It gopt very cold last nmight, and my bed became a cat motel. Annabelle suffered the most from my leg pains and restlessness since she buried herself in the blankets and the crook of my knees.

I really liked the doctor, who is a shoulder replacement specialist. We laughed over the fact that my HMO referred my hip issues to him. His partner is a hip specialist.

We looked over my right hip X-ray from three weeks ago, my left hip X-ray from 2017, and my left knee X-ray from earlier. My left hip is in worse shape than my right, and Dr. Re thinks I might need both hips replaced. So, I asked, why is my right hip causing me problems if the left is worse? The answer: it's not the arthritis, I've got bursitis in my right hip.

So, Dr. Re gave me a cortisone injection in my left knee and my right hip, and by the time I left his office, the improvement was amazing. When I go back in several months for a gel injection in my knee, the doctor will introduce me to his partner;s nurse to discuss possible hip replacement in the spring.

I'm up, I'm up - eight-and-a-half hours of sleep, but apparently I missed the morning. Must catch up. Mac Mail shows seven items, which means Mac Mail is having one of its moments, which means I have no idea how many orders have come in.

Amazing! I've never had any kind of injection like that, but I know a couple of people who have had similar injections and were quite happy, too.

The girl said I got an email and a paper notice in my bill, but I certainly don't remember receiving either one.
So I dropped HBO - which is sad.....I may reinstate it.....but my bill is already TOO MUCH....

Jrand, have you considered "cutting the cord"? It depends, of course, on what you watch, but it can be much cheaper. I subscribe to Netflix, two streaming-only services, and PBS (donation) for less than $50/mo. If I joined Amazon Prime I'd have even more options.

Jane, I have not been affected. I'd heard about the outages in Northern California, but until today wasn't aware of any here. Apparently, they're here, too. I hadn't heard a thing about it. I can't believe there isn't a better way to handle this, even if it's just a decent notification system.

I've been trying to take care of many things in preparation for next week's surgery. It's a good thing that I don't wait until the last minute, because there always seem to be hiccups. Annoying, but you just have to expect them.

I'll be picking up my new computer glasses tomorrow. I hope the prescription's correct because I really need them! If it is, I may have them do my new sunglasses. I've used up my insurance vision credit, so I'll have to pay for them myself, but they are offering 1/2 off if I order another pair within 60 days. That's a good deal!

I had a chili, cheese, and onion hot dog - there's one chef at Jerry's who simply doesn't know how to do it properly - he's told American cheese but uses cheddar, which melts horribly and messily and it doesn't taste right. I ate it, but wasn't happy about it. Had the little side Caesar with it and a couple of small peanut butter cookies for the sweet o' the day.

I'll try to record a song later this evening. I don't quite have the ending right and really can't until I get with a vocal arranger - it involves counterpoint - I know that works because I planned it carefully, like the Brain from Planet X act one ender. But then there's a bit of cacophony after it, with people singing different lines over each other and I'll just try to approximate it and then really work it with an arranger.

A title closer was at a closing in the office today who I used to work with all the time 15 -20 years ago

We were in the copy room and my boss was in the file room which is behind the copy room

One of my coworkers asked how we knew each other and she started saying that I ran the real estate department at my old firm and saying very nice things about me

Then my boss came out of the room ( we didn’t know he was there) and smiled at me and went back to his office

I have been helping out the girls in the residential real estate department for the past few weeks because they are so swamped

They have been lobbying me to ask to be switched to their department

I have been responding with saying I love working commercial deals now but I’ll help them however I can

I don’t think I want to be sucked down that drain again....

I don’t know if the girls have mentioned their idea to the bosses...

And I am not sure if today’s meeting would have any influence on their decision if the girls did approach them

Vixdad got his car back from the shop the day before yesterday

Yesterday when he got back from the city and approached his car there was a paper under his windshield wiper

$100 fine for an expired inspection sticker

We got his car in October and assumed his inspection wasn’t up until the end of the month

Cars have to be inspected yearly in NY

But it turned out that since it was a used car it had already been inspected prior to purchase not at time of purchase (as our last three cars have been)

So I had to drive him to the station today and pick him up

He’s arranged for our local mechanic to inspect the car at 8 tomorrow morning
