Well, you've read the notes, the notes were not quite notes, and now it is time for you to post until the not quite cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: REALIA!
-
First post after BK.
-
Good evening.
-
First post from Greece!
-
Hi, George.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Hi, Tom!
-
Hi, George!
-
Vibes for all.
-
I am home from seeing a quite wonderful production of BILOXI BLUES at the Lakewood Playhouse.
-
First post from Greece!
Isn’t Athens in Greece?
-
Hi, John.
-
My friend, John Munn, who is the Artistic Director at Lakewood Playhouse played the role of Sgt. Toomey.
-
He was really quite wonderful in the role.
-
I told Tracy at intermission, and I told John after the show; that this was the best thing I had seem him do since he played Starbuck in THE RAINMAKER.
-
And that was more than 20 years ago.
-
Hi, Tom and John.
-
I had never seen, nor even read, BILOXI BLUES.
-
I told Tracy at intermission, and I told John after the show; that this was the best thing I had seem him do since he played Starbuck in THE RAINMAKER.
That's pretty cool.
-
I had never seen, nor even read, BILOXI BLUES.
I haven't either. Isn't it the second part of a trilogy?
-
It is certainly not as good a play, or as funny as BRIGHTON BEACH MEMOIRS.
-
But still, very enjoyable.
-
Both shows used the same actor for the role of Eugene Jerome.
-
Both shows used the same actor for the role of Eugene Jerome.
I would hope so!
-
Sadly, he will be away at college next year so he will have to miss playing the role in BROADWAY BOUND.
-
It is certainly not as good a play, or as funny as BRIGHTON BEACH MEMOIRS.
Ahh.
-
I had never seen, nor even read, BILOXI BLUES.
I haven't either. Isn't it the second part of a trilogy?
Yes.
-
Oh my, it’s getting late.
-
Yesterday, I finally watched Lincoln Center’s CAROUSEL with Kelli O’ Hara and Nathan Gunn. Wow, what a great production.
-
………………P A G E T W O …………………………………
-
Well, good night and good day!
-
Yesterday, I finally watched Lincoln Center’s CAROUSEL with Kelli O’ Hara and Nathan Gunn. Wow, what a great production.
I really enjoyed it, too.
-
Good night, Tom. I'm off, too. I'm going to be helping my sister at a Suicide Prevention walk in the morning. We'll be at a table for PFLAG.
It's too damned early, if you ask me...but I said that I'd help, so I shall.
-
It's the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's Out of the Darkness Olympia Walk (https://afsp.donordrive.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=donorDrive.event&eventID=6291). After that, I'm working concessions again at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts. Then if my family is still at my sister's for our weekly(ish) family dinner, I'll go there, then go home.
-
Have a good day, all!
-
Jan, so far nothing more than out of the ordinary. I hope you make it to England one day

We’ve watched both of those mini series numerous times
-
Good morning, all!
-
It's quite chilly this morning. Annabelle crawled into bed with me, but Stella decided to edge her way in as well. Then, all she wanted to do was wrestle with Annabelle. It was hell.
-
I could use some good vibes: I'm heading back into another major debt crisis because of too little work. As I've said a million times before, that damned Ohio property will never sell, and it's only going to destroy me by letting me fret myself to death over it. I am neither happy nor content at the moment.
-
$$$ and selling the property vibes for DR ELMORE.
-
Nice cool weather today.
-
I want to slap Ricky Segall in the face.
That is all.

So here's our latest Kit Kat adventure.
Our Emcee, 46 years of age and in all apparent excellent health, had a stroke yesterday. Fortunately, he was with his wife when she noticed something wrong. She called an ambulance and the local hospital airlifted him to Yale New Haven where they inserted a stent in his carotid artery to relieve the blockage. He'll be in ICU for a few days. Outlook is good, but too early to tell as far as long term effects. He's a great guy.
Our director, who has years of experience but had never played this role (but knows the show backwards), went on in place of him, did a fine job, and will of course get better.
-
George, sorry I missed your post last night. The news had been especially fascinating me, and eventually I feel asleep watching TV, so when I woke up so that I could go to bed I checked HHW on the way
-
I find what BK's actor's reaction so odd - that someone specifically tells Bk their agent is actively trying to keep them from doing the play with BK, and is then surprised that the info they provided is actually taken into account.
-
Tom, isn't Eugene a nice but insubstantial part in BROADWAY BOUND, but when I'd seen it, the actress playing Kate Jerome tends to get almost all the acclaim there. It's IIRC one of Linda Lavin's most celebrated NY stage performances.
-
Good afternoon!
-
Hello from West Seneca, NY. Temp was 41 degrees when I landed but it’s a balmy 57 now. It feels great!
-
I'm up, I'm up - maybe seven hours of sleep. Must head over to Nordstrom Rack now.
-
We had a more relaxing day though I was tempted to take the train to Blackpool to see if I could find my grandfathers pauper grave.
-
It was go for the long shot or stay in town and see the Manchester Cathedral where some of my family were married.
-
Vibes for ChasSmith’s emcee. What a horrible story.
-
We ate today. And then we ate some more. We’ve just finished eating again.
-
Three!
-
Back from Nordstrom Rack with several pairs of pants. I was happy to see that for the casual pants (not jeans, but like jeans) my waist size hadn't gone up - for the dress slacks I had to go up because those didn't fit - there is simply no consistency to sizes anymore.
-
We ate today. And then we ate some more. We’ve just finished eating again.
It sounds like fun. I have been eating way too many of the wrongs foods, mostly on this last portion of the trip. Thank goodness I resisted the English candies I love so much.
-
No sizes are not what they used to be.....everything MUST be tried on.....
-
Did you also get some motorcycle boots MR BK?
-
Lovely day today weatherwise with kids playing ball in the street and doggies and kitties in abundance - with their owners.....
And dark by 7:45.
-
I hope everyone else in CABARET MON AMOUR is watching his/her back.
-
I didn't try on the black dress shirt I bought - that was a mistake - have to take that back.
-
Chas I am sorry to hear about your emcee...vibes he makes a full recovery
-
I’ve been trying to add more fresh vegetables and fruit into my diet
-
Tonight I made cucumber salad as a starter and dinner was chicken breasts browned then simmered in broth and sliced zucchini, white onion, sweet peppers, mushrooms and cherry tomatoes cooked together with a bit I’d chicken broth
-
Dessert was blueberries, raspberries and blackberries
-
Breakfast was an omelette with onions peppers mushrooms and Swiss cheese
-
I added a pinch of cream of tartar in the eggs before beating them up and it was beautifully fluffy and light
-
I know I eaten enough for one day but my stomach is campaigning for a trip to Taco Bell followed by a trip to Carvel
-
Stupid stomach
-
I also made a spaghetti squash in the air fryer and scraped it all into a Pyrex container to eat tomorrow along with the other red of the zucchini mixture
-
And I have some avocados and an acorn squash for later in the week
-
Good evening.
-
My plans for a day of getting ready for vacation didn't pan out. I was busy doing many other things.
-
One of those things was giving away most of our vegetable box we got this morning. I won't be here to use it. Too bad I couldn't give it to Vixmom.
-
Vixmom, if you haven't already found this youtube channel, this is one of my favorites:

I'm home. It was an eventful but sedate day.
-
I met my sister downtown at Capitol Lake.
-
I thought that I would have to help put up PFLAG's portable gazebo, but it turned out that the Suicide Prevention organization had already set up gazebos for everyone, so no one had to take the time and effort to set up and take down their own!
-
That was pretty cool.
-
Then, I just stood or sat around keeping my sister and the other PFLAG member company.
-
That was easy.
-
A woman that I know from ushering was there and she came over and chatted for a while.
-
It turns out that she and my sister have known each other for years from their work!
-
Post #100!
-
Then when the walk actually started, my sister said that I could leave since they were going to just leave in a little bit anyway and didn't really need my help to pack up their stuff, so I left.
-
I decided to get something to eat before I went to work concessions at the Washington Center, so I went to Taco Bell.
-
I had one of their breakfast crunchwraps with sausage and it was pretty darned good.
-
Then, I went home and changed my clothes for concessioning, then hied myself back downtown to the theater.
-
Working consessions was very easy.
-
Everything had already been set up, so all I had to do essentially was to continue to sit there and give out cups for the free coffee.
-
::)
-
;)
-
I think I actually sold only two cookies and one pack of nuts.
-
I chatted with the other concessionaires and the house managers, and read my Kindle.
-
When the event was all done, we cleaned up and put things away, and I got to take home a whole bag of chocolate chip cookies!
-
They were kind of old and a bit too dry to be sold tomorrow, but not old or dry enough for me to eat.
-
No one else wanted any, and they would've just been thrown away.
-
And the theater is getting a new delivery of cookies tomorrow, as well, so they really were not needed.
-
AND they freeze well enough for me. ;D
-
After I finally left the WCPA, I called my sister to see if my parents were still there and they were.
-
They had already eaten, so I drove through Burger King and got another Impossible Whopper to eat at my sister's.
-
My mom had never had one, so she tried it.
-
She kind of liked it.

I still like the beef Whopper better, but it's still okay.
-
After I finished my IW, we played Phase 10.
-
I WON!! :D
-
That hasn't happened in a while.
-
And now, I'm home watching TV.

Good evening.

Oh dear! Signing in to find a photo of an Impossible burger was almost enough for me to sign back out.

Hi, George.
-
Lazy day today.
-
Finally back from an excruciating evening. More in the notes, which I shall now write.
-
~~~~~~~~~Financial vibes for our dear friend, elmore!!~~~~~~~
I got up about 5:50 to feed Nick his breakfast (his idea, not mine). Then I went back to bed. At 9:00 am, Nick decided I had slept long enough. Swell!
-
I spent the rest of the day watching college football.
-
I did head out to the store for Nicky’s stuff, and KFC for my dinner.
-
After that, it was time for Washington vs. Stanford. Yuck! I should have quit while I was ahead.
-
I also got a container of KFC’s mac and cheese to have for lunch/dinner tomorrow.
-
I understand there was some anti-gay trouble in downtown Olympia this morning.
-
Tommorrow, it is supposed to be an even nicer day than today.
-
Hi, Tom.
-
But it will start to rain again on Monday.
I understand there was some anti-gay trouble in downtown Olympia this morning.
Really?? I didn't hear anything, but that's not unusual.
Weird weather in September and October. Must be global warming.
Tommorrow, it is supposed to be an even nicer day than today.
Good!
Let’s keep this going.
Yikes, I fell asleep watching TV again, this time SNL. Hopefully, Weekend Update will be on YouTube soon.
Maybe the recent fixing up of the sofa made it too comfortable. :)
I recorded SNL so that I could watch an episode of Seth Meyers that was recorded on my DVR.
