Well, you've read the notes, the notes were 149%, had revenge and an Easter bunny, and now it is time for you to post until the Easter cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: LEPORINE!
-
That must be where I saw him before.
-
Well, I'm off. Happy Easter (to any and all who celebrate)!
Have a good day, all!
-
Happy Easter!
-
Good morning, friends.
-
I have a confession: I have never eaten a Peep.
-
However, I am interested in trying a Cherry Ripe.
-
Doesn't Julie Andrews sing about Cherry Ripe early on in Victor/Victoria?
-
It's an Australian candy bar. Those kooky Australians! They're the bee's knees.
-
Good morning, all!
-
Hope you are feeling better this morning, DR elmore3003.
-
:)

150%!!!!

I am so sorry that I missed REVENGE. Yesterday afternoon, around 3:00 I began feeling quite puny. The whole day I had felt under the weather and lethargic, and I spent it lying in bed with the cats watching TV nonsense and napping. I think this may just be the approach of a bad cold coming from the constant weather changes, but I am, not happy about whatever it is, missing REVENGE, and missing the SRs and others at the Q&A.
I am really hoping we get another shot at it next week.
-
Once I have cleaned the cats' dishes and the litter in another hour, I am making the bed and lying down again. I honestly don't feel terrible this morning, just congested and lethargic.
-
Hope you are feeling better this morning, DR elmore3003.
Thank you. DR singdaw.

BK, I'm g;ad you liked Penelope. It was the last opera production I saw at Manhattan School of Music around ten years ago. The music is beautiful, but, like watching Pelleas and Melisande, I was bored out of my mind and walked out after Act One. I much preferred Monteverdi's version of the Odyssey, The Return of Ulysses to his Homeland, which I had seen earlier at City Opera.
-
Speaking of Homer, the Iliad, and the Odyssey, DR JohnG, thanks for the tip about A Thousand Ships. It sounds interesting. Many years ago Marian Zimmer Bradley (I think) wrote a novel about Cassandra, The Firebrand, that both goddaughter Charlotte and I enjoyed.
-
Since this is Easter, HARVEY comes to mind today.
Aren't rabbits...even giant ones...a part of Easter?
HARVEY with Joe E. Brown was the very first stage play I ever saw. I was 5-years old, and my grandmother took me to a matinee performance at the Metropolitan Theater in Seattle. I still have vivid memories of that performance.
However, I was also very disappointment when the play was over.
I kept waiting for the giant rabbit to appear on stage, but he never did. 🙁
-
Good morning, all. Happy Easter!
-
Thanks for the tip, Elmore. I’ll look for The Firebrand.
-
Good morning, all!
-
Hope you are continuing to feel better, DR Elmore!
I wonder if you could have had a late reaction to your second shot. Perhaps it contributed in some small way. Of course, you also had a crazy week.
-
This morning's repast is going to include bacon and freshly baked (i.e., Pillsbury) cinnamon rolls.
I don't smell it wafting from the oven yet, so Cook must be late.
-
Cook must be late.
I hate it when that happens.
-
:)
-
True DR singdaw.
-
They are broadcasting from SS Peter and Paul Cathedral this morning.....and the organ is very flat.....
The choir just sang John Danker's song.
-
Must be a holiday.
-
I switched over to DECADES where they are showing Police Woman all day.....
-
I like Angie Dickinson and Earl Holliman.....and one of them is wearing some long manly sideburns.
-
Angie, baby. You're a special lady.
Or so says Helen Reddy.
-
:)
Very scary.
-
Elmore, what a difference the word “the” makes. The book you recommended to me was “The Firebrand.” I just read that Matt Gaetz’s autobiography is simply “Firebrand.” I’m glad I didn’t get the two confused.

Isn't the book I'm thinking of titled "The Firebrand?"
-
This was the copy I gave Charlotte. I think Avon published it.
-
I enjoyed REVENGE last night. It was a most excellent use of the technology.....reminded me a bit of what Alfred Hitchcock might do with ZOOM......
-
Back from a wonderful walk.
I will say this: walking in shorts, a t-shirt, and no coat is much more enjoyable than walking in long sweat pants and a parka.
-
DR George I am glad your mother's hand is feeling better.
-
DR George thanks for the vibes last night. I NEVER should type on my tablet at night as the position always hurts. Last night I knew not to push it so I could remove the books, dust & put them back this morning. Mission accomplished.
-
I also want my shoulder in good shape so I can pick Freyja up.
-
I have a confession: I have never eaten a Peep.
You are lucky ;D
-
I burned some bacon for lunch. I am glad the weather is nice and I can open the doors and windows.
-
Chewy.com needs to give their shipping dept. lessons in packing their orders. They may be prompt shippers but an idiot packed the shipment that came in yesterday afternoon, and Thatch's shrimp treats are too delicate for the rough handling the lousy packing caused.
-
I'm up, I'm up - 150!!! and nine hours of sleep. Whee!
-
Today I am having gastrointestinal issues, so maybe I am going through the after-effects of the vaccine. Still, that vaccination was five days ago!
-
Good afternoon!
-
Happy Easter!
-
I enjoyed "Revenge" very much, BK!
-
:)
-
Yum, yum! Nothing better than bunny ears for breakfast on Easter Sunday!
-
A lull.
-
A lull, I tell you.
-
And I just did.

elmore, the vaccine side effects alway occur twelve to twenty-four hours later. You're dealing with something else.

Two nice review for Revenge, both loaded with SPOILERS, so if you didn't see it don't read these reviews.

Had Island's for food. I called and ordered - bacon cheeseburger and fries, burger medium well, an extra cup of their season salt for the fries. I picked it up, came right home. No season salt for the fries. Burger tepid to cold AND medium RARE. I ate it, but I wasn't happy and I'll be having a little chat with the manager tomorrow.
-
Let's move on.
-
THREE!!!

Back from a wonderful walk.
I will say this: walking in shorts, a t-shirt, and no coat is much more enjoyable than walking in long sweat pants and a parka.
Yes it is, not that I have worn shorts yet this year.
-
I'm home. The drive back was nice. Started listening to a new book called Featherhood, a memoir of a British writer who saves a magpie and finds his life changed.
-
Starting a movie called Rich in Love with a great cast -- Albert Finney, Jill Clayburgh, Kathryn Erbe, Ethan Hawke, Alfre Woodard, Piper Laurie -- and a script by Alfred Uhry. Somehow it's horrible. Not a believable moment in the script. 45 minutes in and I'm ready to stop it.

It sounds moving. I just put a hold on it at my library.

As much as I love Albert Finney this doesn't sound very good.

Since I want mindless entertainment tonight we are going to watch Godzilla vs. Kong.
-
150%!!!!
I'm a little late to the celebration, but Hoo and Ray!! :D

I haven't used a purse in close to a year. Going through both my purse & travel bag there were a good number of expired items which needed replacing.
-
My travel size (4oz) sensitive toothpaste has been discontinued. So far I haven't found a replacement. At least I have lots of little sample tubes from the dentist. Unfortunately he also stopped carrying the flavor I like.
-
DR George I am glad your mother's hand is feeling better.
Thanks, Jane. I went to her house again today with the plan of mowing her lawn, but it rained this morning and the grass was still wet, so I couldn't. We played three games of Phase 10 (I won one), and she made me some egg salad for sandwiches. Yum!

So, did anyone watch the SAG Awards? I totally forgot to set my DVR (it was on at 6:00 here on the left coast), but it's going to be rebroadcast at 9:00.
-
Hello, everyone.
-
I started a series called THE RESTAURANT on Amazon Prime Video. It takes place in Sweden in 1945. So far it's interesting. It could get very interesting. We'll see how it plays out.
-
I have no other news, just a relaxed day.
-
Is it too early to start sending Jane travel vibes?
-
Health vibes to Larry, TCB, and anyone else who needs them.
TTFN.
-
Page three? Really?
-
I have no interest in the SAG awards. Let me guess: Anthony Hopkins lost. Why? No one watched it and they knew who they were voting for for months.
-
Good evening.
-
I'm sorry I missed REVENGE last night. The easter bunny visited our house a day early and a certain small person found eggs all over the yard.
-
That sounds sweet, Laura.
-
I’m falling asleep.
-
But let’s finish this page first.
-
One more.
-
Four!
-
Good night, all.
-
Put gas in the motor car - sixty-five bucks did not fill it up quite - just disgusting. $4.19. Then went to Gelson's for Diet Coke, food for tomorrow, and now I'm home. I watched a motion picture earlier and now I'll listen to music and why shouldn't I?

Yup.

Listening to Andre Previn, which always makes me happy.

Possibly but I will take vibes it actually happens this time, and that we all stay well.

That one reviewer is a total butthead.

I am sorry, but I am having breathing problems this evening.
-
I doubt I can think of much to say.

I am sorry, but I am having breathing problems this evening.
Oh, no!

I hope someone can pick up the slack.

Hello, George.

~~~Easier Breathing Vibes for Tom!!~~~
-
Hi, Tom.
-
How much did you pay for DOLLY?
-
~~~Easier Breathing Vibes for Tom!!~~~
LOL! I thought you just wished me Easter Breathing Vibes.
-
So, I brought home my laptop from work so that I could do a little work this weekend.
-
But I can't sign into the computer system that I need to do my work, so it was a wasted idea. ::)
-
It's fine, though...I only wanted to get started on paying the credit card bill, but I'll be able to get it done in plenty of time, so all is not lost.
-
How much did you pay for DOLLY?
The discounted Amazon Prime price is $22.57 + $2.12 tax = $24.69.
-
I could've gotten it for a little less, but it would've taken longer to get here. I ordered it on Thursday, and it's supposed to arrive tomorrow. :)

I'll definitely post a report!

Well, something's wrong with my computer. I have no sound! I've played YouTube videos, some videos saved on my computer, but no sound...not even the sound of the remote that normally comes through the TV.
-
However, I do get sound when I watched TV through cable (even the remote makes sound then), so it must be my computer. I've got some investigating to do. :-\
-
I picked up some slack but the slack wasn't happy about it.
-
I gotta tell you.
-
Why I oughta...
-
These local LA reviewers are really terrible writers.
-
But we can extract the "I loved it" from the review.
-
I'm forever blowing bubbles.
-
Still listening to Mr. Previn.

And then I wrote.

What am I, doing a monologue?

I must be.

I don't doubt that this CD might be the same thing, but since it was made in Norway, their laws might be different than US laws and that's why this can be sold. ;)
-
Just a thought.

Norway?
