Tonight I am taking Tracy out to dinner for her birthday, and then we are going to see the Junior version of LE MIZ. I will be interested to see how they handle certain parts of the show.
I am not feeling well. Good night.
Loved reading the tale of the vixter and vixhusband!

I agree. Great stuff.
Nice VIX story.
Yes DR JANE my headlights were about the same. It is so nice to be able to see the entire ROAD - especially the right side - when driving at night.....
Continued vibes for DR JEANNE and DR GINNY.
A delightful tale, vixmom. I remembered meeting him at the Metropolitan Club when we all met there to see Sandy Bainum, but I don’t think I ever knew the Florida history.
More and more empty stores on the Upper West Side; it looks more like it did in 1980, without all the dirty sidewalks.
I could have gotten about 10 posts out of the love story....sorry BK

I am glad you found a fix for your lights and are now driving safely, you too Vixmom.
I had a couple of A&T tales to think about, so I did those this morning. and I finally had some breakfast: an omelette with Virginia ham, cheese, and salsa. It was quite tasty.
I forgot, When I step out to the market, I need to stop at a DMV approved vision place and inquire about a vision check for my new drivers license.

I read that as AT& T first... I thought you were writing about your cell phone provider!

Get an appointment at the DMV...it's much better than just showing up

I was surprised to hear that. The economy has been doing OK overall, but the tariffs have really hurt many businesses. NY stores--that surprised me.
Page Three....
DR VIXMOM - I think you will be surprised the next time you drive in the dark....well...you know what I'm talking about.

I received my new drivers license...it was carefully encased in a paper with the words Drivers License Photo Identification printed in bold black letters, easily read through the exceedingly thin paper of the envelope.
Glad to know NYS is doing their best to accelerate identity theft
I meant eliminate of course
The picture on the license is actually quite nice though.
In my last one I looked like Carol Kane in the Princess Bride
Hello, everyone.
Thanks for your continued vibes. They are working and I am improving.

I made the same mistake.
Crazy day. It's 103 outside and I have to go out and do some necessary garden work for a short time.
I just made the brine for the olives and filled the jar with it as well as two cloves of garlic and some lemon slices.
They're supposedly going to be ready to eat in four days.
My neighbor downstairs graciously offered to help with laundry as soon as he heard about the surgery. He did a load for me today. That was a load off my mind, as I don't like to get too far behind.
And then, feeling stronger, he escorted me down the stairs and I drove to the nearby salad/sandwich/soup/juice bar for a few provisions. TA DA!
I am now fed and ready for a nap. I'm in for the day. Success!

Exciting.

I will not complain anymore that it is only 69 degrees.
I have been sneezing all day

I have now been told the wait is more like 30 days. Oh, well.
The Riverside Park Conservancy last May brought 24 goats from an upstate NY farm to control the weeds in the Park. They did so well that they were returned. Now five have come back to the Park to keep the weeds down, and I wish I could walk to see them. They're in a fenced in area between 119th and 125th Streets.
It's been such a public and landscaping success that they are bringing them back next year.
Where in Columbus were your activities today, DR Ginny?
Thank you all for the health vibes. Other than feeling like a ticking time bomb, I’m fine for now. Trying to get back into some heart-healthy behaviors to prevent my moderate risk progressing to severe.
We received several fairy tale pumpkins in our vegetable box today. I have been cooking them in the instant pot (which doesn't heat up the house on this 109F day).
Watched the same first fifteen minutes of Kismet that I always do - not sure why I can never get beyond that - I'll try tomorrow, but frankly, and I hope this doesn't offend anyone, I find Howard Keel's performance to be a bit of an embarrassment. I like him in Seven Brides, but not here. Never really liked Ann Blythe either. Jack Cole's work so far is the big calling card here.
What are fairy tale pumpkins?
I am imagining wheels, a team of horses that were formerly mice and a well dressed cleaning woman sitting inside

I thought the vixter met her husband in Florida
No, Vixhubby used to live right down the road from us. They met in high school, Vix was 14 , he was 15. He fell heads over heels for her right away, she had no interest.
He asked her out several times and she totally friend zoned him.
So he decided friends was better than nothing and became part of her group of friends.
They stayed close friends all through high school and then when he graduated he started going to college locally and living at home. But midway through his freshman year his folks moved to Florida.
Nick ( the friend if both of them) convinced his parents to allow Vixhusband to stay with them for the remainder of the year so VH could finish his first year of college
When school was over VH joined his family in Florida
He ended up taking a year off so he could get Florida resident status and then started going to college in Orlando.
He was lonely down there with no friends and he and Vix started skyping regularly.
She finally fell in love with him, over skype...they had a long distance relationship for 3 years talking over skype every day...she visited a couple of times, and we saw him we we went down to the timeshare twice a year, he came up and stayed with Nicks family over summer breaks...
When he graduated and was offered a job down there that's when she decided to move to Florida to be with him.
We would have been a lot less supportive of her move at age 23 if we hadn't already known him for 9 years at that point.
They knew each other and had been good friends for 12 years by time they married, he's the only boy she ever dated.
Healthy vibes to DRs Ginny, TCB, and Jeanne!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After I left, I drove through the Taco Bell in Centralia.

When I went to the dollar store the shelves were nearly empty...so I'm not sure if that's about to close or they're having trouble getting stuff cheap enough to sell for $1 because of tariffs
