Well, you've read the notes, the notes were a discovery and musical, and now it is time for you to post until the discovering cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: FOOTLE!
-
George, we used a different version of the art, one which you will soon own.

Thanks! I was wondering. That's pretty darned cool! :D
-
And those are great "Honeymoon Suite" pictures!
-
And now, I must be off to bed. The family is getting together at my parents' at noon, and I need to get up in time to go there.
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning to all
-
I highly recommend Collete Collage one of my favorite cast recordings
-
I see that it’s actor Norman Lloyd’s 105th birthday. I believe he’s the oldest actor still working.
BK ever work with him?
-
Good morning, all!
-
I'm sleeping better now that I have the Tramadol and Tizanidine, but my left hip - which needs the replacement - is getting worse. I hope it will last until spring 2020.
-
I think I am going into City Center today. They may be closed for Veteran's Day. I wait to hear from Joshie.
-
If I do not go in, I've got this choral piece to work on.
-
DR JohnG, the Armida is one of Rossini's "serious" operas, based - I think - on The Song of Roland, which provided Händel with several opera libretti as well - about the Crusades, witches, enchantment, revenge, etc. I prefer his comic ones.
-
That ENO Street Scene recording is one I play a lot. I like it very much. Some of the American accents go astray, but Catherine Zeta Jones sings "Moon Faced Starry Eyed."
-
I never saw any of the PBS Durrells of Corfu, but last night the cats ands I watched a PBS show about the Durrell family after they returned to England in 1939. One of the talking heads was Princess Anne, whom I've not thought about in years. She looked great, and I admire her concerns over animal rights.

Wow. What is he still doing?

I couldn't get into the tv show about them. The show with Princess Anne sounds interesting.

Bruce, congrats on finding the photos 😊
-
Good morning, all.
-
It’s taking a while to get logged on to work this morning. Don’t know why.

Happy Veterans Day. Thanks to all who served.
-
I must get ready to leave for City Center. This should be an Ascot Gavotte, Street Where You Live day.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Oh good lord it's Monday.
-
Norman Lloyd and Olivia de Havilland should get together and make a music video or something.
-
Back to rehearsal tonight. Once again, just three nights this week. This one might take a miracle to pull together. I just hope our director is back with us tonight.
-
Monday morning greetings! Richard is busy with Veterans Day observances and I'm puttering at home until it's time to go to a new health care facility for our November AAUW meeting. We're expecting our first measurable (1-3 inches) snowfall this evening :P

That sounds like a good day!

DR JOHN G, DR JANE, & DR JEANNE.....
Yes you can just dab the tea tree oil directly on the skin tag. You can cover it with a small band aid if you like to protect your clothing.
Use 100% tea tree oil.....sometimes there are a few additives that won't hurt, but get as close as you can. It usually takes about six weeks of daily use.....BUT no pain!
I found the roll on at - of all places - Dollar Tree - in the health and beauty aisle with the shower gels, etc, etc, etc.....about the size of a lipstick.
-
Loved the photos in the notes.
I could only order ONE cd.....after the first of the year, the coffers should be replenished.....
-
Hmmmm.....TOD:
A Streetcar Named Desire
The Wild One
Mutiny on the Bounty
Sayonara
The Freshman
And another one I shall have to look up....chemo brain.....
-
Remember no Mail or Banking today......
Thinking of our Veterans.

Just spent well over an hour with the leaf blower strapped to my back. I had done hardly any cleanup before today, and I sorely needed to at least clear the driveway of leaves that would probably add to any slickness from tomorrow's rain and ---- (don't say that word) (you know what I mean)
.....
Got most of the yard cleared, too, but there's much more to be done.
Next week. After tomorrow's guest (the North Pole) gets the HELL out of here and heads back home.
-
Slow work from home day. So I watched a devastating documentary, Call Me Lucky, about Barry Crimmins, the comedian and activist. The work he’s done for victims of child abuse and pornography is amazing.

It’s dropping below freezing tomorrow here, too. Nasty.

Big snow falling now.....2-3 inches predicted.....Winter.
-
Full moon in Taurus - trust your inner feelings and thoughts - seek your own counsel rather than that of others.....rely on those you trust to confirm your inclinations.
-
I'm up, I'm up - eight hours of sleep.
-
It was indeed an Ascot Gavotte, Street Where You Live day! I discovered something that blows to hell a My Fair Lady statement from the current musical theatre flavor of the month, whose 15 minutes are nearly up. Or should be.
-
The kitties were happy Daddy is home. They had Fancy Feast Beef Feast for dinner, and they all ate. I'm pondering what I will have.
-
Big snow falling now.....2-3 inches predicted.....Winter.
We're next, I guess. When I swept the dry leaves off our front porch, it was dry and mild. An hour later, Rob arrived to borrow some yard work tools and it was raining, cold, and blustery.
-
DR Elmore, sweeping the leaves off the porch reminded me of Look Homeward, Angel. Was that the opening of Act II?
-
DR Elmore, sweeping the leaves off the porch reminded me of Look Homeward, Angel. Was that the opening of Act II?
That seems right, to my memory. I sure love that play!
-
That weather is heading east, but they're predicting it won't be so bad here.
-
I'm waiting to hear about DR ELMORE's discovery.
-

It was a great experience!

Well, Richard has decided not to go to the dinner in Hamilton and I’m very close to deciding to stay home, too. It’s not that bad now, but supposed to get worse as the evening progresses.
-
Good evening!

I see that its actor Norman Lloyds 105th birthday. I believe hes the oldest actor still working.

Wow! 105 AND working?

Today's Daily News cover. The GOP have done so much for veterans in the past few years. NOT!
-
Hello, everyone.
-
I've been doing all the usual stuff, plus trying to get caught up a bit. My mini home office is the most cluttered it has ever been. Trying to make a dent in it.
-
I stopped for Mexican food and mailed a letter.
-
Not exactly an exciting day, but all necessary stuff. Including the enchiladas.
-
Bruce, did you not particulary like your Honeymoon Suite co-star?
-
Looking forward to the new CDs.
-
TTFN.
-
I'm closing shop. Good night, all!
-
Big snow falling now.....2-3 inches predicted.....Winter.
Hope you haven't had to go anywhere today.
-
Been watching The Dirty Dozen. I don't think I've ever seen this all the way through.
-
I think I saw parts of it on commercial TV way back in the day. Heavily censored for TV.
-
John Cassavetes is excellent. Second movie today with a Nunnally Johnson screenplay (Along Came Jones with Gary Cooper earlier). Second flick with Telly Savalas in the the past week.
-
Went to a early Thanksgiving dinner earlier. Hadn't seen these people in two years and it was nice. The food was good, but way too sweet. Sugar in the sweet potatoes, sugar in the cranberry sauce, sugar in the salad and dressing, and, of course, sugar in the pumpkin pie and whipped cream.
That meal was at 3:30 p.m., so I really didn't eat anything later.
-
Tootsie is closing in January. I'm sort of surprised, because the reviews were uniformly excellent for the book. But the songs I've heard from the score are mediocre, and the dancing pedestrian. From what I gather, audiences didn't care enough for it.
-
The temperature has dropped to 38 degrees and the wind is crazy. There were supposed to have been thunderstorms today. But the rain is still in the forecast and there's a possibility of snow at 4 a.m. Ugh.
-
Hello, 0 guests!
-
Been watching High Noon. Forgot how tense and fast paced this movie is. It's a tight 85 minutes, and not a second is wasted. It's a master class of acting, down to the lying housewife and the faces in the church congregation. And its message of having the moral courage to do what's right even when it's not convenient couldn't be more important in the Trump era.
-
Jeanne, I have little memory of Tammy Shaw - don't remember anything about her, really.
-
No mail today.
-
Had a chili, cheese, and onion hot dog for lunch, with a side Caesar.
-
Came right home and did some work on the computer and at the piano, dozed off, and listened to more music by Weinberg. His middle symphonies are not as easy on the ear as everything up to the tenth. But since I've already heard the twenty-first, I know that he goes back to that land eventually - and there are wonderful things in these middle symphonies, but they simply seem more agitato than the early works.
-
Mr. Shostakovich was a fan of Mr. Weinberg.
-
Mr. Weinberg was a fan of Mr. Shostakovich.
-
I, on the other hand, am a fan of both.
-
Page three? Really?
-
I gotta tell you.
-
Gary Cooper and Grace Kelly won their shootout. And all is right in the Old West.
-
I think it's been 40 years since I saw that movie.
-
It was like going back and reading a Raymond Chandler or a Ross Macdonald again. Everything felt right.
-
Sort of like what this neuroscientist had to say in Chicago about content writing and the role of memory.
-
We do react to things because of memory.
-
And people in my industry use that to impact their decisions.
-
Anyway, enough of that.
-
I need to head off to bed.
-
But first ...
-
Four!
-
Good night, all.
-
I'm up, I'm up - oh, wait...
-
Page four? Really?
-
Still listening to Weinberg. Long symphonies, but very rewarding - when I said earlier that some of the mid-symphonies were not as easy on the ear - they're a war trilogy, so that explains that. And yet moments of great beauty.
-
Hello
-
Vixdad was home today because of Veterans Day
-
I was at work
-
I have no news to share
-
sorry to say
-
We've been streaming NCIS and the West Wing fir the past couple of days
-
It was very sunny and relatively warm today, in the lower 6o's
-
But we have been threatened with a severe drop in temperature and possible "wintery mix" tomorrow
-
I am hoping these to be empty threats
-

Thanks for the info. I will look for it next time I am near the Dollar Tree.

Our congressman has announce he will not seek re-election next year,
-
He has served 14 terms but was not always our congressman....they did a little gerrymandering a few years back and the congressional redistricting suddenly made him our congressman.
-
I could not be more pleased to hear about his retirement
-
Been watching The Dirty Dozen. I don't think I've ever seen this all the way through.
Really?
I saw this movie with Keith's parents. At the time I didn't know his father rarely went to the movies. I recall he was looking forward to it and enjoyed it very much.
-

I hope you like his replacement.
-
DR Vixmom you should be asleep.
-

Happy 105th Birthday to Norman Lloyd! ;D

:o Who'da thunk it?
-
Hi George.
-
It appears Vixmom has gone to sleep. I think I should do the same.
-
'night.
-
Good night, Jane (and Vixmom). :)
-
And now...

Yikes!
-
Today, I was at my parents' for our quasi-weekly family dinner and game playing.
-
I had a cheeseburger and sweet potato tater tots.
-
I love tater tots but don't love sweet potatoes.
-
I didn't love the sweet potato tater tots, but they weren't as bad as I expected.
-
After dinner, we played Aggravation.
-
I didn't win. ::)
-
We then played Phase 10.
-
I did win that! :D
-
First time in quite a while.
-
After dinner and games, I drove my sister home.
-
Her daughter left earlier, while we were playing Phase 10, to bring her chickens into their coop.
-
Evidently, they found raccoon poop in their fenced-in yard!
-
:o
-
After I dropped off my sister, I got a haircut!
-
It's probably the first time since last year that I got it cut.
-
Good evening.
-
And now, I'm home, watching TV, after setting up my DVD burner to burn a DVD of The King and I.
-
Hi, Tom.
-
The Seattle Seahawks beat the San Francisco Forty-Niners 27-24, in overtime, in one of the most exciting football games I have ever seen.
-
Whew! I am exhausted!
-
Hello, George.
-
Evidently, they found raccoon poop in their fenced-in yard!
Does raccoon poop come with a name tag on it?
-

It doesn't.
-
My niece did research and found out what kind of animal poop it was.
-
My niece did research and found out what kind of animal poop it was.
Ah! That was my next question.
-
Boy, everybody is having bad weather this week. I just heard our temperature tomorrow is suppose to drop to 50 degrees. Brrrr!
-
One more post.
