We watched the Emmy Awards last night.
Turned the show off after a half-hour.
Looking at the winner's list this morning, there was not one show that we had seen.
Talk about being out-of-the-loop.
:)
but there’s a cat on me.
But YARE, Blanche, YARE in that wheelchair.

I was just on my way to posting that!
Rehearsal yesterday was cool and windy and grueling, but definitely gratifying. We ran straight through the show, and it was so rewarding to once again hear our original cast from five years ago.
(They were able to reassemble the cast with the exception of two people — one who had conflicts, and the other (our Sara Jane Moore) who had just passed away following a long battle with cancer.)
I have absolutely no idea how this is truly going to be pulled off, and how it will be received. Well, we never know the latter, do we. But this group is definitely breaking ground with the drive-in concept, and I really hope it’s successful and they reap the rewards they deserve.

When is your performance date? I hope it goes well.
In the meantime...
Where in the HELL is DR vixmom?
Was there a trip to Florida or something I've forgotten was upcoming? I hope all is well in vixland!
Vibes that something wonderful comes out of that book, DR Elmore!
DR DRUXY I know what you mean.....it's like the Emmy Awards are being awarded to shows in a different dimension than the one I exist in.....and well....I guess they are.
For the TOD I will concur with DR ELMORE's lists.
I enjoyed MR BK's story and lyrics in the notes. Very nice.

Thatch loves to stalk the pigeons on the fire escape.
DR George, my dad died around 1:00am on a Thursday and we buried him on Saturday, I'm curious that your dad's services are about a week away from his death. I hope this week goes smoothly for your family. I loved the photo you posted on Facebook.

I loved Mildred Natwick in most everything, including Mabel Pritchard in At Long Last Love. Is it sad that I can remember her character’s name? I bet George knows it as well.
I just officially made the final revisions to the A&T book. I'm very proud of how it's turned out. I wish the 2021 Writers Market book of literary agents were out, but it usually isn't published until November.
I love this photo of Street Cat Bob. I'm so looking forward to the holiday release of A Gift From Bob.

Rob Berman and Chase Brock sent me these books for my birthday.
DR TCB I am sorry about your scooter battery. Isn't it fairly new? You need something like AAA to go out and give you a quick charge, or a friend to push it home for you. Too bad you don't live closer to DR George. He is always hopping in his car to help folk out.
In the meantime...

I celebrated my birthday by picking up my senior National Park Pass.
Darn, the smoke began slowly rolling back in this morning. Our air quality is unhealthy again. Sigh.

;D Is it free on your birthday?
Wishing the happiest of celebration wishes to DR Laura on her big day! I hope there will be pancakes.
Happy Birthday, DR Laura!

Drop-in visitor has come and gone and now it's a waiting game until groceries arrive and I can eat. They have until four and that's when they'll probably get here.

I had a drop-in visitor, too!
Where’s Vixmom?
Sorry about the air quality, DR Jane. >:(

Ha! It was probably $5 when you got yours. They raised the price to $80.
Went and got my seasonal flu shot this morning. There were quite few other folks doing the same. I fear this fall and winter are going to turn very dark in the public sphere.
Wishing the happiest of celebration wishes to DR Laura on her big day! I hope there will be pancakes.
Thank you, Singdaw. No pancakes, but my DH made french toast for breakfast.
Typing that made me feel better.
Where’s Vixmom?
I hope she hasn't abandoned us for Facebook.

Haven't tried cabbage, Jane.
Andrew Lloyd Webber's YouTube channel has scheduled some more shows, starting with Fame this Friday.

The one I really want to see is that bizarre musical version of War of the Worlds. I saw that album for sale for years. Never bought it. I think I was right not to. I checked it out of the library a few months back and downloaded a copy, but I don't think I've ever listened to it.
