So, no work was done this week to repair the leak. I immediately turned on the computer and sent management an angry email. I mentioned the fact that I was concerned about the water's being clean or dirty, and if nothing's done I will call the Board of Health to come and test it.

I had dreams I no longer remember, but I do remember that I dreamed about a friend from first grade, Paul Walker, and his wife, whom I've known since junior high school. I have no idea why I dreamed about them.

My friend Patrick should be sending my first score by Monday and I want to be ready.

When Associated Music closed around 2000, I lost my favorite source for score paper. I occasionally went to Colony Music - now dead as well - and then I started keeping a reference copyh of each paper I liked, and now I take the reference copy to Staples and run off 11x17 copies on the photocopier.

My late friend Judy Green was the West Coast equivalent of Associated Music, and her company was the copyist for a lot of film work and the Boston Pops, which is how I got to know her. Her music paper business still exists:

A couple of years ago I got through the first round of tutorials before hitting a wall. But I was also on my Windows laptop and that was becoming frustrating because I think you ideally want a regular keyboard for working in Finale. Now I have the MacBook AND a regular Apple keyboard with numeric keypad, and I’ve already determined that every musical application will be done on the Mac, so I’m simply going to start again and give it a whirl.

I sorta aimed the camera in the direction of the ceiling since I cannot stand up straight enough to look at the ceiling. This is directly above my sink.

Thank you. Aside from the rain I am having a lovely day. I didn't want to go to the gym so we went to the clubhouse. It is good we did, and that we were the only ones in there. First had a nice long chat with Craig while I walked on the treadmill, then I had a short chat with my brother until it was time to get off of the treadmill.

Now I get one day of rest. I’m even playing hooky from a friend’s Christmas concert, I’m sorry to say, in order to really have that day. Because on Monday we begin rehearsals for the next show going up at the end of January. We have rehearsals again on Tuesday and Wednesday, then we’re back at the current show Thursday through Sunday. That’s followed by another week of same. I shall insist on a night off somewhere in there.

Someone had been in our booth and changed the sound levels on the board for some party they had in the afternoon and didn't mention it. So, the doorbells and phone rings were like Godzilla. At intermission I got that straightened out. But the show itself was like molasses, save for Barry, who came on and took charge of act three. It was half a house, which is very good for this theater on the second night. So, I'll send a few notes to a few people and hopefully we'll be back on track for the matinee.
