Well, you've read the notes, the notes ran amok, and now it is time for you to post until the running amok cows come home.
-
And the word of the day is: HEADLONG!
-
Topic of the Day: all of them. ::)
-
Not a believer in any of it.
-
Well, I MUST go to bed now because I need to get up earlier than usual...and certainly earlier than I ever want to wake up on a Saturday. ;)
Have a good day, all!

Good morning, all!
-
I slept really well, which still surprises me. Thatch and Annabelle were with me most of the night. If Stella joined us, she was very cvovert about it, Usually she pounces onto the bed, climbs all over me, tries to get her face close to mine as possibler, as if she;'s checxking out that I'm not surreptitiously eating something she qwould like or if she's checking that I am who she hope I am.
-
I remember bits of several dreams, one about a recordind I was making with Judy Kaye, and one in which I kept seeing the word "BASI,LY."
-
DR JohnG, I hope your vacation continues well.
-
DR Jeanne, some videos that cheer me up when I need a boost are these:
Soap Dish It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
Miranda Hart Jeeves and Wooster
Cold Comfort Farm Moone Boy
Blandings Vicious
Absolutely Fabulous Clueless
Fawlty Towers The Court Jester
The Carry On Movies
Hot in Clleveland

I'm not really up, but Tom sent me a text last night saying that he's having trouble with his computer and his electronic devices, so he couldn't post last night. Hopefully, they'll all be better soon!! And now, I'm going back to sleep!
-
Hi, Larry!
And good night. 8)

To me, religion is a personal matter. I'm certainly grateful that I'm savvy enough with the Bible since so much literature bears reference to tales from the Good Book, but I knew long ago that organized religion of any persuasion was not for me.
-
Thanks for the news, George! Have fun today.
-
Good morning, friends.
-
I wonder if this works. Any foodies here know?
-
It has the disadvantage of heating up the kitchen in the summer months when you're usually eating corn.
-
Good morning, all.
-
We grill corn on the cob that way, *outside*. It’s great.
-
The show was pretty great last night, with - count ’em - four (4) people subbing for others. Three were ensemble roles, but they’re tricky because the characters are continually changing. It was good to be back.

It has the disadvantage of heating up the kitchen in the summer months when you're usually eating corn.
After watching my mother husk corn on the cob before she boiled it, as a kid, there were always damaged spots and worms. I don't want to bake corn,, then husk it and find a lot of dead larvae.

Heck, yes, it works. And it tastes great, too!

I have never found a worm or spots on corn I have bought in grocery stores.
-
I have picked fresh corn in my lifetime. There were worms on some of those ears.
I don't know how commercial enterprises assess corn for potential worms nowadays, but the ears I have bought have all been rather good.

We usually got ours in the 1950s from roadside stands.

Am waiting for, and hoping to see, my porch man today. There is some repair work to be done. I believe that a re-screened porch should last much longer than a month before needing a repair, but the work needs to have been done correctly the first time.
We shall see.
-
I have been enjoying my porch each morning having my coffee and calling friends.
Yesterday, however, I was bothered by bugs buzzing me. Don't know if it was mosquitos or something else, but there was no enjoyment.

Ah, yes. I can see that happening. Love roadside stands, but you have to be leery of such things

Today is the day of THE RECITAL.....so I shall be going to that.
Tomorrow is the first day of JOSEPH auditions - and I am hoping to get some good folks and SOME of the folks I had last year.
I like it because it's some singing and then ALL DANCING. I love watching people learn my dances and then putting it all together.....so to speak.
-
As DR RON PULLIAM posted, we too are expecting a Heat Wave next week.
-
Good morning, all.
-
We have made it through Dumas and Cactus, Texas.
-
Those people who killed themselves thinking they’d hitch a ride on the Hale-Bopp comet struck me as odd.
BTW, Mom in her thick German accent pronounced that as Hell Boob.
-
Since I decided to finally vacuum, I did not go down for yesterday's mail, but I forgot there's another delivery today, so I'm going to hte basement and mail boxes now.
-
The vacuuming, from emptying the carriage to giving the main living area as thorough a cleaning as possible, took 45 minutes. It's difficult pushing an upright vacuum cleaner and supporting oneself on a cane.
-
I've been listening to a most enjoyable album this morning, Thomas Hampson's collection of Stephen Foster songas with a wonderful ensemble of players.
-
I think I should like to avoid hell boobs, if at all possible.

I think I went to college with her.

From DR John:
Had some lovely Scotch this evening.
What was it?
-
DR George I hope you enjoy your birding event this morning.
-
George, while early at least you had a ride vs getting up earlier to pick people up ;)

Computer and his electronic device vibes for DR TCB!

This is disappointing. I hope it will be fixed correctly and there won't be more issues.

;D Cute.

We have been cooking our corn in the husks in the microwave. It is easy, quick, and taste delicious.
-
Microwaved husks are easy to slide off of the corn.
-
DR George I hope you enjoy your birding event this morning.
It was kind of fun. We just walked for about three hours ::) and saw some birds, but mostly heard birds.
-
We also saw a turtle, a rabbit and a couple of frogs!
-
George, while early at least you had a ride vs getting up earlier to pick people up ;)
Exactly!

This is the best of my sightings:

More sorting and throwing has been on today's docket.
-
Now passing through Limon, Colorado.
-
Tell Jose hi!
-
Well......my sister misunderstood what my other sister said.
We were all dressed up and drove over to the recital place....and the parking lot was empty..... Turns out the recital is TOMORROW.
And of course I have JOSEPH auditions so I will be unable to attend.
-
But it was most irritating.....
-
Page Three.....
-
I would be irritated too, DR Jrand71.
-
All dressed up, and no place to go.
-
:)
-
~~~TECHNOLOGY VIBES~~~ for DR TCB!!!!!!!
-
I'm up, I'm up - ten hours of sleep.
-
Must go do a few things.
-
;)
-
DR ELMORE that was most entertaining.
-
Love it!!!!!!
-
Greetings from the LOFT.
-
Greetings from Wyoming. It’s 90 degrees
-
Today we met our friend and her daughters at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry.
-
There was a special exhibit called The World of Leonardo da Vinci.
-
It was interesting and lots hands on stuff for the younger one to keep her entertained.
-
The older one walked around reading all the details and looking at replicas of da Vinci's inventions.
-
It was fun spending time with the family.
-
DR George I hope you enjoy your birding event this morning.
It was kind of fun. We just walked for about three hours ::) and saw some birds, but mostly heard birds.
I am glad you had a nice time.
-
DR George what is the bird that was your best sighting. I suppose I could ask Keith but he is in his office.
Darn, and all dressed up. Did you find something else to do or go home?
-
Greetings from Wyoming. It’s 90 degrees
At least it is cooler than home.
From DR John:
I had to look that up. Since it doesn't appear to be smoky I would gladly try it.
-
I think I will stay away from responding to the TOD-lol
Here is something concrete you can do to help in fighting the disinformation war. You're signing up to spend a few minutes per day sending targeted emails to try to influence advertisers who support Fox "news" with their online ad revenue. All the materials you need are provided (message title, email address, and suggested message).
Finished with my viewing.
And?
Where in tarnation IS everyone?
Certainly not here.
Here is where they are not.
I may never eat corn on the cob again!
-
We often bought corn at the farm stands, but I never found worms.
-
Maybe because my mom always shucked the cornbefore I saw it.
-
She probably stuck the little worms in the tuna casserole.
-
I always hated those little square mushrooms pieces from the Cream of…. Soup she used in the tuna casserole.
-
She used to take the can out to the garbage can so she could pretend she didn’t use the soup.
Hello, George..
-
George, I hope you didn’t receive my text at 4:30 in the morning. I sent it around eleven.
-
I don’t think I am going to get these posts done by midnight.
-
I can’t type fast enough.
-
At least, not alone.
-
Today was really a beautiful day, weather-wise.
-
It almost got to 70 degrees.
-
Did I tell all of you that I saw my first $6.00+ gas price.
-
George, I hope you didn’t receive my text at 4:30 in the morning. I sent it around eleven.
I happened to be awake, so that's when I noticed it.
-
Today was really a beautiful day, weather-wise.
Very much!
-
Page five!!
-
Well, okay we got to page five.
-
I must be brain dead.
-
Did I tell all of you that I saw my first $6.00+ gas price.
Yikes! :o I don't think I've ever seen/gotten gas at $6.00!
-
I can’t remember what I did all day.
-
Today, I filled my tank at Fred Meyer and it was $5.299, but I got 10¢/gallon off because of the rewards card.
-
The biggest discount that I've ever gotten was 45¢/gallon.
-
It must have been really exciting.
-
I watched golf on TV.
-
You can get up to $1.00/gallon off with the Fred Meyer rewards card...it's all based on how much you spend at Fred Meyer per month.
-
I read a bunch of emails.
-
Well, okay we got to page five.
Whew!
-
That was the exciting part of the day.
-
Did I tell all of you that I saw my first $6.00+ gas price.
Yikes! :o I don't think I've ever seen/gotten gas at $6.00!
I think it was $6.39 a gallon.
-
After the bird watching this morning, my sister, her boyfriend and I moved her small couch, a rocking chair, and a couple of other things into a storage unit that I have.
-
Then we went to my place and we got all the boxes of stuff that I want to keep and took them to the storage unit.
-
I am listening to Josh Grobin. He is singing ”Nothing’s Gonna Harm You”
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
Yes.
-
Not making it up.
-
Not making it down.
-
I have to laugh. I can’t see him playing Toby.
-
Not making it sideways.
-
The bird watching took about three hours, and then I went home and took a nap for a couple of hours, then the storage unit moving took another couple of hours...but that involved lifting and moving fairly heavy boxes. :P
-
Now, I just need to get rid of EVERYTHING that's left in my garage.
-
I don't want to keep any of it!
-
And now...
-
PAGE SIX DANCE!! :D
-
Whew!
