Well, you've read the notes, the notes tubthumped Mr. Otmar von Schmicter, and now it is time for you to post until the Otmar von Schmicter cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: DULCIFY!
-
That was a sad story about Otmar von Schmichter.
And a great story about the story. ;)
-
Well, I'm off to bed.
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, all!
-
I slept well until 4:00 when Stella created a ruckus. She is a problem child.
-
DR TCB, I am so sorry the pain is so bad. I have occasional days where I make loud utterances from the sharp pains but I have yet to scream. I wish I could do something.
-
DR JohnG, thanks for the link to the Britten. It's an opera, like Britten's three church parables, that I find hard to cozy up to. On the other hand I find Peter Grimes, Albert Herring, Gloriana, Turn of the Screw, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and his version of The Beggar's Opera quite wonderful.
-
I have no plans today, so I believe the cats and I will revel in our slothdom and lazily lie about and do very little.
-
Last night, because I had wanted to see it in theatres and missed it, I watched Shazam, which I'd heard was a lot of fun. After thirty minutes I turned it off. I found it murky with too many openings and too much CGI, and by the time Zachary Levi, who was funny and charming, showed up as Captan Marvel I had had enough. I read the new issue of Gramophone instead.
-
Good morning, all.

Midsummer is also on that site.
-
The workers are here.
-
The tree trimmers come later.
-
I like the music service DULCIFY - it has a lot of songs available on it.
-
My favorite Von Schmicter film is THE MAJOR AND THE MINER about the young boy who pretends he is older so he can work with his father digging coal....most amusing.
-
Sounds like the Kritzerland shows are getting better and better.
-
More 90 degree heat around these parts today.
-
T.O.D.
Since we are in a Sherlock Holmes mood, I may watch MURDER BY DECREE this evening.
-
I also enjoy "The Small House of Danny Thomas."
-
Friday morning greetings! Quiet weekend ahead...
-
The 2 things on my agenda for today are:
1) baking cinnamon pecan coffee cakes, 1 to eat and 2 to freeze, and
2) signing some DAR paperwork for a friend who will visit me in my front porch office this afternoon.
-
I also enjoy "The Small House of Danny Thomas."
LOL! It's even funnier when you know what a nasty piece of work Marlo is!
-
Stella, Thatch and I have been slothful, and I will return to my inertia as soon as I place and receive a grocery order.
-
I must be in a July 4 state of mind. I'm thinking about hot dogs and baked beans for dinner and craving potato salad and cheeseburgers.
-

I'm craving potato salad, too. Been looking through cookbooks for a recipe I want to try. I'm picky though, about my potato salad. No Velveeta and mayo combinations (one recipe), no Miracle Whip (way too many Texas recipes), no canned peaches.
-

Otmar von Schmicter is the name of my next cat.

DR Elmore, we've had 3 of those 4 things already this week. And we would have had the 4th if I'd remembered to order hot dogs from Kroger. Tonight's a pizza night, I think.
-
Watching the rest of Les Blancs now. Really epic. Devastating.
-
I will confess, we bought the potato salad we ate this week. It's one thing I've never made, mostly because I didn't want to compete with my mother, my mother-in-law, my sister, and my niece. Now it's because it just seems like too much work.
We also bought the baked beans, but I do make my own from a recipe I've used since college days.
-
I must be in a July 4 state of mind. I'm thinking about hot dogs and baked beans for dinner and craving potato salad and cheeseburgers.
My mother's recipe was essentially the potatoes, chopped green olives, sweet pickle, celery, and hard-boiled egg. I think her dressing was a mix of mustard and mayo.

Page 2 Dance!
-
TOD - We've been binge-watching the British detective series LEWIS, based in Oxford (England), while we confront the reality that it's probably the only way, now, that we'll ever see that community :(
One of the things I picked up at the library was ROCKETMAN, the Elton John movie. I've watched it once, but might watch again before returning it. This weekend we'll probably also watch 1776 and INDEPENDENCE DAY, traditional fare in our household.
-
Good morning, all.

I adopted a nice full score of Death in Venice at the McGlinnventory, but I'm guilty of not really knowing it. I'm low on Britten scores. I have my old vocal score to Albert Herring that I studied and possibly played from in the pit at school, and a PDF copy of The Turn of the Screw.

I always thought Schmichter's son John did a nice job with that musical about the nudies.

Velveeta in potato salad??
Peaches?
WTF is going on here? Is our DR John G. having a nightmare?
-
I probably haven't tasted Miracle Whip since living with my parents. I guess serious mayo aficionados deride it, but are there, in fact, some decent uses for it?
-
I'm craving those foods too, DR Elmore, and I think we're stocked up on them for the weekend. Except for baked beans, but I'm thinking there might be a can of a brand I really like still lurking in the back of a cupboard.
It will be store-bought potato salad, though. I've never learned to make it, either, and I should do that because even though I'll eat whatever's put in front of me, there are very few of them that I can honestly say I've loved. And I couldn't even tell you now whose those were, so I'll really be starting from square one.
-
DR Ginny, around here it's 1776, The Music Man, and sometimes Independence Day. It's funny, while we own the best physical copies of these, at times like this we tend to just have the TV on when TCM or someone is showing them.
I have yet to see Rocketman, and I know I should. I've even been told I'd probably really like it.
-
Okay, you all have gotten to me. I've taken the Sherlock Holmes Collection off the shelf and placed it on my burgeoning to-watch pile.
-

Store-bought potato salad, though. I've never made it either, and I should because there are few that I can honestly say I love.
Deli potato salad is so boring and plain. My mother's sister Jean used to make wonderful German potato salad.
-
Yes, it would have to be along the lines of a good German potato salad.
-
I think I'll listen to Dearest Enemy tomorrow to celebrate the Fourth.
-
BK mentioned The Crucible along with other CRI recordings. I wonder if I still have a few of those original LPs. Was CRI the label that featured Donald Erb - who I knew, however slightly, at the Cleveland Institute?
But I need to listen to the Robert Ward again. And I'm again reminded I never did get a score. That needs be returned to the active want list.
-
I think I'll listen to Dearest Enemy tomorrow to celebrate the Fourth.
Well now, THAT is a capital idea!

Potato salad is one of those dishes that divides many people, like chili. Everyone's is different. I grew up with hot German potato salad. I don't think I had mayo- or mustard-based potato salad until I was an adult. And it took me awhile before I liked anything but Mom's.
But I also think it's why I like experimenting by trying other people's potato salads. There's a world of recipes out there.
-

Catching flies?
It has an overly sweet taste to it, but there's something acrid, almost decayed that's just underneath. No. No. No.
-
You can tell I don't like it much.
-

Just going through my cookbook collection. Lot of church and junior league cookbooks. Sometimes I think they kid. But, no.
-
I'm thinking of watching epic westerns for the holiday. I've got Once Upon a Time in the West, The Searchers and Lonesome Dove all ready to go.
-
From DR TCB:
I used my CBD cream (Solace) on my neck and it has really helped. Still in pain, but I can move.
Moving is good. I would try it if I could order it by mail.
-

I can't imagine a decent use for it ;D
-
I think DR ELMORE sent me DEAREST ENEMY.....I don't imagine I would have it otherwise.
-
I may broil some Spam.
It's the champagne of canned meats.
-
Or some hotdogs.....
-
I may broil some Spam.
It's the champagne of canned meats.
Why not float it in some lime gelatin. Maybe add some pimento-stuffed olive and lima beans. Then top with a soupcon of Miracle Whip.
-
Don't forget a few cubes of Velveeta in there, too.
-
I'm an hour into Once Upon a Time in the West. Forgot just how good this movie is.
-
Three!
-
This is reminding me of several outrageous "church ladies" cookbooks I collected from yard sales and flea markets a while back. I finally gave them to someone who had the same morbid fascination. This was years before I knew you, DR John G., or you could have added them to your own collection. But you've probably seen 'em all anyway.
-
Thank you all for the heads up regarding Miracle Whip. I shall not soil my several decades of purity by going near it, even experimentally.
-
OMG THIS IS A SATURDAY. I SWEAR IT!
-
It's only around 80 degrees, and overcast, but I just mowed the fairly small "lawn" area around my house and I'm sweating like a pig.
You all needed to know that, so there it is.
-
Two hours to dinner and I am under attack from the Three Hungry Kittens, who have all risen from their torpor to wreak havoc on a reluctant Daddy.
-
I got a lovely email from my British conductor friend about the orchestration I sent him. It may end up on a recording next year.
-
Our contingent is served three meals - at approximately 8 am, 3 pm, 10 pm. The official feline assembly and human torture period commences at least one hour prior to those times. I'm amazed that DR Elmore's cats tolerate all those hours between their dinner hour and the early morning meal. It's all in what they're used to, of course. But that sure sounds nice to me. Well, except for those early morning hours. I guess I wouldn't trade for that! :)
-
I got a lovely email from my British conductor friend about the orchestration I sent him. It may end up on a recording next year.
That would be so great. And again, what a wonderful gift.
-
I found at least one performance of The Nose on youtube and a couple of Lady Macbeth of Mtensk.

Did you ever see Florence Pugh in Lady Macbeth? It was this story. Excellent.
-
An answered prayer. I can start practicing to be a genuine 60s go-go dancer.

I completely forgot about the movie.

Thank you all for the heads up regarding Miracle Whip. I shall not soil my several decades of purity by going near it, even experimentally.
I find it shocking you have never had Miracle Whip. You might have without knowing it and didn't know it was the reason what you were eating tasted bad.
-
OMG THIS IS A SATURDAY. I SWEAR IT!
Please don't confuse me ;)
-
We went to Safeway for a few things and they had restocked the mayo section. I was able to get the right size of Keith's disgusting light Best Foods mayonnaise, however, they only had large or super small regular mayo. I am not ready to buy either and will continue wait.
-
After Safeway we went to a large cemetery to walk. It was interesting and was someplace new to explore.
-
DR JOHN G - there is no need to gild the lily as it were.
-
DR JANE if I read your post correctly - I am sorry you are not making your trip.
-
Thank you :(
-
I'm up, I'm up - seven hours of sleep - I didn't fall asleep until six - even though I was in bed by three.
-
The Potato Salad Divide - that's the title of my next novel.
-
I am blocking people on Facebook to the tune of ten or more a day. I am so tired of seeing bullshit, for being derided for having an opinion (gee, it's Facebook), and my latest when things get contentious is simple - I remove my post and the entire dialogue goes away.

Did you block the person or simply remove the conversation on a mutual friend's post that tagged you with a news story?
-
Bruce I am guessing you know who I am talking about.
-
Four!
-
It's funny, but I may not have seen Once Upon a Time in the West before. I think I was getting it confused with How the West Was Won all these years.
-
The local news channel may use some of my sister's photos she has taken.
She lives across the street from a protest that is happening this afternoon - accompanied of course by a counter-protest.....
-
We are a Miracle Whip household. Sorry. 8)
-
DR Jane, even though we can drive to Chicago, we’re still not sure going to visit is the right thing to do.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
TCB, I'm the one who mentioned your sister's husband.
We Js all look alike. ;)
-
I drove over to the bagel bakery. They were actually rather busy. Lots of people are out today.
-
I haven't heard anything about closing restaurants back down, but that doesn't surprise me as getting local updates has been difficult since the lockdown started. The bagel bakery doesn't have any seating, but I drove by a restaurant that had lots of customers dining in.
-
Have a nice 4th, everyone.
TTFN.
-
People are not willing to forgive success.
Great quote from Sergio Leone on why Once Upon a Time in the West was made.
-
The public library in Cincinnati opened some of its locations a couple of weeks ago. Today they announced they’re returning to curbside service only. I think we’re going to see more and more of this...
-

I hope the protests were peaceful.
-
DR Jane, even though we can drive to Chicago, we’re still not sure going to visit is the right thing to do.
Thank you for that.
If you do decide to go I suggest doing so before she is old enough to cry at people wearing masks. You can also wear a disposable gown.
-
TCB, I'm the one who mentioned your sister's husband.

Funny :)
-
DR JANE she said there was some hollering and one man got arrested. The promo on the 6 pm. news said the story would run at 11 p.m. so we shall see what we shall see.
-

Yes, sadly.

Take a photo of her during the interview.

Rite aid sent "me" an email to take a survey regarding my experience at the Scranton store.
-
I responded "I am not Rita and have not shopped in Scranton."
-
I received a response "Your message wasn't delivered to riteaid@qualtrics-survey.com because the address couldn't be found, or is unable to receive mail."
>:(
-
Of course I was surprised.
-
Jane, no this was something else. But that's my new thing - delete my original post and the entire conversation disappears.
-
Back from some travels. Went to my local Gelson's to get a steak - line to get in a half-block long. I'm sure it's because the morons of Sherman Oaks all wait till the last minute to get their July 4 crap. Left immediately and went to the nearby Panda Express for food. That was an eye opener - I got the special two plates one side thing that I always get, plus two vegetable spring rolls. Total with tax, just under eleven bucks. When I got home I went to DoorDash, ordered the exact same thing - total cost with tax, fees, and delivery? Twenty-five bucks. Never again. Even if you remove the delivery charge it's still nineteen bucks and change.
-
Lonesome Dove is six hours. I think that one may last more than a day.
-
JohnG, I agree with you on Miracle Whip, blech. But, remember, to be a genuine 60's go-go dancer, you need white go-go boots and a mini skirt.
-
I also must tell you I am really over this surreal science-fiction world in which we're living, a world of no smiles, no human interaction, no hugs, no nothing. People forget that there are actual people in the world who are not in a relationship, who don't live with anyone, and they don't give a crap about those people literally not having someone in person to interact with, no, it's always one response now - wear the effing mask. I understand the severity as put forth by the media and "science" and such, but I am distrustful of all of it. No, I don't think it's a left-wing plot or a commie plot, I merely think what is factual - that the "science" that we're supposed to take as gospel changes every two days. The dictums from mayors and governors change every two days. One day we hear the demonstrations that are still ongoing (a large one in downtown LA today) have shown no spike in cases but every day there's a new outrageous number put forth because people aren't doing what they should - and yet, no spike from the demonstrations, the party line being they're outdoors. Last I looked, the beach is outdoors so why do people have conniption fits when they have those photos of beaches that are not nearly as crowded as say 25,000 people packed like sardines in a half-mile of Hollywood Blvd. Can't have it all ways from Sunday, I'm afraid. Thank goodness Grant comes by every now and then. Sorry for the rant, but after four damn months of this, or is it now five or six, I want information I can trust and I'm not getting it. And the most amusing thing is that people on Facebook actually take GLEE in touting new case numbers and death tolls - a real "I told you so" GLEE. It's nauseating. And we can file this under "unpopular opinions."
-
Jane, no this was something else. But that's my new thing - delete my original post and the entire conversation disappears.
After asking I checked and it seemed you had deleted the conversation.
-
JohnG, I agree with you on Miracle Whip, blech. But, remember, to be a genuine 60's go-go dancer, you need white go-go boots and a mini skirt.
In my self-quarantine body, that might be considered obscene.
-
One more ...
-
Five!
-
Feel better vibes for DR TCB!!!!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
-
Jane, remind me exactly which or whose conversation. I've only done this new thing twice, both times today (well, last night and today).
-
TCB must feel better - we decree it.
-
Or do we decry it?
-
DR Jane I am so sorry that you will have to wait longer to see your grand-baby. Hopefully the time will come very soon.
-
Jane, remind me exactly which or whose conversation. I've only done this new thing twice, both times today (well, last night and today).
The article you were tagged with showing the protests did not increase the numbers. I had seen that before and also have my doubts.
-
DR Jane I am so sorry that you will have to wait longer to see your grand-baby. Hopefully the time will come very soon.
Thank you. The hardest part is knowing my chance of holding her as a baby is being lost. We are lucky to be able to video chat with her and look forward to the day we can read & do other activities with her.
-
Ah, yes, that was one that I deleted because idiots were piling on and rather than blocking all of them it was the simple push of the "delete" button to remove it all.
-
Bruce I agree with most of your rant. All the time I think of single people, especially those without pets. I know how very lucky I am to have someone to hug. I think of Craig who could be missing his last chance to meet someone and have a family.
I have a conniption fit whenever I see people out without masks, if they are playing or protesting, when they are not social distancing. Wearing masks seems to work. Is it foolproof, no but it really is all we have. I think it is fear more than glee motivating those posting the numbers and hoping they will convince people to wear masks.
I am absolutely convinced had people practiced social distancing and worn mask I would be leaving for Chicago in a few days. I cannot express the depth of my sorrow or anger over those that only made everything worse.
-
Ah, yes, that was one that I deleted because idiots were piling on and rather than blocking all of them it was the simple push of the "delete" button to remove it all.
I did not see the entire conversation before you deleted it. I did see where it was going. You were invited into that one yet your response was not appreciated. Keith keeps telling me not to respond on posts with my opinion as people only want responses that agree with them. I am learning who I can have discussions of different views with and who I can't.
-
Because of where we live we are lucky not to feel totally isolated. We see people outside and stop to talk. We do video chats with our children and best friends.
Bruce if we lived in LA we would probably go to friends, sit outside and visit. Have you thought about doing this? You could each get your own meals, sit a good distance away, chat and eat. Or just visit for awhile without eating. We know people doing this with family or a small number of friends. Do you have a yard where you live?
-
I received a text today. I can't believe anyone would even answer this question. "If you could vote for president today who would you choose, Bernie or Hillary".
-
Good afternoon.
-
John G., there is a youtube channel called "Glen and Friends Cooking." Sometimes he pulls out old church cookbooks and whips up a masterpiece.
-

Thank you. The hardest part is knowing my chance of holding her as a baby is being lost. We are lucky to be able to video chat with her and look forward to the day we can read & do other activities with her.
You, my friend Rebecca, and I are members of the same club. Her granddaughter was born in Atlanta in April.
-
Jane, are cases in Illinois going up? Is that why you aren't going?
-
Illinois is up as is the county that includes Chicago. Bryan says the numbers in Chicago are going down and his hospital isn't bad. Yet then he mentioned the danger of not always wearing protective clothing before diagnosing covid. He mentioned he had suspected someone that wasn't showing all the symptoms and fortunately put on his protective clothing as they had it.
All the time at the airports wearing masks, then 4.5 hours on a flight where hopefully everyone is wearing a mask. Then we have to get to the hotel and back. Bryan would pick us up but do we want to be in the car with him if we aren't all wearing masks. Then we could meet at a park or go to their place which makes us feel uncomfortable.
I wish Illinois did what a few other states have done and said if you come from the high risk states then you need to quarantine for 2 weeks.
Yes, odds are we could go and all would be fine. That certainly seems to be Bryan's opinion. If there was a quick test that was accurate we might feel safer going. Is it worth the risk to see her now when she doesn't know the difference. I don't know. Keith thinks not.
Physically this would be a very hard trip. Maybe we can look into renting an RV.
-
They have had offers from friends to babysit so at least they don't need us for that.
-
The friends are coworkers of Bryan's and don't worry about it.
-

You still have hope of holding a baby. I need to let go of it.
-
Could you drive, stay in motels along the way and in Chicago and meet them in the park?
-
I am taking my birding buddy to the airport next week. I am worried about sending her home on the plane. And yet, I feel like she should get out of Arizona. If she and her husband could continue to stay in their trailer, they'd do better. But it's too hot for them here now. They want to go to Michigan. Michigan's numbers are down.
-
Here's the thing about babies -- they reach an age where they cry if they look at you. They are much more fun about 18 months old.
-
Jane, yes, I think the Pearls and I are going to do a dinner at some point soon.
-
Could you drive, stay in motels along the way and in Chicago and meet them in the park?
Three days each way. Keith does all the driving and doesn't want to do a fast trip.

Right. It seems like a lot of risk just for me to hold her.

Good, though I wouldn't want to do it inside of a restaurant.

John G., there is a youtube channel called "Glen and Friends Cooking." Sometimes he pulls out old church cookbooks and whips up a masterpiece.
I love looking through mine. True, there are way too many gelatin salads. But there are some great veggie recipes in them and a few good entree ideas.

Six!

We just watched the wonderful A STRANGER IN TOWN.
-
Jane, remind me exactly which or whose conversation. I've only done this new thing twice, both times today (well, last night and today).
I have done it a couple of times and friends have had to do it.
-
DR Jane I am so sorry that you will have to wait longer to see your grand-baby. Hopefully the time will come very soon.
Thank you.

Finished with my viewing.

I rarely check on my past books on Amazon, but guess I should - this review showed up in March and I'm just seeing it - have no idea who wrote it:

This was a great peak into the life of a Hollywood presence who was prominent in the 1970s. I vividly remember Mr. Kimmel's appearances on TV from when I was a kid, and I'm a huge fan of "The First Nudie Musical," which I saw on cable when I was a teenager. That movie shaped who I am as a person, really (which is probably not something I should be so open about admitting, I suppose). I know people who are friends with, or work with, Mr. Kimmel and I've met him and seen some of the great shows he's directed, though I don't actually know him personally. I jumped at the chance to read more about his life and the making of his film(s) when I recently found out about this book. The book describes life in Hollywood for a (successful) working performer in the 70s and 80s (with some hints of what happened when things changed in the 90s), a time when the biz seemed particularly fascinating. It's a dense book, packed with information, a quality I appreciated. The author is, or at least seems to be, unflinching in his confessions, which include a brief dalliance with a noteworthy celebrity, desire for many other women, troubled personal relationships with marriage, family life and dating, and some starkly unpleasant career crises. I cannot honestly imagine what it takes to be an actor, or what drives these performers, and so it makes for riveting reading. There's a clear trajectory that I've seen in the experiences of people I know who dwell in Hollywood, a story I've heard time and again--the first "hit" really is free, and is often followed by trials that test one's interest in remaining in the business, or even in the town, literally. One needs an ego of steel, a lot of luck, and maybe a dash of naivete, to persevere. This book proves what I've long believed, personally (cliche though it may be); for some people there simply is no other way of life imaginable than show business, for whatever rewards it offers, and for someone creative, who feels compelled to create, it's a fairly obvious place to settle, for all its ups and downs. I appreciated going on a compelling ride with someone who has done so many interesting things and had such experiences as are worthy of writing a book about, and look forward to checking out his other work. Highly recommended to fans of the 70s, the "Nudie Musical" movie, showbiz memoirs, and actors in particular.

very nice review.

I'm almost through the first disc of Lonesome Dove. I don't think I ever saw this all the way through. I know I saw the last couple of episodes.
The cast is wonderful. They make the limitations of TV easier to take. I didn't realize how much I missed seeing Robert Urich.

Nice review.

Listening to excerpts from Countess Maritza, the JAY recording, courtesy of elmore. Very entertaining.

I probably haven't tasted Miracle Whip since living with my parents. I guess serious mayo aficionados deride it, but are there, in fact, some decent uses for it?
Yes, there is. I use it in my shrimp and macaroni salad. It doesn’t taste right with mayo. My sister hates Miracle Whip, she won’t allow it in her house; but she loves my shrimp and macaroni salad.

Okay, you all have gotten to me. I've taken the Sherlock Holmes Collection off the shelf and placed it on my burgeoning to-watch pile.
I love the Basil and Nigel SHERLOCK films, except Hound of the Basketballs. Nothing wrong with their version, I just the entire story is stupid and not mysterious.

I usually watch 1776 and INDEPENDENCE DAY on alternate years. I actually haven't seen either in a couple of years, so maybe I'll watch both, also. :)

Hi, Tom.
-
My favorite Von Schmicter film is THE MAJOR AND THE MINER about the young boy who pretends he is older so he can work with his father digging coal....most amusing.
I always thought Schmichter's son John did a nice job with that musical about the nudies.
:))

I must be in a July 4 state of mind. I'm thinking about hot dogs and baked beans for dinner and craving potato salad and cheeseburgers.
I'm craving potato salad, too. Been looking through cookbooks for a recipe I want to try. I'm picky though, about my potato salad. No Velveeta and mayo combinations (one recipe), no Miracle Whip (way too many Texas recipes), no canned peaches.
Velveeta in potato salad??
Peaches?
WTF is going on here? Is our DR John G. having a nightmare?
:o

From DR TCB:
I used my CBD cream (Solace) on my neck and it has really helped. Still in pain, but I can move.
Moving is good. I would try it if I could order it by mail.
You can buy it in any pot or CBD store. It is legal.

For Fourth of July, I watched HAMILTON.

I can't imagine a decent use for it ;D
I agree!
-
For Fourth of July, I watched HAMILTON.
What did you think??
-
TCB, I'm the one who mentioned your sister's husband.
We Js all look alike. ;)
Eventually I would have gotten to you.
-
I think I'll listen to Dearest Enemy tomorrow to celebrate the Fourth.

That's a good one! ;) I think I'll try to dig it out, too.

I got a lovely email from my British conductor friend about the orchestration I sent him. It may end up on a recording next year.
That would be so cool, Larry!
-
Rite aid sent "me" an email to take a survey regarding my experience at the Scranton store.
When were you in Pennsylvania?
-
I am out of here!
-
Back from some travels.
Oh, my goodness! :o
-
I am out of here!
Good night, Tom.
-
TCB must feel better - we decree it.
Or do we decry it?
Decry the decree! ;D

Rite aid sent "me" an email to take a survey regarding my experience at the Scranton store.
When were you in Pennsylvania?
Not for a number of years now and I wasn't in Scranton, but then they also called me Rita.
-
We lived in Pennsylvania 5.5 years.
-
I probably haven't tasted Miracle Whip since living with my parents. I guess serious mayo aficionados deride it, but are there, in fact, some decent uses for it?

But Tom, does she know that you use Miracle Whip in your shrimp and macaroni salad??
-
We lived in Pennsylvania 5.5 years.
My dad was born in Pennsylvania.
-
Just had to share. :)
-
So was my father yet he never visited us there.
-
And we lived outside of Philadelphia where he was born.

So was my father yet he never visited us there.
My dad's family moved to California when he was maybe six or seven. I don't think that he's ever been back.
-
And we lived outside of Philadelphia where he was born.
My dad was born in Pittsburgh.

Good night, Jane.
-
Today was a very slow and quite day at work.
-
Not everyone is back full time.
-
A lot of people are able to telework, but not everyone, of course.
-
I'm back at work for good now, unless I take time off, which I did today.
-
I went to my parents' to play Phase 10.
-
I actually won! :D
-
It's been a while since that happened.
-
Gratuitous Post #200! ;D
-
We actually played two games, and I won the second.
-
I didn't bring any mini cheesecakes this week.
-
We just had some chips and salsa con queso (cheese sauce) and some chocolate chip cookies and chocolate cake with whipped cream.
-
It was all quite delish.
-
It was simple, but very good.
-
After we played our two games, I left and went to Fred Meyer.
-
I got some cat food, and Kozy Shack chocolate pudding, and diet Pepsi.
-
I had coupons, so I saved maybe 25% of the total. :)
-
Then, I got gas for my car because I really needed to get gas.
