Title: KRITZERLAND AT VITELLO'S 103
Post by: bk on January 20, 2020, 12:15:04 AM
Well, you've read the notes, the notes spoke of Kritzerland at Vitello’s 103, and now it is time for you to post until the 103 cows come home.

I cannot tell a lie.  Tracy and I are not going to auditions, we have been asked to attend callbacks.

However, I have always thought it was stupid to have actors take up space at auditions, if the actors have already worked for the director.

Today, I will stay home and work on making another Blu-ray, do some laundry and watch TV.  That's pretty much it.  But now, I'm off to bed.

Have a good day, all!

Can't really talk about it in the notes, but it was just a pointless thing from start to finish.  Sometimes having an eye and soliciting help is the best idea for club acts.  It's surprising how many don't do it.

Last night I had two dreams I remember.  In the first, I was working on the Miami University Library Staff, a job I had from 09/1970-08/1971.  My boss was a wonderful lady, Helen Ball, and I still consider her one of the best employers I ever worked for.  My co-worker in the dream was John Hendrickson, with whom I worked at an office & art supplies shop in 1977 or thereabouts.

In the second dream, I was living with my parents in some great, posh hotel in San Francisco in the 1920s.  Annabelle, Thatch, and Stella were with me, and I had decided to adopt a little pit bull I was fostering.  So, part of the dream was about the dog, the adoption, and purchasing necessary items from toys to leash.  Also living in the hotel were a dotty older woman, a young girl named Midge who had poor taste in boyfriends, a woman who had a missing daughter.

I woke up thinking, was this a TV series?

Is this your first?  I think I've got five or six great-nieces and nephews by now.  My bitch niece who's on The Real Housewives of Orange County has one or two children now, I think.

I have no plans today, none.  I'll talk to Joshie at some point and hear how his DC trip went.  Then I'll spend the day either working on the Sondheim variations, which aren't going well, or my taxes.

Quiet day at HHW.

DR TCB congrats on the callback!

Speaking as a director there are certain people - and they always do - say when reading the cast list: "I didn't see them at auditions....when did THEY audition?"

As if it is any of their GD business.

I am trying not to be passionate or obsessed about candy these days.  I do like my Café Latté Lollypops from See's.  To avoid eating boxes of the little pops I have been breaking up a sucker & making it last longer.  If I go into the store I am just getting one dark chocolate chocolate cream.  I used to not like the dark chocolate & only loved the milk chocolate one.  I have taught myself to appreciate the dark chocolate, though the inside is still milk chocolate, to avoid refluxing from the candy.

Thanks to BK for making me learn that the classic song, "Johnny Get Angry," was written by Hal David and Sherman Edwards of 1776 fame. I once heard k.d. lang sing that in concert, and she would whip herself down to the stage floor with her microphone cord while hitting some wild, wild notes. It was a wow.

I think we may buy a Bosch.  It’s quite expensive at over $1000 but it seems so much bette4 made than the others.  We were looking at a Maytag and whirlpool which were less expensive but the plate trays were much flimsier , the doors were not so solid and all around seemed like they would need to be replaced in a few years
