This afternoon I am attending the visitation for a casual friend....he and I appeared in a couple of shows together and his wife is a long time friend.
He had an interesting life.

So, it was in California at 37 minutes ago and it's supposed to be delivered to Tumwater by 11:00 pm tonight? Right. ::) Since it's being delivered to my work, I probably won't get it until Monday. The building's not open for deliveries tomorrow.

My director and I feel ours last night was the best we’ve ever known, so at least something good must be in the air.
Now, tonight and tomorrow night REALLY have to be good!
That meant I had to call AT&T and be lied to again by them. It seems though the account was canceled, they hadn't turned off the automatic payments, so, if I hadn't called, they would have taken money from my account until I did call.
I was talking with a woman recently who retired from AT&T and she had to cancel her service for many of the same reasons that I had, including worst customer service on the planet. "They can continue to give me my pension, but they aren't going to give me phone service anymore," she said.
Then they lied to me and said that the bill I received this morning had actually been received before I canceled the service.
I wonder if the lying constantly makes them feel better about working for a morally bankrupt company.

DR George, I received today a package I was expecting on Tuesday from Amazon. It got delayed because of the weather.

I left AT&T several years ago, in disgust over the poor customer service and high price for cell service. But I hadn't been with T-Mobile very long before I experienced customer service that was even worse. I'm now back with AT&T and haven't had any problems--and am paying much less than T-Mobile. I even found a very nice and helpful person at one of the AT&T stores.
I considered Consumer Cellular, but their reps--at least in my area--all work out of Target stores. I question how much service you'd get from them. If anyone has any experience with Consumer Cellular I'd be interested in hearing it. We all depend on our phones, but good options seem difficult to come by.
