Well, you've read the notes, the notes were there but for you they went, and now it is time for you to post until the but for you I go cows.
-
And the word of the day is: ELIXIR!
-
First post after BK.
-
Well, I've downloaded a whole bunch of different sound effects. Hopefully the director will like some of them...or at least, enough of them.
-
Now, I need some pre-show and intermission music. My first thought is classical music inspired by Shakespeare, like the ballet of Romeo and Juliet...things like that. I found this article: The Best Classical Music Inspired By Shakespeare (https://parkersymphony.org/shakespeare-in-music), that has YouTube clips! My work here is done! ;D
-
Hopefully. ::)
;)
-
Tonight, I'm working concessions for Black Box Jazz: Greg Williamson (https://www.washingtoncenter.org/event/20-01-10-bbj-greg-williamson/). Since it's a jazz performance and in the Black Box, it'll have a totally different crowd than those who usually come to "the theater." Most people who come to these want their booze, and since I won't be serving that (they have a separate bartender and a full bar), I probably won't be doing too much, which is fine with me. :)
-
And now, I'm off to bed.
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept well, I am happy to report.
-
DR Jane, I saw your post but I cannot find Wildside Salmon cat treats on Amazon's Whole Foods.
-
I received a Christmas check yesterday, so ny first stop this morning is the bank. I must also stop at the post office before I go to this morning's reading of the Kurt Weill-Alan Jay Lerner Love Life.
-
DR Laura, doesn't Sandra live at home these days?
-
After all of yesterday's play choices, I had to go back and reread BK's post. I don't know what I read, but it sure wasn't plays with casts of six and under! After looking at all the lists, I realized that outside of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? I had enjoyed many plays with small casts, my favorite plays had larger casts.
-
I keep thinking today is Saturday.
-
Good morning.
-
Elmore, I re-homed her.
-
Elmore, I re-homed her.
LOL!
-
Kitty cleanup is finished. I need to vacuum the bathroom after 9:00.
-
Elmore, I re-homed her.
:D
-
Good morning all
-
I was all worn out with the excitement of the past few days and suddenly fell into a coma like sleep right after dinner
-
Didn’t wake up until 7:30 this morning
-
First, my meds and making the bed.
-
Good morning, all.
-
Good morning, all.
-
I’ve got to have blood work done this morning.
-
All I want to do is sleep. But JB is calling.
-
Happy Friday, everyone.
Enjoyed a small but feel-good sleeping in, and looking forward to a me day.
-
Screaming is more like it.

John, while you were by the Texas Roadhouse headquarters did you go in to see my statue?

Ha! How sexist is that? Is there a body-shaming statue of man eating?
-
I do not know Love Life. Let’s see, that’s in March...
-
Maybe we could plan a HHW get-together for that one?
-
I have no flexibility on Mack & Mabel. I’m only free to attend on Wednesday or Thursday.
-
T.O.D.
I have seven Netflix movies on my "to watch" list:
KILL THE IRISHMAN
DOLEMITE IS MY NAME
LIKE FATHER
IN THE SHADOW OF THE MOON
OUR SOULS AT NIGHT
TALL GIRL
EXTREMELY WICKED, SHOCKINGLY EVIL AND VILE
Anybody seen any of these?
-
DR DRUXY sorry to hear about Edd Byrnes. I liked his book and he was always a good dependable actor.
AND in GREASE at the end of "Born to Hand Jive" he did a front hand spring into the shot! I was astonished! Usually you can't see it on TV versions, but on the widescreen version it's there to enjoy!
-
Writing vibes to MR BK.....remember Atlas Shrugged is 1069 pages long - so you have a way to go.
Tall Miss Preen vibes for MR BK & Cast. My Miss Preen was rather hefty and I could not lift her....so we danced in.....
-
I've got my priority mail package ready for the Post office, so now I can vacuum the bathroom.
-
I'm waiting for a return call, so I'm stuck here at the moment and not happy about it.

Nice poster George.
-
DR George it was cold when we were in Greenland.
-
DR Jane, I saw your post but I cannot find Wildside Salmon cat treats on Amazon's Whole Foods.
I went to Amazon, added it to my cart. Opened my cart and it took me to the
Whole Foods page I copied and posted here. I didn't continue so I can't be sure about completing the order.
-
Elmore, I re-homed her.
😄 I too thought she lived at home.

-
DR elmore was the price I showed higher than what you previously paid for the treats?
-
Maybe we have to wait until the salmon are running again.
-
I do not know Love Life. Let’s see, that’s in March...
Great score. Book’s all over the map. Here I’ll Stay is a favorite song of mine.
-
I'm up, I'm up - around seven-and-a-half hours of sleep.
-
I feel like a pinball getting bounced about today.

Got me a fancy country-western shirt today. Perfect fit.
-
I doubt I look like that in it.
-
TOD
I’m ushering for the symphony tonight. I’ve got the rest of Once Upon a ... Hollywood to watch. If I have time, I will watch either the Linda Rondstat documentary or an all-female production of The Tempest.
-
Nice poster George.
I don't know who designed it, but all of their posters are in that format. When you see their posters, you can tell right away that it's a show at Olympia Little Theatre.

I’ve been upset all day about the news that Marianne Williamson has dropped out of the race.
-
Okay. Not really. Well, not at all.
-
Really liking Normal People. Want to read Sally Rooney’s other book, Conversations eith Friends.
-
Rehearsal ran long (what else is new) then I got mail and some Popeye's and I have not done one lick of work on the book, which begins NOW.
-
And I'm home! It's been a long day.
-

I never saw a link to a Whole Foods page, only something about a price of $9.99/
-
However, I did get a response from the WildSide Salmon folk to my inquiry on their website:
Hi Larry, I am sorry for your pain, believe me we are totally frustrated as well. After working with our current freeze dryer for several years ( in the middle of production) have decided they cannot complete our project.
We are scrambling to find another facility & keep things going.
-
At least they responded. That’s good customer service.
-
Okay. Not really. Well, not at all.
LOL. I think I am relieved.
-
At least they responded. That’s good customer service.
Yes. I am also guessing that is why the price went up, if Whole Foods really has it.

Just checked out the program for the symphony tonight. Two by Brahms: first symphony and Song of Destiny. Two by Wagner: Ride of the Valkyries and selections from Die Meistersinger.
-
Today's laugh.
-
I have such a craving for chocolate, and there's nothing in the apartment.

Debbie Gravitte, Scarlett Strallen and Hugh Panero will be singing with the symphony in two weeks.

Really?? I'm jealous! I don't doubt that it'll be a great show!

When are you going to rest?
-
Well, it's time for me to head to the theater for some jazz and concessioning.
Be back later.

Friday evening greetings! My friend-filled week ended with a spectacular lunch reunion with 3 other retired librarians. We'd all been academic library administrators in the late 1970s/early 1980s, representing Miami University, The University of Cincinnati, Xavier University, and Northern Kentucky University. We kind of lost touch, but reconnected through Facebook and Goodreads (of course!). We had a 3-hour lunch today and made plans to meet again in a couple of months.
-
Ginny your afternoon reconnecting with friends sounds wonderful.
-
I like three hour lunches with friends, although sometimes I think the wait staff feels differently......we never over stay if there are people waiting for a table.....
-
Although I guess it does cut the tip potential down because they turn the table over - so to speak.
-
Lots of good basketball games on tonight AND three Rock Hudson-Douglas Sirk movies on TCM.
-
In case you missed my FaceBook post this morning, I am stepping down from my Royal Duties to concentrate on winning my fifth Upstage Award....

When are you going to rest?
Rest is a four-letter word.
-
Let's move on ...
-
Four!
-
So, Elmore, do you know Scarlett?
-
I don't know who's singing what in the concert, but I would assume Debbie is singing Don't Rain on My Parade.
The program is being billed as a Lloyd Webber/Sondheim concert, but there were only two Sondheim songs ("Send in the Clowns" and "Getting Married Today") and the second half of the concert is all Lloyd Webber.
-
The rest includes Luck Be a Lady, Another Op'ning, Snother Show, Ya Got Trouble and I forget what all else.

When are you going to rest?
Rest is a four-letter word.
One I believe in.
-
Guess I'll try that rest thing.
-
Good night, all.
-
Rest/sleep well.
-
Hello.
-
I have a terrible cold.
-
I went to bed at 6:00 pm.
-
I wanted to take some nighttime cold medicine.
-
But I knew if I took it then, I wouldn’t be able to take it at my real bedtime.
-
Suddenly, I wasn’t able to write another post.
-
It was, as if, the day was closed.
-
It could just be the computer’s reaction to my boring posts.
-
So, Iran has admitted their error.
-
I am glad that they took responsility.
-
Too bad they don’t have any Iranians working for Boeing.
-
I hope this remains just a cold.
-
My condo feels pretty well insulated.
-
I do need some additional insulation around the front door.
-
I didn’t even go out and get the mail today.
-
I am supposed to meet my friend tomorrow morning for breakfast.
-
I will see how I feel in the morning.
-
I will need to eat, but I have lots of soup at home.
-
A good breakfast sounds good.
-
Oh well, we shall see what the morning brings.
-
UNDERPANTS
-
One more post.

Well, I'm having a hard time keeping my eyes open, so I'm off to bed. 8)
Have a good Saturday, all!
