Well, you've read the notes, the notes were both pleasant and little, and now it is time for you to post until the pleasant little cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: COMMODIOUS!
-
Topic of the Day: I only saw his first two, and I think I liked the first one better than the second.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
Nice lights, DR George! I hope your sister really appreciates you!
-
Good morning, all!
-
DR George, I was afraid you were putting lights on the chicken coop.
-
I get to test Access-a-Ride today. I must see the urologist who removed the kidney tumor last year. On my way home I must stop at a UPS store to return that defective telephone to Amazon.
-
I stopped believing in James Bond when Sean Connery gave up the role. I didf see Daniel Craig's Casino Royale, and that was enough.
-
DR TCB, there has been interest in turning the Magoo Christmas Carol into a musical, but I've heard nothing more about that in some time.
-
No posts in over two hours?
-
I am already to leave, and I wait to hear from AAR.
-
My favorite Craig Bond, thus far, has been "Skyfall".
I don't know if it's because Judi Dench bites the dust at the end or not.
My all-time favorite Bond is "On Her Majesty's Secret Service". My favorite film AND score in that series.
-
Sunday was Sunday, can there be any doubt about it?
Monday is now day.
We shall see.
-
I had a good time on my chats yesterday.
The first one went a bit over two hours.
The second one was about three hours for me. I left after 5 p.m. but there were others still going strong.
We talked about movies and music and all sorts of stuff relating to all of it.
-
My ride is now late, so I called Access-a-Ride/ "We're still looking for a vehicle."
Why the fat hell don't they start looking around 9:00?
-
Good morning, all.
-
I have come down with a cold.
-
I’m going to try to take it easy but doubt if I can.
-
TOD:
I’ve never been a big Bond fan, but I generally enjoy them when I watch them. I’ve seen maybe three or four at the theater. I missed the last one, but I have a reservation for the new one at the library.
-
Ride vibes for DR ELMORE.
-
Monday......today is probably our last day this season with temps above forty.....snow is predicted for Tuesday evening.
-
I enjoyed the first Daniel Craig as James Bond film.
I really REALLY hated the one that concentrated on his family - his dead parents and all the personal stuff.....that may have been the one in which Judi Dench died - I hate her in the role of M....just too much.....
I have not seen the latest one....perhaps it will be streaming somewhere soon.
My local flickers emporium has not updated its line up for this weekend.....but I am hoping WSS shows up on it.
-
Wind chills below zero here today. At least it is sunny.
-
Black Diamond apples are produced in Tibet.
-
I don't know if I have ever seen a Bond film all the way through.
-
I am a cultural heathen.

They are pretty.

George the lights look nice.
-
TCB, just passing through Bakersfield searching for summer.
-
DR TCB reminded me that I neglected to wish DR Donald, our very own dear Donald Feltham, a very happy anniversary on his The Broadway Radio Show.
THANK YOU!!!
-
DEUX!!
-
Good morning, all.
-
Exhausted but happy to have four days off from the show. Matinee was great, and next Sunday's matinee is sold out. Those are good audiences in this jernt.
Thankfully, our sn*w date of Thursday is NOT needed, so I and a few others will now get to see a nearby theater's original and purportedly hilarious take on Dickens. I shouldn't even say purportedly, because I know the writer/director, and he's very very talented in that regard.
-
Nice lights, DR George! I hope your sister really appreciates you!
She does! ;D
-
DR George, I was afraid you were putting lights on the chicken coop.
Fortunately not! :o I would NOT help with that!

I am a cultural heathen.
You see, folks, it's through seemingly innocuous posting like this that the aliens occasionally let their pants down (SO TO SPEAK) and inadvertently reveal their true selves. Sometimes you gotta wonder if they ever go out without putting their human skin on. Scary stuff, man.

I am home from my errands. At 10:00 I cancelled AAR and then called Dr Glickman and canceled the appointment. As soon as that was done, I got a text saying my AAR ride wopuld arrive in two minutes. He pulled up, asked my AAR ID number, talked to his dispatcher and drove off, leaving me and my walker in the street. I decided I would rum my errands I had planned to do after my appointment.
-
George the lights look nice.
Thanks, Jane.
-
I walked to the corner postbox, mailed one bill and two Ne6flix DVDs, then waited forever for a taxi. The one who showed up was an angel sent by God, one of the kindest and most considerate drivers I've encountered in the past two years. I got to the UPS store and dropped off the defective item whil;e he waited with the meter running. By the time I was home, the refund had been issued.
-
I made a dough for shortbread Springerle. I like this much better than Mom's version, plus there are variations on changing the flavor. I used almond extract instead of vanilla. Next, I may try cherry or chocolate.
The dough will be ready in about 20 minutes to roll out. We'll see how that goes.
-
I finished Trollope's Christmas at Thompson Hall, which is just a hilarious story of mistaken identity, mustard plasters and flowing beards. I enjoy revisiting that every few years.
-
Good morning.
-
I had a nice hike this morning. But it is SO COLD.
-
I had to put on long pants.
-
Britches. As it were.
-
I had to put on long pants.
So sorry for your hardships.
-
Speaking of apparel...
-
I need to get to the post office, a trip I’m not looking forward to.
-
Speaking of apparel...
Well, yes. You do.
-
I don’t.

DR John G: ~~~VIBES~~~ that your sniffles are brief and not overly impactful.

Good one! ;D
-
I could use a brother like you, George. The lights are very pretty.
-
I used to put up lights. Then one year I got them all up and one bulb was dead, so none of them worked. I couldn't find the dead bulb, so I pulled them all off and threw them away. Now I just put out a wreath.
-
It got scary climbing the ladder, anyway. Now I wouldn't dream of climbing a ladder.
-
I could use a brother like you, George. The lights are very pretty.
Thanks! And thanks! ;D

Yup! My parents and my sister have experienced the same thing.
-

Couldn't have said it better.
-
I went for a covid test, even though I'm sure all I have is a cold. But we'll see in a couple of days.
-
I also got my mail off, the cards to Germany, a gift that cost three times the value of the gift itself to mail, and the bulk of Christmas cards.
-
And now I'm sitting here like so much fish.
-
I received a Christmas gift from Amazon today. There was a gift receipt but no indication of who the gift-giver might be.
-
I'm up, I'm up - eight-and-a-half hours of sleep, then calling AAA (the refund did arrive a week ago with no identifier on the refund that would tell me it was AAA.
-
Then I went and did the deposit I tried to do yesterday.
-
Monday evening greetings! My friends in Current Events Club were very pleased with the party favors they found at their luncheon places today. I’m glad I’d finished making them before Richard’s mishap 2 weeks ago.
-
For DR Ginny!
Thank you, DR Elmore!
-
Evening is nigh here.
-
I could use a brother like you, George. The lights are very pretty.
Couldn't have said it better.
Thanks, John!
-
After a Sunday of nothing I wanted to see on Television.....tonight at 7 p.m. there are TWO things I want to watch......
-
Is anyone else singing Sondheim's "Pleasant Little Kingdom" to themselves every time they see today's Subject title?
-
Good evening!
-
I thought I might go to NYC in January to see "Morning's at Seven." Unfortunately, it closed yesterday.
-
Yes, DR George is a great brother and son!
-
And uncle!
-
It's only a step and a leap
-
One more...
-
FOUR!!!!
-
A friend of mine makes what she calls "ice lanterns." I think they're wonderful!

Was that earlier than expected?

Early birthday wishes to Jane! Hope traveling is good.
-
BK, we'd sent you a very little something edible, but I still haven't gotten the email that it shipped. Hope it'll get there by Wednesday????
-
Ginny, send our love to Richard.
-
Ginny, send our love to Richard.
Thanks, DR Freddie! He’s making progress…

For those of you on Instagram, if you wish, you can follow a new account, @sondheimletters for the real things.
-
Good news, DR Ginny!
-
Freddie, got notified it's arriving tomorrow. Thanks!
-
Rehearsal was surprisingly smooth and effortless.
-
Now eating a fried catfish po' boy from a nearby eatery - so good. Had it delivered thanks to a coupon savings.
-
Good night, friends.
-

I like them, especially the second photo.

Good.

Today we left the fog expecting to catch summer.
-
Alas we arrived a few hours late and missed summer.
-
I was expecting 80 degree weather, which it was earlier today. By the time we arrived it was a cool 74 degrees and dropping.
-
It looks like tomorrow will be a cloudy 68 degrees, no sun,
-
Temperatures here are cooler than usual, and I don't like it when I'm not feeling my best.
-
Fever's gone, but the sore throat is still there in fits and starts.
-
I couldn't handle the psychological depth of Rudolph tonight, so I'm starting Jungle Cruise. I like Emily Blunt, but the whole movie appears to have been written for the under three set. Even the CGI is tired.
-
Still, our villains, Jesse Plemmons and Paul Giamatti, are fun. Oh, and there's The Rock.
-

I am the same way when I don't feel well.

Sorry. Feel better.

We enjoyed it. Maybe it is because you don't feel well 😊

It moves quickly, and the action is a whole lot of fun. But the humor is elementary, at best, and not just the bad puns that Dwayne Johnson says.
-
It's kinda like the musical Baby. It's great when the music is on, but when they stop to talk, no. Just no.
-
Five!
-
Good night, Jane.
-
Where's Jeanne been lately?
-
Good night, all.

What did I do with today?
Well, I found out rather fortuitously that a doctor's appointment I thought I had for Wednesday is actually tomorrow, so I had to get some papaerwork together and all my meds and sprays, etc. They won't take my word for it...they want to see it for themselves.
That took all of about 45 minutes, I reckon.
I did a lot of surfing today, not that I remember much of what I read...just old stuff...posts at FilmScoreMonthly Message Board.
I tired to go out for lunch, but there is only one place (that I frequent) that is open on Mondays. I went there and everyone in town apparently had the same idea. While there was plenty of parking outside, there was a long line of people awaiting food.
No thanks.
So I came home pre-heated my oven to 400 degrees, and then I baked a chicken pot pie for the next 50 minutes. It was most yummy.
For dinner, I had a cheeseburger and onion rings from that same place (they have a cafeteria side and a grill side. The grill opens at 5:30 p.m.).
-
That's it. That's all I know.
It's sad, isn't it.
Oh! Tonight's NCIS was one of the best new episodes I've seen in quite a while.
-
That's it, then.
-
It's kinda like the musical Baby. It's great when the music is on, but when they stop to talk, no. Just no.
;D. We still thought it was fun.

In some ways though it is easier to let them write everything down.

'night

Watched the first thirty-five minutes of Cyrano. Ho-hum dee dum.

Yes, DR George is a great brother and son!

I wish I had a brother to put up decorations for me.

Keep watching, it kind of grows on you.

I have an Instagram account, but I've never posted anything.

I'll definitely follow this! :D

Hi, Tom.

I wish I had a brother to put up decorations for me.
So do I! ;D

-
Well, tomorrow's going to be a day.
-
I'm taking the day off, and I only have one thing to do.
-
At noon-thirty, I have an appointment at the local Subaru dealer, and I'm going to order me a new car!
-
It'll be built for me and I'll get the (few) options that I want!
-
I went through they 72, count 'em, 72 options for the car, and I really only wanted two.
-
I was talking with a co-worker today about it, and she said that one of the two (all-weather car mats) are available at Costco, so I'll probably get them there, because they'll DEFINITELY be cheaper than getting them from the dealer!
-
PAGE SIX DANCE!! ;D
-
A few weeks ago, I posted pictures of a car that I was told was going to be held for me at the Tacoma Subaru dealer, but they never contacted me or even responded to my direct e-mails, so too bad for them! >:(
-
They won't get my business!
-
So, I'll get the car I want, AND they said that I can get the Costco discount, so I'm really happy about that.
-
Hopefully, there's a low interest loan deal going on now, too.
