Well, you've read the notes, you and the notes had a reunion, and now it is time for you to post until the reunion cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: BUTYRACEOUS!
Smoke on your pipe and put that in.
-
That's pretty cool about the reconnection, BK. :)
-
Yesterday, I brought my work laptop home and invoiced a few invoices because I had to leave early. I paid a few invoices, so that'll help. Today is the cut-off for the monthly invoicing, but I can do more tomorrow, if I need to. Also, my cousin and his wife are coming up from Oregon, so hopefully I can get enough done so that I can leave a little early to spend some time with them.
-
And now, I'm off to bed. I'd just better not forget to bring my laptop back to work! ;)
Have a good day, all!
-
I had a little lettuce left and a little Eyetalian dressing left and my stomach was making hungry noises and since I was only at 900 calories I ate the salad - lettuce has nothing, dressing maybe 200 calories, so still fine.
-
Good morning, all!
-
I am all at sixes and sevens this morning. I need to plan the trip downtown to Fifth Avenue and 22nd Street to see my podiatrist and, while I am there, get my flu shot. Since I can no longer put on my shoes and socks without mechanical assistance I must not forget to take my shoe horn and sock aid.
-
Last night I had strange dreams, including a long one about the last foundation I worked for between 2010 and 2014. All I remember now is an emergency bus ride uptown with my friend Matthew. The bus would not stop at my point of departure and this led tro a fight with the bus driver anb my forcing open the doors to jump off stops away from mine. Then there was a chase back to my part of the Upper West Side before I woke up. Then I couldn't get the tune of "Ah! Ah! ça, maman, c'est lamentable!" from Hans le joueur de Flûte.
-
BK, your anecdotes about catching up with old friends were fun to read.
-
I'm not much of a fan of Rex, either, but I do love "Away From You." There's now a musical called Six, about all of Henry VIII's six wives, which I would think, for the amount of time it plays, gives all six wives short shrift.
-
DR vixmom, please take care of yourself and your health. Thanks for posting on Facebook for me.
-
DR TCB, how goes the kitty search?
-
DR singdaw, I wondered when you would begin to feel tired. Pamper yourself and do little for a couple of days.
-
Kitty cleanup is over/ I want to take all of my painkillers ASAP so by 11:00 they're in my system.
-
I want to be out of the apartment no later than 11:15
-
I think Miss Jayne Mansfield was the most BUTYRACEOUS of all 1950's film stars.
-
Continued miracle vibes for MR BK.
I also enjoyed reading the "catching up" stories. That is probably the BEST thing about Facebook.
-
Getting there vibes for DR ELMORE.
-
We have our first ZOOM rehearsal today. Then I don't have another until Friday.......
-
Good morning!
-
Continued vibes for DR singdaw!
-
Good morning, all.
-
I have never seen The Seven Percent Solution. I do remember seeing the ads, etc, back in the day, and it just never grabbed me as being something I should run out and see.
-
The crazy dreams keep happening this week, and I'm remembering very little of them. The last one this morning, though, was a very weird abstraction based on some mic problems they were experiencing last night, and how they were being resolved.
-
I have never seen The Seven Percent Solution. I do remember seeing the ads, etc, back in the day, and it just never grabbed me as being something I should run out and see.
I saw it just after it opened, and I remember little about it now except for Regine singing a bit of "I Never Do Anything Twice."
-
Wednesday morning greetings! One of our favorite lecture series at Miami University resumes today - on Zoom, of course - Dr. Tammie Gerke talking about the national parks. Today's topic: Mt. Ranier.
-
I am ready to head downtown. I would rather lie down and be buried (a Candide reference). Pray for Rosemary's baby!
-
Good morning, all.
-
Been a busy day so far.
-
Two!

Ask BK:
On castrecl’s chatboard this week, it was discussed that Ghostlight may be giving up the ghost on physical CDs. Downloads only now. Have you ever thought of adding downloads to your Kritzerland lineup? Or going purely digital?
-
I enjoyed reading about the unexpected reunions in the notes.
-
From DR TCB:
Starting tomorrow morning we have several large rainstorms coming thru until the weekend.
Is is raining up there? It is here. I

I've heard about that, but there's also another musical called Six Wives (http://castalbums.org/recordings/Six-Wives-2013-Concert-Cast/37397/), that has two women (Alexandra Silber and Judy Kaye on this recording) playing three wives each. Alexander Gemignani plays Henry VIII.

It's been raining here in Tumwater for a while. It started last night...after my sister's boyfriend and I helped my mom with her back yard!
-
I had two wonderful taxi drivers and I am home and happy to be here.
-
I went back to bed to try for a short nap to help make up for my late arrival home last night. As soon as I got settled, there were three phone calls within ten minutes. Fortunately all junk, to be ignored, and even more fortunately, I got to sleep before any others could bother me. I slept about an hour and a half, which got me good and groggy afterwards, and, before awakening, inspired one of my crazy dreams about apparently living in L.A. and having to walk a stretch of Wilshire Blvd. The most interesting thing about the dream was how I envisioned an up-to-date Beverly Hills. Impossible to describe, though.

I doubt Ghostlight will do that - they all talk the talk but rarely follow through. We don't get download rights to things we reissue, so the only thing we could do downloads only would be things we produce ourselves and I think our crowd still would like CDs.
-
I'm up, I'm up - seven and a half hours of sleep.

I prefer the physical CD.

Jane, good question on Cave of the Yellow Dog.
A little background. The cast is a Mongolian nomad family playing a fictional version of themselves. The dog was a real dog the filmmakers found. He was untrained. After the filming, the family adopted the dog, who does NOT die in the movie.
-
Louisville is on edge today with the Breonna Taylor grand jury charges. They’re boarding up places even in the suburbs.
-
In the comedy department, had an e-mail from a customer that read: When will I receive my show CD? That's it. Not when he ordered, not what he ordered, just that. People are really something sometimes. So, I find his order, check his tracking, and it was delivered today. Do you think this guy had the courtesy to send another email to say he'd received it? Of course not. That would never occur to these people.

Thank you. I will see if Keith is interested in watching it. His answer would have been a definite no if the dog died.

I hope things stay calm. Aside from being sad, violence only gives more votes to Trump. :(

As a kid, I really enjoyed it, except when the special effects during the train fight were less than special. But I haven’t seen it since.

The local mailer gave us front page above the fold - unfortunately the headline writer forgot how to spell PUTNAM County. I guess it could have been worse.

I was once cast as Flute in a Midsummer Night's Dream production that thankfully never opened. DR Ginny, were you in that?
-
Hello! Anybody at home?
-
Page three?
-
DR elmore3003 - glad that your travels concluded safely and uneventfully.
-
Hello, Tom.
-
Watched Enola Holmes this afternoon on Netflix. A pleasant 2-hour diversion from what's going on in our weary world.
I'm so clueless, I didn't realize I was watching Henry Cavill playing the young Holmes until I was watching the end credits. He doesn't take his shirt off in this production.
-
Page three?
Better than Page three at 11:00 pm! ;)

If willing, please vote for my friend's photo at https://ourfirstfed.shortstack.com/63M0dH/rrrr2?we=82908190-252907589&fbclid=IwAR0PFRxUSJwcaoJoOXw6jqNCYx1u8dCZV5rwhGCijSiaspxOxS0aynQSW8M It is easy, just open the link, scroll down to the photo labeled SEQUIM LAVENDER FARMS, and click on the heart. Yes, she is a Bernese Mountain Dog friend :)
Susan P is also a travel agent and has had a very hard year. She has spent hours & hours on the phone getting people home, changing travel plans, and cancelling trips. All the while watching her commissions go away, yet continuing to work hard for her clients. I would like to see something good happen. Today is the last day to vote. I did it 5 times using my computer, cell phone, tablet, and then Keith's cell phone & tablet ;D

I voted! That's a great picture, Jane! There are also a lot of other really good pictures on the site. I looked at the end at some of the pictures that didn't get any votes. Some of those are pretty good, too.

I shall shortly be on my way to sup. I have figured out all the calorie variations, too :)

Thank you for voting. I too enjoyed looking at all of the photos. Of course I especially enjoyed the the beautiful dog in the field in Lavender. As often happens these contests really come down to how helpful your friends are.

I voted......that IS a lovely photo DR JANE.

I just finished my first ZOOM rehearsal.....I am now EVEN MORE IMPRESSED with the Kritzerland Shows On The Web......
-
Thank you very much DR Jrand.

Hi guys
-
I had a reunion of my own today
-
Had a half hour chat with the former coworker who pushed me into applying for my current job
-
Then I came here in an attempt to start catching up but dozed off
-
Elmore am sorry you are having such health issues I wish there was something I could do
-
Had a half hour chat with the former coworker who pushed me into applying for my current job
Nice. I hope this wonderful former coworker is doing well.

I'm now leaving work to go to my mom's and visit with my cousin John and his wife Angel for a while. They came up for the service on Saturday.
Be back later.
-
Have a nice visit George.

I just finished my first ZOOM rehearsal.....I am now EVEN MORE IMPRESSED with the Kritzerland Shows On The Web......
I find Zoom is horrendous, technical-wise, with terrible sound. We did several tests when we were first figuring out our shows and ruled it out instantly.

Back from an absolutely wonderful meal. Prime rib, creamed spinach, a small amount of mashed potatoes, no bread, no butter, no sundae, so right around 1100 calories all told and boy were they a good 1100 calories. I forget how much I love prime rib when it's top of the line. Outdoor dining wasn't quite full up but there were quite a few people there. I don't honestly know how they afford to eat there - thankfully, I was treated.

I want prime rib.

Two officers were shot this evening but it’s not been tied to the protests. Both are stable.

I do, too. And to be treated, too.
-
Is that so much to ask?
-
Thinking about a walk.
-
Would the think system work for a walk?
-
To walk or not to walk, that is the question. Whether tis nobler in the mind to suffer the fat grams and calories of outrageous diets...
-
Is that so much to ask?
Not at all.
-
What would a prime rib do?
-
I’m fading fast.
-
Good night, all.
-
Back from a brisk 2.5 mile walk.
-
Tons of traffic on Ventura near Ralph's and as I got closer I saw why - about forty trucks, trailers, because in the middle of a pandemic with everything shut down and businesses going belly up, they're shooting a Warner Bros. TV show or movie - think it was in a small restaurant but why you'd need all those trucks to shoot in a small restaurant is anyone's guess. I thought they might be shooting in Ralph's, but that didn't seem to be the case. And on the way home via Moorpark, there were even more trucks.

You mentioned going to Tam O'Shatner's. Until I read what you ate I didn't realize it was Lawry's.

I amd glad they are both stable. The news make it sound like the shootings are related to the protests :(

Jane, Tam O'Shanter's IS Lawry's - owned by the same folks - it's on Los Feliz Blvd. Same menu, pretty much only they don't carve at the table or do the spinning salad bowl.
-
I figured that out and looked it up.
-
My mother's prime rib was always far better, as was her yorkshire pudding. Still, Lawry's was pretty good. The last time I was at Lawry's was for my father's 90th birthday. There wasn't much on the menu I eat anymore.

Well, we've been down for ninety minutes. Isn't THAT a fine kettle of fish. I'll leave this topic open for a while.
-
New notes are up.
-
So annoying. Server hiccup. What I always find astonishing is that apparently I'M the only one who EVER reports this stuff and gets it fixed. All their other customers must be real morons. I discovered it at around eleven-forty when I went to paste the notes into the form.
-
Contacted our guy immediately who got right on it - but it took him thirty minutes to get it all working properly.
-
I gotta tell you...
-
Have a nice visit George.
Thanks, Jane! We all did. :)
-
What happened?
-

Last night's visiting with the visiting cousins was good.

We had tacos for dinner!

Yummy!

I tried to post.

Everyone really enjoyed the food and conversation.

Good.

PAGE FIVE DANCE...FINALLY!!

:D
-
Last night's visiting with the visiting was good.
I am pleased for you.
-
It seems as if my friend won the photo contest :)
-
Yes, but did you play Phase Nineteen?
-
I won the photo contest. I was the only entrant and my photo was of clipped fingernails. Very artistic.
-
Yes, but did you play Phase Nineteen?
No, not this time. We just ate and chatted.

-
Last night's visiting with the visiting was good.
I am pleased for you.
Thanks, Jane. :)
-
That's what I did - ate and chatted - it's amazing how helpful actual human contact is.
-
My mom showed me my dad's urn.
-
I didn't think to take a picture of it, though.
-
It's really nice...a green (I think) rectangular box that looks like marble.
-
My dad liked green.
-
I'll try to get a picture later.
-
My mom said that she decided that she's going to keep it on the night stand next to what used to be my dad's side of the bed.
-
It is weird to have the notes up for the 24th but to be posting on the 23rd.
-
I said that she should do whatever she wants.
-
A friend of hers had her husband's ashes in a container in the trunk of her car for quite a long time...I don't know how long specifically, but I got the impression that it was at least a few years. :o
-
It is weird to have the notes up for the 24th but to be posting on the 23rd.
I know.

Maybe...

-
...will...

SIX!!!
-
Whew!
-
That's what I did - ate and chatted - it's amazing how helpful actual human contact is.
So true.
-
At least, we got to Page Six!
-
Tonight (Thursday), we're all going to my sister's for dinner.
-
George I am sorry I interrupted your story about your father. My timing was bad. I hadn't seen any of your posts.

George I am sorry I interrupted your story about our father. My timing was bad. I hadn't seen any of your posts.
No problem, Jane! I just barreled through. ;D
-
Tom sent me an e-mail (that I didn't see at first) then texted me, asking if I was on HHW.
-
I texted back that I hadn't logged in yet, but when I tried, I couldn't either!
-
:o
-
But it's all good now.
