So, I ordered a couple of slices from Make My Cake and had them delivered. Last night I had the strawberry layered slice, which looks better than it was, while I watched Midsomer Murders, abd today I shall have the carrot cake slice.

It was tasty, but not as wonderful as Rosa's or Cafe Frida, and I missed the margaritas and friends.

I may finish watching Season 3 of Jeeves and Wooster, and I'm still researching literary agents for my next blast of submissions. I'm rather happy with the latest version of the A&T book. I have a few phone calls and emails to answer, including a lovely long one yesterday from our former DR Ben, whom I miss very much. I am so happy we have DR singdaw back with us.

I'm amazed, too! Once you are dismissed, things may change so keep your doctor on speed dial in case.

A friend who had been through your surgery advised me to be careful about the ride home, that every bump was an ordeal, so I hired an ambulance service and it was a great investment.

Most of the crumbled biscuits were gone this morning.....I picked up what was left and took it to the front yard, where I crumbled some more.....so the birdies in the front yard can have a treat.

And BB can have something to look at when they start walking around out there.

I am also astonished and think it is wonderful. May you continue not to need them once you are home. Pain is normally a reminder to us not to do too much. Without it, please be extra careful to not overdue anything and give yourself time to heal.

And tomorrow I'll do a bit under 1000 as I already know what I'm going to make here and it's VERY friendly.

You could order just slices? What a good idea! My favorite food store sells slices of their wonderful cakes and that it what I usually purchase for my birthday. I'm not a fan of traditional birthday cake, anyway, so one slice of the Tres Leches cake or even one of their fruit tarts works well for me.

I'm glad you were able to have some treats for your birthday.

I used to eat a lot of Amy's frozen foods. They were definitely among the better choices. That one look quite good.

I have Amy's frozen entrees quite often. Of course, like most frozen dinners, there's a lot of sodium in them

Performances on CD run anywhere from two hours and thirty minutes to almost four hours (the Klemperer, which seems very divisive but which I found sounded incredible. Those who defend it defend his slow tempos, whereas others like these new-fangled speed-throughs in this movement called HIP (Historically Informed Performance) - I read a fun article by someone taking that movement to task as a bunch of know-it-all bullies - my kind of article :) So, I might try the Klemperer. The other high marks one goes to Karl Richter. His is over three hours but still shorter than Klemperer - I didn't think the sound was as good from what I heard on YouTube.
