I have no plans for this weekend. I plan to spend some time today listening to The New Yorkers and looking for score paper to hold 4 reeds, 2 horns, 2 trumpets, 3 trombones, piano, harp, percussion, and strings. My friend Patrick should be sending my first score by Monday and I want to be ready.

I obviously don’t have to know this myself, but I’m always fascinated with good tools of a trade. Where does one get good score paper these days? How about over the years? I’d guess from online sources nowadays? Juilliard store? Patelson or Carl Fischer in the past?
The New Yorkers arrived yesterday. Nice shout out in the booklet, Larry.

When Associated Music closed around 2000, I lost my favorite source for score paper. I occasionally went to Colony Music - now dead as well - and then I started keeping a reference copyh of each paper I liked, and now I take the reference copy to Staples and run off 11x17 copies on the photocopier.
My late friend Judy Green was the West Coast equivalent of Associated Music, and her company was the copyist for a lot of film work and rthe Boston Pops, which is how I got to know her. Her music paper business still exists:

Happy Birthday to DR Jane!
May you have a lovely day!
Every morning, for the past week, I've found pieces of my clothing on the floor around the apartment. Today, as I watched, Stella climbed onto my bed, took the sleeve of my sweatshirt in her mouth, and dragged it off the bed and across the floor.
DR elmore I hope they fix the leak before it gets worse. No responses yet on the photos?
GOOD VIBES!
The New Yorkers CD sounds spectacular! The final mix sounded good on the computer, but the CD blows it out of the water.
Seet photo of Neve who is probably happy DR George has been home more than usual.
About an hour ago my bathroom ceiling was leaking like mad, so I took several photos on my cell phone. I sorta aimed the camera in the direction of the ceiling since I cannot stand up straight enough to look at the ceiling. This is directly above my sink.

The good news is that Nicky has eaten some of his diabetic food.
Oh wait, I think that is a different website!
There was a pause, then one woman rang in, “Who is Phyllis Diller?”
I am still laughing.
MRS. DOUBTFIRE is such a hit in Seattle, that it has been extended into January before coming to Broadway.

I just read an article about concern for the show after Tootsie did well in Seattle but not on Broadway, because both of them are about a man in drag.
