Since I've only seen the opening number from one of the talk shows, I have no thoughts on the show itself, but from that one number I think the show, which was about upper middle class New Yorkers when I saw the original production, looks like a group of college students.

It was very over the top and very entertaining. A heist movie in the vein of Ocean's 11 and its ilk. Totally unbelievable, and totally well done.

I did that for five minutes, then back to bed. Same thing again. Up and back to bed, and again, up and back to bed. I finally fell asleep again and got two more hours before the handyman arrived. He's here now.

Post by: ChasSmith on January 10, 2022, 11:02:20 AM: Still thinking about the Adventures of Stella, I have to say that Mikey was an experienced escape artist from day one. Now he's thirteen and a bit mellower and easier to watch out for, but in his first several years here, you had to be careful every time you were going to open an outside door. He did, in fact, get out several times over those years, and we don't think he ever went far from the house, but it's scary nonetheless. In these parts you have to be concerned about the raccoons, hawks, coyotes, foxes (and I don't mean the kind those wild and crazy guys had to deal with), bears, and god knows what else, let alone the possibility of him getting all the way down to the road - which is fairly unlikely but you still think of it. Fortunately, these days, the one door he always crouches near, ready to dart, is the one to the basement, which has a place that he can jump up onto a warm air duct and take a nap. We have no idea if he could ever harm it, or it him, but we'd rather he didn't get down there.

He's mostly been working on the problem in the bathroom, which had to do with water leaking near the wall and causing the wall to start cracking. The other issue was some plaster from the ceiling had come loose during one of the shakers we've had. I dread to see the mess he's made in the bathroom that I'll have to clean up.

Post by: bk on January 10, 2022, 11:13:54 AM: The futzing and finessing is done - all two hours of it - based on stuff I thought of, I had to completely revise the dialogue of one sequence and that took quite a long time to get right. Then a few other things here and there, and the usual additions and subtractions. It's better now, I think. I'll try to write one or two new pages, then I'll start thinking about food.

It will be sold online.....it took FOUR hours for them to load everything in their trailer. They were very nice and very efficient.

We kept moving from room to room ahead of them.....but eventually we ended up with no chairs to sit in - so to speak.
