Well, you've read the notes, the notes were 182% and the Indiegogo campaign has successfully ended, and now it is time for you to post until the successful cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: EFFICACIOUS!
-
Congrats on 182%
-
Can't wait to get the Blu-ray...and the other stuff I chose!
-
Well, I'm not getting together with the family today. We're going to go to my sister's tomorrow. Instead, I'm going to my friend Margo's and have lunch because she and her middle daughter are going to the beach for a few days, and I'm going to feed her cats while they're gone and she's going to update me on her feeding practices. I probably won't be back home today in time to watch the rebroadcast of Revenge, but I might be back in time for the Zoom meeting. Hope it goes well, either way!
-
And now, I'm off to bed.
Have a good day, all!
-
Good morning, all!
-
I am very happy that the Indiegogo campaign ended so successfully.
-
I am still having bad after-effects of the biopsy nearly three weeks ago, and if things haven't calmed down by Monday, I will call my doctor.
-
Because of two days of ID.me/unemployment tsuris, my worktable was a disaster since I literally upeneded it in a desperate search for my missing passport. Yesterday, I finally organized it, so I can actully work there again. I will spend some time there on Oh, Boy!
-
Good morning, friends.
-
Very happy about the successful conclusion of the GoGo campaign.
-
Sounds like a wonderful concert, DR John G.
-
Too bad they didn't also play the "Cat"certo.

-
I am happy to report no side effects from the second vaccine shot; also, my arm is even less sore than from the first round.
-
~~~FEEL BETTER VIBES~~~ for DR elmore3003!!!
Annabelle wants him to write her a vocal concert piece.
-
Congrats to MR BK on 182%.....
-
Sorry DR JOHN G - the pork chops were all consumed before you even asked. I only had five small ones.....zips up the back and no bones.
TOD:
Son of Fury (although in real life he didn't grow up to look like Tyrone Power)
Planet of the Apes (Conquest of & Battle for)
"People Are Alike All Over" - Twilight Zone
I am happy to report no side effects from the second vaccine shot; also, my arm is even less sore than from the first round.
😊
-
Good morning, all.
-
Don’t feel like moving yet.
-
But the sun is up and the bird wants me to acknowledge him.
-
DR elmore3003, do you know Jeremy Jones? He is the current conductor of Miami University Men's Glee Club. Their new recording, "We Are," has been quite favorably reviewed in the new issue of Fanfare.
-
Good late morning, all.
-
Been lazying about this morning.
But I shall have to get my ASS into gear sometime soon. It's already a nice day out there, and the next few are going to be chilly and rainy.
-
It's too bad LEGEND OF HELL HOUSE leaves something to be desired, because it's so close to being great. If it's mainly a decent score as BK points out, that's really sad.
I always remember first seeing it on Hollywood Blvd., and I want to say it was at the Fox. I really liked it then, and I've enjoyed it the few times over the years that I've watched it at home because it's one of those in which I've always managed to forget much of what transpires. I'm well overdue for a viewing now, and I do have that Shout Factory BD and I'm not sure I've even watched it -- so let's rectify that, shall we?
-
Too bad they didn't also play the "Cat"certo.
That was five minutes of joy.
-
Onward
-
Two!
-
I'm up, I'm up - seven hours of sleep.
-
Cooler this morning - I had to close the screens.
-
DR elmore3003, do you know Jeremy Jones? He is the current conductor of Miami University Men's Glee Club. Their new recording, "We Are," has been quite favorably reviewed in the new issue of Fanfare.
No. He's way past my time there. DR Ginny and Richard might. He was a member of the Men's Glee Club.
-
Off to run a few errands.
-
DR Laura, your prediction in 2017 finally came true. Today, at the age of 3.75 years, Thatch officially became a lap cat. I don't know how Annabelle, who's been The Lap Cat for these past 3.75 years, may take this turn of events.
-
I am packing. Is this really going to happen.
-
Good afternoon!
-
Congrats on 182%, BK!
-
DR Ginny my google photos on my iPhone (I have no clue why) told me that 7 years ago today we met you and Richard for lunch.
-
That was our trip to Cleveland when our plane was fogged in and me missed our S.F. connection to Cleveland. In tears that we were then left with only one day to see Bryan I decided it was time to live near a major airport that had more options for non-stop flights.
-
Interesting timing for this reminder as I am rather emotional that I will finally get to hug my children again.
-
I am packing. Is this really going to happen.
Yay!
OMG, I can hardly imagine that! :)
Congrats on 182%, BK!
Super congratulations!
I found two more Talavera pots for the front -- and large ones, too. The prices were unbeatable. 80% or more less than other places. The garden is growing.
-
"Janet's face looked as puzzled as someone who has just learned how to spell rendezvous."
Great line from "Ben Yokohama and the Cookie of Doom," a kids' book I'm currently enjoying.
-
I am getting my second Pfizer in a couple of hours...
-
I hope to be there for Revenge but I cannot promise as I don’t know how I’ll react
DR Jane, I am so excited for you!
A pity the writers haven't learned about gazelle similes. :)
~~~~VIBES VIBES VIBES~~~ for you, DR vixmom!

Today, at the age of 3.75 years, Thatch officially became a lap cat.
Huzzah, DR elmore3003!
-
I don't believe I will make it to the Q&A tonight, but looking forward to a second dose of REVENGE!!!!!
-
I am getting my second Pfizer in a couple of hours...
Great news.
-
Watching a production of On the 20th Century with Judy Blazer and Joanne Worley, who is a wonderful Letitia Primrose.
-
I'm also trying to finish up a dreary Zola novel strangely titled Joie de Vivre. I think a lot of it was not translatable back in the early 20th century. I just came across "enciente," because it was too scandalous to use "pregnant." Oy.
-
I hope to be there for Revenge but I cannot promise as I don’t know how I’ll react
You won't have any reaction other than perhaps a sore arm on the first day. IF there's a reaction at all, it will occur twelve to twenty-four hours later. Hope to see you at Revenge.
-
Back from a great bacon and cheddar cheese omelet at Hugo's, with tomatoes and that's it.
-
Then I drove to Hollywood to see the new Amoeba store. As I suspected there was a line to get in. What I didn't expect was that the line would be over two blocks long. What the HELL is wrong with people. That's a two-hour wait to get into a store. And frankly, I didn't even see the name of the store in front, which I found odd. I drove on, of course, and then went to a store in Reseda that is smaller but basically the same, with the same really low prices on classical stuff. I got a few things and then came home. Traffic was TERRIBLE everywhere.
-
I found two more Talavera pots for the front -- and large ones, too. The prices were unbeatable. 80% or more less than other places. The garden is growing.
It sounds as if your growing garden is very pretty.

Yay. How is your boss feeling?

Thank you.

Listening to a Strauss opera called Das Spitzentuch der Königin.
-

The only good unbowdlerized translation of Nana, I believe, is the latest Penguin edition, and the same is true of wonderful The Count of Monte Cristo in Robin Buss' excellent, uncensored translation.
-
Listening to a Strauss opera called Das Spitzentuch der Königin.
The Queen's Handkerchief, the source of the wonderful Strauss waltz, "Roses from the South."
-
Yes, I recognized that immediately - but it's really a delightful little operetta filled with attractive tunes.
-

I read that version of The Count. It was great.
-
Well, it's been an interesting afternoon.
-
The post office suddenly "found" two items that the shippers claimed to have sent, and the post office delivered, some time back. One was supposed to have arrived two months ago, the other two weeks ago. I received them today. so that's good. Except for the carrier, who really messed up. They've been sitting here in my building all along, but in the wrong person's box.
-
Then an Amazon grocery order arrived. All was good there, except that I'm missing Brussels sprouts and parsnips, and instead got cherry tomatoes and raspberries and asparagus. The wrong bag was clearly marked with my name and address, so not sure what happened there. Not the end of the world. But it's the first glitch I've had with Amazon groceries.
-
I know. First-world problems.
-
Vent concluded.
-
So, how about those Mets?
-
Or how about Moby Dick?
-
It's about this...
...whale.
-
I just LOVE Roz Russell's line reading on that.
-
Aww, I'm glad Thatch is finally a lap cat. You are very patient.
-
Leonard walks over me, but he's too big to fit in my lap. When he tries, he spills over.
-
My daughter-in-law found a couple of toddler bikes on facebook marketplace this morning, so she asked if I could pick them up right away before someone else got there.
-
So we got to visit with an excited toddler for a couple of hours.
-
That's always fun.
-
As DR Ginny will attest, and DR Jane will soon be able to, as well.
-

And where has the person with your items been?
-
I know. First-world problems.
;D
-
I'm excited for you, Jane. But don't be surprised if she doesn't want to be held. She might be too mobile and excited to be held.
-

Wow, how much does he weigh?
-
I think he was about 15 pounds when I weighed him.
-

Thanks for the reminder. I already expect this. I will settle for just be able to touch her.
-
I think he was about 15 pounds when I weighed him.
I am picturing him large & trim vs fat at that weight.
-
One hour to show time.
-
Hoping Laura will be there.
-
My daughter-in-law found a couple of toddler bikes on facebook marketplace this morning, so she asked if I could pick them up right away before someone else got there.
Are those the bikes without peddles and they push with their feet? I can't wait to get Freyja one.
-
So we got to visit with an excited toddler for a couple of hours.
Lucky you. Were they the same colors or different?
-
I plan on being there, BK. I wasn't able last time because the family was here for the first time since Christmas.
-
One has pedals and training wheels, the other has no pedals. Their house is carpeted, so they really wouldn't go anywhere. He was just happy to sit on it.
-
My DH is on the phone with his brother. This might be the phone call we've been expecting with bad news.
-
Saturday evening greetings!
DR elmore3003, do you know Jeremy Jones? He is the current conductor of Miami University Men's Glee Club. Their new recording, "We Are," has been quite favorably reviewed in the new issue of Fanfare.
No. He's way past my time there. DR Ginny and Richard might. He was a member of the Men's Glee Club.
We do, indeed, know Dr. Jones. Well, as well as you can “know” a conductor you’ve watched work. Richard has sung with him in glee club reunions, too. He seems like a good guy.
-
DR Ginny my google photos on my iPhone (I have no clue why) told me that 7 years ago today we met you and Richard for lunch.
That was a fun day!

Gee, what a bargain! Lucky I don't know many bourbon drinkers.

Yay! Hope all goes smoothly, DR Vixmom.
-
I'm ready for a little Revenge.
-
I'm ready for a little Revenge.
Me, too.
-
Got some more plants today. A hibiscus and a type of jasmine for the two new pots. A new fig tree. (I really think my original is dead.) Lavender. A couple of other things.
-
Heading over to YouTube now.
-
One has pedals and training wheels, the other has no pedals. Their house is carpeted, so they really wouldn't go anywhere. He was just happy to sit on it.
Both kinds, fun. I hope they are even more entertaining once he rides them outside :)

I am sorry.

Will these also stay in pots?
-
It is currently 50 degrees here. Today we had a little bit of rain, hail, & wind.
Tomorrow the sun is going to come out and the temps will go up. At the same time the good weather Ginny experienced in Chicago is gone. It feels like we are taking the current weather with us.
-
I am really looking forward to wearing a mask for about 6 hours without a break, unless we eat or drink something. I know, I am spoiled not having to wear one more than a few hours at a time ;D
-

Very good news, Singdaw!

What a great thrill ride Revenge was.
-
Five!
-
Got some more plants today. A hibiscus and a type of jasmine for the two new pots. A new fig tree. (I really think my original is dead.) Lavender. A couple of other things.
Will these also stay in pots?
The fig will go in the ground. I need to look for a more secure space for it than the previous one, which was sort of too exposed when the snows came in. The rest will be for pots.
-
Well, that was a lot of fun! I'm off to bed.
-
Enjoyed the play again, and that was an enjoyable Q&A again, too.
-
I got Mikey up in the picture for a moment, but he was hungry and being restless so it didn't last.
-
I really enjoyed seeing some cats in those screens. Thank you, ChasSmith and Elmore.
BTW, Annabelle's butt shot to the zoom camera was hilarious. Yes, she is a diva.
-
There was a dog, too. I think it was Harley Walker's.
-
My DH is on the phone with his brother. This might be the phone call we've been expecting with bad news.

Mother's milk to this Kentucky boy.
;D I would love to tour some of the Kentucky distilleries, and of course have samples.
-
Q&A was super fun this time - so many fun people. Hope Laura did end up watching and Vixmom, too - neither were at the Q&A. But quite a few dear readers were there and I was much more prepared this time.
-
It's also nice that the actors were interested in showing up a second time.
-
I think the real question is why didn't dear reader Jane watch it either time and I don't want to hear about hearing issues since Revenge is not a musical and is no different than watching a move or TV. I await.
-
I just finished the last of the long list of things to do today :)
-
It's also nice that those actors were interested in showing up a second time.
Yes, and dying a second time.
-
I am going to go watch tv if Keith is done with his list.
-
If he isn't I will read.
-
It's also nice that those actors were interested in showing up a second time.
Yes, and dying a second time.
It's the least they could do for us.

The very least.

Yes, this evening was fun! I’m sorry, BK, if I was a pill getting into the Zoom. Yesterday I did a big system update on my computer and discovered this evening that I had to reinstall Zoom. Not my most graceful entrance, but I think I’m back in business now.
-
Sorry I didn't attend the Q&A this time, but sure did enjoy REVENGE the second time. So many little things I didn't pick up the first time, including FORESHADOWING. Very clever! And even when you know, the second time around, what's going to happen, all the more enjoyable because there's lots of stuff to notice and look for. Bravo/Brava to all!
-
Good night, friends.
-
Glad it all went well!
-
Oh dear, I started watching HOW THE WEST WAS WON and fell asleep almost all the way through HUD so I missed Revenge & the Q/A.
-
I am so excited for DR JANE's trip!!!
-
Happy to hear DR singdaw had no second shot repercussions - hoping the same for DR VIXMOM.
-
I was going to get a plant or two yesterday, but when I saw what I wanted and headed there.....a woman who had her toddler riding on the flatbed cart rolled up in front of the flowers.....and then had the little darling get off and pick out the flowers she wanted.....which took so long....several were chosen and then put back....and then chosen again, etc.....
ANYWAY.....I just went home.
-
Well last week received over $10K in ticket orders and donations....so I guess people still want to see a show.....even if there are only 80 people in the audience.

Great news. What’s the average ticket price?
-
Watching the test of The Pornographers. There’s no nudity on screen. Very strange movie, but really good. I can see its influence on a lot of subsequent directors, including Tarantino.
-
Six!
-
I did watch and enjoyed it very much. Afterwards, I began researching plane tickets.

Great news. What’s the average ticket price?
Well, $10,000 divided by 80 is $125, so that's one way to raise money quickly.
;)
-
Watched an interesting ballet, had a fantastic chicken Caesar from Stanley's (no croutons), and now it's back to music.
-

Where you going? Barcelona?
(A Sondheim reference)
-
A local theater company is doing an abridged, one-act version of Antigone in the park. They want $30 a ticket. I’m not convinced. They’re doing Our Town next month, which has a little more appeal.

I've never seen either of those. I'd usher for either (or both), but I don't know if I'd pay $30, either.
