Well, you've read the notes, the notes had videos and the videos had notes, and now it is time for you to post until the video cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: CICERONIAN!
-
First post after BK.
-
Great videos, BK! And the poster's pretty darned cool, too!
-
To continue from last light...at one point, my scene partner and I are talking about the Boy Scouts, and one line I'm still having a little trouble with is:
Maybe there's a reason you don't see little para-militaristic, saluting, hand-shaking, badge-wearing, paternalistic, vow-taking boys in garter socks and neckerchiefs.
I'll get it. ;D
-
I gotta tell you.
-
Good morning, all!
-
Back later!
-
Good morning
-
T.O.D.
I do have a poster from WINGS hanging on my wall. I went to PickFair and Buddy Rogers signed it for me.
-
Good morning, all.
-
A1C vibes for Jane. I’ve been trying to get my under 7 for the past year. It isn’t easy.
-
Last night was very difficult. The Nyquil, which I took around 7:30, knocked me out until 11:00 or so, when I woke with severe stomach problems that put me in the bathroom for some time. After that, I dozed on and off, trying to find a comfortable sleeping position. At 6:30, I fed the cats and sat in a tub of hot water for about 30 minutes before signing on here before going back to bed. I'm quite lethargic, wanting to sleep, but the pain will not let me get comfortable. I doubt I will go far from my bed today.
-
My A1C dropped to 7.1 in my last tests after being very high in May. I;m working on bringing it down.
-
No word yet on a referral to therapy or a hip x-ray.
-
I cleaned the litter and washed out the kitty dishes, and now I'm waiting for my leg to stop throbbing. At some point it will calm down to a steady low-grade pain but at the moment it's still violently reacting to the stretching and exertion. Whenever I lie down, Annabelle climbs onto my lap and lingers for a few minutes before getting distracted by Stella or Thatch..
-
Feel better vibes for DR Elmore!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm so sorry that you are in so much pain. :(
-
Great notes and videos.
Casting vibes for MR BK.
-
Pain be gone vibes for DR ELMORE.
-
Last night was actually pretty good....I think there is a chance we will have a good opening night tonight.
And for some reason - people are buying tickets!
One actor still has some line problems. We ran the scene twice before rehearsal last night and he was fine.....but not when it came up in the show.
His scene partner took the bull by the horns so to speak and we got everything said and done.....
-
Good morning, all.
-
Vibes for DR Elmore and the whole damn lot o' yez!
-
I'm off again to Mr. Graham's house, where in one way or another we're going to find the pathway to success.
Let's have some VIBES for this one, too, kids!
-
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Smooth sailing vibes for DR ChasSmith! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We're waiting on those photos!
I just unpacked and assembled a container on wheels for the kitty kibble, then unpacked 12 lbs of kibble, broke down the cartons and took them to the basement. I'm tuckered out.
-
I liked this container so much that I just reordered one for Annabelle's Meow Mix.
Without medication? Do you also fast for the test?
-
DR George, once your numbers dropped did you stop the medication? How many hours did you fast for the test?
-
I rarely see guidelines when told to fast. Fasting for me can easily be 14-16 hours which is really too long. I have read various time frames, 10-12, 6-8, and 2-4 hours.
I'm off again to Mr. Graham's house, where in one way or another we're going to find the pathway to success.
You are very kind.
Well here are Hal & Howard showing Rosemary and Millie how dancing is done.
Opening night vibes to Jrand!
-
Chas, hope all goes well.
-
I'm up, I'm up - seven hours of sleep - may go back to bed for a bit, BUT, ChasSmith HAS the video on his computer - he simply connected his laptop to the iPad and it uploaded in about thirty seconds. He's now on his way home and will either Googlle it or We Transfer it and I will hopefully have it soon and then I'll upload to the authoring house.
I have something very much like that, but mine doesn't have the rotating wheels. Even though it has only the forward-and-back
wheels, it's otherwise quite convenient to have.
DR George, once your numbers dropped did you stop the medication? How many hours did you fast for the test?
Jane, I haven't stopped the medication. I'm taking less than when I started, but I haven't stopped completely...I'm not as diligent at eating fewer carbs than I should be. ::)
-
And I would get the test in the morning, so that my fasting is just how long I sleep. I don't have much of a breakfast (usually just a protein shake), so it's easy to hold off until I have the test.
-
George - That's quite a speech. Is he a good guy or a bad guy?
Not really good or bad...he just is. It's a fairly passive scene that ends the play. All the earlier scenes have the meat of the play, so we're just putting and end to it all.
-
Thursday afternoon greetings! I am home between a couple of local errands. This morning I went over to the Miami University campus to see a couple of faculty members and to admire the new career services center. In about an hour, I'm going to visit my friend Emilie who had a stroke earlier this year but still managed to grow her famous heirloom tomatoes. She has some for us - BLTs for dinner tonight!
-
DR Jeanne, thank you for giving me an A in public speaking - and for watching the videos I shared!
Full disclosure: I have never taken an actual public speaking course, but took acting classes in both high school and college. In some ways, I think you're either born with public speaking ability or you're not.
DR Jrand the photo looks like they are having fun :)
Carbs are difficult though I think I am doing better with them than sugar.
I have no problem waiting to eat. I just don't eat late enough or get up early enough to make the hours reasonable.
Good afternoon DR Laura. It is always doubly joyous to see you post, first smile is for you and the second smile for your avatar :)
FINALLY -- I got home, got the video uploaded to Google Drive, downloaded it to my other laptop as additional backup, spot-checked that it runs okay, and I've just sent BK the "shared" link.
-
Congratulations, ChasSmith.
-
My talk on recipe and cookbook writing went well. The students pretended they were interested.
-
I'd told BK that it looked like it'll take about an hour to upload (file size is 1.4 GB), but I then saw that in my rush to start the transfer I'd neglected to connect my MacBook via ethernet, so that was only a WiFi estimate -- which at first i'd thought was "okay" since at Gerrit's house the estimate was always three hours. I stopped the upload, connected the right way, restarted it, and it only took 35 minutes. :) My subsequent download of it took about four minutes.
Well, thank you, sir. Now it's time for this mensch to head out for -- you guessed it -- a rehearsal. Costumes tonight, so that will certainly be interesting.
-
The Google download happened and I also have the We Transfer, which was indeed much quicker. I've already uploaded it to Dropbox and the authoring house finally has it. Whew!
-
Back from a great roast beef sandwich and no fries or onion rings. Picked up some packages and an important envelope, and put gas in the motor car. I am just about done for the day, I think.
-
I've had two soaks in a hot tub today, and I suspect I'll have one more before I go to bed. I hope I can stay up for the debates.
-
I have to clean the stove. The repairman arrives tomorrow.
-
Did you know - as if Facebook wasn't a cesspool enough, with people behaving like morons, posting fake shit - if you click on any ad, which I did recently to see what apartments cost these days, you then are inundated with like-minded ads on your feed, literally every other post. Add to that the dreaded and ridiculous algorithm BS and, well, it's just a place for people to rant their politics, post fake memes without even checking to see if they're fake, share old deaths like they just happened. I mean, think about it - it's like nothing I've ever seen before.
-
Hope the tub soaks help! I'm going to record the debates because I'll be at rehearsal. I'll be able to watch the beginning here at work, streaming through Comcast.
Glad to hear it! Thanks again to DR Chas.
I went to the dentist for a cleaning. The hygienist today was a substitute, filling in for the one who's on maternity leave. She told me that's all she does--she fills in for hygienists on maternity leave. I hadn't thought about it before, but most hygienists are young females.
-
Afterwards, I went to the deli across the street. Their food is rather mediocre, but quite inexpensive. When was the last time you paid $2.50 for a sandwich?
-
Vibes to all.
TTFN.
At the University of Texas-San Antonio. About 20 students in a cookbook class.
-
Four!
-
Glad all the files got transferred properly.
-
We have a friend staying with us for several nights. She is later than expected so we went ahead & ate. I only ate half of my dinner & will eat the other half while she eats. We were very hungry ;D
-
Ladies and gentlemen, just got an e-mail from Indiegogo and our funds are on their way - three to five business days, so sometime next week they should hit and then we begin sending perks.
And on that note (C#), I'm off to rehearsal! Hopefully, THAT goes well, too!
Be back later.
-
Hi, Jan! What’s shaking?
-
Last episode of Riverdale.
-
This season got dark and really creepy.
-
Back.
Why does it feel like a Friday night?
-
Well, tomorrow should REALLY feel like one. Mark my words.
-
At least I'll be able to catch up on a few things.
Laundry. Maybe some outdoors work. But that's iffy. Yeah, scratch that.
Mainly, I must prepare for our first band rehearsal and sitzprobe on Sunday.
-
Good luck with the weekend plans, ChasSmith.
-
Tomorrow night, I usher for a free outdoor screening of Mary Poppins Returns. We got stormed out last time they tried to show it. Tomorrow I think brings the full moon. A storm of crazies instead.
-
Archie, Jughead, Veronica and Betty have all battled the forces of darkness enough for one night.
-
Sleep tight, all.
-
Ladies and gentlemen, just got an e-mail from Indiegogo and our funds are on their way - three to five business days, so sometime next week they should hit and then we begin sending perks.
Excellent news 😊
-
Hi, Jan! What’s shaking?
I guess her visit was short. Maybe later.
-
And on that note (C#), I'm off to rehearsal! Hopefully, THAT goes well, too!
Be back later.
Tonight's rehearsal did go fairly well.
-
I got through most of my lines without looking at my script too much. ::)
-
Both Jeff, my scene partner, and I had our scripts with us...as did other people in other scenes.
-
After we went through our scene twice, we became the audience for other scenes for the other two casts.
-
There are three sets of casts, so I'm only performing during the first hour.
-
After we went through our scene twice at the same time as all the other first-hour scenes, the second-hour cast twice went through their scenes all at the same time, then the third-hour cast went through their scenes twice.
-
FIVE!!
-
Jeff and I will get together and rehearse on our own because we need to.
-
We could've earlier, but I didn't think about it.
-
Page five? Really?
-
Listening to music is what I'm doing.
-
What are you doing?
-
Fortunately, we are just literally sitting in a car talking to each other, so there's no blocking to worry about.
-
This is the easiest play I think I've ever been in!
-
There's no make-up.
-
There's no specific costuming.
-
We can just wear whatever we want.
-
I really need to shave and get a haircut, but I decided that that's my character...unshaved and longish hair.
-
:D
-
I ordered some new Hawaiian shirts that just arrived today.
-
We could've earlier, but I didn't think about it.
At least you thought of it now.
-
I'll wear one of those as my "costume" since I've never worn them before.
-
I really need to shave and get a haircut, but I decided that that's my character...unshaved and longish hair.
And you can postpkne the shave & haircut ;)
Yes! Jeff also commented about how we could've gotten together earlier.
But, of course!
Good evening.
Pain-free vibes to DR elmore!
Hi, Tom.
-
I guess Seattle had a lightning storm tonight, but I don’t think we had any here.
-
At least I didn’t hear anything.
-
Now they are predicting rain for the entire weekend.
-
Oh joy!
-
As I was leaving reheasal tonight, there was a big lightnight flash as soon as I got in my car! :o
Oh, darn!
