific movie.

Good evening.
-
I spent the day up north. It was nice.

You are obviously not talking about the Adam Sandler remake.

DR Laura, any particular location?

So, in addition to the news about Justin, Justin's boss' boss announced that it was her last day with the company.
-
I was ushering for Derek Hough tonight and Sonia, Justin's boss, came in with her husband. Said she needed something else in her life and she had bought the tickets two months ago. I just gave her a hug.
-
So, in addition to the news about Justin, Justin's boss' boss announced that it was her last day with the company.
It seems sudden to announce a departure on the same day.
-
Derek Hough was excellent. He danced for about two hours, sang quite a few songs and was a great showman. He had seven backup dancers who were also really good. In addition to excellent choreography, he had excellent staging in terms of lighting and a simple but effective two-tiered set to dance on.
-
Earlier, he hosted 150 people at a meet-and-greet, the prices of which started at $350 and went up to close to $1,000. My 1% friend bought the four $1,000 tickets that were sold. It included first in line for photos, then each got to have a private dance with Hough in his dressing room. I think they were happy.
-
The meet-and-greet itself was different because Hough answered questions for an hour and even played a little piano for the group. He was very entertaining.
-
Then he did another meet-and-greet after the show in which he autographed posters and posed for photos. This one only cost $50 but you could buy tickets immediately after. So, all those besotted ladies (and more than a few men) in the audience who loved all of his topless numbers could get up close to his sweaty self.
-
So, in addition to the news about Justin, Justin's boss' boss announced that it was her last day with the company.
It seems sudden to announce a departure on the same day.
Her departure was a foregone conclusion.
-
Five!
-
So, I have a fresh peach and dried cherry pie in the oven. It looked really good, even if the peaches were kind of hard. I think the sugar, butter and baking will handle that.
-
Meanwhile, I'm watching the second to last episode of Les Mis. Elmore, please ignore it.
In episode four, Jean Valjean became a superhero and the show turned into an action picture. Dreadful.
David Oyelowo is actually the best actor in the cast.
I'm only watching it now to see how bad it will get.
-
The revolution is getting ready to happen.
-
I don't know where this day went or even what it was or what I've done. Well, I did sleep until noon - eight hours of sleep, but then I don't know what went on. Crazy. Finished with my viewing.
-
What happened to today?
-
What about today?
-
I must make up for lost time.
-
Trying to figure out if I want to go get some salad to snack on.
-
I know I don't want milk.
-
I shan't have milk.
-
I will NOT have milk.
-
Okay, I'm going to get some salad because if I don't I'll make something too fattening here, like rice and butter.
-
Be right back.
-
Also, I'll be left back.
-
I don't want to be left back so I'll be right back.
-
Very soon.
-
The chickens, however, will NEVER be eaten.
Of course not. I wish I could purchase eggs from her.
Well, if you're in the area once the hens start laying eggs and heading home, I'm sure that my niece wouldn't mind giving you some...at my request. ;)
-
Good evening.

-
I can’t wait!! It has been twenty years since I have had my own washer and dryer.

I got a good deal (I hope) because the salesman knows my sister and brother-in-law.

Hi, George.

I can’t wait!! It has been twenty years since I have had my own washer and dryer.
Congrats on the new purchase, Tom!

Surprisingly, my Utah friends called today and want me to come visit. They have set up my own bedroom and bathroom. They want me to fly to Las Vegas where they will pick me up and drive me to their house in Toquerville. Yeah, I never heard of it either.
