Well, you've read the notes, the notes had informative Polish information, and now it is time for you to post until the Polish cows come home.

I had a very bad night of sleep, and I'm blaming Annabelle for setting her pudgy butt right in the center of my bed and forcing me to sleep around her,  Around 2:00 I moved her but within minutes she had maneuvered her way back to the bed's center.

The second reason I slept badly was because I had a lot of contemplation of the current state of Babes In Toyland to deal with.  There's a side of me that wants to say junk it, forget about it, too much more work, and there's a side that says you started it, finish it.  It's so hard trying to reconcile John McGlinn's poorly researched recording with the edition.

At some point I did sleep.  I had a strange dream about a Christmas party/dinner at either Milla's or Rozanne's apartment.  I also had a dream of being at some sort of bazaar in a dept. store with floors and floors of used items for sale while I rode the elevator looking for some lady friend.  In my last dream, I was in a lecture hall.  My brother Randy was with me but we were sitting in different sections.  My friend Jeffrey, whom I've not seen since around 1990, was one of the speakers.  After the lecture, I couldn't find Randy, but I ran into Jeffrey, and we walked back toward my home in Middletown, OH, trying to find him.  I called Randy on my cell phone and learned that my mother had gone to Florida.

Our route was the walk I used to make from Roosevelt Junior High to my home.

My right eye is bothering me.  The lower lid/eyeball is very sore and tender to the touch.  I looked at the CDC.gov symptoms for the virus and none of them relate to the eyes, so I'm hoping it's a minor infection.

BONJOUR TRISTESSE is a beauty, and I remember BK and I and a roomful of people getting our first look at that disc at the Home Theater meetup in Burbank. Nick and Julie showed us a few minutes of it (and probably a couple of other things) on a high quality projector and screen setup the HTF group had there for something else. I hadn’t seen the film but once many years prior, and it was a mouth watering revelation.

Okay, this is crazy. I have that JULIA, too, and don’t remember getting it or even thinking about getting it.

And I have GUN FURY because I was routinely getting a lot of 3D titles, or at least the vintage stuff. But did I watch it? I don’t think so. I’ll take it out. I haven’t given any 3D a spin in a while, so what the heck.

We had our meeting on Webex and didn't have any problems....although it has a computer option, anyone on the computer got a lot of echo and feedback.  If you used the telephone option, things were fine.  And NO hackers.  There is a Password and Meeting Entrance Number - they are automatically entered for you when you click a link in the email sent to you by the Meeting host......

We are now doing only two shows.......You Can't Take It With You in August [auditions in June] and Anything Goes in September [auditions in July]......this is tentative of course and no real announcement will be made until later this month or April.

It may not happen.

I think what the directors of the show DR TCB is in are doing is completely crazy - and it is amazingly tone deaf to the times AND an insult to the cast.....and basically impossible to presenting a good show.

But that's just my thought.

I think JULIA is a terrific movie.  Jason Robards and Vanessa Redgrave certainly deserved their Oscars, though I was certainly turned -off by Redgrave's acceptance speech.

GUN FURY, as I recall, is an okay Western.

I loved that movie when it came out. I was sad to learn that it was likely all made up, that most of Hellman’s Pentimento was fictional.

I went to Target to check on their delivery, which is only for orders over $35.00, but half their stock is out.  Since all I want is really worth no more than $10, it isn't worth it.  With delivery charges and tax, a $35.00 order comes to over $50 and that's ridiculous.

I am glad I did a baseline temperature awhile back.  Now when I wake up with scary symptoms, kind of normal for me but potential virus symptoms, I check 3 things.
1. Sniff to be sure I can smell
2. Take a deep breath
3. Take my temperature.

Actually every day I have been doing breathing exercises because of my mild cough which is now going on 5 months.

Why not estimate cost to complete realistically based on having to deal with all those problems?  That way, you could if ever frustrated see it as a job that is worth the frustration.

When you don't really want the work badly, you have "hand" as Seinfeld would have said.

Toilet paper hysteria has been replaced with mask hysteria.  Someone actually said, "If you're not wearing a mask and someone sneezes directly on you, you'll get it."  Since there's a shortage of the real masks where they actually need them, if you're wearing any other kind of mask and someone is close enough to sneeze on you, you're getting it anyway.  Now people are wearing goggles and trying to cover every inch of their skin, but sill aren't within six feet of anyone so to what end?  But our mayor here is feeding this beast daily, and you can't argue with people on Facebook because they're like a herd of panicked dogs.

I had kitty mutiny tonight.  I tried to feed them Fancy Feast Marinated Beef Morsels, and all three cats refused to go near it.  So I finally admitted defeat, washed out their bowls and gave them a mixup of Fancy Feast Grilled Salmon and Fancy Feast Grilled Salmon & Shrimp.  It was like kitty crack. So, then I did what I've postponed for the past two days; I climbed the Big Ladder and pulled down 24 assorted cans of food.  I expect no more mutinies until these cans run low.

My sister makes pretty good deviled eggs, and usually too many for any gathering, so when I take home some leftovers, I may eat some of them, but to be different, I usually add a little mustard and pepper (necessary based on her deviled eggs recipe), cut them up an have some sandwiches!

If you wear a mask and the other person wears a mask there is more protection.  If you wear goggles not only the virus can't it get into your eyes, you can't touch your eyes with germy hands.

Before it was stated you only need to wear a mask if you are sick, however, by the time you know you are sick others have been exposed.    I think this is the real reason for the current push to wear masks.

Scary DR GINNY.

Two policeman were called to my neighborhood yesterday because two men were in the yard of the house behind mine....they had pulled up in a truck with a home made trailer pulled behind it.

They tried the front door and then proceeded to go into the backyard.

Oh...it's was me who called the police.  When they came one of the men showed the policeman a piece of paper and the police left....then the man waved to me as I was standing in the door....

It COULD have been something.....might have been something.....well it was nothing....

Dr Ginny how are Rob & Mary Linda doing?

They called last night, just as we were sitting down to a late supper.  They were eating take-out, so we had dinner with them.  She's working entirely from home and has been almost since they moved.  Rob still goes in, but his major responsibility (because he has medical training) is to watch the governor's daily briefing for info pertinent to company operations.  He showers and changes clothes as soon as he gets home.  They are continuing to unpack and get settled.  The crib we ordered should arrive tomorrow  :D

If you're not near anyone what's the point???  Now it gets in your eyes by osmosis?  Sorry, I'm not buying into this one.

I've been very indecisive about food.  I called Barone's to do that - no one minding the store and no answering machine, plus some disastrous Yelp  reviews about how they do pick up, so that's now a no-go.  So, I picked up a package, came home, went to Door Dash and literally could not find anything under twenty dollars and that was for McDonald's and I can drive there.  So, I made eggs in tortillas - two - and ate them.  Not satisfying or anything I really wanted, but I just couldn't make more pasta.  The good news is that the two egg/tortilla things were only 420 calories.

Does this help?

"COVID-19 is believed to spread through respiratory droplets when an infected person coughs or sneezes, or from coming into contact with an infected surface and then touching your eyes, nose or mouth.

There’s some evidence that COVID-19 may also be transmitted through much smaller airborne droplets in “very specific circumstances and settings,” such as “aerosolizing” medical procedures that cause the person cough or spit, such as suctioning or intubation, according to the WHO.

And in a letter to the White House, Harvey Fineberg, chairman of the National Academy of Sciences Standing Committee on Emerging Infectious Diseases and 21st Century Health Threats, also said that aerosolized droplets can be produced by simply talking or breathing, CNN reported Thursday. “Currently available research supports the possibility that [coronavirus] could be spread via bioaerosols generated directly by patients’ exhalation,” he wrote."

I've read it all, dear Jane.  I'm saying that if you're not near anyone goggles are irrelevant as are masks.  If you're intending to stand close to folks, sure, wear 'em.  But to walk around in a mask and goggles when your solo and no one is anywhere near you?  Sorry, not for me.  As to touching your eyes after someone has breathed on you or sneezed on you or coughed on you at close range, I haven't had that issue and I don't really touch my eyes too much under any circumstances.

I never considered the mask or goggles unless you were near other people.

For now we do not plan to wear masks when we walk, only for shopping if we can get some.  It would be the same for goggles, which I won't tolerated well anyway.  I do have prescription ones for swimming if it comes down to that.  They really hurt after awhile.

Once the weather warms up we may be forced to wear masks to walk, or walk in the street to avoid people.

I like the idea of wearing home made masks.  If only I could sew.

Lots of people are making homemade masks these days and donating them to local hospitals and others who really need them. Once those who need them have all they need I'd like to see some cute and fun masks.

Once Covid is finally over I hope that people who are sick and go to work or out in public will at least wear a mask. I hope by then it will be standard procedure to wear one when ill.

Jane, do you know any dressmakers? Masks aren't difficult to make. You could have some fun ones custom-made. I suspect we'll see some websites soon doing just that. I really like the idea of using shoe laces for the straps.

My allergy mask uses a special fabric that is designed to keep out pollen and dust, then it's lined with another fabric. I bought it on Amazon a couple years ago, but couldn't find it the other day. Mask-making could soon become a cottage industry.

I wish stories would state if the person has been tested or not and if they have the results.

On the upside I have read of 3 people, ages 101, 103, and 104 surviving.

I think what the directors of the show DR TCB is in are doing is completely crazy - and it is amazingly tone deaf to the times AND an insult to the cast.....and basically impossible to presenting a good show.

But that's just my thought.

Well, our state’s governor earned himself my vote in November.  This afternoon, he extended our shut down thru May 4.  Two hours later, Plan C was out the window and Plan D was approved.  We will now open (tentatively) July 17 and run thru August 9.

I boiled eggs today. I’m debating between deviled eggs and egg salad.

Actually, I had my heart set on potato salad.

I haven't gotten any change of schedule for Mamma Mia!, yet, so I assume it is what it's going to be...unless it changes.

That looks good - where is it from?  Can't read the name.  Want one NOW.

It's from Meconi's Subs (https://www.meconissubs.com/), here in the Olympia/Lacey/Tumwater area.

What exit do you take to get to the Tumwater Merconi’s?

Exit 101...NOT the Highway 101 interchange, which is three or four miles north.
