Well, you've read the notes, the notes had notes, and now it is time for you to post until the noted cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: GUSTO!
-
First post after BK.
-
Thanks for the update on the shipping info, BK. I figured that that was the case.
-
Well, I'm off to bed. I finally get a day to sleep in...and Neve's not going to stop me, either! ;D
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morniong, all!
-
I went back to bed after feeding the cats and slept for two more hours. Stella kept me company.
-
I had many strange dreams last night, but I only remember a long one in which I was working on a show at Goodspeed. The production running was Sweeney Todd, and Annabelle got out of my charge and ended up onstage. My memories of this dream are trying to get to her while she wandered around during "God, that's good" and a talk with producer Michael Price, whom I dearly love. He's now retired and I hope he is well.
-
I have absolutely no plans for the day. After I tidy up, I may lounge, go back to the Cole Porter letters, or watch something on DVD.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Saturday.
I want to watch the CREATURE with the commentaries.....so that will take some time.....
SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER
The funniest scene of ALL that made me laugh the most and is a classic for me is the one that has MR BK mopping the floor as we hear "The Blue Danube" in the background.....
-
TOD:
Lang Lang gave an amazing performance here and watching him in rehearsal was a thrill.
-
This photo pretty much expresses my opinion of last week's impeachment hearings.
-
Saturday morning greetings! Much better sleep for me last night, thank goodness.
-
We’re going to dinner tonight with Fr. Wayne and his wife Sandy, then to Cincinnati’s Aronoff Center for a stage version of The Screwtape Letters.
-
That Randy Rainbow was a hoot. I ordered the Christmas album.
-
There’s another CD I found, an import called A Vintage Broadway Christmas.
Two CDs. 2019 holiday release, a unique album of festive showtunes and yuletide favorites as sung by Broadway's stars of yesteryear. A pageant of yuletide nostalgia, this bespoke collection embraces the bygone Christmases of the 1950s and '60s. Includes seasonal selections from the Broadway musicals Subways Are For Sleeping, Greenwillow, Irma La Douce, Song Of Norway, Call Me Mister and Babes In Toyland. The collection boasts a glittering array of Broadway stars performing festive material from carols and holiday classics to novelty Christmas numbers, many of which make their debut on CD. Featured performers include Mary Martin, Joel Grey, Barbara Cook, John Raitt, Elaine Stritch, Leslie Uggams, Sally Ann Howes, William Tabbert, Eartha Kitt, Mimi Hines, Dorothy Collins and many more. Give the gift of showtunes this Christmas with A Vintage Broadway Christmas, the perfect stocking filler for the musical theatre enthusiast!
-
It won’t replace A Broadway Christmas as one of my sll-time favorites, but it sounds fun.
-
A favorite Alan Menken-Stephen Schwartz song, from Life With Mickey

-
Good morning, all.
-
I love the Randy Rainbow videos, and I think he's been getting better and more outrageous with each one lately.
-
I enjoyed me some CREATURE last night and again this morning.
-
Time to pen a li'l review!
-
Does anyone ... still pen ... a review?
-
Good morning.
-
Tell Annabelle that Sweeney Todd is NOT the show she wants to star in!
-
I'm up, I'm up - perhaps five hours of sleep. I shall now be on my way to the theater.
-
Curious to know thoughts from those who've seen both versions of the film as to how the original feels after only knowing the other cut.
-
Tell Annabelle that Sweeney Todd is NOT the show she wants to star in!
You tell her! She won't stop singing "The Worst Pies in London!" And when she and Thatch start in on "A Little Priest," it's a din.
-
I wish they'd go back to their holiday repertoire.
-
Page 2 Dance!

A review has been submitted to Amazon. Let the waiting commence!

The leaves on the walking path through the park have been blown away making our walk much safer.
-
We saw our upstairs neighbor with our upstairs dog. He was attacked by a coyote outside of our place last night. She scooped him up before the coyote could get to him, and did a lot of screaming. Unfortunately we didn't hear her screams though someone did two buildings away. She will be carrying a club for future walks.
-
Another owner and small dog had a run in with a coyote.
-
Some vibes for the safety of my local dogs will be appreciated.

I just bought that! I haven't listened to it yet, but I'm looking forward to it. :)

Ditto.

I'm now (finally) watching last season's season finale of Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
-
Back from a pretty okay rehearsal, but I was not happy to be upstairs because it's like going backwards - and this kind of thing is NOT going to happen when Doug takes over because I'm going to change the way they do things. So, for tomorrow, we took a vote and everyone was available to come at four so we can be on the stage.
-
Well, I must be off. I'm going to my parents' for our weekly family dinner, but my mom wants me to come over early to take a look at their fridge. She said that it's not as cold as it should be. Hopefully, it'll be easy to fix. :-\
Until later.
-
Just getting up from a nap.
-
I think I am ready for another nap.
-
Lots of dance practice today.
-
And dancing tonight.

Let’s move on ...

Annabelle is forcing all of us to watch Holiday tonight. She's on a Katharine Hepburn kick. I wanted to watch Laura. Thatch wanted The Three Musketeers.
-
Holiday is a delight. Not Bringing Up Baby or The Philadelphia Story, but charming. Which version of The Three Musketeers is Thatch partial to?
-
The house is filled with the smells of ham and lentil soup cooking up.
-
Fascinating story about a new app that lets you learn harmony. Now, if I could only sing.

I know. We love this little guy.

Yup. Shades of the situation in So. California. In Ashland the coyote around us were well fed, not that they would have gone after our big dogs.

I feel bad for them but not enough that I want them killing our dogs.
-
This afternoon we went to the movie theater in town and saw "A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood". We were all very moved by the story and performances.
-
As for Tom Hanks, wow.
-
After the movie we went out for dinner.
-
We had a very good time.
-
The wife is my walking partner though we haven't been able to walk together all that much lately.

Page 3?

What is this page 3 malarkey?

Did the coyotes get everyone?
-
Dancing went fairly well tonight. I was just a little tired.
-
But after three hours of dancing earlier in the day, I think that's OK.
-
I only worked on the dances for next week's competition.
-
Watching the documentary Raul Julia: The World's a Stage. Wonderful story of him.
-
There are a lot of clips of his Taming of the Shrew with Meryl Streep. It was a Shakespeare in the Park production from way back when, and I remember watching a version of it on PBS with lots of backstage interviews. It was the best thing I think I had seen Streep in for decades, and Julia matches her every moment of the way.
-
I did get to see Julia in Nine. It was my first weekend in New York, and it remains one of the greatest theatrical experiences of my life. He was magic. The women were magic. The staging was magic. The music, the set, everything.

Let's move on ...

Finished with my viewing.

We were at the convention today

We were quite worn out by time we got home and we fell asleep in our respective recliners

Around 10 we woke up and a Vixdad did a taco bell run

Then we dozed off again while watching Hinterland

Good night, Vixmom!

I don't know that I learned much new about Raul Julia, but I had not seen a few of the early clips from his career. And I certainly enjoyed spending time with him again.

And now I'm off to bed.

Good night, all.

I think an Egg McMuffin looks disgusting. While this looks much better I still wouldn't want it.
